Decimals 01 Multiplication Introduction
I keep talking to lots of classes and also my grandkids about multiplying decimals and I keep seeing the same errors and misunderstandings. Even today I took someone else's year 7 Maths class and very few students could accurately multiply very simple decimals. I have been 'dreaming' about how I could make this video and I am very happy with the end result. By the way, many many older students (and adults) could find this helpful.

Math Discrete 03 Prob Distn Table Expected Values Grade 12
Discrete Probability Distributions cause difficulty for many students and this content specifically covers discrete data from a Table of Values and calculating the average or Expected Value.
After 40 years of enjoyable and rewarding teaching, I still love and continue to teach. It still amazes me how I continue to still think of better ways of teaching mathematical concepts and I also continue to discover methods of explaining things that help students 'better' understand and become more successful at remembering the concepts.
A word of warning from what I have repeatedly seen over the years - most of my videos are placed in a logical or reasonably sequential order and if you watch the first or second video in a playlist and feel comfortable with the concepts, please go to the last video in the playlist to check if you really are okay. Each video in a playlist usually becomes progressively more complex and the 'latter' or 'last' video will often contain common assessment questions where students are known to make errors.
I also often include some revision / consolidation / mixture videos in the playlist which I know are crucial to assist with student success in assessments.
I hope that you find this very helpful and a blessing in your studies.

This is a second simple example where many students misunderstand and make simple errors. Discrete Probability Distributions are covered in the many countries with Grade 12 students. This content specifically covers discrete data from a Table of Values.

Math Discrete 01 Prob Distn Table Grade 12
Discrete Probability Distributions are covered in many Grade 12 courses around the world. This content specifically covers discrete data from a Table of Values. So many students struggle with Probability and this is a fairly simple introduction with Discrete Probabilities.

Math Area 06 More Trapeziums Trapezoids
I created this video for and with some of my year 8 students. Trapeziums/trapezoids cause so many problems for students that I created this further video which deals with some of the ways that we can change the appearance of the shape, which causes students to make mistakes in assessments.
Sorry about the visuals - I was experimenting with using a data projector, but I still decided to keep the video.

Math Graphing Set B 07 Transformations Part 2 Dilations and Functions
This is part two of my lesson on Transforming Graphs.
Many students struggle with transforming graphs. Basically moving them up and down, left and right, reflections and ‘stretching’ them out – called dilations. This is my fun way of talking about it and helping students to better understand and remember the concepts.

Math Graphing Set B 05 Circle Equation Centre and Radius By Completing the Square Short Cut
Repeated revision and consolidation are so important to student success. This is a brief video in just repeating the basics of the Equation and details of graphing a circle. If they struggle with the Algebra involved with 'Completing the Square' it causes students to doubt their understanding. I have especially produced a separate video on 'Completing the Square' for this purpose.
After 40 years of enjoyable and rewarding teaching, I still love and continue to teach. It still amazes me how I continue to still think of better ways of teaching mathematical concepts and I also continue to discover methods of explaining things that help students 'better' understand and become more successful at remembering the concepts.
