Canada: Public Service Alliance of Canada announces it has received strike mandate from members - April 12, 2023

In Ottawa, representatives from the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) announce it has received a strike mandate from the 155,000 federal public servants that it represents. PSAC members have been without a contract with the Treasury Board since 2021. Taking part in the news conference are Chris Aylward (national president), Sharon DeSousa (national executive vice-president), Yvon Barrière (regional executive vice-president, Quebec), Charito Humphreys (bargaining team member and Service Canada worker), and Serge Desbiens (bargaining team member and firefighter).
