Woodturning - Burl to Vase

In this woodturning video, I will turn a large kiln dried elm burl / burr into a vase. I decided not to use any epoxy resin as the wood itself was so incredible so wanted to keep as natural looking as possible. Due to its end grain turning coring the inside of the log was rather challenging but some sharp carbide tip cut through the wood nicely. To pop the grain, I used several coats of boiled linseed oil and left my maker mark in the bottom of the vase with the help of some two parts resin. Happy Watching 😊
