Divers Free Trapped Bubble Fish From Illegal Trap
Divers that were enjoying a recreational dive near La Romana in the Dominican Republic in May 2024, came across what appeared to be an abandoned lobster trap. Being that lobster fishing in the Caribbean and Central America is experiencing a full ban between March 1 and June 30, the divers believed the reason this trap had not been recovered. This non recovery of the trap did have a negative impact locally, as it had trapped three bubble fish, they are similar to a puffer fish type of species. When the divers approached the trap, the guide had noticed that one of the divers, a man from Canada, was. Carrying a cutting divice on his buoyancy compensator. This device is used for safety in the event of a diver becoming entangled, or in this case, to help free some trapped bubble fish which surely would have died soon. Using the cutting device to cut and tear the woven reed type trap, the guide and a fellow diver soon had a large opening created in the top of the trap. This hole should have been sufficient for the trapped fish to find their way out in time. As you can see in the video, there was no other way for the trapped bubble fish to escape sure death. All creatures on the reef are important to Mother Nature. The balance is very fragile within the life on the reef. Below is a full explanation as to why the lobster fishing ban Is in effect. The article was borrowed from Casa De Campo Living, a local online news page of La Romana , Dominican Republic.
“The annual ban on lobster fishing and sales, effective from March 1 to June 30, has been reinstated across the Dominican Republic and neighbouring countries in the Caribbean and Central America. This longstanding prohibition, in force for fifteen years, extends beyond the mere harvesting of lobsters, encompassing their processing, distribution, bulk possession, and commercialization. Consequently, restaurants and tour operators are prohibited from amassing lobster supplies during this period.
The rationale behind this ban is rooted in the precarious status of Caribbean Spiny Lobsters, which face imminent threats from overfishing and illicit harvesting. With their mating season coinciding with the embargoed months, these crustaceans require an undisturbed period for repopulation, thus underscoring the imperative of the ban in safeguarding their survival. CODOPESCA, the Dominican Council of Fishing and Aquaculture, mandates strict adherence to the ban among supermarkets, restaurants, and fisheries, prohibiting lobster procurement, trade, or serving during the embargoed timeframe. Establishments are further compelled to furnish comprehensive reports on their lobster inventories within the initial ten business days of the prohibition, after which a 20-day grace period is allotted for the consumption, sale, or disposal of existing stocks, subject to verification by CODOPESCA. The ban on lobster fishing is in place to protect the lobster populations from depletion and to ensure that the lobsters available for export meet high-quality standards. Violations of the embargo carry significant penalties, including fines amounting to US$50,000 and imprisonment for up to 10 years.”

Sleepy pup snores hilariously loud
Phil, the subject in this video that is enjoying total relaxation and comfort on “his” couch is a Yellow Labrador Retriever. More commonly known simply as a Labrador, is a British breed of retriever hunting dog. It was developed in the United Kingdom from fishing dogs imported from Newfoundland, and was named after the Labrador region of Newfoundland. When Phil is not sleeping in his favourite spot on the couch, he loves to play catch and tog of war with many types of toys. One preferred toy for Phil is his deer antler. Phil will spend what seems like hours chewing on his antler, it must taste good. When outdoors Phil can entertain himself charging around the backyard, but unhappily for his owner, he sure tears up the grass. During walks through a nearby field and park, Phil’s nose is either planted into the grass or high in the air sniffing scents from all around him .Living near Crescent Beach in south western British Columbia, Phil surely can pick up scents from the Pacific Ocean. This area has an abundance of birds which Phil likely can smell as well, from eagles to chickadees. Phil is one lucky dog to live in such a beautiful area and to have an amazingly loving family.

Tourist Hand Feeds Wild Deer
While visiting a small town in British Columbia, this tourist had the opportunity to get very close to a small black tailed deer. The deer approached the tourist on its own, the tourist did not chase down the animal. Black tailed deer that inhabit the woodlands of the Pacific Northwest are actually a subspecies of mule deer. The black-tailed deer lives along the Pacific coast from northern and western California and north to southeastern Alaska. East of the Cascade and Sierra Nevada Ranges in Oregon and California, black-tailed deer are replaced by mule deer which have a different tail pattern. While enjoying the swimming pool at the motel, with his family, the tourist noticed the deer walking down the driveway of the motel, and towards the main office. Seeming very calm, but not too tame, the deer continued as though looking for someone. An office attendant came out from within a small room on the outside of the motel, with some type of grain mixture. The tourist was asked if they would like to feed the deer, at which he obliged. Knowing it is not common practice to feed wildlife, nerves were slightly on alert. After a few minutes of seeing how the deer was reacting, coming in close, but not too close, the deer would take some of the grain moisture from the tourists hand. The deer was very gentle, and almost vacuumed up all the feed in the hand. The main diet of these deer is quite simple, so this mixture was quite fine for the animal. During the winter and early spring, they feed on Douglas fir, western red cedar, red huckleberry, salal, deer fern, and lichens growing on trees. Late spring to fall, they consume grasses, blackberries, apples, salmonberry, salal, and maple. A family member of the videographer has a home in this small town, and deer have been seen standing on their hind legs , reaching high into an apple tree to get some apples for a snack. Although very beautiful animals, they can be a nuisance for those growing vegetable gardens in such towns. The deer can jump quite high, gaining access to bountiful gardens even when fenced. This day was one of excitement and an opportunity for some great photos. Remember, feeding wildlife can be dangerous. Always be cautious.

Wild Hummingbirds Return After Losing Their Nesting Tree
Hummingbirds are one of the smallest and most beautiful species of birds. Their light and fragile bodies, always amaze us humans with the strength and stamina they possess. During winter months, when food availability can be scarce, hummingbirds are able to slow their metabolism to an incredibly low rate to conserve energy stored in their bodies. Hummingbirds require an incredible amount of energy to flap their wings 50 times or more per second in order to maintain hovering flight. In fact, if a hummingbird were the size of a human, it would consume energy at a rate more than 10 times that of an Olympic marathon runner. They are able to accomplish this by burning only the most recently ingested sugar in their muscles while avoiding the energetic tax of first converting sugar into fat. As we see, they are amazing little creatures. The home at which these beautiful birds were recorded, had a treeing which these little birds had built their nest. During a winter storm in Vancouver B.C , the tree took a beating and had several large branches break. With the dangerous state that the neighbours tree was in, which also was the nesting tree of these little Anna’s Hummingbirds, the tree was in desperate need of being removed. Bren the videographer was concerned that the hummingbirds had been killed by the collapsing branches. The hummingbirds had not been seen around in the spring of 2023 although Brent continued to fill and clean his feeder. After 6 months, since the tree had been removed, the videographer is finally seeing the return of two hummingbirds that once use to frequent his feeder daily. With continued filling, cleaning and refilling the feeder since March, the gorgeous little birds are finally back and thriving. The two Anna’s Hummingbirds were very cautious when Brent secured his video camera near the feeder, but after approximately one hour they were comfortable enough to swoop in and enjoy a sugary meal. “Classy, urbane, and stylish with the heart of a tiger” best describes these little hummingbirds known as Anna’s Hummingbird. With their iridescent emerald feathers and sparkling rose-pink throats, Anna’s Hummingbird are extremely beautiful but they also have a fierce attitude and defend their territory with tenacity. Brent the videographer mentioned “It is great and exciting to once again be able to sit on my back patio and be able to watch , and hear, as the hummingbirds come in for a meal.”

Yellow Labrador Dog Gets The Zoomies
Phil the yellow labrador retriever is an 18 month old " puppy". He lives in the beautiful area of Crescent Beach, near Vancouver, British Columbia ,Canada. Crescent Beach is a fairly small community. Crescent Beach is a beachside community within the South Surrey town centre of Surrey, British Columbia, Canada next to Boundary Bay and Mud Bay, across from Delta, British Columbia. It is home to 1,200 residents, mostly in single-family homes. The area has a number of beaches for enjoying the cool waters of the Pacific Ocean for many activities. Phil loves the water, but during the summer months, many of the local beach areas are closed to dogs. Local dog parks are a great option as well. On this day in August, Phil was in his back yard getting some fresh air when a family friend turned on the garden sprinkler. As you will see, Phil absolutely loves to run as well as play in the sprinkler. Racing around the yard, into the flower beds and all over was showing enjoyment on Phil's face. His mom wasn't impressed with his tracks into the garden, but all was ok once the mulch was smoothed out. Phil is a very happy go lucky pooch and loves his time in the yard, even though it is fairly small. Enjoy the video and feel free to check out my page.

Polar Bear enthusiasts Spotted at the beach
White Rock City is very near the USA/Canada border of British Columbia and Washington State. The Pacific Ocean is the body of water that these New Years day celebrators have immersed their warm( at one time) bodies into. A polar bear plunge is an event held during the winter where participants enter a body of water despite the low temperature. In the United States, polar bear plunges are usually held to raise money for a charitable organization. In Canada, polar bear swims are usually held on New Year's Day to celebrate the new year. As you can see it is quite an event. Once organized by the city of White Rock in this location, as well in Vancouver by Vancouver City, which drew huge numbers of participants, the events now are much smaller during this Covid 19 pandemic. Brent the videographer himself said he has never braved the frigid waters himself, which were just above freezing on the surface ,as local temperatures this day were around 2 degrees Celsius or 36 degrees Fahrenheit. Surely not tropical weather for a swim in the ocean. Water temperatures that day were approximately 6.4°C / 43.5°F, slightly warmer than the air temperature. Brrrrr. As always, the event brings out many enthusiastic locals, even some wildlife can be seen.

Amazing art sculptures created with ocean trash
Ocean trash has become a very troubling concern and issue throughout North America, and the world actually. Many companies are sponsoring shoreline cleanups, and Corona is sponsoring this exact challenge in Canada. The website is protectparadise.ca showing all the statistics based around the many cleanups going on daily. To date, 50 cleanups have been accomplished from 1047 registered volunteers which have removed 2567 kilograms (5659 pounds) of trash from the shorelines meaning there has been 1,649014 square meters of shoreline cleaned of trash.
Yet more than 8 million metric tonnes of plastic continue to compromise the beauty and ecology of our lakes, rivers, and oceans every year. With recent events leading to the number of single-use plastics found on Canadian beaches doubling since 2019, plastics could outweigh fish in the ocean by 2050. Corona is committed to reducing marine plastic pollution in Canada. This year we’re partnering with The Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup and like-minded citizens like you to help us clean plastic waste from waterways across the country. So we can continue to protect and enjoy paradise for years to come. A local artist in Vancouver ,British Columbia Canada designed these figures to display the amount of trash and the type of trash that was found along the cities local beaches and waterways. Take a very close look at the figures, it is surprising just what gets disposed of into our waters, and what makes it way back on shore.
Storms create larger waves and currents, which end up causing more trash to come ashore, which in turn is better than it floating around in the ocean . Another example of ocean trash that has gathered over decades is called The Great Pacific Garbage Patch, which is a collection of marine debris in the North Pacific Ocean. The Great Pacific Garbage Patch, also known as the Pacific trashvortex, spans waters from theWest Coastof North America all the way to Japan. The patch is actuallycomprised of the Western Garbage Patch, located near Japan, and the Eastern Garbage Patch, which is located between the U.S. states of Hawaii and mainland state of California. These areas of spinning debris are linked together by the North Pacific Subtropical Convergence Zone, located a few hundred kilometers north of Hawaii.
Thisconvergence zoneis where warm water from the South Pacific meets up with cooler water from theArctic. The zone acts like ahighwaythat moves debris from one patch to another. The area that all this trash is cycling within is approximately 20 million square kilometers (7.7 million square miles). This area is roughly 15 percent larger than Russia to give an idea of its vastness within the ocean. The efforts to reduce the trash within our world is an urgent one to control. Let’s all do our part to reduce, reuse, recycle.

Baby Bursts Into Tears During His 'Happy Birthday' Song
Harvey turned two years old on May 10, 2021. While family gathered in a tiny group because of covid-19 restriction in Langley British Columbia, fun was still had. When Harvey's dad came around the corner with the cupcake birthday cake lit with a big number 2 ablaze, Harvey was not very impressed. Did he think he was too old now? Did Harvey think his family sounded horrible singing him Happy Birthday? Most likely, he was feeling a little bit overwhelmed after opening many gifts from his Grandpa, Nana, aunty, and his parents.
Once the initial shock subsided and Harvey realized the cupcakes were for him, he calmed a little. Who wouldn't calm when being brought several delicious chocolate and vanilla cupcakes. What an exciting day for everyone and Harvey enjoyed his new tree swing from Grandpa, Hotwheels cars, clothing and fishing equipment from his aunty, and more clothes from his Nana. Family is everything to this family, so being together in these tough times was very special. Happy Second Birthday, Harvey!

Dancing Easter bunny pumps gasoline at Costco
Easter weekend is a big celebration for many in the Vancouver B.C area of Canada. For children, the fun of gathering brightly coloured Easter eggs is always exciting. Searching in flower beds or even within ones home always brings smiles. Religiously, easter celebrates the resurrection of Christ. Easter customs vary across the Christian world, and include sunrise services, exclaiming the Paschal greeting, clipping the church, and decorating Easter eggs (a symbol of the empty tomb). For many that are non religious, the day is simply a celebration of painting, hiding and then gathering hard boiled chicken eggs as well as wrapped chocolate and candy eggs. Here in this video we see a very happy customer at Costco filling his car with gas. Dancing and waving he brought many smiles to fellow customers at the gas filling station.

Dad does backflip off swings while son watches on
Harvey the young little guy is just over one and half years old and his dad Ryan were having some fun at the park recently after a snowfall. Living on the West Coast of British Columbia near Vancouver, the winters are not that harsh so snow is minimal. As soon as the snow hits in this area, everyone gets out to enjoy some fun. Ryan had asked his dad to bring over a toboggan he had, and to join in some fun at the park hill. After some fun sledding, they walked to the nearby play park, and began swinging fo a few minutes. Grampa pushed little Harvey as Harveys dad swung along at the same time. after a few minutes playing around, making the swing go sideways and side to side, Ryan did a dismount that surprised his wife and his dad.
His reply to his wife when she said" wow when did you start doing that?" Ryan replied" I have been doing that since I was a little kid". His dad was surprised both at his dismount and him claiming to have been doing that a long time, he did not remember that. Even the nearby snowmen were delighted with Ryans antics on the swings, look at their smiles!!! Fun was had by all that snowy day in Surrey and followed with a sleigh ride home to some hot lunch and hot chocolate.

Stubborn dog refuses to go on her morning walk
Poncho is a fourteen year old rescue pooch from Riviera Maya Mexico. Her owner Brent believes she is a Basenji cross. He feels she is a basenji cross from her characteristics and looks, but knows she is not pure bred as she barks, and basenjis do not actually bark, they more like howl and talk like coyotes. Having a great life in Western Canada seems to have spoiled and softened her, or maybe its her Mexican blood that causes her to not really enjoy the cold. Although it was just below freezing in Surrey British Columbia, the wind chill made it feel more like minus 5 Fahrenheit with high humidity. Generally Poncho loves her morning and evening walks around the block. These walks have progressively become shorter as the season advances, but she still likes to get out. Once her owner has readied himself for work in the mornings, Poncho will not leave him to relax until she gets her walk. Poncho is very habitual and routined, so Brent her owner knows exactly what his morning will be like. Generally its, come downstairs, get stared at by Poncho, put on her harness and leash, exit the house. When it is colder out, that first preparation is always the same, but it's the walk that changes. On the morning this was recorded, she went approximately 100 yards, and started to turn back towards home. Brent knew the reasoning, Poncho does not like the cold. Trying to get her to walk for at least 5 minutes, as you will see, began to be a game of Round the Rosy. Poncho would turn towards home, Brent would initiate a continuation of the walk, this happened over and over, as they both went in circles repeatedly. As usual, Poncho tends to win out since Brent knows she will not stop trying to end the walk, so he gives in. On warmer nights, Poncho is also very predictive, as she loves her walks, but has begun to want to run once they approach the last corner on their street, which is within 100 feet of home. Being an old dog, when she shows a little spunk and excitement, Brent likes to go with the flow and let her run, this keeps her young at heart. Enjoy Poncho and her funny antics, she is a very lovable pooch.

Baby Tries Eating Lemon, Has The Most Priceless Reaction
Baby Harvey is one adorable little guy that resides in Langley British Columbia Canada. His parent are always getting him to try new foods, drinks and activities to open up his world to many experiences. This day while mom was at work, dad was making some lemonade from scratch, and wanted to see how Harvey would enjoy one fresh lemon slice.
After a couple tastes, and dad Ryan also trying out the lemon, Harvey continues to see if he likes it. As you will see here and in the carbonated water video, Harvey is not a quitter and always keeps an open mind. Determined to follow dads lead, Harvey keeps trying until dad ends the recording. As we all know, lemon is very healthy for us, it helps clean out bodies. Enjoy little Harvey and his ongoing escapades. He is one adorable grandson.

Dog Enjoys Caramel corn snack
Poncho is a rescue dog from Cancun Mexico that is now 14 years old. having been rescued as a puppy, she is truly Canadian now through and through, including enjoying one of her owners favourite snacks, Poppycock. Poppycock is a caramel corn snack that also has pecans and almond clusters amongst the caramel corn. Poncho is always very near when Brent enjoys a movie time snack, she forgets she is a dog. Poncho has some very funny traits and character mannerisms, but surely is a lovable pooch. ASs you can see, she likes to make sure she gets every last crumb from within the bottom of the Poppycock container, she wouldn't want to waste any of the delicious snack. Her persistence causes some chuckles from Brent, even though he knew she would not stop scouring the bottom of the can for quite awhile. In the end, the container was completely cleaned of any yummy crumbs, and the can was ready for the recycling container. What a cute and determined dog Poncho is. She is full of love and fun.

Scuba Diver Sings Happy Birthday Song Underwater
Six years ago in 2014, Brent and his wife Elsa were planing a trip to Riviera Maya Mexico to celebrate Brent's 5oth birthday. Slowly Brent has been removing items from his bucket list, and that year it was to take up scuba diving. In his class was a man that became a very good friend. Mathew was a very fit fellow, had many accomplishments in life in the medical field, and was an overall great guy. Brent himself is not a strong swimmer so when it came to accomplishing the required long swim for the scuba course, Brent was struggling. Mathew, seeing Brent having a tough time with the swim, jumped in the pool and swam the remaining four laps along side Brent, instilling confidence that Brent could do it, and he did although being the last to finish. Finishing anything he takes on has been how Brent deals with life, "I am not a quitter!!" he always says. over the last six years, Brent and Mathew have become great friends and dive buddies. One year Brents wife decided she wanted to learn scuba as well, and she too accomplished a life dream. In 2017 Elsa was diagnosed with cancer, life became very tough for her and her family, but she was also not a quitter. Through many rounds of treatment, Elsa always pulled through with a smile and a positive attitude. May 2020 was Elsas 51st birthday, but she was not very healthy sadly. Elsas family decided it was time to have many friends put together their birthday wishes into a video. Gathering clips and snippets from many happened very effortlessly. Everyone was excited to help in the creation to bring smiles and love into Elsas life. Mathew came up with this amazing tribute, he has always "thought out the box". Here is Matt's input on a great video we hope you enjoy. Sadly Elsa lost her battle in July of 2020, but her smiles, happiness and strength live on in memories with her family. Her husband still tries to keep active in the dive community and dives with Elsa PINK, yes very pink air tanks on his back. He says" I will keep her diving as long as I can" through using some of the gear Elsa wore every time she dropped below the waves. Keep those you love very close to your heart, forever.

Baby runs away with camera during Thanksgiving video message
Thanksgiving 2020, like the rest of the year 2020 has been quite different for many. Canadian Thanksgiving is celebrated in October, a full month ahead of the American Thanksgiving. In this adorable video, Harvey and his dad Ryan were making a short video greeting to Harvey's mom. Harvey's mom works in health care, so as we all know, health care workers have been working longer hours and more days with less time off during this Covid 19 year. In health care, there are no weekends off for many, Saturday and Sunday are just other work days. Taking this all into account, Ryan wanted to send a warm morning greeting to his wife, including smiles and chuckles from their baby Harvey.
Harvey, being 17 months old has become very mobile. As you will see in the video, he is no longer a crawler, but a runner. Harvey runs pretty much everywhere, which in turn has brought along with the speed, a chipped front tooth. Our bodies are generally top heavy, so with unstable times, a crash can be the result, which it was one day in September. This Thanksgiving morning, Ryan had everything set. Phone onto video mode, himself and Harvey sitting comfortably in the hall way, all was perfect……until “record” was pushed. Harvey also has a great personality building, he is full of laughs and mischief, much like his dad was at this age.
With the video rolling, Harvey jumped up and reaches for the camera. Ryan figured Harvey just wanted a close up view for mom, but oh no, Harvey had other plans. Running away Harvey goes with the phone camera. Laughing and giggling all the while, Harvey races away from dad Ryan to anywhere except where the footage was to be taken in ”the perfect setting”. Laughing about his sons actions, Ryan follows in hot pursuit and scoops baby Harvey up. Finding a comfortable spot on the sofa to continue with moms video, Ryan and Harvey completed the recording and sent it to a very happy mom. Meg was extremely thankful for the efforts and love both Ryan and Harvey put into her Thanksgiving video. Forever remembered and to be shown when Harvey is old enough to laugh at himself as a very curious, rambunctious baby boy. Enjoy this adorable video!

Baby tries carbonated water for the first time with hilarious results
Harvey was around seventeen months old when he first tried carbonated water. Now carbonated water is nothing more than regular water, that has carbon dioxide infused into it. The process is this, Carbonated water is water containing dissolved carbon dioxide gas, either artificially injected under pressure or occurring due to natural geological processes. Carbonation causes small bubbles to form, giving the water an effervescent quality( the bubbles that get us in the nose).
Harvey's parents had the carbonating machine for quite awhile, but had not been using it very much. One day when Harvey's grandpa was over, Harvey's dad Ryan offered grandpa some of the flavoured carbonated water, which he always enjoys. Since that day the machine was getting more usage. Ryan wanted to see if Harvey also would like and enjoy the different type of water, and the experience went pretty much as Ryan figured it would. With hilarious results, and a facial expression making note of just what was going on in Harvey's little mouth and sinus'. Needless to say, the carbonated water is not part of Harvey's regular diet for hydration, at least not for now. He truly is a little cutie with a great personality.

Babys adorable laughter while playing peek a boo will melt your heart
Harvey is eighteen months old and full of life. Harvey lives in Surrey BC Canada, which is a city only a few miles north of the Canada USA border along the west coast of the Pacific Ocean. Harvey is a very active young fella whom loves to play. His parents are amazing. Harveys parents spend almost every spare minute of their time teaching him motor skills, colors, numbers, and reading stories to him. Harvey also loves to play hide and seek, and peek a boo. One morning when Harveys mom was getting ready for her day of multi tasking work and watching her beautiful baby, Harvey decided it was time to hide from mom. Turning Harveys hilarious antics into a game, Harvey quickly caught on to what worked the best to catch moms attention. As you will see, Harvey has not quite discovered that staying silent makes it harder for anyone to find him while playing hide and seek. He surely will figure that part out in the near future. Aside from playing hide and seek and peek a good. Harvey loves playing indoors with his cars, puzzles with giant pieces, and watching videos on his personal 55 inch television. Harvey has the playroom envied by many of the neighbour children, it is all built around education for this little fella. When Harvey is outside he loves riding his push bicycle, and having his dad drive him around in his remote controlled Jeep "peddle" car. The Jeep radio controlled car is pretty cool, it comes with a radio and a fully functioning horn. Take in all the love and laughter as you watch Harvey having the time of his life while playing with mom. Enjoy the laughter from Harvey that will surely melt your heart in these tough covid 19 sad and tough times. Love to all, says Harvey through his smiles.

Puppy love between baby and his dog is super sweet
There is no love stronger than a boy and his dog. Following you will see this deep connection between 18 month old Harvey and his dog, Bella. Bella is a 5 year old Terrier mix pup from Surrey British Columbia, Canada. Bella has great parents that up until a years and half ago she was the main "child" in the home. Bella was very use to receiving all the attention until her little "brother" Harvey came along. Bella has always been an extremely friendly and lovable pup.
She has always been able to get along with anyone, and any other dogs, making it great for taking her along on vacation and to even just the local dog parks. Now that Harvey is very mobile, he is also building an extremely lovable personality. His love doesn’t only include his parents, with hugs and kisses daily, Harvey also loves his dog. Here you will see just how much love Harvey has for Bella. Yes most kids love animals and pets, but Harvey goes and shows to the extreme.
Climbing into bed with Bella on her favourite dog bed is only one place that she gets cuddles from her brother . Whether on the couch curled in a ball, trying to sleep, Harvey will always snuggle up to Bella to comfort her and show his love. Rolling around on the dog bed, snuggling and hugging Bella, Harvey at times gets a little “heavy “ on this little pooch and she will escape his grappling for a quieter location. Harvey always finds Bella, he loves her to bits. As you can see there is nothing more special than the love of a young child and his dog. What a beautiful relationship these two have, true love.

Security cam captures dramatic hit and run
Imagine this. Early morning on October 6th you are slowly awakening after a good night sleep. 6:30 am and you hear a crash, but still wiping the sleep from your eyes and still not quite awake, you brush it off as someone dropped a plate downstairs. Once up and about, ready for work, you make your way downstairs and catch a glimpse of your daughters car parked mysteriously out of character. Appearing further back on the street, you then notice it is on the grass as well. "Hmmm you think, what was she doing last night when she got home". Shoes on, dog leashed up, you head outside for your morning walk.
This was all the experienced the father of the car owner had one early morning. Once outside, he noticed it wasn't his daughter strange parking job, but her har had been crashed into sometime through the night. Later that morning, The daughter and her husband scoured the neighbourhood looking for clues and evidence to the culprit. talking with neighbours, no one seems to know anything. As fathers do, her dad jumped into action. Emails were sent to neighbours, bringing great results. One neighbours daughter had seen a blue suv with damage, turning around and heading back down the street, a great clue. Another neighbour mentioned he had cameras and would check the memory cards, more great evidence came about. After calls to the local police, an officer arrived and also walked the neighbourhood.
Later in the day as the car owner sat outside waiting for some clues to arise, a young man approached her and mentioned" are you the owner of this car? I am so sorry but my mother hit your car this morning." A hit and run is a criminal offence in Canada which can carry heavy penalties. With some relief that now the person had. come forward and admitted to the collision, the police were then again notified. This was a horrible day for the car owner as this car has many memories with her mother whom had recently passed, making this much more stressful and painful for her.
The best part is that the driver had been found and admitted to the incident, saving the owner the insurance deductible for repairs. The police officer mentioned he did have two citations drafted for the driver of the hit and run vehicle, one for hit and run and leaving the scene, the other for not clearing the windows of the drivers windows which was admitted by the driver. Lessons learned we hope. So remember, always take time before driving that your view and vision out of your vehicle is 100 percent clear. Thankfully no one was injured. This could have been much worse with horrific results had someone been in the parked car or crossing the street.

Baby deer triplets enjoy breakfast with their mama
Princeton, British Columbia is a small town some 2-1/2 hours east of Vancouver, British Columbia along Highway 3, also known as the Hope-Princeton Highway. Princeton is a town in the Similkameen region of southern British Columbia, Canada. It lies just east of the Cascade Mountains, which continue south into Washington, Oregon and California. The Tulameen and Similkameen Rivers converge here. Originally settled by John Fall Allison in 1859, Princeton has become the center of the Similkameen Valley.
Rich in mining, forestry, agriculture and ranching, it provides the foundation for the town's economy. Tourism has gained popularity because of the area's close proximity to the Okanagan and Lower Mainland. Between 1927 and 1996, more than US$6-billion worth of copper had been dug from the mountains south of town, which was extracted by at least five corporations over the years, but those are now long gone. In 2011, Copper mountain Mine was to begin a comeback as new technology would make it feasible. The reopening has caused a boom of activity in the little town. With Princeton being smack dab in the middle of the mountain ranges, there is an abundance of wildlife that wanders with the streets and residential areas.
In the video this is evident as you will see a mama mule deer enjoying a snack of willow tree along with her three fawns. Very young the fawns still have their camouflage spots making them adorable. The fawns will generally lose their spots around the age of 3-4 months, usually around October. The fawns will retain this name until oner year old, at which time they will be known as yearlings. At one year of age the average fawn will weigh around 90 pounds (41 kilograms). As adorable and tame they look along side their mother, it is not recommended to approach them very closely. The mother will protect her young and can become quite aggressive by pawing at anyone coming close.
As their hooves are quite sharp, being pawed by an angry mama deer could cause some serious damage to ones body. Best is to observe from a safe distance and take as many photos and video as you want. Protect the environment and respect its wildlife. Living in rural areas surely does have its benefits. I hope you enjoy this video, feel free to share it with friends.

Baby hummingbird waits for mama to bring dinner
Sharon, the videographer of this amazing video noticed a beautiful little hummingbird beginning to build its nest on one of her wooden wind chimes. As she watched with amazement, the parent hummingbirds tirelessly built a nest within her home made wind chime. She continued to document their progress daily during construction, and then while eggs were laid. Twig by twig the hummingbirds built their nest even while the wind chime swung in the wind. Upon completion of the nest, Sharon noticed one morning there were two tiny eggs within the nest. Keeping a watchful eye over the nest outside her kitchen window, she soon saw one egg hatching. 18 days later than the eggs were laid, one little baby hummingbird was noticed in the nest. Eager for the second to hatch, Sharon checked on the nest frequently each day. After a few days she realized that the second egg was not going to hatch, something went wrong. With one little bird awaiting its daily meal, the baby would lay motionless other than tipping its head back with a wide open mouth. As you can see in the video, the nest and its little inhabitant is as tiny as a quarter placed near the nest. Day by day the baby is growing. Hummingbirds are the smallest of birds, most species measuring 7.5–13cm (3–5in) in length. The smallest existant bird species is the 5cm (2.0in) bee hummingbird, which weighs less than 2.0g (0.07oz). Native to the Americas these adorable little birds can usually be heard before seen. Their rapid wing-flapping rates, which vary from around 12 beats per second in the largest species, to in excess of 80 beats per second in some of the smallest. This high rate of speed of their wing flapping allows them to actually hover in one place just like a helicopter. Along with their high speed wing flutter comes extreme flight speeds from these little guys. Their top speeds exceed 34 miles per hour (54km/h) and some species can dive at speeds in excess of 49 miles per hour (79km/h). Hummingbirds have the highest mass-specific metabolic rate, meaning they consume the most energy per unit of time, of any homeothermic animals ( animals that maintain a steady internal body temperature regardless of the surrounding temperatures). To conserve energy when food is scarce, and nightly when not foraging, they can go into torpor, a state similar to hibernation, slowing their metabolic rate to 1/15th of its normal rate. These little creatures are surely amazing.

Giant iguana pushes drink right into the pool
The resort this group stayed at had some amazing foliage and walkways. There are many wild creatures that also enjoy the resort. These creatures are not as such on a vacation like the humans, but they have taken up refuge within the bush areas of the resort. Although it is suggested not to feed the wild animals, many enjoy getting up close and personal with some of the animals. Here we see these very large iguana sunning at the edge of one of the resort pools. These large iguana are mainly herbivores but they will eat other food that they may come across while walking. This resort is very expansive and has acres of trees and bush in which wild animals inhabit.
The spiny tail green iguana is very popular in these areas. Being vegetarians, in particular, they enjoy flowering shrubs, hibiscus, berries, fruits and vegetables such as tomatoes, strawberries and figs. Right beside the pathway was a very tall palm tree that had dropped many dark berries and the iguana was picking them up as he walked along the garden. While walking within the resort, this visitor noticed these two big lizards near the pool edge. Along with some pool tiles that had been placed near the edge, there were also some plastic drink glasses. Even though this resort is very eco-conscious and uses biodegradable “plastic” cups, they still can be a hazard for animals.
Taking care that the iguana did not pick up and eat the pool tiles, the videographer noticed the iguana had focused on the plastic cup. Thinking that the lizard could not actually eat the cup, Brent was not that concerned, until the iguana began pushing the cup along the pool deck. Once the lizard had successfully pushed the cup into the pool, it was known to be safe that the iguana would at least not bite the cup. Picking up the pool tiles was the next important item on Brent’s agenda as he could see the iguanas would possibly think they were a snack so those were discarded into the trash. Iguana are beautiful creatures that need to be protected and preserved.

Incredible fairy village discovered in park forest
Fairies are said to bring good luck if you happen to see one. The building of a fairy village in your garden is also said to bring good luck with your harvest. It is said that if you do find a fairy, you get three wishes. Fairy villages have been found in parks and forests that seem to be randomly constructed along the forest floor and around tree bases.
Recently the person that recorded this cool footage had been walking in a local park forest in Surrey British Columbia, when he stumbled across a very large Fairy Village. Hundreds of little homes and building were spread over a large area of fallen trees and stumps. Building that are like bird houses and all the way to the great imagination of someone to build a jail, a medical office or hospital, to a beer parlour.
Everyone needs some fun in their lives, even fairies. Wandering the village made for a very fun experience seeing the incredible skill and imagination of those that have created these 'fairy homes". The number of structures is simply amazing and must have taken years to build to the numbers today. Seeing this definitely made for a happy morning for the videographer amongst all the negativity and troubles during the covid 19 pandemic of 2020.

Huge Iguana Stands Motionless For Photoshoot
The resort this group stayed at had some amazing foliage and walkways. There are many wild creatures that also enjoy the resort. Although it is suggested not to feed the wild animals, many enjoy getting up close and personal with some of the animals. Here we see this very large iguana posing for some photos and enjoying a snack from a visitors hand. These large iguana are mainly herbivores and this guy was also enjoying some berries that had fallen from a palm tree along the walkway. Right beside the pathway was a very tall palm tree that had dropped many dark berries and the group notices this large iguana was picking them up as he walked along the garden. The fellow enjoying his time getting very close photos of the iguana also enjoyed giving it a snack of the berries. Gently but cautiously the iguana approached all the while looking very alert for danger. Slowly he began taking the offering right out of the man’s hand. Being very gentle the iguana looked very at ease, somewhat use to human interaction. The few minutes of feeding this iguana was very special allowing all the friends to enjoy seeing him up close and enjoy a little of Mexico's natural wild life within the resort they were staying at.
