Washington win was a good win but Dallas is the team you measured against during this time. And after starting a bit rough the first 3 games this was a big game for the 49ers. The Lions came back from a 17-0 deficit to claim the victory. Lost in the confusion, Detroit had 12-men on field at winning kick.

Giants desperate for a win to get into the playoffs. Cowboys were still in the running for home field in the playoffs if San Francisco had lost the next day and they win. This was a defensive struggle.
