"You hurt my feelings is a common phrase used when someone does something that you really didn't appreciate. However, something more than a simple statement is being made with that phrase. What is being implied in the phrase is an accusation of wrong doing and a subtle demand for an apology. Is that an appropriate response to hurt feelings? Should we blame others for the way we feel?
