The Benefits of Diatomaceous Earth for Humans
Check out the amazing benefits of diatomaceous earth for humans.
0:00 Introduction: Diatomaceous earth explained
0:25 Benefits of silica
1:33 Diatomaceous earth benefits
2:20 How to use diatomaceous earth
3:30 Thanks for watching!
Diatomaceous earth has been around for millions of years. It’s a powder made up of fossilized diatoms. Diatoms are basically algae or phytoplankton.
The unique thing about diatomaceous earth is that it’s loaded with silicon. When silicon is exposed to oxygen, it becomes silica.
Silica is really good for a person’s connective tissues, joints, and bones. Calcium can’t even help you form bone without silica.
You need enough silica to help support bone mineralization and prevent conditions like osteoporosis and osteopenia.
Silica is also essential for your:
• Ligaments
• Tendons
• Cartilage
• Nails
• Hair
• Skin
• Aorta
• Trachea
There are different types of collagen. Silica also stimulates type 1 collagen.
Other potential health benefits of diatomaceous earth:
• It may help get rid of parasites, worms, pathogens, and even E. coli
• It can bind with aluminum and help remove it from the body
How to use diatomaceous earth:
Drink one teaspoon of diatomaceous earth mixed in a glass of water once per day. Over the next three days, you might want to increase it to two teaspoons per day.
Be sure to take it on an empty stomach. To help improve absorption, you can also add apple cider vinegar to the water and diatomaceous earth mixture—or take a few betaine hydrochloride tablets when you take the mixture.
If you’re only trying to build up your connective tissue, you may want to take an orthosilicic acid supplement instead. But, if you want all of the above benefits, give diatomaceous earth a try.

1:25 Why does apple cider vinegar lower blood sugar
2:42 Share your success story!
There are many reasons why you would want to take apple cider vinegar before bed. In this video, we're going to focus on what taking apple cider vinegar before bed can do for your blood sugars.
Acetic acid is the main acid in apple cider vinegar, and it's very anti-glycemic. This means it may help reduce your blood sugars after a meal. Acetic acid may also help reduce your blood sugars in the morning.
Normally, your blood sugars should be low in the morning. There is something called the dawn phenomenon or down effect, where your blood sugars are higher in the morning. This is because the high blood sugar isn't coming from your diet. It's coming from your liver.
Your liver is making extra glucose from protein, fat, and ketones. This is called gluconeogenesis. This could be caused by a problem with the blood sugars like insulin resistance, prediabetes, or diabetes.
How apple cider vinegar (acetic acid) can potentially help lower your blood sugars:
• It blocks enzymes that break down starches
• It reduces the liver's production of gluconeogenesis
• It can make insulin more sensitive (may help improve insulin resistance, hyperglycemic, and hypoglycemia)

Plants Cause Cancer Cells to Commit Suicide

Can plants help fight off cancer cells? Here’s what the research says.

2:43 Key takeaways
2:53 How to bulletproof your immune system
In this video, we’re going to talk about plants and cancer cells. Some plants have the ability to cause cancer cells to commit suicide.
The nutrient sulforaphane is found in many cruciferous vegetables, including:
• Broccoli sprouts
• Broccoli
• Cauliflower
• Kale
• Brussels sprouts
• Cabbage
• Bok Choy
The question is this: if phytonutrients like sulforaphane kill off cancer cells, do they also kill off healthy cells? Here’s a section from a study on this topic: “Sulforaphane selectively inhibited HDAC (this enzyme reduces DNA stability) activity and induced p21 expression (meaning, the death of cancerous cells) in benign hyperplasia (tumors) and cancer cells, while it only caused a transient decrease in HDAC activity and did not affect p21 expression in normal cells.”
Essentially, this means that these phytonutrients only target cancer cells—not healthy cells.
Phytonutrients like sulforaphane are safe for most people unless you have preexisting gut damage. If you have gut issues, cruciferous vegetables may cause more inflammation.
In summary, research suggests that consuming plenty of vegetables may help reduce the risk of cancer cell growth.

3:30 Learn more about the best ways to increase testosterone naturally!
Today, we’re going to talk about one of the best natural remedies to increase testosterone: onions.
Testosterone does a lot in the body, including increasing libido, controlling male characteristics, and increasing muscle growth.
When someone takes testosterone, they inactivate the gland that makes the hormone. Generally, we want to choose natural ways to increase testosterone, which can involve natural glandular therapy.
Onions are high in quercetin, which triggers the luteinizing hormone. Luteinizing hormone controls and can increase the production of testosterone in males.
Onions also have a lot of additional health benefits:
• They have powerful antioxidant effects
• They have properties that help with insulin resistance
• They have anti-cancer properties
• They can help increase nitric oxide to support the vascular system
• They may help reduce the risk of cataracts
• They may help reduce the risk of allergies
• They have potent anti-inflammatory properties
• They may help decrease blood pressure
• They can act as a diuretic
It’s best to consume raw onions to support healthy testosterone levels. However, you can sauté the onions or cook them—just be sure not to overcook them.

In this video, we’re going to talk about why zinc starves deadly bacteria.
In the Journal of Nature Chemical Biology, a study was published that outlined zinc’s incredible ability to starve off a deadly bacteria called streptococcus pneumonia.
Streptococcus pneumonia lives in the sinuses and throat. This can be friendly bacteria until just the right conditions occur for it to turn pathogenic.
If you are zinc deficient and you’re going through stress, this bacteria can become very harmful. This is because these conditions can cause your immune system to become compromised.
Streptococcus pneumonia kills one million people every year from pneumonia and meningitis.
This bacteria is dependent on manganese. Manganese allows this bacteria to transport. Zinc acts as a key to lock up manganese so the bacteria can’t be transported.
However, most people are deficient in zinc because of the phytic acid we consume in grains. Phytic acid blocks zinc.
To get enough zinc in your diet, you need:
• Red meat
• Shellfish
• Fish
• Low grain consumption
• A healthy gut

Wormwood extract can work for the following parasites:
• Pinworm
• Roundworm
• Tapeworm
• Malaria
The active compound in wormwood that kills parasites is called thujone. This is actually a toxic compound that can cause hallucinations in large amounts.
This is why some people should avoid wormwood, including:
• Women who are pregnant
• Women who are breastfeeding
• Those who suffer from epilepsy
• Children
Always check with your doctor before taking wormwood or any other dietary supplement.
If your doctor approves of wormwood, make sure you only take it for four weeks at a time. Long-term use may cause health complications.
Wormwood can be used for:
• Parasites
• Irritable bowel syndrome and Crohn’s disease
• Inflamed kidneys
• Digestion
• Increase stomach acidity
• Increase bile
• Reduce bloating
• Reduce gas

0:00 Oils to avoid when deep frying
1:13 The best oils to use when deep frying
Today I’m going to cover the healthiest oils to use when deep frying. The oils you would want to avoid using when deep frying are unsaturated oils. Unsaturated oils are very unstable, and they oxidize easily, especially when heated.
A few examples of unsaturated oils:
• Soy oil
• Corn oil
• Sunflower seed oil
• Safflower seed oil
• Peanut oil
• Canola oil
• Cottonseed oil
There is a certain chemical compound that’s created when you heat unsaturated oils. This compound could have negative effects on your heart and may even potentially increase your risk for cancer. Some of the potential effects of this compound are more dangerous than the potential effects of consuming sugar. It may also slow down autophagy.
The best oils to use when deep frying:
1. Coconut oil or palm oil
2. Tallow (fat from grass-fed beef)
3. Ghee
4. Olive oil (keep below 400 degrees)
5. Avocado oil
The above oils are more stable and won’t create the dangerous compound that unsaturated oils do. They won’t oxidize as fast, and they may be much safer when heated.

1:47 Key takeaways
In this video, we’re going to talk about the importance of selenium for the thyroid. I wanted to really emphasize this point for those with thyroid problems.
If you’re supplementing iodine for your thyroid, don’t forget to take selenium. Selenium is just as important as iodine.
Selenium is vital to the enzymes that convert T4 into T3. This means that selenium is key to supporting normal and healthy thyroid function.
In fact, studies on animals show that giving iodine alone to deficient animals was found to cause irreversible thyroid gland fibrosis.
If you’re deficient in selenium and you’re using iodine, this could make things worse.
When selenium is given alone to iodine-deficient animals, it’s known to cause an aggravation of the iodine deficiency.
This suggests that you should always take iodine and selenium together.
Sea kelp is a fantastic natural source of selenium and iodine.
As a side note, selenium is vital to glutathione, which is an incredibly powerful antioxidant.

Niacin has many benefits, but is a niacin flush harmful or dangerous? Here's what you need to know.

0:28 What are prostaglandins?
1:10 What you need to know about niacin
Today we're going to talk about the niacin flush and if it's dangerous or not. The answer is no. I do not believe the niacin flush is harmful or dangerous.
With a niacin flush, you're getting massive relaxation of the muscles inside your blood vessels (vasodilation). This occurs because niacin releases something called prostaglandins.
Prostaglandins are lipids or fat compounds that have a hormone effect. Prostaglandins increase vasodilation, help reduce blood pressure, and help blood clotting. Prostaglandins are also involved in headaches and fevers.
Niacin has been used therapeutically for over 50 years, and it is the most effective natural agent for increasing your HDL (the good cholesterol). It can also decrease LDL (the damaging LDL) and triglycerides. The keto diet and intermittent fasting may also help with a person's cholesterol.
A person concerned about their cholesterol may need to take niacin in higher amounts (1000-2000mg per day). Keep in mind the type of niacin that is non-flushing doesn't have cholesterol-lowering benefits. Niacin may also potentially help reduce schizophrenia.

In this video, we’re going to talk about using cod liver oil for ADHD. If you or your child has ADHD, you may want to give cod liver oil a try. Here’s why.
ADHD is attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. This is the combination of a lack of attention, lack of focus, and increased restlessness.
Cod liver oil not only has DHA and EPA (omega 3 fatty acids), but it also has vitamin D and vitamin A. Fish oil only has DHA and EPA.
You can get cod liver oil in a supplement, or you can get it in a can. Make sure you get wild-caught cod liver oil instead of farm-raised.
The question is, how does cod liver oil help ADHD symptoms, like concentration, focus, and learning?
Well, your brain is made up of about 60% fat. The cerebral cortex is 20% DHA fat. The neurons and brain cells are high in omega 3 fatty acids.
Additionally, DHA and EPA have incredible anti-inflammatory effects.
In fact, those who have ADHD tend to have significantly lower omega 3 fatty acids.
Keep in mind that it can take up to three months to see meaningful results when taking cod liver oil. You also need to be on a healthy keto diet to see the full results.
You also want to use vitamin B1 for the hyperactivity part of ADHD. You can get this from nutritional yeast.

Relation between Extreme Hunger & Intermittent Fasting – Dr.Berg on Food Cravings
Talk to a Dr. Berg Keto Consultant today and get the help you need on your journey. Call 1-540-299-1556 with your questions about Keto, Intermittent Fasting or the use of Dr. Berg products. . . Get Dr. Berg's Electrolyte Powder: https://shop.drberg.com/health-concern/blood-sugar-support/electrolyte-orange
Take Dr. Berg's Advanced Evaluation Quiz: http://bit.ly/EvalQuiz
Your report will then be sent via email analyzing 104 potential symptoms, giving you a much deeper insight into the cause-effect relationship of your body issues. It's free and very enlightening.
Dr. Berg talks about intermittent fasting and hunger. Hunger is a great indicator of whether you are doing intermittent correctly. If the hunger is too high and severe WITH additional blood sugar issues (dizzy, lightheadedness, irritable, sugar cravings and brain fog), then you need to cut back and add a meal or add more fat with a meal.
The other thing to do is add electrolytes to your fasting period and some bone broth as this will make it easier to go from 1 meal to the next.
If you just have some hunger and it's not too severe - ride the wave and keep going.

In this video, we’re going to talk about what causes a goiter.
A goiter is an enlarged thyroid gland. You have a gland in your brain called a pituitary that creates a hormone called thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH). This connects to the thyroid gland.
There are two purposes of TSH. First, it tells the thyroid to produce T4 and T3. Second, it causes the thyroid gland to increase in size.
If there’s too much TSH, this could be why your thyroid is enlarged.
90% of the time, a goiter is a result of an iodine deficiency. Also, keep in mind that goiters can be associated with both hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism.
Many things can cause an iodine deficiency:
1. Exposure to bromide
2. Fluoride
3. Not enough iodine in the diet
4. Pregnancy
5. Smoking
6. Alcohol
7. Low selenium
When someone who has a goiter is tested, they may find that they have higher T3 levels. This is because the body is trying to compensate. They may also have lower T4 levels.

In this video, we’re going to talk about chlorophyll and the effect it has on your gut. Chlorophyll is in vegetables. The average American consumes about one and a half cups of vegetables per day. I believe people may need to consume between 7 and 10 cups of vegetables per day.
Chlorophyll is like the blood of the plant. It’s the green plant pigment. There are some interesting potential healing properties in chlorophyll. The chemistry of chlorophyll is actually very similar to our blood, but chlorophyll has magnesium, and our blood has iron.
When you have gut issues, consuming certain greens can irritate the colon. There are different chemicals in vegetables, like lectin, that can irritate the gut lining. The fiber in vegetables can also be an issue for certain gut problems.
But, juicing greens that are low in lectins and oxalates or a green juice powder (wheatgrass juice powder) without the fiber could give you the chlorophyll you need without the potential problems. Chlorophyll can be a great therapy for the gut as long as the lectins are on the low side and there’s no fiber.
Benefits of chlorophyll for gut issues:
1. It may help improve or restore dysfunction in the tight junctions
2. It can support enterocytes (intestinal cells)
3. It may help slow down the formation of fibrous tissue (fibrosis) and cirrhosis in the liver
4. It can act as a powerful anti-inflammatory
Chlorophyll may also help support the:
• Microbiome
• Mucus layer
• Intestinal permeability

Today we’re going to talk about how to increase your blood oxygen levels. When you breathe in, oxygen goes down to the lungs and is absorbed into the capillaries, exchanging oxygen for carbon dioxide.
As you breathe out, you’re getting rid of CO2, and when you breathe in, you’re getting oxygen. There are certain oxygen binding proteins in the red blood cells that are then carried around to the tissues and released.
When your oxygen is low in the blood, that’s called hypoxemia. There is a really simple test called a pulse oximeter that can measure the oxygen in your blood. It can also measure your pulse rate. A normal reading would be between 95 and 100. If you get below 92, there could be a problem.
A few causes of low oxygen in the blood:
• Post COVID-19
• Carbon monoxide
• High altitudes
• COPD
• Emphysema
• Asthma
• Bronchitis
• Pneumonia
• Sleep apnea
3 big symptoms of low oxygen in the blood:
1. Shortness of breath
2. Rapid breathing
3. Fast pulse rate
A few natural remedies to help increase your blood oxygen levels:
• Zinc
• Vitamin E (tocotrienols)
• Lipoic acid
• Vitamin D3
• Vitamin B12
You may want to take these one at a time to help identify what you’re deficient in.

2:23 Share your success story!
Let’s talk about aged garlic for high blood pressure. In a study involving 210 people over 24 weeks, aged garlic was shown to be just as effective as Atenolol for hypertension.
Aged garlic has fewer side effects and may be just as effective as Atenolol for hypertension. Always check with your doctor before coming off of any medications or trying any natural remedies.
Potential side effects of Atenolol:
• Blurred vision
• Cold hands
• Confusion
• Difficulty breathing
• Dizziness
• Excessive sweating
• Tightness in chest
• Fatigue
• Wheezing
Aged garlic seems to be effective because of an active ingredient called allicin. Allicin has many interesting effects, including anti-cancer effects and anti-hypertensive effects.
Potential benefits of allicin in aged garlic for hypertension:
• It can decrease angiotensin 2 (helps relax blood vessels and reduce hypertension)
• It can increase nitric oxide (helps reduce hypertension)
• It can decrease inflammation (helps lower blood pressure)
• It can thin the blood (reducing the risk of clotting)
When it comes to aged garlic vs. fresh garlic, aged garlic may work better than fresh garlic for high blood pressure. But, if you want to try fresh garlic, be sure to crush it and wait at least 15 minutes before consuming it to release more of the allicin compound. However, aged garlic has higher amounts of allicin, phytonutrients, and antioxidants than fresh garlic.
Aged garlic was found to inhibit advanced glycation end products by 56.4%. Fresh garlic was found to inhibit advanced glycation end products by 33.5%. Advanced glycation end products are involved in a lot of chronic health problems.

In this video, we’re going to talk about cod liver oil and the prevention of COVID-19. Can cod liver oil prevent COVID-19?
There’s a huge clinical trial being done right now in Norway on 70,000 people on the effectiveness of this method.
An earlier study showed some very interesting results that indicated that cod liver oil may have decreased the number of cases of COVID-19 and decrease the severity of complications due to the virus. Keep in mind that I’m not saying that cod liver oil will cure, treat, or prevent COVID. This data is inconclusive.
Interestingly, the coronavirus death rate in Norway is 2-3x lower than the average. Out of 50,000 cases, they have only had 436 deaths. Norway has about the same population as Colorado or Minnesota. However, Norway has 7x fewer cases and 10x fewer deaths compared to Colorado. They also have 10x fewer cases and 12x fewer deaths compared to Minnesota.
Obviously, Norway is doing something very right.
I believe this may be due to the amount of cod liver oil and fatty fish that they consume. Finland has similar covid statistics.
What is in cod liver oil that makes it so effective? Well, cod liver oil contains:
• Omega-3 fatty acids
• Vitamin E
• Vitamin A
• Vitamin D
All of these vitamins help promote a healthy immune system.
Though the research is inconclusive, it may not be a bad idea to include fatty fish or cod liver oil into your diet.

Timestamps

0:10 A deeper look at fiber
0:55 What causes gallstones?
1:03 What does bile do?
1:40 The type of fiber to consume
Today we’re going to talk about the relationship between fiber and gallstones. The more fiber you consume, the more bile you’re going to release. Over 95% of the bile in your body gets reabsorbed in the last part of the small intestine.
As you lose more bile, there are certain sensors in your large intestine that signal back up to the liver, telling the liver there isn’t enough bile. This negative feedback loop causes the liver to make more bile. The more bile your body makes, the less concentrated the cholesterol stones become, and the greater the decreased risk of gallstones. The cause of gallstones is a lack of bile, so more production of bile may help decrease the risk of gallstones.
Bile does many different things, such as:
• It helps you absorb fat-soluble vitamins and omega-3 fats
• It helps break down fats
• It helps kill bacteria in the small intestine
One important thing to note is that you always want to consume more vegetable fiber instead of grain fiber.

Today I’m going to share a unique tip on the fastest way to get rid of knee pain. You can actually try this for any type of arthritis or stiffness, even in areas like your lower back, shoulders, or neck.
I believe the secret is really to eliminate omega-6 fatty acids from the diet and replace them with omega-3 fatty acids. You would really want to avoid any type of vegetable oils in your diet.
Omega-6 fatty acids are probably the most common reason people have inflammation. These fats are in so many foods like mayonnaise and even certain salad dressings.
Examples of vegetable oils you would want to avoid:
• Soy
• Corn
• Cottonseed
• Canola
• Safflower
• Sunflower
Better alternatives to cook with:
• Butter
• Olive oil
• Coconut oil
A few more foods high in omega-6 fatty acids:
• Nuts
• Seeds
• Peanut butter and nut butters
• Chicken (in high amounts)
• Tofu
Foods high in omega-3 fatty acids:
• Fatty fish (wild-caught)
• Shellfish
• Cod liver oil

Soda has the potential to actually melt your bones. Let’s talk about why.
There are different ingredients in soda, such as high-fructose corn syrup and phosphoric acid, that can negatively affect your health.
A few ingredients in soda and their impacts on your bone health:
1. High-fructose corn syrup:
• Depletes vitamin D
• Depletes calcium
• Causes calcium dumping from the kidneys
• Depletes magnesium (Magnesium deficiency increases the risk of osteoporosis. Magnesium is needed to build bone and absorb vitamin D. Magnesium deficiency will also cause the parathyroid to rob calcium from the bones.)
2. Phosphoric acid:
• Increases the risk of osteoporosis and osteopenia
• Weakens the teeth
• Decreases the absorption of iron and zinc
3. Caffeine:
• Leeches calcium from the bones

In this video, we’re going to talk about 7 natural remedies for gout.
Gout is a sudden sharp pain in your big toe—or other joints—caused by crystals formed out of excess uric acid. Your white blood cells target these crystals as if they were pathogens. Your own immune system creates inflammation to try to eliminate the crystal, which causes pain.
Uric acid is formed from purines, which are found in organ meats, game, fish, seafood, sugar, and yeast. If you are sensitive to these foods, you may want to start reducing them and see if your gout goes away.
Making your body slightly more alkaline may help reduce the formation of uric acid crystals.
The 7 best natural home remedies for gout are:
1. Vitamin C
2. Ginger
3. Apple cider vinegar
4. Lemon juice
5. Turmeric
6. Stinging nettle root
7. Potassium citrate
These remedies help promote a healthy pH level and reduce gout symptoms.
Give these remedies a try, and let me know how they work for you in the comments below.

In this video, we’re going to talk about some interesting studies on dogs’ ability to smell COVID-19 infections.
With just a few sniffs, dogs were able to identify infected people (with or without symptoms) with close to perfect accuracy.
Another German study found that dogs were able to detect COVID-19 infections with 94% accuracy.
The University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine found that dogs could detect covid infections with 95% accuracy.
Studies in the United Arab Emirates discovered that dogs could detect covid cases days before conventional tests were able to pick up on the virus.
Why can dogs pick up on COVID-19 infections so easily?
Well, dogs’ noses have 300 minion scent receptors. This is 60x more than the average human, which has only 5 million scent receptors. Some dogs can even detect certain types of cancer.
Pathogens can emit specific odors that we can’t detect with our noses, but dogs seem to detect them with ease.
