This video covers C. G Jung's Red Book chapter / active imagination, One of the Lowly, as well as the Black Book 2 entry from 12/28/1913. In it, Jung explores the dynamics between the heights and depths of consciousness. Each hold their own unique value to consciousness as a whole, as without one...there is no consciousness. Without the depths, there is no essence/energy to active conscious awareness. Without the heights, there is nothing to be aware of the wholeness of the psyche. And as the title hints, this active imagination humbles Jung. We'll begin with an introduction of the material presented. This video covers the Black Book 2 entry from December 28th, 1913 and the chapter in the Red Book titled, The Castle in the Forest... After the Mysterium, and meeting his personal devil, Carl Jung is set on another inner visionary experience through his practice known as active imagination... a living out of his inner reality just as one would live out their outer reality. In this inner vision, Jung comes to some new insights about the psyche. And it is these raw experiences where his future psychology, specifically the concept of the anima and animus, come into conscious realization. In Black Book 7, and in the footnotes of The Red Book, C. G. Jung has several sets of runes come through his active imagination. As Jung explored his unconscious mind, two inner figures connected with the runes arise. Jung and his soul allow these figures to speak, leading to the runes and further insights within. In this video, we will explore the symbolic language of the unconscious which Jung spent his life uncovering. While these runes may not be your runes, our exploration will lead to truths about the collective unconscious in us all. Jung, Emma Jung, and Toni Wolf - A Collection of Remembrances In 1941, Jung spoke with Suzanne Percheron about many topics... such as truth, channeling, the conscious and unconscious mind, men and women, dreams, wisdom, chasing happiness, suffering, and many others. It is a rather lengthy quote, as well as a bit sporadic. I believe Suzanne is recording Jung's remarks to her statements/questions by hand, so this would explain the style. Jung's 7 Sermons have truly never seen the light of day. Why? It was not written by the Gnostic Basilides in Alexandria, who it was attributed before the release of the Red Book. It also was not written by Philemon, who it was attributed before the release of the Black Book. The sermons occurred rather through C. G. Jung himself. The first sermon of this series dives into psychological cosmology, as Jung discusses two realms. Eternity and creation. Throughout this sermon, we will touch on many psychological concepts such as individuation, the collective unconscious, archetypes, the EGO-Self relationship and more. This video is a bit numinous. Not only the material covered, but how it all came to be. I began with the Greek Philosophers, from Parmenides through Thales of Miletus. From there, I connected his ideas with Jung's chapter in Aion where an attraction from a specific magnet is discussed. The alchemist, the adept, was interested in a specific Echeneis fish because of its ability to attract to a vessel and have it come to a standstill. An allegory to the EGO - Self relationship. So, I covered the entire chapter in Aion where this fish is discussed.
