Once upon a time, a hunter left his village to search for food. As he wandered through the savannah, he spotted a young Impala that had strayed away from its herd. As he was considering the best way to catch it, he noticed a mother Cheetah hiding in the long grass nearby. Suddenly, the Cheetah sprang out and caught the Impala with impressive speed.

The hunter was amazed by the Cheetah's hunting prowess and wished he had a Cheetah to help him catch food for his family. He then saw her three cubs resting under a tree nearby, watching their mother devour her prey.

"This could be my opportunity," he thought. "Why not take one of the cubs with me to train it to hunt for me?"

Without a second thought, the hunter ran towards the cubs and snatched all three, thinking he could catch three times as much food for his family. The mother Cheetah returned to find her cubs missing and mourned for hours on end, leaving dark stains on her cheeks from her tears.

An old man passing by saw the Cheetah's grief and inquired about it. Learning of the cubs' theft, he recognized that the three cubs brought into the village that morning belonged to the mother Cheetah. The old man reprimanded the hunter for breaking tribal hunting traditions and taking advantage of his skills and abilities.

He then promised to return the cubs to their mother immediately. When the cubs were reunited with their mother, she was overjoyed and grateful. However, the hours of crying had left a permanent dark stain on her cheeks, a reminder of her anguish.
