Misty (practice/Progress) Using my Ibanez AM153QA
I can't believe I have been practicing this chord melody for years now and still missing notes, not plucking strings accurately the way I want it to sound. There is also the element of whenever I hit that record button, I get nervous. Need to work on that! I'll keep practicing until I'm certain it sounds exactly the way I hear it in my head. Thanks for watching folks! Cheers!

Gift to Anica, my niece! Squier FSR Bullet Telecaster Limited Edition in Metallic Purple
Watch this guitar showcased at Andertons https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7g0ZLy6_BzA&t=674s
This is a lovely Squier FSR Bullet Telecaster, original owner, purchased across the pond from Anderton’s, a limited edition run modeled on Danish Pete’s ‘51 purple tele. There’s one nick on the treble horn otherwise a pretty clean ax. The pickups have been swapped for Monty’s Danish Pete signature 51T set and full size 250K pots installed with a new 3-position switch and new jack with an electrosocket jack cup.

Progress On Funk Guitar Rhythm (Donner Compression Pedal)
Dedicated a few days on funk guitar rhythm. Here I am using just my fingers as I feel the pick slows me down with those 16th beats. I still have to practice using the thin pick and get faster as the secret of good funk beat is that fast syncopated rhtymic pattern. A long ways to go but one of my favorite genres to work on.
New Guitar Strap (Dedicated to my Dad)
I had this strap custom made to honor my Dad who gave me this guitar when I came home from Desert Storm in 1990. He passed away in 2007. It is my #1 guitar. It's an RJ Guitar Made in the Philippines. Pick ups died on me last year and so I installed a Lollar Charlie Christian set and could.t be happier with the result!

Guitars Reunited Confessions of a Guitar Addict & The Winner Is...
Reunited with two guitars I regretted selling and the winner is still my main guitar no matter what.
Practicing A minor Pentatonic Scale
Happy Wednesday! Only a short video on how I practice scales. I usually start at the open position. I then go each pattern first up and down. Here I am in the 2nd exercise where I go from one pattern to the next alternating ascending and descending etc. I usually use this as a warm up exercise.

Verdict's In On Restoring This Guitar
Thanks again for your comments in my previous post that helpped me reflect and come to a decision!
Having Work Done on My Guitar
Hi Frineds! Happy Friday! As I stated in the veo, I'm taking my guitar to Kern tomorrow at 11am to discuss body restoration, paiont or hand rubbed. This is the guitar my Dad gave me many years ago and is one of 2 solid guitars left in my stable. She will be my main one! Kern is the lithier of Lucki Pic Guitar Repairs. Here's the link to his website: http://www.luckypickguitars.com/
Let me know your thoughts on this as well!
Chord Melody Update (Utilizing the Conti Method)
Folks, it has not even been a day (literally only 4 hours total) using the Robert Conti "Chrod Melody Assembly Line" course and I have already started working on my own arrangement of "Alice In Wonderland", a jazz standard I was not even familiar with until today. Really excited about the whole thing and what the end result will be once I give it my own spin.
Practicing The C Major Chord Group
This is from Robert Conti's course The Chord Melody Assembly Line! Highly recommended. Here's the link https://www.robertconti.com/product/chord-melody-assembly-line/
This will get you to arrange and play chord melodies right away! Oh and I forgot to mention that there are some chords here that due to the limitastions I have with my fingers on some of them, I had to eliminate some notes but made sure I did hit the essential ones. Examples of this wherein I had to adjust were the Dm7 by the 10th fret (eliminated the 6th string) and the C69#11 by the 14th fret (eliminated the 5th string). Once I get these down path I am sure I will find a way to include those eliminated strings. Right now I just want to get the gist of it. Cheers!
Just for Fun Friday (Try to guess what I am working on here)
Put it in the comment section. Some of you may get the answer just be listening to it!
My Only Go-To Guitar From Here On!
Reconnecting with that one instrument! I feel liberated and it feels so good!
They say never say never but for now I have no intentions to buy another guitar. Lets see how long I can last!
Sound Test #2 of the kna Piazzo.
The first test of this piazzo when I introduced it to you via live podcast was a bit distorted as I was using the wrong mic or the mic was too close to the amp. This time around I switched mics and distanced it a few inches back fro the amp. I think this is a clearer or better representation of the kna Piazzo!
kna Detachable Passive Piazo Pick-up Solution (Trying this LIVE for the first time)
Trying Live for the first time! Just a short live video of me reviewing this product. Very awesome piazo at a very reasonable price of $69 at Amazon. Oh and this is not an advertisement and the company is not paying me for this. This is merely my personal review. I give it a 10+ rating!!!

A Song For You (Original Recorded in Manila in 1994) Arrangement by me, by ear!
https://www.facebook.com/cvdacosta/videos/10210369444046908
The band were a bunch of session musicians. The back up singer is a friend of mine who is a professional singer in the Philippines so she could only sing a few lines as she was afraid she might get in trouble if the agent heard it. LOL! I was singing the song. Hope you like it.
Oh thats my wife and son when he was a baby....
Flamenco - Habla Me (Cover) Gypsy Kings - Rythm Practice
The music I am playing to is actually a cover by by Arif DenizToker on his YT Channel. I used his cover to practice my rhthm. The link to his rendition is here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3bx7I5RtsKk
Here I am practicing the accents whichg is the part that you do not hear the chord when I strike it but rather here a percussive sound made on the strings by abruptly muting some of the downwar strum 4th beat with the outside of my thumb palm area. You want it to sound like a snare drum....
So far I am loving this flamenco!

Flamenco - My 1st Lesson Seguiriyas
I am starting my Flamenco lessons learning Segiriyas which is the basic and very daramtic/emotional rhythm in flamenco music used for the cante jondo. I willbe practicing this for a month or more depending on how quick I get the emotion behind the chords down,
Apologies since I forgot to set the mike close when I started. Just adjust your volumes.
How I Am Learning Jazz Guitar
My training focuses on chords, scales, arpeggios and everything in between.....
