Revisited the Brock Monument with the three youngest (the oldest was still recovering from Trippin the Niagara). After watching the re-enactment we went up to the monument of General Sir Isaac Brock who fell at the Battle of Queenston Heights.

Going through the streets of Queenston on our way to Queenston Heights Battlefield. The Americans attacked Queenston on October 12th,1813. The British led by General sir Isaac Brock successfully pinned down the Americans on the banks in front of Queenston but later got behind the British by scaling the heights via an old fishing path. We climb up Queenston Heights, walking the bikes up the steepest part until we come up onto the Plateau. On top is the Brock Monument commemerating Brock's Death and the British Victory over the Americans on October 12th, 1812. All to the tune of Canadian Irish Folk Band The Town Pants

Finally finished collecting the 1976 O-PEE-CHEE Hockey card set. This set was the last to feature the Kansas City Scouts and Oakland Seals. It was the first set to feature Bryan Trottier and Dave Tiger Williams

Movin on from Brown's Point where the British under Brock had a battery emplacement during the War of 1812, to A La Gallarie and on to Glencairn Hall before finally reaching the Village of Queenston. Continueing on down the Niagara on the Niagara Recreational Parkway. Beautiful for a bike ride and would look better in the Fall. Went past Field House, Brown's Point, and to the Chloe Cooley Historical Plaque that helped to limit slavery in Canada in 1793. All to the tunes of the Canadian Band Captain Tractor

Battle of Queenston Heights on 13th of October 1812, pitted the British-Canadian forces under general Brock against the American Invasion of General Stephen Van Rensselaer. This year marks the 210th anniversary of the battle. Re-enactors came from across Ontario and the States to partake in this epic recreation. Not as big as the 200th anniversary, they still put on a fine show.

The ride progresses from McFarland House, Niagara-on-the-Lake down the Niagara Recreational Parkway to around Van De Laar Orchards. All to the music of the Canadian Band - Acres of Lions. So sit back enjoy the music and the ride.

Biking the Niagara from Navy Hall just below the hill at Fort George before finally getting on the Niagara Parkway Recreational Trail. Music by the Collectors (who later became Chilliwack).

Tearin down Front Street, Niagara-on-the-Lake past Queen's Royal Park, up Wellington St and across Byron St. before finally back down on Ricardo street to the back entrance to NAvy Hall. Saw the First Newspaper 1793 and Butler's Rangers.All to music of Great Big Sea

Starting at Mississauga Beach, Lake Ontario, Niagara-on-the Lake and heading to Fort Erie on Lake Erie. Stopped at Fort Mississauga and other historical sites on the way. Music by the Arrogant Worms

scored another lot of OPC cards from the mid 70's that include some hall of famers, WHA and probably the best hockey card photo curtesy of Phil Roberto.

On our trip to Chicago we stopped at the Home Alone House. Too bad they do not have tours of the house or even a sign post outside. People do go there to take a picture of the House.

Belmont born & bred, Brian Willsie returns to his hometown with the Stanley Cup. Brian works in a player development role for the Colorado Avalanche and was allowed to have the Cup for part of the day. He once played for Avs, as well as, with the Kings & Capitals.

Went to the Art Institute and found as many of the paintings that were featrured in Ferris Bueller's Day Off as possible (missed one or two for sure). Also went down Dearborn Street to see the Red Flamingo where the parade scene was filmed. OST

While in Chicago visited the biggest Starbucks in the world. 4 Floors dedicated to drinking Coffee though on the last floor you can get alcohol. Food was great. All to the tune of "Starbuck Sucks" (x3) by Sewing with Nancy

Stayed at the iconic Blackstone in Chicago. It has been in business since 1909.

Managed to score 24 OPEECHEE WHA cards for the 1977-78 set from ebay. These cards are in great shape and really do capture the time where there was an upstart league to the NHL.

Stopped in Frankenmuth Michigan just to check out this little piece of Bavaria in Michigan, as well as, the biggest Christmas village in the US

Forensic Card Grading just sent back my 1980 Ray Bourque OPC RC. Let's see if it made the Grade.

Finally received my Wayne Gretzky Rookie Card back from Foprensic Card Grading. It went on an epic journey as there was a mix up on the return. FCG did a great job in correcting the error.

Ottawa did a nice tribute to Guy Lafleur prior to the 1st period between the Montreal Canadians and the Ottawa Senators.

Went through Ebay to buy the missing cards to my OPEECHEE 1979-80 Hockey card set. This is the one that had Wayne Gretzky's Rookie Card.
