Not planned but I ended up coming back on the Hoverspeed one trip. I have crossed the channel on ferry, hydrofoil (pretty much everyone on the boat puked but me) and of course the Chunnel but this trip was the most fun. Too bad it ended, it was worth the 98 quid! From wikipedia: The Princess Anne (built 1968): built by British Hovercraft Corporation for Seaspeed and stretched in 1977. Transferred to Hoverspeed on creation of the company in 1981. Withdrawn in 2000. Currently at the Hovercraft Museum at HMS Daedalus.

Late nineties stop in Moscow. My late great friend Greg and I took the Trans-Siberian Express from St.Petersburg to Beijing in 97. Back when Moscow was pre-Putin and it seemed anything was possible. Last minute trip to California after winning a couple of solar trailers in an auction. Great trip. A 60 second video does it injustice.

My kids elementary school should stick to basic science, math and languages not agendas. The “Ontario School Climate Report Survey” was not appropriate for 9 year olds. It’s almost like they enjoy taking away their innocence.

First we cleared the approximate opening for the building. Although the backhoe would be going in later to clear it, I wanted to get a feel for the space before I marked the area to fully clear. This was done by chainsaws by myself and my buddy Eddie. Our backhoe guy Francois came in did the septic install and further cleared the land perfectly. He is a maniac. It was late in the fall/early winter (the snow was falling), so we had no time to seed it. I went up in April for the first time to inspect. It was fantastic. Some areas were wet and soggy, but it will dry out and improve with the grass. I managed to stake out the building(s). I also needed to measure all distances of the building to septic/boundary/high water mark etc. This was hopefully my last requirement in advance of a building permit.

First step in any cottage build to to build a shed. It was a bit of a hack but we only had weeks before winter. I built it 10X10ft to avoid a need for a permit. I later found I needed a permit so I regret not building it bigger. 12x16 would have been better. I currently have 22kwh of battery supply the lots needs for now. I have a separate video on that
