Some weeks it feels like every single thing that can go wrong does. We, as sailors, will anxiously wait for a part, thinking it will solve all of our problems. It's far from the truth, but it definitely makes us feel better. I attempt to replace the shaft seal, IN THE WATER. You HAVE to watch this if you are replacing yours... it really wasn't that big of a deal. Afterwards, I continue on my journey... feeling a little hopeless; which can be the reality of living aboard sometimes. Huge shoutout to @bdale2 for helping out with the shaft seal!! IF you have a boat, WATCH THIS!!!! A lot of sailors learn as we go and as things break... this is just one thing I was hoping wouldn't be too much of an issue. My shaft seal started leaking... and the bilge pumps stopped working. BUT after it was managed, it was another beautiful week fishing with the Spanish Wells fishing guys.
