Iguana Enjoys a Snack on Isla Mejures
Isla Mujeres is a Mexican island in the Caribbean Sea, 13 kilometers(8 miles) off the coast from Cancún. Isla Mejures is a popular vacation destination known for beautiful beaches such as northern Playa Norte, resort hotels and for snorkeling and scuba diving on the surrounding coral reefs. At Punta Sur, the southern tip, there's a lighthouse, the remains of a Mayan temple and a sanctuary for sea turtles. The north side of the island is also the windward side which brings larger waves than on the southern side of the island. Surfing and body boarding is one fun activity the north side offers with its larger waves. The south side of the island offers up calm waters with amazing beaches. Visiting the island during their honeymoon, the couple had stopped for lunch at a small restaurant on the south side of the island near the turtle refuge. Being the only ones in the restaurant that day, one iguana wanted to see if they had anything appetizing for lunch so he came in very close. Being mainly herbivores, the iguana mostly eat flowers and berries. Specifically, they are folivores (an animal that feeds on leaves). In the wild, they feed almost entirely on the leaves of trees and vines, plus some fruits or flowers. Offering this little guy a snack of tortilla shell, which is mainly flower and water, he surely seemed to enjoy the snack. As you can see from the caution the iguana shows, he is definitely not tame and is surely a wild animal. Adorable to see up close to interact with. One must always be careful as these creatures can bite with quite a force.

Chubby Rescue Kitty Hilariously Waddles When She Walks
Cats big or small are loved all over the world. Now this kitty surely fits the “big” cat figure, meaning she is a little chubby. Wild Birds Unlimited nature centre in Langley, British Columbia welcomes all into its store. Not only are customers welcome, this little (to say the least) yet chubby rescue cat has been welcomed into the store with open arms, by everyone. Kitty was brought into her new life within the Wild Bird store as a rescue that was badly overweight and unable to even walk without assistance.
Slowly she has been getting exercise, and love, within the small confines of the store. Friendly is not the word for this adorable house cat, she will purr like a lion and take in all of your love and belly rubs. With a little scratch on the floor, and few words, Kitty was on her way to visit Brent while he was visiting the store, all in the name os some love and affection. Waddling along, Kitty looks like one of those huge musclebound wrestlers making his way into the ring, but no, it’s just little miss Kitty.
Having been rescued a short time ago, she has already lost one pound, which may not sound like much but for a kitty of this size, it is a dramatic change to her mobility and an accomplishment to bettering her life. As we all know, a little exercise can help us to live much healthier lives. “I can hardly wait to see her transformation over the next few months” Brent mentioned. Adorable!

Dog can't stop sneezing
Poncho is a 13 year old rescue dog from Riviera Maya, Mexico. Having been found along with her sister along a dirt road as puppies, she has made a great transition over the years. Poncho is definitely a needy, attention grabbing pooch that loves to cuddle with her owners. over the years Poncho has learned many tricks, and given her owners many days of happiness and love. Poncho the sneezy dog you see here, has some pretty funny habits. First thing in the morning when her owner comes downstairs to get ready for work, if he doesn't give her some canned food in her dry kibbles, she won't eat all day long until he arrives home. She will stand and stare, and walk back and forth to the fridge as she knows that is where the wet dog food is. Once a little tablespoon of wet food is added to her kibbles, she gobbles the meal down and is happy. Then it is outside to check the back yard for any intruders( birds, squirrels,) as she truly thinks she owns the neighbourhood. As seen in this footage while enjoying a head scratch, she is surely a lovable dog. Dogs are the best !

Giant Ostrich steals guys hat
Sheldon the videographer loves his birds. Living in a suburb of Vancouver British Columbia, Canada has given him the opportunity to have a home on two acres of land. Him, his wife and two daughters slowly began enjoying the farm life by purchasing some chickens. Soon there was the desire for more animals, and then came along goats. Goats led to pheasant, which are a small chicken size wild bird, which led to more pheasant. Staying positive after his pheasants flew away, a new pheasant was only a phone call away. Back home was more pheasant all was happy on the farm. Like most farmers, or animal lovers, one turns into two turns into ten. Visiting Sheldon is quite the pleasant and hilarious venture. Walking down his driveway and around the rear of his home towards a small barn, you will see chickens and goats sitting at the backyard table, just as though they were guests over for a summer barbecue. As I was saying, Sheldon continues to grow his farm animals, and next was something really out of the ordinary, an ostrich !!! Im sure you are thinking” who buys an ostrich? And where do you get one?” Well simply put, an ostrich farm. Knowing a guy that knows a guy is always helpful, with anything. In Sheldons case he knew someone that actually breeds and raises the ostrich from eggs right through to full grown and in turn sells them as a family business. Asking Sheldon what one of these huge birds is worth, he mentioned “ around $2500 each, and luckily enough I was able to get a mating pair so I will be able to gain some of the expense back.” Growing to over seven feet tall and weighing nearly 120 kilograms or 260 pounds, they are big. Able to run 70 kilometres per hour, or 45 miles per hour, you surely will not outrun one if he is mad at you. Eating mainly plant matter such as flowers ,weeds and whatever else they come across, they seem to constantly eat. If you are wondering how big their eggs are and could you eat one for breakfast, they are roughly 6 inches round and weigh in at 3 pounds. I hope you love eggs . They are very similar in taste to chicken eggs, but have a more buttery flavour but are more intense of a flavor. Wandering the farm while waiting for the owner to gather up his new ostrich, Sheldon wanted to see what would happen while standing just outside the birds pen. Watch and see just how friendly these huge birds are. Ostrich are definitely one of the giant birds of the earth.

Guy drives an ostrich home in his car
Sheldon the videographer and small farm owner loves his birds. Couple release baby sea turtles, swim with adults turtles in the wild
If turtles are one of your favourite animals to see in the wild, this video will excite you beyond words. From experiencing tiny little baby golfing turtles making their way to the beach surface from their nest, to swimming inches from a full grown Hawksbill turtle while scuba diving as the videographer did, you will see it here all in 4k. Mexico has some amazing cities and areas. Along the Pacific Coast are two towns that mainly have become known as one, Ixtapa Zihuantanejo. Situated in the state of Guerrero, Ixtapa Zihuantanejo are two separate towns approximately 150 miles north of Acapulco. Having beautiful beaches, Zihuantanejo is sheltered within a very protected bay which is very popular with many private boat owner during the months. Ixtapa Zihuantanejo is the fourth largest city in the state of Guerrero and is very popular with tourists from within Mexico as well as the United States and Canada. Recently, December 2019, Brent and his wife enjoyed two weeks vacation in Zihua, as it is known to the locals. Relaxing for most of their vacation, Brent and Elsa wanted to enjoy something different. While doing some research, they learned of a private turtle release project that was not a far distance from Zihua.
The turtle camp is at Petatillo beach in the municipality of Union in the Guerrero state. The person in charge of the camp is Mr. Felix and his wife Doña Chucha. Mr. Felix and his wife have lived at the location of the turtle camp for over 16 years, and have never had any financial support from the Mexican government. It has only been in the last 2 years, that tours have begun coming to visit Mr. Felix and Doña to see the amazing work they are doing to grow the numbers of the Golfina turtles in this area. Julio López was the tour guide for the day and he showed an incredible amount of passion for what Mr. Felix has been doing for the past 16 years. Julio is also very knowledgable of the whole Guerrero state as well as other surrounding states and cities. His knowledge of the turtle populations and how the efforts of Mr. Felix has drastically helped increase the numbers of the Golfina, as well as 3 other species of turtles native to the area. The miracle of these little turtles hatching takes 45 days. At that time, each tourist visiting, or couple, is allowed to assist these little creatures from within their sand covered beds. The large turtles seen in the video are the Hawksbill and the Green sea turtle. The Hawksbill is the one that swims down and follows the two divers seen, which are Brent and his wife. The Hawksbill can be distinguished by the shape of its mouth, similar to the shape of a hawks beak. The Large turtle munching on the sea grass is the green sea turtle. In many locations along the coast of Riviera Maya, Mexico the grasses grow and create perfect habitats for the beautiful animals.
Adult hawksbill sea turtles typically grow to 1m (3ft) in length, weighing around 80kg (180lb) on average. The heaviest hawksbill ever captured weighed 127kg (280lbs). Their shell has an amber background patterned with an irregular combination of light and dark streaks, with predominantly black and mottled-brown colors radiating to the sides. The green sea turtles as well grow quite large and can live up to 80 years. Adult green turtles grow on average to 1.5 metres (5ft) long. The average weight of mature individuals is 68–190kg (150–419lb) and the average carapace (shell) length is 78–112cm (31–44in). Both are very beautiful and graceful to see swimming in their natural environment, but experiencing the release of the baby turtles was very moving Brent and his wife mentioned. Amazing nature!

Deer family joins dad & daughter around backyard campfire
Victoria and her father were enjoying an evening in her parents beautiful backyard when guests arrived. After a long week of work, Tory's parents invited her for dinner and a visit. Once dinner was done they all decided it would be relaxing to sit out back amongst their amazing yard and garden. Lighting the propane camp fire to take the chill off the early summer night, all of a sudden one white tail deer arrived into the back yard. Having an amazing garden of flowers, that one deer seemed to have known all about this buffet of flowers as though he had been before. Deer truly enjoy snacking on flowers, specially roses.
After a few minutes of Tory and her dad watching this deer, so close, and so calm, one more arrived. "Holy cow, there's another one" exclaimed Tory. Having not seen the deer in his back yard before, Tory's dad was also very surprised and extremely excited seeing this within mere metres of his home. What happened next definitely made the night for them both, yet one more young deer appeared, seemingly hiding in the corner making sure it was safe to come out and join his family at the garden buffet. These white tail deer are quite common in wooded areas, including residential neighbourhoods that may be close to forests. Living in the suburb of Vancouver called Port Coquitlam, there are surely plenty of wooded areas near their home. ranging in size up to 150 pounds for males and around 110 pounds for females, they are a fairly small deer.

Woman Tries Sneeking a Kiss From Squirrel at Manning Park
Enjoying a day trip to Manning Park this woman found it very exciting seeing all the ground squirrels running through the park. Beside the highway #3 that transits from Hope British Columbia through to the Alberta border. Manning park is approximately a 2 hour drive from Vancouver amidst the Coast Mountain range and forest. These ground squirrels have found home right near the Maning Park resort, making it very easy for locals and tourists to enjoy the beauty of nature and these adorable little creatures. Most of the squirrels are quite use to human interaction and will come up very close to visit. On one occasion, the squirrel was so comfortable with Elsa near, she was able to scratch its back and head while the squirrel enjoyed a carrot. These squirrels differ from other types of squirrels in that they live mainly underground rather in trees. Weighing just over 1 pound ( 600 g) these cute little creatures generally live 3 years. How adorable.

Geese parents escort their babies to the beach in 4k
Seeing these Canada geese escorting their tiny babies along the shore at Whyecliff park brought some attention from the many human visitors on a sunny afternoon in May. Actively watching their young very closely, soon mom and pop goose ventured out of the water and onto the beach, gaining many onlookers and photo opportunities for park goers. Canada geese are generally native to arctic and temperate regions of North America but its migration at times takes them to northern Europe. These beautiful birds are primarily herbivorous and migratory. The geese in the video are enjoying a local park bay near Vancouver B.C Canada which is also a very well known scuba diving park. Many local residents as well as tourists, love to visit Whytecliff park to take in the beautiful surroundings and spectacular views. High rock cliffs offer up some simple climbing and amazing views over Howe Sound. Whytecliff park opened in 1909 and is located near West Vancouver's Horseshoe Bay Neighbourhood. Home to more than 200 marine animal species, Whytecliff Park is one of the first Marine Protected Areas in Canada where you're bound to catch a glimpse of Sea lions sunbathing on the beach during summer. At times, Orca whales have been known to venture very closely to the entrance of Whytecliff bay causing extreme excitement to visitors.

Giant shark with injured fin swims calmly past snorkellers
Whale sharks had made their annual migration and were feeding in an area off the coast of Cancun, Mexico near Isla Mujeres. The sharks congregate here due to the convergence of two major ocean currents which cause an upwelling of the waters that brings the sharks favourite foods to the surface, krill. An upwelling is an oceanographic phenomenon that involves wind-driven motion of dense, cooler, and usually nutrient-rich water towards the ocean surface. This type of current was replacing the warmer, usually nutrient-depleted surface water. These huge gentle animals feed on krill, fish eggs, plankton, and any other tiny creatures that may come within their massive mouths. They are filter feeders with very small throats openings and are completely harmless to humans. Reaching a length of 55 feet and an incredible weight of almost 100,000 lbs.,the sharks are one of the most beautiful and graceful creatures on the planet. Scuba divers and snorkelers travel from all over the world to swim with these magnificent animals, although in this area, snorkelling is the only way you are allowed to get close with these beautiful creatures. Scuba gear is not allowed to be used near them. A close encounter with such a giant is an unforgettable experience. This group of friends travelled from the East and West of Canada to take a private charter to an area some 20 miles from land off the island of Isla Mujeres. The videographer and friends chose a whale shark excursion with Serious Diving Tours from Isla Mujures to spend the day with. On this trip after the six snorkellers, as diving is not permitted around these majestic creatures, had the chance to swim with these animals, something amazing happened. This giant whale shark known as Rooster, swam within a few strokes of the boat, so the group donned their mask and fins and jumped in the water. Swimming hard is required even though the sharks show very little effort in their motions, they can disappear in seconds with the enormous power of their tails. Rooster gained his name from the damage seen on his dorsal fin. Since these beautiful animals are relatively slow swimmers, and spend a lot of their time feeding on the surface, this opens them up to injuries from cruise ships and freighters. The gashes on Rooster’s fin would have been caused by the propeller of a large ship, luckily it was only the fin and not its body that suffered the injury.

Mischievous yet lovable dog compilation
Poncho is the 13 year old Basenji cross rescue dog you are going to see here giving so much love and also being mischievous. Poncho was rescued from Riviera Maya Mexico along with her sister when she was just a tiny puppy. Moving back to Canada was most likely the best thing that has happened to her. Being a very loving dog, Poncho loves getting very close to her owner all the time. Following her owner everywhere is her duties. Her owner as you will see treats her amazingly and always shows her affection when Poncho asks for it. Nudging is her most favourite way of getting her owners attention which is seen numerous times in these clips. On her mischievous side, Poncho is know for messing up carpets when left alone and stealing food. As a young pup she could jump like a deer, and no food was safe at almost any height on a counter. As Poncho aged, her jumping skills slowed but if she could stand up tall and reach a snack anywhere, it was hers. Riding in the car, as with most pets, is Poncho's most favourite way to get around town and sitting up looking out the sunroof on the truck just made her day. Safety first, she had to wear goggles when observing the world pass by from her perch in dads truck.

Baby eats too much Cheerios like a little puppy
Harvey just turned one year old and like most youngsters, he is a baby that eats too much at times. Along with turning one, Harvey has had some other great changes in his continual growth. Mastering the skill of walking and starting to talk all within the same month. Now being mobile and faster than when crawling, Harvey is seen here eating way too many cheerios all over the deck of his grandparents home. The little black puppy is Harvey dog Bella, whom is waiting very closely for any cheerio that Harvey may miss from gobbling up off the blanket and patio. Harvey also has a very comical personality. While bending over to gobble up and eat way too much, turn up your volume as you will hear him and his adorable chuckle as he chows down on the cheerios. How adorable, he always makes everyone giggle. Enjoy the 4k footage.

Baby plays hide and seek by starting countdown
Harvey has just turned 1 year old and is quickly starting to roam the house not many weeks after taking his first steps unassisted. Only a couple weeks after beginning to walk on his own there is no stopping him now. From wandering the back yard and playing with his new toys from his first birthday, to doing laps around the living room. Harvey has started playing hide and seek, and grasping the concepts of hide and seek all on his own. Seeing him crouching beside mom and dads bed with his face buried into the side of the mattress, he surely is counting down to "ready or not, here I come". Of course he is not quite talking full sentences, or at least that are in English but rather baby talk, he seems to have the game figured out. Watch closely and turn up the volume, you can surely hear him counting down to completion to go searching for his hiding dog Bella. Even by the look on his adorable face you can definitely see he has that exact game of hide and seek on his mind. " Ok Bella here I come" has to be what Harvey is saying. Hide-and-seek is a popular children's game in which at least two players conceal themselves in a set environment like a park, backyard, or even inside the home, to be found by one or more seekers. The game is played by one of the players closing their eyes and counting down from a predetermined number while the other players hide. Then once the countdown hits zero, the seeker has to try finding the hiders, just like Harvey is displaying here. How adorable is such a young little guy for beginning to master the game of hide and seek at just a couple weeks over 1 year of age. All he needs now are more players. That surely will happen soon once he convinces mom and dad to get in on the game. How sweet.

Shih Tzu get the zoomies after bath time
Bath time for some puppies is not their favourite event of the day. Bella and Bentley are a pair of Shitzu cross pooches that definitely have different outlooks on bath time. Living in the outskirts of Vancouver in the city of Langley there is some great areas for walking your pets in wide open farmland areas. Behind their residence is agricultural reserve land meaning there are no housing developments and lots of walking trails full of mud puddles. Although in the open land, this also means lots of mud puddles and dirt patches which the pups love to play and roll in.
Having more free time during this 2020 covid-19 pandemic of social distancing, the pups mom has had much more time to take them for walks. This day brought on bath time for both Bella and Bentley. Bentley was up first and all went smooth as he enjoys getting his monthly spa treatment. Bella on the other hand, she is not a fan of getting all wet and soaped up. Usually as soon as she hears the word “bath” or the water running in the kitchen, she is gone, hiding wherever she finds the easiest that day. Spelling it out at least gives them time to prepare and have the dogs within arms reach. This was not one of those spell the word days, and Bella disappeared in a shot. “Bella where are you, it’s OK come have your bath!” Bella did not come running. Walking down the hall, Sandy had a good idea where Bella was, but you just never know until you see her. Nearing the end of the hallway and constantly calling Bella, she looked down under a small bench, and guess what, there was Bella.
Gently reaching down and pulling Bella from under the bench, Sandy proceeded to the kitchen “spa” and began Bella’s spa treatments. After a few minutes Bella was all clean and ready to evacuate the “spa”. Dried slightly, it was time for a good old fashioned doggy shake, and away both Bella and Bentley went running through the house like two happy puppies. Like most dogs, Bella does not like her face wet so she began putting her face on a matt as she ran around the living room. Making for hilarious footage and laughter, Bella and Bentley soon raced outside onto the back deck as bath time was complete. How cute watching puppies race around with the zoomies any time, especially all nice and clean after a bath. Zoomies are hilarious to watch with any pooch and always cause laughter. Adorable doggies.

Wild Peacocks roam neighbourhood in British Columbia
Peacocks took over a South Surrey neighbourhood in British Columbia, Canada. One of the local residents had the joy, or not, of having numerous families of Peafowl take up residence in one of his large trees within his yard. During 2018, the City of Surrey began trapping and relocating many of the birds as residents had been complaining about the noise, and mess these birds were making. After relocating 17 of the large peafowl aka Peacocks, there were still approximately 12 of the beautiful large birds remaining in the neighbourhood. After numerous efforts to have all of the birds removed from his property, the homeowner then took it upon himself to have the tree felled. Without permits, the home owner was breaking a number of city bylaws, which did not get forgotten about. Penalties were imposed, but that still did not solve the issue at hand. Even one year after the initial problems, there were a small number of the birds living within the neighbourhood. In this video you can see that these birds are quite larger and are free roaming. Climbing all over home owners houses, fences etc, they are also damaging grassy lawns. The male birds are knows as peacocks, where as the females are known as peafowl or peahens. Having a lifespan between 10 and 25 years and to around 10 to 12 pounds. Along with the issue of property damage and mess made by these birds living in such a large number in this neighbourhood, another issue that residents were not happy with was the number of drivers that cruised the area looking out for the peacocks. Paying more attention to the birds than their driving, this was becoming a hazard with the number of children in the area. Beautiful or not, this was a very hazardous situation that took more than 2 years to deal with. One thing for sure, “it was interesting seeing these birds up close” the videographer mentioned. Trying to record some very close video footage, it proved that these birds were not tame, one immediately made an effort to move away from the videographer. Up up and away went the one peacock perched on the fence to a safer location in its mind.

Woman Hand Feeds Large Wild Iguana At Mexico Resort
Vacationing in Riviera Maya, Mexico for their honeymoon brought some interesting adventures for a couple from British Columbia, Canada. A short drive south of Cancun was the residence for the couple and some friends for a week. The resort had some amazing foliage and walkways. Many wild creatures also enjoy the resorts. These creatures are not as such on a vacation like the humans, but they have taken up refuge within the bush areas of these resorts. Although it is suggested not to feed the wild animals, many enjoy getting up close and personal with some of the animals. Here we see this very large iguana enjoying a snack from a visitors hand. These large iguana are mainly herbivores and this guy was enjoying some berries that had fallen from a palm tree along a walkway. Of course at times, many of us enjoy getting as close as possible to certain animals since we don’t always see them in their natural habitat. This resort is very expansive and has acres of trees and bush in which wild animals inhabit. The spiny tail green iguana is very popular in these areas. Being vegetarians, in particular, they enjoy flowering shrubs, hibiscus, berries, fruits and vegetables such as tomatoes, strawberries and figs. Right beside the pathway was a very tall palm tree that had dropped many dark berries and the group notices this large iguana was picking them up as he walked along the garden. The woman in the video scooped up a handful of the berries, lay down on the pathway very slowly, and awaited the arrival of the iguana. Gently but cautiously the iguana approached all the while looking very alert for danger. Slowly he began taking the offering right out of the woman's hand.
Being very gentle the iguana looked very at ease, somewhat use to human interaction. As you will notice, this large iguana seems to have had some run in with another predator of some sort as he is missing part of his tail. They are able to regrow their tail in this situation as it is meant to break off in time of threat to its life if being grabbed by one of its predators. The few minutes of feeding this iguana was very special allowing all the friends to enjoy seeing him up close and enjoy a little of Mexico's natural wild life within the resort they were staying at.

Huge 6 Foot Moray Eel Hides From Divers
The green moray eel pictured in this beautiful footage was recorded in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. Playa Del Carmen offers many dive and snorkel locations as the reef along the shoreline carries on from Cancun to the north, all the way to the south near Belize. These beautiful moray eels can grow to a length of 2.5 meters or 8 feet in length and weigh 29 kilograms or 65 pounds. These divers were vacationing in Playa Del Carmen and had scheduled a dive day with Phantom Divers. The local weather had not been the best with rough waters and large waves. Deciding to stay near shore, the dive master chose Tortuga Reef dive site for their first dive of the day. Dropping over the edge of the boat, the group descended and soon found themselves in strong current whisking them along the sea floor and possible 3 knots. Passing by one very large sea turtle, you will see this guy has been around many years as he has barnacles all over its shell. Zooming along, flying over large sponge formations, two divers notice the seemingly “hiding” moray eel that is the subject of the video. Remaining low along the bottom and behind the sponge, this 6 foot long beauty stayed within his protection even when the divers come in close. Although looking very ferocious with their mouths constantly opening and closing, they do this to actually breathe. This action takes in water and forces it through their gills for their body to absorb oxygen from within the water. Although the Moray eel is actually brown in color, the mucous that covers its body along with the drab color of the water makes their skin appear a yellowish green. Having scales bodies, these eels are often feared and mistaken as “sea serpents”. Being a sedentary type creature, the moray eels have very large teeth and strong jaws, and rather than chase down their prey they wait motionless for their prey to swim by. Striking quickly they can grab the passing by prey and with their strong jaws and sharp teeth, the prey is unlikely to escape the eels grasp. Seeming very mean and nasty by their looks, these moray eels are actually docile unless tormented. Smiling for the camera, this beautiful creature did not seem to mind these divers recording him at all. What a beautiful world below the waves.

Sidewalk art brings very positive thoughts during coronavirus pandemic
Times have changed in many ways in the beginnings of 2020. The coronavirus has taken the world by storm causing many deaths in almost every country of the world. Amid all the negative news of numbers of sick and dying, some children in Surrey, British Columbia brought some light to this pandemic and trying times. With suggestions of staying home and indoors, it can be very stressful on the mind and body. Surrey which is on the outskirts of Vancouver, British Columbia along with the rest of the nearby cities, many people are venturing outdoors little by little.
April has shown positivity in the reduction of the virus allowing some relaxation from being held up in ones home. Here we see the creativity of some local children that have displayed both their art skills as well as their mindful positivity. Although the videographer was not able to witness the sidewalk art being created, he did enjoy seeing that there is still hope for a soon passing of the Covid 19 virus. Children are always so creative and open in their thoughts. Let's all keep a positive mind during these tough times.

Wild coati roams Mexico resort looking for lunch
On a recent vacation, Brent noticed a very interesting and cute animal that he later discovered was called a Coati. The coati is in the racoon family, measuring approximately 13 to 17 inches long from head to the base of the tail and weights around 4-1/2 to 7 pounds. The coati are similar to the size of a large house cat. Having long tails, this is used in tall vegetation to keep their troops in order, making it easy for the rest to follow the leader whom has his tail held high. Also having long snouts which they can rotate up to sixty degrees in any direction, they use their noses for pushing objects as well as reaching itchy spots on their bodies. Having strong limbs they are great climbers and diggers. The little coati whom is the subject of this video was wandering the pool area at Vidanta Riviera Maya. This resort is approximately 30 minutes south of Cancun Mexico. While relaxing at the resort pool on his vacation, Brent saw some movement out the corner of his eye. Once turned enough to see what was moving, he discovered a theft in progress. Not a regular personal property theft, but one of the visitors lunch. What Brent began to witness was the ingenuity the coati has gained in order to gather food, the easiest way possible. Prowling the pool area is a perfect way to find scraps of food, or as this little guy discovered, a whole tray full of food. Of course it is not suggested to feed the animals or they will always be bothering the guests. Also being wild animals, they still may bite. After satisfying his hunger and emptying the guests plate of food, Mr Coati moved onto the next unsuspecting guest.

Puppy dog hides when she knows it's bath time
Bath time for some puppies is not their favourite event of the day. Bella and Bentley are a pair of pups that definitely have different outlooks on bath time at the Foster residence. Living in the outskirts of Vancouver in the city of Langley there is some great areas for walking your pets in wide open farmland areas. Behind their residence is all agricultural reserve land meaning there are no housing developments. This is perfect as trails wind through fields making it safely away from traffic. Although in the open land, this also means lots of mud puddles and dirt patches which the pups love to play in which brings us to this recorded footage.
Having more free time during this 2020 covid-19 pandemic of social distancing, more dog walks have been happening at the Fosters. As Mrs. Foster mentions, they generally have to spell out the word ”b a t h” rather than just saying it when planning to give their two pooches a bath. Spelling it out at least gives them time to prepare and have the dogs within arms reach. This was not one of those spell the word days, and Bella disappeared in a shot.
“Bella where are you, it’s ok come have your bath!” Bella did not come running. Walking down the hall, Mrs. Foster has a good idea where Bella is, but you just never know until you see her. Nearing the end of the hallway and constantly calling Bella, she looks down and under a small bench, and guess what, there was Bella. Hiding and all safe from the bath monster so she thought, Bella stayed motionless. Gently reaching down and pulling Bella from under the bench, Mrs. Foster proceeded to the kitchen “spa” and began Bella’s spa treatments. After a few minutes Bella was all clean and ready to evacuate the “spa”. Dried slightly, it was time for a good old fashioned doggy shake, and away both Bella and Bentley went running through the house like two happy puppies.

Doggo patiently sits waiting for his birthday cake
Happy Birthday Pippin!! Pippin is now 7 years of age. Seen here enjoying very patiently, his birthday party with family during these covid-19 social distancing times in April 2020. Not even some children sit this well while anticipating a yummy birthday cake! A very well behaved pooch, Pippin loves to go for walks in the park and snuggle with his owner Sarah. Each year, Sarah loves putting on a birthday party for her little buddy whom is more like her child than just a dog. As far as designer dogs go, the Chiweenie is one of the cutest ones around. As a mix of Dachshund and Chihuahua, these hybrids pack a big personality inside of a small body. Owing to its purebred parents, the feisty Chiweenie will sport adorable appearance and a compact size, as well as a charming, spunky personality. Pippin surely fits this description. Dogs of this breed are friendly and loving, and make for ideal lap dogs, but don’t be fooled into thinking that these petite pooches are lazy couch potatoes! Pippin gets his walks daily, but during those extreme rainy days in Vancouvers winter Sarah prefers to stay in but this does not stop Pippin from constantly nudging to go on his walk. Also enjoying a lot of play time, only when he’s all tuckered out from playing, he’ll be content to curl up beside Sarah on the couch for a nap. Being the perfect size and temperament pooch, he does not require a lot of space so is perfect for those living in apartments or condos. He does tend to be a bit barky though, which he puts to use in his role of chief watchdog. The Chiweenie is a relatively new breed of designer dog, which likely had its start in North America. They were bred as early as the 1990s, but are gaining popularity as more owners and fans mention on social media just how great these guys are.Like most hybrids, this dog is an F1 or first generation mix. This means that the puppies have two purebred parents (of different breeds) and are the direct result of intentional crossbreeding. Known to be a bit stubborn, the Chiweenie can be a challenge to train. Keeping training sessions short and interesting, with plenty of treats and praise for a job well done will make it easier to teach your little buddy some manners and tricks. Harsh training methods won’t get you far with this dog. If he notices that you are getting frustrated with him, he’ll resist training altogether. Weighing in between 8 and 10 pounds for a healthy pooch, they are the perfect size to even carry along in a small travel bag while you head out on vacation. These little guys are generally a very healthy breed, and do not have many major health issues throughout their life. One health issue that is fairly common is allergies. Being a cross breed, your pooch could, but not definitely, inherit health issues from each of its parents. As with many small breeds, Chiweenies generally have a loving life span between 12 and 15 years so get ready for a long time of love and friendship from these little pups.

Coronavirus front line workers shown appreciation on land & water
For weeks now residents of Vancouver and its surrounding cities have been gathering outdoors in their neighbourhoods and at hospitals to cheer on the front line workers during this cover 19 pandemic. Many of the front line workers, being doctors, nurses, paramedics, police and firefighters are working much more than their regular shifts these days. Some are working 16 hour days for multiple days in a row, trying to keep ahead of this virus and it is wearing them down physically and mentally.
Weeks ago the gatherings began to cheer on these heroes at 7pm. The numbers of people cheering on the front line workers has grown and even local neighbourhoods can be seen outside their homes banging pots and pans, and honking vehicle horns to be heard at the 7 pm hour. Small numbers of these front line workers also can be seen outside local hospitals while on their rest breaks, thanking those that are cheering them on. Multiple police, fire and ambulance vehicles make their way past the hospitals as well when in the area to also show their appreciation for those out cheering them on.
In this video it also shows that not only on the streets of Vancouver and surrounding areas are the vehicles and residents gathering, but also on the water. Since Vancouver is along the West Coast of British Columbia and is bordered by the Pacific Ocean, there are numerous boat marinas in the area. Here it shows just such an area, Granville Island which is near the downtown core of Vancouver. Float homes and many boats are moored in this area, making it the perfect location to see and hear the 7 pm salute to all the front line workers. It is great seeing everyone come together to support those hard working front line workers that are going above and beyond their duties.

Coronavirus Lockdown Haircut Causes Tears of Laughter
Since this coronavirus pandemic has caused a lot of changes for all of us, one thing most are finding is that getting their regular hair cuts is not an option these days. Whether you choose to grow your hair out long, or attempt giving yourself a haircut, some decisions are needing to be made. Like Brent said, whom is the man in this video receiving the haircut," it's tough when you are use to having your hair trimmed frequently". This statement was followed up by "I mean, since I am use to having fairly short hair, when it begins to get longer, it starts to become irritating". Hair flowing over the ears, causing tickling, drives some people to the brink of trying to cut it themselves. This was as Brent stated "almost, but not quite the case", so he asked his amazing wife Elsa if she would give it a go. At first hesitant when she was initially asked a couple weeks ago, she began running her fingers through Brent's hair each day followed up with some giggles. " Hmmm" Brent thought to himself, "why is she giggling". Well in Elsa's mind, she could see this event possibly going horribly wrong. Maybe not wrong, just not quite the way it was hoped to proceed. The day had come, Easter weekend 2020. With the coronavirus social distancing and semi lockdown in Vancouver B.C in full swing, and a beautiful day of sunshine, it was time to "get 'er done." Enough procrastinating, let's do this. Gathering up all the tools of the trade, clippers( the best they had), a brush, a mirror( for those self checks) and of course a Gopro camera, everyone was ready to go. As you will see, Brent has a small issue with trusting his wife, although an amazing wife, with the scissors and clippers. Starting slowly, it was noticed the clippers in hand were not working as well as hoped. A couple little odd sounding trims caused some concern ( for Brent anyhow, Elsa just kept chuckling). Tears began to stream down both Elsa and Brents cheeks, as they could not hold back their emotions, emotions of hilarity. Struggling along until Amanda their daughter came to see how the job was going, she offered up a much better set of clippers. Whew, that surely saved the day from Brent deciding to just shave it all off and go completely bald. Back to the chore at hand, Elsa was really getting the hang of it. No more odd "vrrribt" noises coming from between the clippers and Brent's scalp. A few checks every once in awhile by the man beneath the clippers, and it was finally time to see how everything had turned out. In the end Elsa did a great job. Who would have thought there would actually be tears of hilarity, rather than tears of sadness on this very daring day on Easter Sunday. It must have been the Easter bunnies above bringing good luck to all.

Coronavirus Lockdown Causes Stress For Dogs Too
Poncho this pooch is definitely tired of the coronavirus pandemic lockdown. After three weeks of the social distancing orders in British Columbia, even pets are beginning to lose their patience. The covid19 pandemic throughout the world is having enormous effects on everyone. Everyone has seen the directives, wash your hands often, don’t touch your mouth and face, and most importantly keep your distance from others that you do not live with on a daily basis. Pets as well are feeling the effects of the coronavirus pandemic. Dog parks are closed as are many parks and trails in the Vancouver B.C area. Pet owners that have become accustomed to taking their dogs to local dog parks can no longer do that, and even the dogs themselves are surely missing out on playing with their friends at these parks. Poncho whom you see in this video has also been missing her local dog park friends. Although she does get out with her owner for neighbourhood walks, this appears to be not quite enough to keep her satisfied. Being restricted to her yard for most of the day, Poncho does get bored. “How does Poncho deal with this separation from her friends?”you ask. Well, as you will see, she takes her frustrations out on none other than the recycling bin for bottles and cans. In Vancouver, local residents have curb side pickup for bottles and cans, so they are placed in a blue plastic bin to make pickup easy. This also makes it easy for Poncho to take out her frustrations and get her some very important attention. Dogs all need attention, so as you will see, Poncho has shown the way she releases her “coronavirus lockdown anxiety” as well as gains the attention she desires. Poncho’s owner deals with her daily ritual in a very positive way, “Poncho, what have you done?”. She is surely a loved pooch!

One Baby Step For Man, One Giant Leap For Baby Harvey
Harvey is the adorable 11 month old little guy in this video. Appearing to be quite strong since shortly after birth, he has been progressing with motor skills at a great rate. starting out his mobility skills with what his parents called his "army crawl" on his belly basically pulling himself along the floor. After mastering his "army crawl" Harvey soon was full out crawling all over the main floor of the house. Stand came next, wobbly legs and all. Moving from toy to toy in his playroom while standing surely helped to build his leg muscles and mobility skills. Coming from a family of men that do not sit around idle very much, Harvey's mobility is right on schedule. with coronavirus having many of us in some sort of social distancing or lockdown, staying home more has been the norm. This more sometime has given Harvey more time to practice walking. As seen here, Megan his mom has created a simple way to get Harvey working to get his toys, all while not even knowing he is practicing to walk. Shuffling the box forward slightly on this day in April, caused Harvey to take his very first step on his own unaided. What an exciting day for the family. How adorable and such a feat!
