Pokemon Trading Card Game - Part 7: Second Tournament
With our sixth medal (badge), the second tournament is being hosted, and it is pretty much more of the same. In terms of format, we are looking at winning three consecutive matches with the third being Ronald. The first two matches can come from any area, so having a few different types of decks can take you far.
The reward for this tournament is one of the more broken cards, and one that I am not sure was ever tournament legal. I want to say this was the Rainbow Island Mew, but I may be misremembering. The gist is that it is immune to damage from evolved Pokemon. Sadly, the NPCs don't always do a lot of evolution to take advantage of this, but when they do, you can be prepared. Besides, there is always PvP...
Legend of Heroes: Trails to Azure - Part 51: Stargazer's Tower
The time has come for the Anguis battle most have been dreading. We make our way to Stargazer's and smash the archaisms at the door to gain entry. Fighting our way to the top, we find the bell being guarded by Arianrhod. This is one of the many fights that is not required to win, but the reward for doing so is immense.
For the first half of the fight, Arianrhod is barely interested, but when you manage to break her helmet, she refreshes herself and gets serious. She does have the means to hit dodge tanks, so there is no real cheese strategy that can be used here. Still, having the dodge tank can serve as a good decoy, so I recommend having one while using a team of mages to pound on her. Tio is a must as you will need to use her S-Craft to negate Arianrhod's S-Craft, and Tio is one of the best casters in the game.
Also, I have spliced in the losing dialogue for the fight into the end of the video for those who want to see it. I remember when I did the losing then the winning dialogue from Sky 3, most people skipped the winning one...
Legend of Heroes: Trails to Azure - Part 49: Declaration of Invalidity and Patrol
We make our move here with a broadcast to cast doubt on everything Crois has done. From there, we hit up the regions outside of Crossbell for a patrol, seeing as we do not have access to the city proper where the majority of the people could be found.
Pokemon Trading Card Game - Part 5: Science Club
Let the poison flow...
With my now completed Nido (poison) deck, we can go into the science club and see who has the more potent poisons. There are two sources of poison in this deck: Nidoking and Muk. Nikoking is the far more reliable, so I usually prefer to send him into the fray. In the event the match goes long enough, you may even be able to get a couple Nidokings into play, which allows Nidoqueen to surge. Then depending on how reliant a specific deck is on powers, Muk could be the star, so we have quite a few options. Sadly, I only had 1 Muk at the time of this recording, so the Pokemon does not get as much screen time as it does deserve.
Legend of Heroes: Trails into Reverie - C Act 3: Mirror Shard
We continue trying to make our way toward Mainz only to get caught and have to be rescued by an unlikely source. With her help, we finally make our way onto the path where C notices something in his pocket that wasn't there earlier...
Legend of Heroes: Trails to Azure - Part 47B: Post Jailbreak Exterminations
All of these fights are shown in the main numbered video, but if you want to see the exterminations on their own, you can do so here. Truth be told, all of these enemies are fairly weak for this stage of the game and once you have a full party assembled, they are easy to take down. Once you do so, you are free to collect the monetary reward and any DP that can lead to the final ranks in the game.
Legend of Heroes: Trails to Azure - Part 47: Infiltrating Bellguard
Sadly, with this being an enemy stronghold, we cannot liberate it. However, on the way to Bellguard, I take the opportunity to do a lot of fighting. We knock out the mission monsters, the high level chests, and the cryptids on the way, making this video very combat intensive.
Upon arriving, someone is waiting for us, leading to a duel between her and Lloyd. When said and done, we get to meet Baelz and have a plan of attack...

Legend of Heroes: Trails to Azure - Part 46: Doll Studio & Mainz Liberation
We now have access to the north, so what better way to celebrate than to go open the monster chests we've been holding off on? With some nasty fights coming up, there are a few elements I want, but sadly, water is the most difficult one to get and will need to wait.
Beyond this, we make our way through a heavily booby trapped tunnel to arrive at Mainz where we get to fight some Red Constellation goons before reinforcements arrive to force them out. With this, another area is liberated.
Pokemon Trading Card Game - Part 4: First Tournament
After getting your third medal (badge), you can take part in a tournament for a special promo card. In the event you want to get all of the cards, this is the only reliable way to get this promo. If you want more of them, they will appear randomly in the post game when more tournaments are held. This tournament can be missed, so don't take too long to do it.
The premise for the tournament is that you need to win 3 matches in a row, and the third match will always be the rival. For the first two, they are randomly pulled from the other trainers in the game, so it could be someone you've seen before, it could be someone different.
I recommend saving in the event you do not have a deck to take advantage of the various types. It is possible for me to run into someone from the water club and have little recourse, but luckily with the fire deck, you only need to worry about the water trainers which are rare. For the rival battle, Energy Removals are worth their weight in gold. He packs loads of different energy and being able to zero in on the ones he needs and leaving the rabble could leave him completely helpless.
As for the promo card, it is a Mewtwo that was given away in the first Pokemon movie at various theaters. It was one of four cards given away, and I remember there was a Dragonite and Electabuzz, but I don't remember if the fourth card was a Pikachu or not. Interestingly enough, my cousin got this one while I got the Dragonite. Personally, I think the Mewtwo was the best of the bunch, and it fits well into a lot of psychic decks. I will attempt to field one before the game ends.

Pokemon Trading Card Game - Part 3: Rock Club
For unspecified reasons, I am not able to record too much at the moment, so I knocked out a few of these to serve as weekend filler. I especially feel that way about the Rock club as they do not impress me. They can be a little on the dangerous side if you are running a colorless, non-avian deck, but if you can swing in a few birds, you can shut them down hard. Basically, unless they can get over that 30 points of damage reduction, they are forced to rely on the secondary types in their decks which just suck.
Also, since recording this, I found a video on Youtube that explains card pop. Sadly, it seems Venusaur is impossible to obtain, and it is the only one worth doing so as the Mew is nothing more than a ball of randomness. If there ever becomes a legitimate way to obtain Venusaur, and I am able to get it, perhaps then I can make a Venusaur deck to try to make something out of the weakest starter of the bunch (in the card game).
Trails into Reverie - C/Rean Act 2 Finale (C Unmasked)
With this, we've caught up to everything I recorded in advance. As such, I cannot promise releases for the coming week unless I get the opportunity to play over the weekend. This is something I may touch upon in an upcoming update video.
Otherwise, the collision course between C and Rean reaches its climax with the arrival of reinforcements for the Thors team. We have to face off against them and when everything is said and done, C gives the Thors team a clue about Olivert before taking off to possibly run into the Crossbell team.
Legend of Heroes: Trails to Azure - Part 45: Liberating Armorica
With one area secured, we head over to Armorica and find ourselves walking into a trap at the Ancient Battlefield. However, timely intervention from an acquaintance leads to the party picking up a new member. Now, we can field a team of humans and allow Zeit to get back to doing what he does best.
Legend of Heroes: Trails to Azure - Part 44: Liberating St. Ursula
We need to get the group back together, and we opt to start where all of the wounded have been congregating, meaning we can check up on a lot of people while we are here. Before we can make our entrance, we touch down at the sandbar and make the rest of the way on foot. From there, we get to explore the hospital and see the condition of Ilya and Donovan before picking up a party member and a member of the Merkabah crew. Now we get to go to another location and do this all over again.

Legend of Heroes: Trails into Reverie - C Act 2 Part 1
Due to internet connection problems, this is coming out 12 hours late.
In this part, we get to pick up where C's previous act ended and get to explore Heimdallr with Nadia and Lapis. They happen to cross paths with the Thors group and with a little pickpocket action, set them on a collision course where the malevolent party is left holding the bag. However, the fallout of this intersection has yet to be concluded.
Legend of Heroes: Trails to Azure - Part 43: Jailbreak
The team has been scattered. Lloyd is able to meet with a load of familiar faces as we can see people we arrested between this game and Zero. Luckily, Garcia is fairly cooperative, so with his help, Lloyd stages a daring jailbreak, the likes of which have never been seen before...
Tyrion Cuthbert: Attorney of the Arcane - Case 1: The Coldhearted Aristocrat - Part 2
Here is the conclusion to the case. We have to find the last few pieces to determine what happened that night. From there, we need to confront the culprit in court and take him down in front of everyone in a way he cannot weasel out of.

Pokemon Trading Card Game - Part 2: Fire Club
We've used our advantage in the previous video and now we need to move to neutral terrain. This means taking our fire deck against the fire club and forcing our way through, picking up some new cards as we go. Since fire types rely on using discards to compensate for their strong attacks, energy removals work wonders here. Hopefully you can get some by the time you want to come here.
Sentinels of Earth Prime - Siren Beneath the Sea Unlock
This is by far my least favorite of the unlocks. The enemy is Spite since he can be easy to neutralize. Environment is somewhat moot since he destroys it immediately, so just pick something that doesn't have a secondary effect to mess with you.
We have TL here to play a bunch of cards, pick them up, and repeat. Her power can give Siren the draws she needs to find her Weather Effects and get the other needed cards in play.
For Siren, we need both Loas in play, to use the powers on 9 different weather effects, and mitigate something like 50 damage from weather effects via Loa. Super tedious...
Captain Cosmic is here to increase the number of targets. With some help from Visionary and Cosmic Crest, his constructs are completely indestructible. From there, I just need to get more and more of them out for Siren.
Grandpa Legacy is here for his usual utility. His power gives more power plays to either give Siren card draws or power plays to get everything done.
Finally, Visionary is here for the immunity tricks. Twist the Ether can turn all of Spite's damage into a single type to be blocked by Lead from the Front/Next Evo and she can help supply card draws and extra pickups around the field. As a kicker, she has the ability to Levitate away from the environment, making it even more of a nonfactor.
Now, with this video, I am done with Earth Prime until the first (and only?) expansion comes out. At which time I will probably try to showcase the new content and then unlock the rest of the variants.

Tyrion Cuthbert: Attorney of the Arcane - Case 1: The Coldhearted Aristocrat - Part 1
I saw this on Steam and grabbed it to give a try. As of right now, I have only played the first case, but if there is interest, I can do more.
In this part, we are introduced to Tyrion and his world and get our first case where we must prove a mercenary innocent of killing her father. However, much like Ace Attorney, the only way to get your acquittal here is to prove the guilt of someone else. So we need to go around and pick up the pieces so we can build our trap in the courtroom.
Pokemon Trading Card Game - Part 1: Intro & Grass Club
Due to the heat wave we got hit with, I couldn't bring myself to fire up a RPG, so I decided to try something different. Note that I do have this on GB, and I can play my GB version on the operator, so if I have bad luck getting the cards I want/need, I can default to that.
Here, I opt to start with the fire deck (a rarity, I know), because fire is a fairly strong type in this game. It revolves around discarding energy cards for extra damage, but it will usually have enough power to one-shot many common enemies. Water is very energy intensive, so I don't like starting with that, plus they did the entire Squirtle line dirty in this game. Grass needs a lot of trainer card support, so I don't want to start with that either.
With our fledging fire deck in hand, we set foot into the Grass Club to try to take advantage of our typing. As a result, we are able to burn through them fairly quickly and nab our first medal. Sadly, I need to do an extra match against each trainer here since we are very limited for cards. I will do the grinding off camera to try to keep things a little entertaining for you guys.
As for this project, this is something I want to do when I want to relax and have down time. It is not going to be a priority project, so I want people to manage expectations accordingly. And maybe, just maybe, we can get Crimson or some of the other Stormbringers to play this in PVP.
