On Jetty Island in Port Gardner Bay, off the Everett waterfront, people fly numerous kites in the high wind. Boats come and go into the marina.

Mark Myking and his band, Zydeco Low Down, performed Friday night June 17 at the FestHalle in Leavenworth, Washington. Their music, while hard to understand lyrics, had the audience dancing in the aisles, by design.

Ivy on her accordion, Nelia on her mandolin, literally stole the show, at the 2022 Leavenworth (WA) International Accordion Celebration. They entered the Accordion Artistry category, where they did this delightful song, Ripple. If this does not bring a smile, and maybe tears to your eyes, then you have no heart.

The vultures seem to be circling in time to the accordion music being played in the gazebo in downtown Leavenworth.

We have a pair of Downy Woodpeckers who visit our suet feeder. Here's the male, getting his Sunday breakfast.

We have a pair of Red-breasted Nuthatches, and this week they are feeding their fledgling at our seed and suet feeders. The baby sits in the vine maple tree, and mom and dad bring him seeds and bits of suet. While the Juncos come and go in the tree, too.

Sunday morning in the backyard. Three squirrels (see if you can spot them all), Juncos, Red-breasted Nuthatches (two parents and one fledgling) all partaking of the seed and suet feeders.

Our 15-gallon aquarium has three Black Neon Tetra fish. The little waterfall which replenishes the oxygen in the tank makes a pretty burble sound, which gets louder as the water level drops. It's very relaxing to watch the fish swim, and listen to the soothing sound of the bubbler.

We were headed west on US 2, and we crossed Banks Lake, one of the reservoirs created by the Grand Coulee Dam on the Columbia River. The clouds were spectacular in the blue sky, too.

Near Green River, Wyoming, we admired the beautiful bluffs. And also the long train, carrying Wyoming coal to market.

Driving along the highway, just outside of Tri Cities in Eastern Washington. This was Easter Sunday, and the Blue Mountains in the distance were still covered with snow. It was quite a contrast with the dry terrain.

On our road trip to Colorado, we passed through these mountains, where there was still snow, and winds of up to 45mph.

In the Narbeck Wetland Sanctuary in Everett, Washington, I stood on a boardwalk and listened to the sound of Nature's Original Music-a trickling stream passing under the boardwalk.

A week before Christmas, shoppers thronged the Bellevue (WA) Square Mall. But if memory serves, there were many fewer people there than in past years. It only took us a few minutes to find a parking place in the garage. And nearly 100% of the shoppers wore their mandated masks. I found that depressing. I was not masked.

New this year is a huge digital display that shoppers can "wave" at and make fun things happen in the screen. Both kids and adults were making it snow and causing all sorts of light-shows.

A little flock of common bushtits visited our suet feeders this morning, for their after-Thanksgiving snack.
