Violent clashes erupted as two opposing rallies were held in Milan. Up to 200 people reportedly took part in a demonstration organized by the right-wing Lealta e Azione (Loyalty and Action) movement. Protesters waved Italian flags and held banners with messages against war and in support of Russia. A counter-protest was organized later in the day. Police in riot gear clashed with participants when the two marches neared each other.
