Louise Creffield: Co-op Close Save Our Rights Bank Account, Civil Liberties Pressure Group CANCELLED
Closing of people's bank accounts. Louise Creffield from Save Our Rights on how they got nearly a million people out on the street of London during the 2021 Lockdowns and the campaign groups bank account has been shut down. .......
https://saveourrights.uk/
Our History - On 16th April 2020, Louise May Creffield was spending the day with her children in the woods and she felt a calling. A calling to make a real difference by utilising the skills and knowledge she had gained from working in the official political system.
Louise went searching for a group that was taking action. She felt it necessary to highlight that parliamentary protocols had gone out of the window, that our Human Rights were being infringed upon and to raise the voice of those suffering as a result, particularly children, the vulnerable and those in domestic violence situations.
Not being able to find such a group, Louise started her own group on Facebook called Save Our Rights UK. Within a few days this group had reached 1,000 members and now, two years later, her organisation has over 100,000 followers.
Being eager and proactive Louise arranged the first protest on 20th April 2020, just four days later, on Brighton beach. Louise had never organised a protest before but she doesn’t let that sort of technicality stop her. Six people turned up and they went shouting down the seafront as she didn’t even think to bring a megaphone.
This only grew weekly gaining more momentum and more support.
This evolved into huge London rallies with up to hundreds of thousands of people hitting the streets almost monthly.
In addition, Save Our Rights UK has run campaigns on issues such as the Covert Human Intelligence Sources Bill, Medical Freedom, the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Bill and more utilising bespoke online technology to amplify people’s voices to a level that means they cannot go unheard.

Bristol's Lakota club racket? Utilities/tax/creditors unpaid, companies collapsed, directors barred
Licencing organised crime at Bristol's Lakota Night Club? Deaths, rape, violence, directors suspended, companies collapsed, utilities, tax & creditors unpaid

https://politicsthisweek.wordpress.com/2023/07/13/not-the-bcfm-politics-show-presented-by-tony-gosling-148/
What’s the connection between the Burgess family and Lakota nightclub?
The transition from the old Avon Coroners court to the Lakota nightclub we have today - Siblings Marti and Bentleigh Burgess bought Lakota in 1994 with private Venture Capital funding.
In 1999, their mother Beverley Burgess set up Beatdraw Ltd to run Lakota, with the siblings' father Vincent Burgess as equal shareholder with Beverley.
..........
Beatdraw continued to operate the nightclub through the naughties but was finally wound up in 2012, In 2013 Teton Events was formed with the following shareholders: Vincent Burgess, Beverley Burgess, Bentleigh Burgess, Martino Burgess, Elanzo Burgess, Brent Taylor and Cassara Burgess,
By January 2017 the premises licence holder for ‘Lakota’ was Teton Events Limited and Designated Premises Supervisor was Bentleigh Burgess.
So in 2013 Teton Events was set up[ to run Lakota – are they still in charge?
Six years after it was formed a Petition to wind up Teton Events was presented on 7 Feb 2019 by the COMMISSIONERS FOR HM REVENUE AND CUSTOMS. Again – just not paying their taxes – VAT again? Its not clear.
But Lakota carried on operating?
In March 2020, the exact same shareholders and directors in Teton Events, set up new company Swift River LLP. But the first black Merchant Venturer, Marti Burgess, now also joined the board of directors. Presumably to bring some expertise from the MV’s corporate lawyers to the board about the latest legal techniques as to what they could and could not get away with. And she appears to have done that because new tactics are being employed -
After Marti joined Two other companies had been set up in parallel to run Lakota in the meantime, Iktomi and Lakota Ltd
So were there any consequences for the non-payment of taxes by Teton events which was wound up in 2019?
Not for three years 0 the wheels of justice turn very slowly
In 2022, Bentleigh Burgess was removed as demanded by the insolvency service. and rather than an individual, Lakota limited was appointed as director.
Bentleigh Shaun Burgess was banned from acting as a director for 3 years from 1 August 2022;
Beverley and Vincent Burgess were banned for 3 years from 15 March 2021.
So why haven’t we heard more about this catalogue of tax evasion - fraud and running up debts they seem to have no intention of ever paying – the organised crime technique of running up bad debts then deliberately collapsing companies every six or seven years? First Beatdraw in 2012 then Teton Events in 2019?
Bentleigh Burgess was one of the original directors at Bristol247. He resigned in July 2022. Marti Burgess is still a director at B247.
What about the actual nightclubbers -
April 2011 - 16 year old Joe Simons from Bath died after buying ecstasy, according to his friend, inside the club.
April 2018 - under age 15 year old Jackson Gibbons from Pontypool who shouldn’t have been allowed into Lakota went in... and later that night died after taking three so called ecstasy pills –
October 2019 – man punched in the face unprovoked – head smashed into the floor and he was taken to hospital with a bleed on the brain
February 2022 – two men assaulted in Lakota one punched in the face who had teeth knocked out and another head butted both needed hospital treatment
June 2022 – a woman is raped inside the Lakota and police release a CCTV image of the suspect
May 2022 –Lakota was the subject of a July 2022 Bristol City Council licensing committee hearing after an illegal rave in St Pauls three minutes walk from Lakota the same night as a US-style ‘Stokes Croft Block Party’. A local resident said because of open drug dealing outside Lakota and feeling frightened and intimidated walking home by groups of drug and alcohol fuelled revellers as well as unbearable noise levels in her flat at 3am which made it impossible to sleep she felt it necessary to ‘flee the area’. It was alleged Lakota had been promoting the event as an ‘experiment, to see what they could get away with’. But close confidant of mayor Marvin Rees, Cllr Marley Bennett dismissed the claims and renewed the club’s licence.
October 2022 – Fatboy slim rave had to be closed down by police after wannabe revellers had been climbing over the walls to an already packed outdoor rave which the owners decided to allow to carry on despite overcrowding way outside their licence.
Marti Burgess is co-chair of Bristol City Council's board Bristol @ Night, sits on the Bristol Cultural Development Partnership, on the board of the Bristol Music Trust. on Bristol City Council's Economy Board, on the City Centre Resilience Board, and on the Western Harbour Advisory

Palestine Freedom ship docks in Bristol for Harbour Festival a challenge to Israeli apartheid: Zohar

“It’s really nice to be part of this community and show solidarity with Gaza but I am flying home tomorrow. I have to mow the lawn, it’s getting overgrown.”
The boat is named Handala after the famous cartoon image of a refugee Palestinian child. Over the following days, Bristol Palestine Solidarity Campaign (PSC) has a range of events planned to raise the issues around the 16-year blockade of Gaza and the effects of this on children in particular.
Activists from Bristol hung a banner from the Junction Swing Bridge as the ship arrived at Cumberland Basin. (Image: Yvonne Deeney)
This will include tours of the Handala, a film about a previous mission to break the blockade, a fundraising concert, panel talks, middle eastern buffet and a picnic. The 16-year blockade of Gaza has had devastating effects on the population of the territory, many of whom are refugees.
Water consumption is well below the internationally recommended minimum, while electricity is frequently only available for a few hours a day. Earlier this year, Israel’s bombardment of Gaza killed 49 Palestinians, including 17 children.
The UN and human rights monitoring bodies have repeatedly condemned the blockade as illegal, drawing attention to its disastrous effects including on services like essential healthcare, education and sanitation, access to food, and on Gaza’s economy. The blockade has a particularly harsh impact on children, with Save the Children reporting that four out of five children in the Gaza Strip live with depression, grief and fear.
After finishing its tour of Europe, the Freedom Flotilla Coalition has announced its intention to sail to the Gaza Strip in 2024. Helen Wheeler, Secretary of Bristol PSC, said “The blockade of Gaza is illegal, immoral and barbaric.
“It is designed to punish and control an entire population by limiting their access to the resources required to live fulfilled lives. It needs to be brought to an end alongside Israel’s wider system of apartheid exercised over all Palestinians.
“The flotilla’s visit to Bristol is an important means of raising awareness of these injustices and building the pressure on our Government to take meaningful action to hold Israel to account for its violation of Palestinian rights and of international law.”
Itinerary:
10 July - 5:30pm Welcome the flotilla to Bristol, Cascade Steps, Anchor Road.
11-16 July 12 -6pm Bristol Docks PSC and Flotilla stall, tours of the Handala.

NATO want endless war in Ukraine: Cluster Bombs, Depleted Uranium & Macron's Long Range Missiles
French President Emmanuel Macron says Paris has agreed to supply Ukraine with long-range missiles. This, after Britain said it will provide Ukraine with similar missiles.
Chasing a mirage: Why Ukraine’s NATO membership bid is not happening
https://www.presstv.ir/Detail/2023/07/12/706901/Chasing-Mirage-Why-Ukraine-NATO-membership-Bid-Not-Happening
By Shabbir Rizvi
The NATO military alliance leaders convened at the 2023 Vilnius summit on Tuesday with a range of issues and discussionsover the future of the Brussels-headquartered Western bloc.
Ahead of the summit, while speaking to a gathering in the capital of Lithuania, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy made a passionate appeal to NATO leaders to make “the decisions that we deserve, all of us, every soldier, every citizen, every mother, every child expects.”
The embattled Ukrainian president, however, was up for a rude shock. NATO leaders said they would allow Ukraine to join the military bloc "when allies agree and conditions are met.”
The announcement came shortly after Zelensky slammed the US-led alliance for failing to set a timetable for Ukraine’s entry into the bloc, calling it "absurd."
"It's unprecedented and absurd when a time frame is set neither for the invitation nor for Ukraine's membership," he tweeted. "While at the same time, vague wording about 'conditions' is added even for inviting Ukraine. It seems there is no readiness to invite Ukraine to NATO or to make it a member of the Alliance."
It demonstrated that despite many NATO member countries pumping weapons into Ukraine and fanning the flames of war since February last year, they are still not ready to admit it into their ranks.
From the months leading up to the 2022 Russian military operation, Ukrainian officials have demanded entry into NATO, one of Russia’s few “red lines” that cannot be crossed.
This red line has now existed for decades - in fact, since the fall of the Soviet Union. In 1990, then-US Secretary of State James Baker told Soviet President Mikhail Gorbachev that NATO would not expand “one inch to the east.”
Since then, 19 countries have joined NATO, through nine different bid processes - encroaching on Russia’s border.
Russia sees this as a betrayal and an existential threat - especially considering the very reason NATO came into existence was to fight “the Soviet threat.”
The initial leadership of NATO went as far as recruiting Nazi leaders like Hans Speidal and Adolf Heusinger - whose entire strategy was framed around countering the Soviets.
Ukraine’s bid to join NATO - which is welcomed by some member states and protested by others - must never happen. The embattled state’s ascension to NATO risks creating a scenario leading to an all-out nuclear war between NATO states and Russia.
The obvious reasons should be addressed first - according to NATO’s own website and parameters “states which have ethnic disputes or external territorial disputes, including irredentist claims, or internal jurisdictional disputes must settle those disputes by peaceful means...”
The Russian military operation in Ukraine and its political fallout and peace talks would all have to come to pass prior to this week’s meeting – which didn’t happen.
Furthermore, Ukraine still considers the Crimea region - annexed by Russia in 2014 - its own. It would have to either completely surrender Crimea or launch history’s greatest counteroffensive to reclaim it.
As seen in the last month of the long-awaited counteroffensive, that is simply not happening. Ukraine is not gaining any significant ground despite Western arms supplies.
Another NATO document demands that countries seeking membership“must uphold democracy, including tolerating diversity.”
The Kiev regime in the wake of the war has banned all opposition parties and even jailed political opponents. Zelenskyy has even canceled elections. Prior to the war, there were crackdowns on unionization efforts, and far-right nationalists even burned down a union building while people were inside.
These are just some of the objective factors, per NATO’s own requirements - why Ukraine cannot join. But furthermore, Ukraine in and of itself is a massive liability to regional stability.
First, the Kiev regime is to a significant extent influenced by neo-Nazi ideology. Leadership in the military from the Azov battalion, which sports swastikas, to the political messaging of the Maiden coup in 2014 lays bare the political state of those in power in Ukraine.
Fascist elements in the control of the military pose a political threat that can easily lead the state of Ukraine into another war (or a serious escalation of the existing war), which could invoke NATO’s Article 5 and bring the world to nuclear catastrophe....

Diggers 350 occupation -The Land Is Ours - St Georges Hill, Surrey - April 1999 - TLIO
Diggers 350 email list – and St George’s Hill occupation in 1999
The Diggers 350 UK Land Rights email list
https://mailman.gn.apc.org/mailman/listinfo/diggers350
…was originally created for our two-week occupation of St. George’s Hill, Surrey, in April 1999 – view messages – and if you like what you see – join here – guaranteed NO ASTROTURF!
The Diggers Community is a land occupation in the spirit of Gerrard Winstanley and the Diggers. It is an eco-village in the woods surrounding some of the UKs most private residences.
https://tlio.org.uk/diggers-350-about/
On 3rd April 1999, a ‘ragged band’ of land-rights activists, history experts, local people, singers, stonemasons, and many more marched from Walton-on Thames to St George’s Hill in Surrey. With them they carried a stone commemorating the Diggers, a radical group who at the end of the English Civil War, set about trying to reclaim the land of Britain for those who were being dispossessed by enclosures and greed. Today, St Georges Hill is the Beverley Hills of London, an enclave for the ultra-rich. Not surprising, perhaps, that they could not find a place for our stone
When the march was over and the singing had been done, a number of people strolled across the estate and took occupation of a small piece of land on the junction of Camp End Road and Old Avenue, within the private St Georges Estate.
Within hours, a camp had sprung up, with tents, yurt, cooking facilities, compost toilets and a garden. As the first local visitors were welcomed at dusk, candle lanterns in the shape of giant vegetables lit up the trees. In a clearing stands the stone we brought from Walton on Thames churchyard.
The Diggers community has vowed to stay put until a permanent home is found for the Diggers Stone, with a public right of way leading to it. digger2
Yet the village is more than just a protest. It is also a celebration of what people can do when they come together to make something beautiful happen. It is a place of welcome to all in a largely hostile environment.
Together, we can make ecologically sound and socially just communities. The model of existence represented by the mansions of St George’s Hill is essentially exploitative and unsustainable. It is a mode of existence so blatantly wasteful that we were able to feed a hundred people with the shops closed on Easter Sunday just from food we found thrown out in skips. It is a mode of existence which is founded on the historical injustices of enclosure in this country and on the continuing injustices of landlordism and lifelordism in the worlds poorest countries.
The diggers community is a show-piece for the movement that rejects these things and puts forward a more sane way of being. The camp is buzzing with people who are involved in other projects to work on the land or in inner city allotments, people working to reform the law or to oppose genetic modification, people campaigning for greater access to the land and people working for change in the planning laws which make low impact living so hard.
Please do come and visit, join us for a cup of tea or an evening or a week, idealism hasn’t been so practical since the Diggers of 1649 :
Worke together,
Eate bread together,
Tell this all abroad

According to a Guardian article https://www.theguardian.com/society/1999/mar/24/guardiansocietysupplement2 it was a gap in the bushes where ‘Ceasar’s Cottage’ (now demolished I think) meets Camp End Road. I reckon it’s about here:
The thing is that’s already in the middle of the estate and all the roads leading to that point are already gated on the map.
He seems to have managed it in 2010, and I noted that he’s still active on that website. So if I were to fancy a walk to see old Gerard and Co and the Iron Age ramparts, I’d send him an email.

Is Assange being tried for publishing evidence that jailed bankers? Wikileaks' Kristinn Hrafnsson
How the banking crisis hit the 'Tchenguiz model' of wealth generation
This article is more than 12 years old
Robert Tchenguiz turned to Kaupthing in his hour of need, but the bank itself was in free fall
Simon Bowers
@sbowers00
Wed 9 Mar 2011 21.33 GMT
In the early summer of 2007 Robert Tchenguiz was sitting not just atop his 150ft yacht My Little Violet, in Monaco, but on top of the world. The property tycoon and financier had taken huge stakes in two of Britain's largest public companies – J Sainsbury and pub group Mitchells & Butlers – and was wielding his influence to campaign for a radical strategic shakeup of these conservatively run businesses. Both firms were dancing to his tune.
These were sluggish and bloated companies, he argued, resting on billions of pounds worth of freehold properties that could be sold off and then rented back to create a leaner, more responsive business. The prize for shareholders would be huge windfalls. And it was just the message the markets wanted to hear: shares in both firms soared.
But by the autumn of 2008 things had gone badly wrong for Tchenguiz. The credit crunch had set in and the banks were in meltdown. The Icelandic Kaupthing Bank – where Tchenguiz was the biggest customer for loans – collapsed and the repercussions cost the tycoon £1bn. His sprawling portfolio of businesses, from the Yates's wine bar chain to the Globe Pub Company, suffered badly in the recession.
Other investments were seized by the accountants called in to wade through the Kaupthing wreckage, sparking lengthy legal wrangles. Yesterday, however, the drama took another twist when investigators from the Serious Fraud Office and the City of London police raided seven London addresses at dawn and seven men, including Robert Tchenguiz and his brother Vincent, were arrested.
Four years ago, the Tchenguiz brothers were regarded as swashbuckling wheeler-dealers. A wave of hedge funds, billionaire investors and Middle Eastern wealth funds were all cheerleaders for the Tchenguiz model. (Tchenguiz, incidentally, is Persian for "Genghis".)
Robert was at the height of his powers, having spent years building on his already considerable family fortune through a series of breathtaking debt-financed real estate deals. Already an established name among Mayfair's property investors, he was regularly snapped in his trademark pink-tinted spectacles for society gossip columns alongside his glamorous wife, former Tatler journalist Heather Bird-Tchenguiz, who now runs an anti-ageing cream business.
But it was as activist investor in Sainsbury's and M&B that the billionaire investor was propelled centre stage into the glare of the public markets, a role he appeared to relish. Provocatively, he described Sainsbury's as "a real estate company with a retail business on the side". His words reverberated around UK plc, striking fear into the heart of many boardrooms. Operating from offices in Leconfield House, the former headquarters of MI5 in Curzon Street, Mayfair, Tchenguiz arguably did as much as anyone to set the bar for what, at the time, was called "balance-sheet efficiency".
Along with his considerable status and wealth, he gave more than £53,000 to David Cameron's Conservative party in 2006 through his R20 investment firm. His sister Lisa gave a further £100,000 two years later, while brother and sometime business partner Vincent has also contributed almost £20,000 – most of it as recently as last June.
Robert Tchenguiz's remarkable run of good fortune went into sharp reverse, however, in midsummer 2007 when the credit crunch saw banks pull their support for a debt-financed property deal at M&B. Months later, takeover talks at Sainsbury's were ended at the eleventh hour, with market uncertainty blamed.
By November 2007 Tchenguiz's investment business R20 took the unusual step of releasing a statement to the stock exchange denying "rumours and speculation" that it might be under pressure to sell down investments in Sainsbury's and M&B. "Unfounded speculation is a disservice to other shareholders," Tchenguiz said.

HSBC freeze Keep It Cash activist Debbie Hicks account, CBDCs Plan B? Philosophical money debate
The Keep it Cash street campaign and initiative was set up in April 2022 as a response to the alarming rate at which the UK is moving towards a cashless society.
The objective of Keep it Cash is to inspire and help develop a street based movement of activism in our town and cities to not only promote the use of cash more with the public, but to engage with the public more about how the financial system is changing into something dangerous and what a digital currency and economy means for them and their rights.
Why are we campaigning?
A digital currency, economy and digital id is a threat to us all for the future.
Not only will a digital currency mean that the government and banks can track every transaction and every move you make, it also means that if linked with a social credit system, every purchase you make and every time you pay for a service your social credit and bank account could be cut according to what the government set as desirable. In a new economy based on data harvesting, this could be anything from how much meat you eat, how much alcohol you drink, how many miles you’ve done in your diesel or petrol car that contribute to carbon emissions , or it could based on what you say on social media or whether you’re a political activist that’s critical of the government.
A digital economy not only is a likely tool for tyrants to control people, it is an attack on the most vulnerable in our society; the elderly, poor, disabled and self employed who rely on the use of cash. it is also an attack on jobs. Millions of jobs will go to automation, AI (artificial intelligence) and robotics.
Research from the post office shows that 8 million people would struggle to live without cash and that 1.4 million do not have a bank account.
Many shops and business are moving towards cashless payment systems and the announcement that from September 2022 all National Rail ticket offices will close down to be replaced by a cashless, online ticket system, is a big step towards a cashless society in the UK.
However, the good news is that statistics from the Bank of England show that cash circulation has gone up since 2020 and has been rising in recent years in most countries apart from Sweden. This is because during times of economic crisis people prefer to manage their finances with cash.
Objectives of the Keep it Cash Street Initiative:
Promote the use of cash with the public on our ‘Keep It Cash Fridays’.
Educate and inform the public as to the dangers of a cashless society.
Engage with the public to build a non politically partisan understanding and break down the divisions that have developed in our communities.
Inspire and help empower activist communities and groups around the country to develop new forms of activism to promote and save cash.
Help develop boycott campaigns for cashless businesses.
Offer support and/or advice to small or struggling cashless businesses on how to keep using cash.
Create a national directory of businesses that do and don’t accept cash.
Offer training on street activism and how to engage with the public.

A BBC spokesman said: 'BBC News has received comments and complaints concerning an interview with Naftali Bennett broadcast on the BBC News channel about recent events in the West Bank and Israel.
'The complaints raised relate to specific interview questions about the deaths of young people in the Jenin refugee camp. Across the BBC’s platforms - including our news channel - these events have been covered in an impartial and robust way.
'The United Nations raised the issue of the impact of the operation in Jenin on children and young people. While this was a legitimate subject to examine in the interview, we apologise that the language used in this line of questioning was not phrased well and was inappropriate.'
On Monday, Israellaunched what appeared to be a major military operation in the West bank, deploying hundreds of troops into Palestinian territory and conducting drone strikes on what it said were militant strongholds in and around Jenin.
At least 12 Palestinians were killed in the strikes 100 injured, according to the Palestinian health ministry.
'There is bombing from the air and an invasion from the ground,' Mahmoud al-Saadi, director of the Palestinian Red Crescent in Jenin, told AFP.
'Several houses and sites have been bombed... smoke is rising from everywhere.'
The extensive raid, which Israel claims is focused on a military stronghold in Jenin, was launched under Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's hard-right government and has employed armoured vehicles, army bulldozers and drone strikes.
In the city's refugee camp - an urban community that was home to 18,000 people - multiple streets were ripped up.
The raid left ]broken electricity cables, oil, and pools of water apparently after an Israeli anti-bomb bulldozer passed.
The incursion resembles the wide-scale deployments carried out during the second Palestinian uprising two decades ago, was described as an 'extensive counterterrorism effort' by Netanyahu's office.

Wake Up And Smell The Propaganda with CANCELLED Dr David Miller NTBCFMPS30Jun23
David Miller, former Sociology Professor at Bristol University, joins Tony and Martin. The cost of living crisis linked to the Ukraine war. Those on a low income and benefits cannot afford rental market.– Only 5% of privately rented properties in the UK are affordable to those on housing benefits, according to the Institute for Fiscal Studies. That’s a significant drop since the start of the pandemic, when 23% of new lets advertised on property website Zoopla could be rented solely using government housing support, the IFS said in a report published Tuesday. The findings pile pressure on Prime Minister Rishi Sunak’s government to end a three-year freeze on Local Housing Allowance rates, which determine the maximum a family can get toward their private rent costs. With rents rising by around a fifth in the same period, the freeze is inflicting further pain on low-income households already struggling with a sharp increase in food and energy costs. The LHA rate has been capped at 30% of average local rent in September 2019. A housing crisis is brewing in Britain as millions of people are forced to re-negotiate expiring fixed-rate mortgages at significantly higher costs as the Bank of England raises interest rates in its battle to tame inflation. Landlords are hiking rents to cover the extra costs. The little affordable housing left on the market is more likely to be of poor quality, the IFS said. Below average energy ratings and higher water and heating costs further erode the disposable income of those finding it hard to get by. According to the report, a quarter of the private homes rented by people on a low income would fail the Decent Homes Standards, the legal minimum requirements for social housing.

Dozens of delegates at the union’s AGM in Bournemouth declared their total opposition to the “conscription of labour” today and vowed to take all action possible against this “dystopian” legislation. To rapturous applause, RMT general secretary Mick Lynch said: “We need a national mobilisation of the entire organised working class. “We will fight this in the courts, the media and the workplace.” Although the exact details of the legislation are not yet clear, unions could face devastating financial penalties if they call strike action that falls foul of the law, with the courts forcing them to instruct their own members to cross picket lines. In a clear message to the government and employers, Mr Lynch added: “This union will not be bowed, we will not be cowed. “And we will continue to fight for our people and do whatever is needed to defend our members and the rest of the working class.” Delegates representing all parts of the union rose to speak on the unanimously backed motion.

Satanic Accelerationism vs God in the Cairngorms, Bilderberg Rewilding, Natalie Minnis, Tony Gosling
Natalie Minnis on Scottish mountaineering: Munros (over 3,000ft), Corbetts (2,500-3,000ft), Grahams (2,000-2,500ft) and Donalds (lowland hills over 2000ft) – Natalie Minnis – Ironically it was a health issue that triggered my hillwalking and climbing obsession. I used to run regularly, but I developed symptoms of an underactive thyroid, and found that I was no longer able to run for more than 20 minutes. Instead, I started going for long walks. I joined a Meetup group (Meetup.org) and I became an organiser, with the specific intention of posting easier hill walks that someone as unfit as myself would be able to do! After about a year of treatment, my thyroid problems improved and so did my fitness, quite suddenly. That was two years ago. I also started climbing, and I’m a hillwalking and climbing fanatic now. I recently did my Mountain Leader course, and I’m due to take my assessment soon. I used to think it was amazing that I met so many nice people in the hills. Now I realise that it’s because being out in the fresh air, in natural surroundings, puts people in a good mood.
Langley Park School for Boys, Nietzschean philosopher Nick Land: God, The Cairngorms and the Dark Enlightenment. Tony Gosling got to know an incredibly knowledgable ‘Nazi Nick’ Land at Langley Park grammar school in 1975 aged 13 and they struck up a friendship playing Diplomacy and SPI wargames every Saturday at Nicks home on the edge of Hayes Common. The pair sat next to each other in Maths and Physics also developing a shared interest in the study of the curious phenomenon of hallucinogenic drugs. Nick had an obsession with the US death and carnage in Vietnam and a ‘dark sense of humour’. In contrast he borrowed Tony’s hardback copies of Catholic writer and Jerusalem Bible translator JRR Tolkein’s Lord of The Rings. Along with two schoolfriends Tony and Nick spent a fortnight or so between their ‘O’ level exams and results wild camping around Wells, Somerset. But over the 1978 summer holidays. Nick ‘disappeared’ and in the new term starting ‘A’ levels at sixth form Nick had now become a Communist and took up with a new group of friends. Not long before they left Langley Park sixth form in 1980 Tony collared Nick at the bottom of the sixth form block stairs to ask a question which had been burning in his mind. After years of discussion about peace and war, right and wrong, left and right, did Nick think God existed or not? ‘Well’, said Nick, ‘Its in the balance isn’t it? I reckon about fifty-fifty’, then dashed upstairs. A few months later Tony pulled over into the Layham’s Road car park to open the envelope containing his ‘A’ level results. Before daring to look he offered up a heartfelt prayer that he didn’t want to go through the rest of his life not knowing whether God existed or not. A wrong decision might leave personal values upside-down as one sets out on life’s journey, an entire life wasted. At 18 years of age, in very personal moment between created and creator, whatever was in the envelope, he asked God to show him that he did indeed exist. As well as loving parents Christening new-borns, praying for spiritual protection of the innocents, all youngsters reaching the end of their teenage should be encouraged to reach out to God. It’s a biggie. Best to make the right decision at the outset.
Three months or so later Tony found himself on a pass in the Cairngorms in a sticky situation of his own making. With hindsight it was simply God’s answer to his prayer. From what began as a bright clear day with a good forecast the weather had come down so hard on the tops of the hills that Tony was shivering with cold and hypothermia, to far up to turn back and had lost the path in driving rain. It was late afternoon as he sat on a rock, shivering in thick cloud with the visibility at just a couple of feet. Tony prayed again, ‘I’m too young to die. Please God if you’re out there, get me out of this’. A few minutes later, for fifteen seconds or so, the solid cloud parted and Tony saw a tiny hut about a quarter of a mile away. Triangulating on the sun which was almost lost in haze Tony was filled with hope and energy as he set off through marsh, through the River Dee, up a thirty foot rock face taking best part of an hour to reach the hut inside which a Dutch couple were surprised to see him but had the fire going and he steamed through the night, sleeping fitfully with his back to the stone wall. God had answered young Tony’s question and prayer in a way it would not be easy to forget.

Pupil who questioned classmate 'identifying as a cat' called 'despicable' by teacher
https://www.sott.net/article/481412-Pupil-who-questioned-classmate-identifying-as-a-cat-called-despicable-by-teacher
Mon, 19 Jun 2023 11:53 UTC
A Church of England school teacher told a pupil she was "despicable" after she refused to accept that her classmate identifies as a cat.
The 13-year-old girl and her friend were reprimanded by their teacher at Rye College, in East Sussex, on Friday at the end of a Year 8 class on "life education" in which they were told they can "be who you want to be and how you identify is up to you".
The row, which has infuriated parents, was allegedly sparked by one of them asking a fellow pupil: "How can you identify as a cat when you're a girl?"
Their teacher told them they were being reported to a senior leader and were no longer welcome at the school, part of the Aquinas Trust, a Church of England network of 11 schools, if they continued to express the view that only boys and girls exist.
'They are genuinely unwell - crazy'
The Telegraph has heard a recording of the heated exchange taken by one of the pupils, in which the teacher starts by saying "how dare you - you've just really upset someone" by "questioning their identity".
The pupil responded: "If they want to identify as a cat or something then they are genuinely unwell - crazy."
The teacher then asks the girls "where did you get this idea from that there are only two genders", adding: "It is not an opinion."
The teacher said that "gender is not linked to the parts that you were born with, gender is about how you identify, which is what I said right from the very beginning of the lesson."
She added that "there is actually three biological sexes because you can be born with male and female body parts or hormones" and "there are lots of genders - there is transgender, there is a gender who are people who don't believe that they have a gender at all".
The girls said they "don't agree with that" and that you "can't have" a gender because "if you have a vagina you're a girl and if you have a penis you're a boy - that's it".
The teacher interjected in a raised voice: "What do you mean you can't have it? It's not a law ... Cisgender is not necessarily the way to be - you are talking about the fact that cisgender is the norm, that you identify with the sexual organ you were born with, that's basically what you're saying, which is really despicable."
The teacher suggested they were homophobic and confused, which the girls denied. When the pupils said their mothers would be on their side, the teacher responded: "Well that's very sad as well then."
The teacher said that "if you don't like it you need to go to a different school", adding: "I'm reporting you to [senior staff], you need to have a proper educational conversation about equality, diversity and inclusion because I'm not having that expressed in my lesson."
'The shutting down of debate'
The Telegraph has contacted the school and the trust for comment.
The parent of the pupil who took the recording expressed fury online and thanked "those who have been kind and supportive" to her daughter.
A parent of another Year 8 pupil at the school who has received the same lesson told The Telegraph: "I understand the point the teacher was attempting to make, what bothers me is the shutting down of debate in such a threatening and aggressive manner, which I don't believe is appropriate in an educational setting.
"Regardless of the subject, education should serve to build awareness of differing points of view to widen the understanding of a subject. It shouldn't be a case of indoctrination."
The Church of England trust that manages the school along with others in East Sussex, Kent and south-east London reportedly told its teachers earlier this year to "re-educate" those using "negative language" such as "that is mental" and "stop acting like a girl".
A spokesman for Rye College said: "We are committed to offering our pupils an inclusive education. Teachers endeavour to ensure that pupils' views are listened to, and encourage them to ask questions and engage in discussion. Teachers also aim to answer questions sensitively and honestly.
"We strive to uphold the highest standards across the school. We will be reviewing our processes and working with the relevant individuals to ensure such events do not take place in the future."

Anniversary of Sardasht chemical attack
Wednesday, 28 June 2023 8:25 PM
Iraqs attack on Iran in the 1980s killed many Iranians, with the help of Western supplied military equipment. The Sardasht chemical attack, which occurred 36 years ago, in which the Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein was responsible for the killing of some 130 Iranians, may be a piece of history, but the survivors who are suffering until this day deserve justice and have not forgotten this brutal attack.

Iran will neither forget nor forgive the perpetrators of the 1987 chemical attack on the Iranian city of Sardasht in West Azarbaijan Province, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian states, pointing to the the role of Western governments in supplying chemical agents to former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein.
In a Wednesday message on the occasion of the 36th anniversary of the chemical attack on Sardasht, the Iranian foreign minister once again drew attention to the active collusion of Western governments in the brutal atrocity by knowingly sending the chemical agents to Iraqi dictator.
“There is valid evidence and undeniable documents about the practical and extensive complicity of some Western countries, especially Germany, Britain, France, the Netherlands and the United States, in committing these crimes by equipping the Saddam regime with chemical weapons and helping it use them against the Iranian people,” Amir-Abdollahian said.
Over 100 people were killed in the Sardasht attack on June 28, 1987, and thousands more were exposed to chemical agents.
After three decades, many of the survivors of the chemical attack still have to live with the long-term respiratory and even psychological effects of inhaling mustard gas used in the attack.

MKO’s fate should serve as lesson to other opposition groups, warns Iran’s top general
Top Iranian general says the fate of the MKO terrorist group should serve as a lesson to those enjoying the backing of the Iran’s enemies.
Amir-Abdollahian also said Western countries that claim to defend human rights have overtly hampered Iran’s legal measures over the last 36 years to secure the rights of the martyrs and survivors of the attack and punish the perpetrators as well as their accomplices.
He added that the Western-backed atrocities against Iran have been committed in clear violation of international law and the United Nations Charter, emphasizing that all the perpetrators must be held accountable for their inhumane acts.
The top Iranian diplomat stressed that the obstacles in the way of pursuing the chemical victims’ rights will neither remove the international responsibility of the relevant states nor will it disrupt Iran’s determination to follow its rights.
He noted that one of the less seen aspects of the use of chemical weapons against Iran was its “widespread use against cities and civilians, especially defenseless women and innocent children,” which killed thousands of people and injured tens of thousands of others, many of whom are still suffering.
The Iranian foreign minister further said the West’s sanctions on medicine and medical equipment required by the victims of chemical attacks are a blatant example of “the most inhumane crimes against humanity.”
Amir-Abdollahian emphasized, however, that the Iranian government is making serious efforts to provide medical services to the victims of chemical attacks despite all the sanctions against the country.
“As the biggest victim of the widespread and systematic use of chemical weapons at the modern period, the Islamic Republic of Iran condemns the use of chemical weapons anywhere by anyone and under any circumstances and once again renews its commitment to the realization of a world free of chemical weapons,” Amir-Abdollahian said.
He also urged the complete destruction of the US chemical weapons and the immediate and unconditional accession of the Israeli regime to the Convention on the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons as well as its effective and non-discriminatory full implementation to achieve its full objectives.

The Society of Merchant Venturers recognises Charter Day each year on 10th November (or on the closest Monday after the 10th if the 10th falls on a weekend). Charter Day itself commemorates the granting of the Royal Charter by Edward VI in 1552, endorsed (in error) by Charles I in 1639.
At today’s Merchant Venturers’ Charter Day Service in Bristol Cathedral the Bishop of Bristol The Right Reverend Michael Hill made the extraordinary statement to hundreds of schoolchildren in his sermon that rumours Bristol born seventeenth and eighteenth century merchant and MP Edward Colston made money from the slave trade are just ‘speculation’.
It is not known how much the former slave trading Society of Merchant Venturers pay for the exclusive hire of Bristol Cathedral every year for their November Charter Day service which brings together pupils of Colston Boys’ School, Colston Girls’ School and the new Merchants’ Academy in Withywood, but the sum is believed to be considerable.
The comments about Edward Colston’s involvement with the slave trade being ‘speculation’ start here. Controversial comments begin 28 seconds in:

Bristol bishop says slave trader remarks 'misinterpreted' 12 November 2014
Bishop Hill said he was referring to the "speculation around the morality of Colston's business dealings"
The Bishop of Bristol said comments in a sermon which dismissed Edward Colston's links to the slave trade as "speculation" were "misinterpreted".
Remarks about the 17th Century slave trader were made by the Right Reverend Michael Hill at Bristol Cathedral.
He was reported as saying, to a private audience, that "there may be still some peculation around his business roots".
Bishop Hill said he was referring to the "speculation around the morality of Colston's business dealings".
Edward Colston, an official of the slave trading Royal African Company, made a significant proportion of his money directly or indirectly from the trade.
He also donated considerable sums to charitable causes across the city, resulting in an ongoing controversy about how he is remembered.
On Monday, Bishop Hill was addressing a private audience at the annual Merchant Venturers' Charter Day service at the cathedral.
According to Tony Gosling, who was in the congregation, the bishop said he thought Edward Colston had "lived a life of significance" and there "may be still some speculation on some of the circumstances around his business roots right here [in Bristol]".
"What I heard the bishop say was: 'It is speculation'" he said.
'Misinterpreted by some'
But Bishop Hill said he was "against all forms of slavery" and was "sad" his message had been "misinterpreted by some".
"The speculation, I was trying to refer to was there are some people who see Colston as completely tainted by his past and there are others who see his efforts as philanthropic," he said.
"I was in front of a congregation that had three schools in it, and two of them had directly benefited from Colston.
"Colston, despite his ill-gotten gains, did some things that were significant and the children and elderly in our city have benefitted from his benefaction

A Public Inquiry must be urgently held to discuss the reasons and potential causes behind the excess death rate in England and Wales since the middle of October 2022.
The excess deaths are of huge concern to the public and the cause MUST be established. There is concern that these excess deaths are as a result of the Covid 19 vaccines, but Parliament is not addressing this.

Lord Matt Ridley on Oliver Dowden's misinformation unit climate hoax & the mega spin BS batallions
The UK is blinding itself to the truth about COVID’s origins - Matt Ridley

As a US Senate committee’s full, 300-page report on the origin of covid now makes clear, a whole string of clues now points towards a laboratory accident as the probable cause of the covid pandemic.
For example, there is: evidence of a biosafety crisis at the lab in the autumn of 2019; the Chinese authorities’ refusal to share details of early human cases of the disease in November 2019; persistent reports from US intelligence that these early cases includes lab workers; the apparent start of vaccine manufacture in China even before the outbreak was declared; and the astonishingly uncooperative attitude of the Chinese authorities to investigating the origin.
Add to these: the failure to find infected animals in markets or on farms; the coincidence of the virus’s closest relatives at the time of the outbreak being inside the Wuhan Institute of Virology; the revelation that that institute brought about 200 kinds of bat coronavirus to Wuhan from a long way away; the risky nature of the research they did to combine the genes of new viruses with existing ones and test them on human cells; the surprising finding that the virus that caused covid has a unique genetic feature that just happens to be of the kind that the institute had been inserting into other viruses; and the blank refusal to share their database of viruses they were working on with the outside world after taking it offline in September 2019.
Despite the best efforts of a small group of western virologists who funded or collaborated with that Wuhan laboratory to shut down the debate in the west and label a lab leak a conspiracy theory, the matter will not go away. Yet the British science establishment and the British government, normally so ready to boast of our reputation as a biomedical research hub second only to the United States, has done literally nothing to contribute to this debate. I cannot think of a single significant contribution from our universities and institutes, except the strange role that the Wellcome Trust played in convening a meeting in February 2020 that effectively agreed to mislead the public about the plausibility of a lab leak.
With the US government compromised by its having funded the very work in the very lab in Wuhan that is under suspicion, there was a golden opportunity for British scientists and spies to step in as honest brokers and piece together all the evidence. Yet they refused to do so.
When I urged the Royal Society at least to debate the matter, they politely declined. When I urged the Academy of Medical Sciences (of which I am a fellow) to investigate, they told me the topic was “too controversial”. Nature, Britain’s and the world’s premier science journal, has confined its reporting to condescending dismissal of all speculation about a lab leak.
When I asked a senior scientist to help wake up the science establishment to the biggest enigma science has faced in decades, he said he thought it was vital we do not find out what happened lest it annoy the Chinese government. This is not the stance anybody would take over an accident in an airliner, a chemical plant or a nuclear reactor. Yet unlike such accidents the pandemic killed millions.
Of course he is right about the reason for our reticence. The Foreign Office is in permanent kow-tow. Our universities and science journals are dependent directly or indirectly on Chinese funds and infested with people who openly admire authoritarian communism. Senior scientists are worried that admitting a lab leak is plausible would damage the reputation of science. To which I say: not half as much as trying to cover it up.

Sweden’s chief NATO accession negotiator Oscar Stenström secretly at Bilderberg 2023, Hannah Borno
Swedish NATO negotiator left off Bilderberg list, gets in anyway

Stenström quietly attended the conference of transatlantic business and political elites last week, though Bilderberg denies he participated in its actual meeting.
By JOSH FRIEDMAN
LISBON, Portugal – Artificial intelligence topped the key topics list for the 69th Bilderberg meeting, held last week in Lisbon, Portugal, and the biggest names in the emerging high-tech industry were in attendance at the posh Pestana Palace Lisboa in the Portuguese capital. While present and past CEOs of Open AI, Microsoft, Google and Google DeepMind drew the attention of some United States media, the transatlantic gathering also shaped up quietly, as it has in years past, as an informal NATO summit.
Jens Stoltenberg, the head of NATO, attended last week’s Bilderberg Meeting, as did the prime ministers of three of the alliance’s member countries. An ex-prime minister of a country trying to join the alliance, Sweden, also participated in the meeting, and she may or may not have come with a plus-one.
In true Bilderberg fashion, Sweden’s chief negotiator for NATO membership attended the gathering of European and North American elites in Lisbon, yet he did not appear on the participants’ list. The only explanation provided thus far for what Oscar Stenström could have been doing inside the fortified Pestana Palace came in the form of a Bilderberg Press Service reply to a CalCoastNews inquiry.
“As you can surely imagine, the total number of people in the hotel exceeds the number of participants,” Bilderberg’s press office stated in an email. “There are some accompanying staff members, and they do not participate in the meeting or part of it.”
Stenström works as an ambassador for NATO negotiations for the Swedish Prime Minister’s Office. Formally, he is not a member of the staff of any of the listed Bilderberg participants. However, Stenström did accompany one participant on a walk Saturday afternoon in Lisbon. That individual is Stenström’s former boss, ex-Swedish prime minister and current opposition leader, Magdalena Andersson.
CalCoastNews spotted Andersson on a walk outside the Pestana Palace and attempted to pose questions to her about Sweden’s NATO bid and what she was doing at the Bilderberg Meeting. Unbeknown that Andersson was sharing an afternoon stroll with Sweden’s top NATO negotiator, CalCoastNews asked the opposition leader whether she had any conversations with alliance chief Stoltenberg and whether Sweden’s effort to join the defense pact had been discussed at the Bilderberg Meeting.
Neither Andersson, nor Stenström, addressed the questions.
“We’re having a chat,” Andersson said.
After a few minutes, the former prime minister and Sweden’s chief NATO negotiator walked past a security checkpoint and returned to the Pestana Palace, ending their afternoon walk abruptly.
During the previous Bilderberg Meeting, held June 2 through 5, 2022 in Washington, D.C., Stoltenberg met with Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin. Stoltenberg and Marin discussed Finland’s and Sweden’s NATO membership bids, as well as Turkey’s objections to them, the NATO chief stated in a tweet. Though Stoltenberg made no mention of Bilderberg, his tweet contained a photo of him standing with Marin at the hotel in Washington D.C., where the secretive conference was taking place.
When Bilderberg convened in 2022, Turkey was holding up both Finland’s and Sweden’s admission into NATO. Now, Turkey is just holding up Finland’s admission into the alliance. The Turkish government objects to there being groups in Sweden with ties to terrorism in Turkey, and it is blocking Finland’s NATO accession over the matter.
As Sweden’s top negotiator, Stenström’s role includes direct talks with Turkish and NATO officials over the terror issue. Those talks and Stenström’s comments on the progress, or lack thereof, often make international news.
A day prior to CalCoastNews’s encounter with Stenström, while the Bilderberg Meeting was ongoing, the Swedish diplomat retweeted a NATO tweet saying, “Sweden and NATO are closer than ever as the country prepares to join the alliance.”
The Swedish Prime Minister’s Office, as of publication time, did not respond to a request for comment about Stenström’s appearance in Lisbon and whether NATO accession talks took place in the Portuguese capital while he was there.
Bilderberg’s Press Service did not acknowledge Stenström’s appearance in Lisbon, though it did acknowledge there were staff members accompanying participants inside the Pestana Palace.
Similarly, in 2019, U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo was not on the Bilderberg

Climate change or natural phenomena? The Big Freeze of 1963 - TX 22Apr2023
Snow began falling on Boxing Day 1962 and barely stopped for the next 10 weeks.
Bone-chilling. Temperatures dipped to such extremes that rivers and even stretches of the sea froze. In Braemar, the temperature fell to -22.2C on January 18, 1963.
The Big Freeze: Winter ’63 revisited in new Channel 5 documentary
Why are we reminiscing?
A new Channel 5 documentary will re-examine what is described as "arguably the most devastating weather event to hit modern Britain".
It began on December 24, 1962, when a belt of rain over northern Scotland turned to snow as it moved south, giving Glasgow its first white Christmas since 1938. The snow-belt reached southern England on Boxing Day, settling up to 30cm (12in) deep in places.
Blizzard conditions in the days that followed saw roads and railways blocked, telephone lines brought down, and some villages cut off. Snow cover remained in many places well into March 1963.
The 90-minute film will feature vivid testimony from those who lived through it, including actor Dame Joanna Lumley, Countryfile presenter John Craven and record producer Pete Waterman.

Jacob Rees-Mogg says his move puts him in 'pole position' for Tory leadership

With his usual aplomb, Boris Johnson has brought the curtain down on the latest stage of his political career.
The most compelling Conservative politician of his generation took everyone by surprise – critics and allies alike – by resigning his Commons seat.
His actions command attention in a way that others can only dream about.
In the pantheon of Prime Ministers, Boris ranks with Chatham, Palmerston and Thatcher, and is only really outgunned by Walpole because of longevity or Pitt and Churchill because of war.

His extraordinary achievements in his brief spell as Prime Minister include campaigning for a successful Brexit vote and then getting it done.
In his brave support for Ukraine, Boris has also reawakened the West to its global responsibilities.

Even Boris's leadership during Covid was essential as we now know that the fanatics wanted us even more firmly locked down.
However, his charisma and appeal have always been galling to his political opponents, both within the Conservative Party and outside it.
The dullards of the Privileges Committee, as the Lilliputians with Gulliver, tried to tie him down but failed.
In the face of a clearly partisan, biased report by a committee which Boris himself has called a 'kangaroo court', he has done the right thing by pre-empting it and rendering it null and void.
This, though, is most definitely not the end of Boris in the politics of our nation. In fact, his dramatic move – and his own hint that he will seek another Parliamentary berth – puts him in pole position to return as Conservative leader if a vacancy should arise.
On that note, I would most strongly warn Conservative Party managers against any attempt to block Boris if he seeks the party nomination in another seat.
Any attempt to do so would shatter our fragile party unity and plunge the Conservatives into civil war.
I am not, unlike some of my fellow Boris admirers, resigning my Commons seat. I can understand their anger at the former Prime Minister's treatment.
For my part, I will fight my North- East Somerset seat at the next Election and campaign for a Conservative victory nationally.

A humanitarian disaster unfolding. The Kherson dam explosion is threatening the lives of many, showing how the Ukraine war is taking on an even more dire situation for civilians on the ground. Much Love,
Blackrock & Private Equity Firms, The Hidden Masters of the Universe, Ben Chu
You’ve heard of bankers. You’re perhaps vaguely aware of hedge funds. But private equity? Maybe not. Yet private equity is all around you – from health clinics and supermarkets, to football clubs and the music industry. It might well be housing your granny. Who are these hidden masters of the universe?
Private equity describes wealthy investors pooling their money to buy and manage companies that are not listed on, or that they remove from, the public stock markets. To advocates, private equity means better run companies, higher profits and more jobs. To detractors, it’s deplorable secret asset stripping that makes fortunes for the financiers, but which often leads to mass sackings, excessive debt, hollowed out companies and, ultimately, corporate collapse.
In this documentary, Ben Chu, economics editor of BBC Newsnight, will introduce you to a burgeoning - but also, by turns, glamorous, mysterious and controversial - hub of 21st century capitalism. One that, whether you know it yet or not, is shaping the world around us.
