USPSA Open vs Production
Finally got an opportunity to practice at the local gun club and shot two divisions one after another. Here's a fun comparison between the two.

USPSA Paul Bunyan July 2020
Much needed practice before the Area One Championships coming next month. The PB crew always puts up a great match with lots of fun stages.

Why they call it Hosing in USPSA :)
A fun montage of all the hosing that I've done in the past few years shooting USPSA Open Division. Enjoy!

Captain Phasma shoots USPSA
I love this yearly USPSA Trigger Treat match, where wearing a costume is encouraged. In fact, I won $25 for top costume of the match. Obviously, shooting while wearing the helmet is not a good idea as I have small slits to look through and they were obscured with netting.
Nevertheless, I had a ton of fun :)

2020 Movember Men's Health Charity Match - USPSA Style IDPA Scoring
I shoot this match every year because of the cause. It is to bring awareness to Prostate cancer and how curable it is if detected early. All men above the age of 50 should get regular prostate blood test called the PSA Test. They used to use the "finger" technique but my doctor said it doesn't yield any better results than the blood test so we're all good there :)

USPSA Paul Bunyan March 2020 - Open Division
What a fun almost spring match at Paul Bunyan. I swear the stages are getting better and better. I'm so bummed that I can't make Area One this year which is going to be at this range.
Also, one of my best purchases of this year, are mittens. Put hand warmers in them and they'll keep your hands sweating even when it's almost freezing outside. Love it! Thanks Steve Koski for the recommendation.

USPSA Washington State Championships 2020
This year's state championships was dedicated to Gale Breitkreutz who passed a way recently. Gale and his wife Jane has been a regular fixture of USPSA matches in the area and we truly miss him.
While we didn't have Area One in Western Washington, we got to have the state championships. The quality of the match and the stage designs were top notch. I'm so looking forward to next year's major matches.
Thanks to John, Tessina, Andria, Dave, Marcel, and so many other volunteers who made this match happen.

USPSA Turkey Shoot 2020
Once a year, the Paul Bunyan USPSA club hosts a turkey shoot where division winners can get to take home a big fat 11lb frozen turkey. This year I managed to squeeze out a win in the Open division by less than 1%.
Now I can say that my hobby has put food on the table for my family ;)

Ten great stages at the September USPSA Match in Paul Bunyan
It was a tough decision to get out to shoot with Covid still around and unhealthy smoke from the California, Oregon and Eastern Washington fires. I'm glad I did, as the crew at Paul Bunyan Rifle Club did a fantastic job at putting together this match. Stages were tough and challenging with lots of noshoots and hard covers. The match had a level 2 or 3 type quality.
