AR-15, New and fast velocity data for 50 grain V-max. Speed trumps high BC's
For hunting and not competition, I've always know that flatter trajectory involve higher velocity with acceptable accuracy. Todays trend to higher Ballistic coefficient, longer, heavier bullets, is not necessarily better for distances under 400 yards.

50 grain Hornady V-Max will it stabilize in a 5.56 with a 1/7 barrel twist
Testing a 50 grain bullet in my 5.56 with a 1/7 barrel twist, 3,200 fps .r.p.m in a 1/7 twist barrel maybe a destabilizer compared to a 1/12 twist rate.

6.5 Grendel. New Seekins Precision Brake. Walkers Razor X 3.0 Electronic Hearing Plugs. Field Tests
Today I'll be doing a field test of the Seekins Precision Muzzle Device designed to reduce recoil and minimize muzzle rise. Also demonstrating the Walkers Razor X 3.0 electronic hearing ear buds. These enhance hearing while in the field and dampen muzzle noise to protect your hearing. #65Grendel #SeekinsPrecision #WalkerRazorX

5.56, 24 inch Barrel, as a Varmint Rifle?? Hornady 60 grain V-Max tested.
No, my rifle is not in the category of a Tactical outfit. I prefer the longer barrel and faster muzzle velocity for hunting at 100 to 500 yard range. The MSR (Modern Sporting Rifle), is easier to stay on target and deliver fast follow up shots on target without the need for manual and delayed cycling of the next round.

MY New Varmint Rifle. All the necessary first range tests.
My new MSR (Modern Sporting Rifle) in a AR-15 platform field test.
AR/MSR varmint rifle, chambered in 5.56 or .223. The 24" barrel should make this a good to go varmint rifle out to 350+ yards.

New Scope for 6.5 Grendel. WestHunter HD 6-24 x 50 FFP.
My wife gave me a new scope for Christmas. Instead of saying 'You get what you pay for', We hunters never look a gift horse in the mouth. So we always say " You pay for what you get." Turns out this scope works quite well for my needs, as a hunter.
