For decades criminals and fraudsters have demonstrated just how easy it is to defraud the IRS. Illegal tax evasion now runs close to a trillion dollars a year. So, it should be no surprise to find that when the IRS was tasked with distributing coronavirus relief stimulus payments, that criminals stole millions of those dollars for themselves.
