July 5th, 1814, American Forces under General Winfield Scott scored a tactical victory over the British forces led by Maj General Phineas Riall at the Battle of Chippewa. Riall mistook the Americans Regulars for militia due to the grey coats instead of the regulation Blue. Battlefield is in pristine condition.

The last segment on an epic bike ride along the Niagara River (the battery ran out on my gopro). We made it to the 46km mark and would continue on to fort Erie for 73 kms total.

Biking from Horseshoe Falls all the way to the Old Scow. Hit the 43.5 km mark. Nice leiesurely ride all to the tune of Men Without Hats.

Finally made it to Niagara Falls. Biked along the canadian side of the Falls, dodging people as we went. All to the Music of The Band (The Weight, Up on Cripple Creek and The shape I'm In)

Coming off Queenston Heights we continued back on the Niagara River Recreational Trail toward the Lewiston-Queenston Bridge to the United States. Biking past the Floral Clock and the Power station towards the Butterfly Conservatory. All to the music of Thundermug.

Biked around Brock's Monument, as well as, the Monument of Nations dedicated to the First Nations who fought in the War of 1812. All to the Music of The Kings "Switchin to Glide", "This Beat Goes on" & "All the Way"

Last stop on our tour, the Battle of Stoney Creek. During the war of 1812, a British victory over an American force fought on 6 June 1813, during the War of 1812 near present-day Stoney Creek, Ontario stopped the American thrust and forced them back to Ft George.

Visited the memorial for the Battle of Beaversdam (June 24, 1813) where a foce of Indigenous Natives forced the surrender of 500 Americans. This also launched the legend of Laura Secord, who walked from her home in Queenston to warn the British at DeCew House.

Went to find the site for the Battle of Cooks Mills site of the last battle fought in the Niagara during the War of 1812 on19 October 1814. We discovered that they are 2 sites for this battle.

We went down the escarpment to the Redan Battery and close to the site where General Brock was mortally wounded trying to retake the gun from the Americans.
