Its Hot At The Off Grid Homestead Today

It was 85 degrees at the off grid homestead today so work was slow going. If Melanie says its hot, then it must be truly hot out there.

We worked mostly indoors on this day. I kicked Melanie out of the kitchen in the afternoon so that I could work on the walls a bit for her.

I made a utensil hanging rack using a piece of 2x4 and some brass hooks. After measuring and marking where each hook would go I then screwed in the hooks.

Next I fastened the new utensil holder onto the bottom of the tiny house kitchen cabinets and let Melanie back into the kitchen to hang her new utensils.

She was excited and quite happy hanging them up. They look very nice up there.

Next I worked on hanging some towel hooks for the kitchen towels while Melanie worked outside. She was raking up some leaves around the house outdoors which she had been wanting to clear up.

The leaves go into the garden as mulch and fertilizer.

I put up Melanie's kitchen prayer wall hanging and then added two towel hooks.

The tiny house kitchen is looking very nice now.

We are both quite happy with how things are turning out.
