The ‘play dead’ or ‘bang’ trick has become incredibly popular over the past few years, so much so that there has not been a pet that hasn’t done it. Still, dogs are our favorite, because they have this incredible flair and penchant for drama, making them the number one choice for this trick. The clip lasts only four seconds, but that is all Hollywood talent hunters will need to see to grab this pooch under their wings and carry him to stardom. Everything is timed perfectly: he lays down and looks at his owner, who points her finger gun at the dog and makes a shooting sound. The dog falls to his side instantly, all fours up in the air, wrapping the scene. And cut! Another pup has shows his exceptional acting skills in the same manner, though he did add a bit more flair to his performance. This is Alex, a 9-month-old <a href="https://rumble.com/v2zbss-jack-russell-terrier-puppy-playing-dead-bang-trick.html" target="_blank">Jack Russell Terrier</a> and is one of the most diligent dogs you have seen. Standing on the bed, wiggling his perky tail ready to play, he sharpens his ears and prepares himself for the next round of orders. And the order goes as it follows: “Alex sit down, squirrel, good boy, bang! And Alex does exactly what he is told just to get that delicious doggy treat. No sooner he is acting dead on the bed, we hear another cycle of orders, this time the other way round: “Alex stand up, bang, bang, good boy” and there we see the well-behaved and polite Alex getting another doggy biscuit. They must be so tasty since he listens and follows orders so carefully. With his small, sturdy and natural looking appearance, he only draws us to him and makes us watch the video again and again. This happy-go-lucky doggy is very friendly and easy to train as long as the object of his training is a mouth-watering cracker. Alex has high energy levels like no other dog and if any dog can top the strong prey drive, determination, and intensity of a Jack Russell Terrier – well, that could only be another Jack Russell. He is bright, clever and athletic breed and is the king of what is going on in his environment. Nothing gets by him. A solitary or sedate lifestyle is not suited to a Jack Russell Terrier. He requires full participation in the family and vigorous daily play sessions, especially ball chasing, which he tends to be passionate about – even obsessive. Too little exercise, too little companionship, and too little mental stimulation will quickly lead to boredom, which can, in turn, lead to destructive behaviors.
