Healing-Minds is a channel about using meditation videos as a tool to help with addictions but that's not all I will be uploading weekly short videos with other helpful recover tools as well as my weight loss progress. My Story begins as an addicted gambler since the age of 18 years as well as overweight. This February it all came to crash at rock bottom I was admitted to the hospital for four weeks for suicidal tendencies and addictive behaviour. I was lucky that the hospital referred me to a three week rehab center for gambling that would forever change my life. At this center I was introduced to meditation and other tools. Since February 14 of this year, I have been in recovery with it's up and downs ever since. I found that meditating twice daily and other health habits I learned have been the key to remaining gambling free for five months now to starting my weight loss journey. It has not all been easy, I recently had a significant set back in my self care and use of other tools which led to a depression, however, my one commitment to meditation was my saving grace to remaining gambling free through this darker period.
Through short videos I will be documenting my weekly journey and providing other tips and tricks about the tools I used that week to remain on the recover path and progress my weight loss goals.
