What is contemplative prayer? Contemplative prayer sounds good at the beginning. The idea is to empty your mind so that you can be closer to God. Who wouldn’t want that! However, emptying your mind is one of the dangerous things you can do. Why? Because it leaves room for all different kinds of things and spirits to enter your mind. As it says in Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
