Homestead Days | Be Prepared

It is easy to plan and overthink things, sometimes. We can prepare all year long and learn all the things, but progress on the farm can take an unexpected turn when unforeseen circumstances occur; like the recent tornadoes that hit many of the mid southern states, that left a trail of destruction in its path.

Things like this, can serve as a reminder that we cannot plan for everything. All we can do is try to do our best and God will take care of the rest.

Matthew 6:19-21 (ESV)

19 “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust[a] destroy and where thieves break in and steal, 20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
