I’ve been a stock car racing fan all my life, but I didn’t know it until my dad took me to my first stock car race. There’s no doubt that millions of Americans are FAIRtax fans and don’t know it because they haven’t been introduced to the FAIRtax and don’t know about all the fantastic things it will do for them. In this week’s FAIRtax Power Radio, Bob and Bob go through a list of specific things that the FAIRtax will do for small (and large) businesses. This should be of interest to all Americans who want the better living that a strong, prosperous economy provides.

We’ve all heard the horror stories about the mess at the IRS. We’ve heard how many of their printers and copiers don’t work because they’re out of ink. We’ve heard about how old and unreliable their computer system is, and we’ve heard how multiplied thousands of refunds have been delayed as the agency deals with a massive backlog of unprocessed returns. What we didn’t know until just recently is that one of the ways the IRS chose to deal with that backlog was simply to throw away thirty million unprocessed paper returns. In this edition of FAIRtax Power Radio, the Guys look at a report from the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration that details yet another reason why we need to put the IRS out of business by replacing the income tax with the FAIRtax.

Unless you’ve been a coma for the past twelve months, you’ve no doubt noticed that inflation is back in the American economy at a level that hasn’t been seen in forty years. As the inflation monster hungrily gobbles up more and more of our purchasing power, people are desperately searching for a weapon to slay the monster with. In his quarterly Walle’s FAIRtax World, CPA Jade Walle looks at some of the variables in play in the American economy and explores what effect the FAIRtax would have both on the economy in general, and specifically how it would work to curb inflation.

No one likes spending hours filling out all the complicated forms that make up a tax return. Even taxpayers with relatively simple returns either buy tax preparation software or pay a professional tax preparer to do their taxes for them. Either way, it takes a lot of time, effort and money to comply with our insanely complicated and convoluted tax code. So, it’s no wonder that the thought of doing your taxes in five minutes sounds really good to most people. But not so fast. There’s a lot more to that story. In this week’s edition of FAIRtax Power Radio, the FAIRtax Guys dig into an article published in Business Insider and examine just what other little “goodies” will come with a five minute tax return.

Unless you have a mountain of campaign cash to contribute to a politician, it can be really hard to get that politician’s attention and convince him/her to support the FAIRtax. Currently, the FAIRtax bill has 29 cosponsors in the House. Adding in the primary sponsor, that’s 30 FAIRtax supporters out of 435 House members. A FAIRtax bill hasn’t even been introduced in the Senate in this Congress. Clearly, getting politicians on board with the FAIRtax after they’ve been elected is a tall order indeed. The lesson here is clear. FAIRtax volunteers should be a lot less focused on winning support for the FAIRtax among sitting politicians, and more focused on electing new politicians who already support the FAIRtax. To that end, the FAIRtax Guys brought in John Gaver for a conversation on how to approach candidates, introduce them to the FAIRtax and secure their support before they get elected.

It’s been said that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. For decades criminals and fraudsters have demonstrated just how easy it is to defraud the IRS. Illegal tax evasion now runs close to a trillion dollars a year. Identity thieves steal millions of dollars filing fake tax returns in other people’s names. Other criminals have hundreds of fraudulent refunds sent to the same address and no one catches on. So, it should be no surprise to find that when the IRS was tasked with distributing coronavirus relief stimulus payments, that criminals stole millions of those dollars for themselves. In this edition of FAIRtax Power Radio, the FAIRtax Guys discuss an article detailing the level of fraud and abuse in the coronavirus relief program. It’s time to fix the problem once and for all. The income tax system imposes a crushing burden on the American people above and beyond the actual taxes people owe. Americans spend a staggering amount of both time and money doing all that’s necessary in order to comply with an ever changing and ever increasingly complex tax code. In this special “Tax Day” edition of FAIRtax Power Radio, the Guys turn to CPA Jade Walle for some insight on just how much our antiquated income tax system really costs us and how much better things would be if we replaced the income tax with the FAIRtax.

In their regular look at congress.gov, the FAIRtax Guys uncovered HR 7271, the “Putting Gas Money Back in Your Pocket Act”. In reviewing some articles on the subject, they discovered that there are actually several different proposals to reimburse the American people for the extra money they’ve had to spend at the gas pumps in recent months. While the details of these different proposals may vary, they all have one thing in common—the IRS will be tasked with distributing the money. This is the same IRS that is hopelessly backlogged trying to fulfill its primary mission of processing income tax returns. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that this isn’t going to end well. Listen as the FAIRtax Guys present a much better way to do this with the FAIRtax.

You wouldn’t put up with it for an instant if your mother-in-law tried to tell you how much of your own money you can put away for your retirement or how much you can withdraw from your savings. That’s none of her business. Yet, people continue to tolerate the IRS doing the exact same thing. And the IRS really has no more business manipulating your personal finances than your mother-in-law has. In this edition of FAIRtax Power Radio, the FAIRtax Guys examine how changes in life expectancy could result in changes to IRS rules regarding Required Minimum Distributions from retirement accounts. Any way you look at it, the IRS is a failed institution. Millions of tax returns go unprocessed delaying refunds for millions of taxpayers. Phone calls go unanswered. Jobs go unfilled. Antiquated equipment doesn’t work, and tax evasion is running rampant costing the government nearly $1 trillion a year. Lest you think this is a recent phenomenon, the FAIRtax Guys discuss an informative article that shows these problems aren’t new. They’ve been an issue for over FORTY YEARS and it’s not going to get any better. The only solution is to put the IRS out of its misery by abolishing the income tax in favor of the FAIRtax.

As they do every year, Bob and Bob made their way around CPAC Central, the vendor/exhibitor area, talking to other attendees, telling them about the FAIRtax and learning about the various causes they represent. In that process, Bob Paxton had the opportunity to speak with “America’s Toughest Sheriff”, Joe Arpaio from Arizona. Bob Scarborough scored an interview with David Thomas Roberts, an author who calls himself “the most audited man in America”. Earlier it was announced that the IRS would enhance security on its web site by requiring would be users to verify their identity with a third-party vendor, ID.me. The process would involve submitting a face scan along with selfie photos of the user with copies of recent utility or insurance bills. In this edition of FAIRtax Power Radio, we detail why the IRS simply can’t be trusted to keep this intimately personal data safe from hackers and leakers. Fortunately, the IRS has backed away from its partnership with ID.me, but the FAIRtax Guys show that there are still plenty of reasons why the IRS should be put out of business.

John Gaver is a busy man. Thanks to redistricting in the state of Texas, John has convenient access to candidates in two different Texas Congressional districts, two and eight. FAIRtax Guy Bob Scarborough recently spoke with the latest candidate in district eight to sign the FAIRtax candidate pledge, former Navy JAG Jonathan Hullihan. Hullihan is part of a large field of candidates running for the open seat created by Kevin Brady’s retirement. In his interview with Scarborough, he explains how the FAIRtax blends in perfectly with his overall campaign message.

The FAIRtax Guys begin this episode by going where no congress.gov segment has gone before. It’s an astonishing look at exactly why the current tax code is over 75,000 pages of incomprehensible gobbledygook that no one can understand. Then, the Guys expose one of the IRS’s dirty little secrets. With illegal income tax evasion costing the government nearly a trillion dollars a year, you’d think the IRS would be going after wealthy taxpayers who are cheating the government out of millions. But there’s a problem. These big cats can afford to hire the best and most powerful professionals to help them in their quest to keep more of their money. So instead, the IRS often turns its wrath on little guys who can’t afford to fight back. That’s just another reason we need to enact the FAIRtax and put the IRS out of business.

Congressman Mo Brooks from Alabama is a well-known figure in American politics. He is also a very strong FAIRtax supporter having been a cosponsor of HR-25 from the very beginning of his tenure in the US House of Representatives. Congressman Brooks is running for the US Senate in 2022. He was the first, and so far, the only Senate candidate to sign the FAIRtax candidate pledge in this election cycle. FAIRtax Guy Bob Paxton recently spoke with him on a variety of topics. In that conversation, his message was loud and clear—FAIRtax supporters need to do a better job electing candidates who will replace the income tax with the FAIRtax.

Milam Langella is the third of the three primary challengers to incumbent Dan Crenshaw in Texas district 2 to sign the FAIRtax candidate pledge. He is also the sixth Congressional candidate that FAIRtax volunteer John Gaver has secured a pledge signature from. In this episode of FAIRtax Power Radio, the FAIRtax Guys reveal an exciting new project that John Gaver is working on that should be of great benefit to FAIRtax volunteers around the country. Then, attention turns to Langella as he speaks first with Gaver, and then with FAIRtax Guy Bob Paxton. In his interview with Gaver, he makes a startling revelation about a growing movement in Texas which Paxton gets him to expound upon. Then he details his own personal reasons for running on the FAIRtax and why he believes that the FAIRtax fits perfectly with his vision for the country.

In this extended edition of FAIRtax Power Radio, CPA Jade Walle takes a detailed look at the differences between the FAIRtax and the Flat Tax as laid out in HR-1040.

Last week the FAIRtax Guys found an unbelievable piece of insanity on page 76 of IRS Publication 17. That’s the document intended to give individuals all the information they need to know in order to fill out their 2021 Federal tax returns. So, thinking that there must be more gold buried in those 140 pages, the Guys continued digging and found this little gem—The Taxpayer’s Bill of Rights. On page 125, the IRS lists ten “rights” that taxpayers supposedly have in their dealings with the agency. Join Bob and Bob as they go through the list comparing what’s on paper vs. what dealing with the IRS is really like in the real world. It’s an eye-opening experience and further proof that the only way to fix the tax code is to pull it all out and replace it with the FAIRtax.

In this milestone episode of FAIRtax Power Radio, we take our first look at congress.gov for 2022. As usual, what some of the Congress Critters want to put in the tax code make the best arguments for pulling the whole thing out by the roots and replacing it with the FAIRtax. Then, the Guys dig into something truly unbelievable—IRS Publication 17. It started with a meme on social media purporting to be an excerpt from an official IRS publication. The idea is so preposterous everyone thought it was fake, but it’s not. It’s real. And it’s proof positive that the United States has the most insane, most illogical and most unenforceable tax code anywhere on the planet.

The FAIRtax Guys open 2022 with a look at where three critical indicators of FAIRtax success stand. They take stock of the number of cosponsors in Congress, the number of candidates who have signed the FAIRtax pledge, and the number of vendors on the FAIRtax Marketplace. FAIRtax volunteers across the country should be striving to push all three of these numbers higher.

FAIRtax Power Radio’s first candidate pledge interview for 2022 is with Jameson Ellis another candidate from Texas District 2. In an interview with FAIRtax volunteer John Gaver, Ellis shares a rather fascinating story about why he decided to get into the race and then expounds on some of his reasons for coming on board with the FAIRtax. FAIRtax Guy Bob Paxton takes it from there starting with a look at how the race is shaping up and ending with a commitment from Ellis that if elected, he won’t be just another FAIRtax cosponsor. He will be an active FAIRtax advocate.

As 2021 draws to a close, the FAIRtax Guys take one more look back at our fallen colleague Ron Maiellaro with the hope that his life will inspire others to take up the fight to replace the Federal income tax with the FAIRtax. Then, the Guys present the 2021 Tax Proposal Hall of Shame. These are the craziest, the most inexplicable and in some cases, the funniest things the Congress Critters want to put into the tax code. Pointing out the insanity of the current system is one of the best arguments that we can make that the only way to fix the income tax is to replace it with the FAIRtax.

Of all the candidates who have signed the FAIRtax Candidate Pledge, Martin Etwop may have the most compelling story of all. Born in Uganda, Martin is now running for Congress, partly because he sees America turning into Uganda and he's determined to stop it. In this interview with FAIRtax Guy Bob Scarborough, Martin details how the FAIRtax fits into his vision to keep America the land of the free and the home of the brave.

FAIRtax Guy Bob Scarborough recently caught up with him at his favorite Saturday morning watering hole where he signed the FAIRtax Candidate Pledge.
