Homesteaders of America Conference 2022 | Our First HOA Conference Vlog

Philip and I drove over 2037 miles round trip from Florida through Kentucky to Virginia and home again to attend our very FIRST Homesteaders of America Conference. We had no idea what to expect. Could it possibly be worth it?
Absolutely! The 2022 HOA conference was AMAZING! Philip and I attended nine sessions, walked through the maze of vendors, and met so many incredible, like-minded people. What a privilege to be surrounded by 5000 other homesteaders at this SOLD-OUT event all with the goal of leading a more self-sufficient, traditional lifestyle.
This VLOG of the 2022 HOA Conference is as we experienced it.... no narrative, just snippets from a few of the incredible lectures we attended and the sights and sounds of the conference.
The 2022 HOA Conference did not disappoint! It was worth the long days of driving, the early mornings, and the busy maze of events and crowds to experience this event. It reminds us we aren't alone, there are many people just like us, working to carve a different path in this journey called life.

Philip dreamed of a place where he could build a self-sufficient life. A little piece of land where he could hunt, work the land, and build a home that he could be proud of. His dream began to become a reality when he purchased the first 40 acres of Kowalski Mountain in 2016.
I met Philip online in 2018. I grew up on a small, hobby farm. While I loved the outdoor lifestyle, I was stuck in my urban life far from my roots and the lifestyle I loved.
Its hard to deny that Philip and I were meant for each other. We make a great team! We seem to be able to accomplish more than the average couple in record time. Since our Kentucky dream is built in short workcations, our ability to get things done is a huge asset.
This is our journey, the victories, and the challenges.
