Mitch McConnell is looking for a compromise on gun control.
I'm Peter Serefine with today's Liberty Minute.
Republican Senate minority leader McConnell said yesterday,
“What I’ve asked Senator Cornyn to do is to meet with the Democrats who are interested in getting a bipartisan solution and come up with a proposal, if possible, that’s crafted to meet this particular problem,”
This particular problem is a society without God.
This particular problem is the mental health of a nation where over half the population is on pharmaceuticals.
This particular problem is generations without responsibility or consequences.
This problem is people divided by partisan hate driven by Washington DC.
The problem is politicians who think more laws will work where a gun-free zone sign fails.
No gun law can ever be proposed to meet "this particular problem."

I'm Peter Serefine with today's Liberty Minute.
Bernie Sanders, AOC, and 40 other Democrats asked Google to stop collecting location data so 'far-right extremists' can't use it to identify who has had an abortion
So it was Okay to collect location data and use it to identify anyone who was in Washington DC on January 6th.
It was fine to use location data to try to tie spring break and Sturgis to non-existent covid outbreaks.
It is perfectly acceptable to use location data sometimes when it is politically expedient.
This location data should be private…period.
If the government or anyone else wants to know where you have been, they should be required to either get a warrant or follow you like a good old-fashioned gumshoe detective.
If you didn't post the information publicly, it should not be available to anyone.

Nineteen children and two adults are dead in the Texas school shooting.
I'm Peter Serefine with today's Liberty Minute.
As we can expect after a mass shooting, gun control advocates immediately restart their push for more gun laws.
These mass shooters are already violating several laws. More gun laws will just be more laws these criminals break.
Here are some things that the gun control pushers always seem to ignore:
Murder is already illegal
Shooting at people is already illegal
Schools are already "gun-free zones."
To illustrate that point, school shootings have skyrocketed since making schools "gun-free zones."
The moral fabric of our Republic has been shredded. The mental health of our citizens is crumbling. Hateful division is everywhere.
It is time to bring back the nuclear family, faith, morality, and mental health. Those things can fix everything.

Biden actually praised high gas prices.
I'm Peter Serefine with today's Liberty Minute.
As proof of just how out of touch Washington DC is, Resident Biden explained the green energy plan.
In a meeting yesterday, Biden said, “[When] it comes to the gas prices, we’re going through an incredible transition that is taking place that, God willing, when it’s over, we’ll be stronger, and the world will be stronger and less reliant on fossil fuels when this is over,”
Resident Biden went on to praise himself for being able to “keep it from getting worse — and it’s bad.”
Only after his admission of the planned price hikes to usher in so-called green energy and his self-congratulations did he pay some lip service to the millions of Americans forced to pay thousands more to fill up their cars and heat their homes.

Yesterday, in Washington DC, a career politician said something really stupid.
I'm Peter Serefine with today's Liberty Minute.
Experts agree that ignorance and stupidity have crossed all party lines. For example, one career politician who wished to remain anonymous said, "As soon as I arrived in Washington DC, I forgot all of my campaign promises and honestly couldn't remember why my constituents elected me."
Studies have shown that politicians at the federal level almost immediately become deficient in common sense. As a result, the simple task of distinguishing a man or woman can become difficult and fiscal responsibility comes to mean spending more than the last guy.
Known as Swamp Rat Syndrome, scientists say SRS becomes worse with time. Every day spent in DC eats away at the logic center of the politician’s brain, making common sense thinking less and less possible.
The only known cure for SRS is ending reelection.

Elon Musk is enemy number one to the Biden administration.
I'm Peter Serefine with today's Liberty Minute.
A few months ago, Biden held a meeting about electric cars, but didn't include Elon Musk, the man who sold more electric vehicles than all other companies combined.
The S&P 500 dropped Tesla over their ESG score. The electric car company has a bad Environment Social Government score.
Yesterday, the Biden administration named Musk an anti-labor billionaire, presumably because Tesla isn't unionized.
Could all of this be just because he is buying Twitter and exposing the bias?
Elon should be the darling of the left. He is an African-American immigrant who became the richest man in the world by producing electric cars.
Oh wait, he is white and isn't "woke." Nevermind. None of that other stuff matters.
To the left, you're either woke, or you're a terrorist.

The CDC said yesterday that a third of Americans should consider masks as case counts of covid rise again. I'll consider a mask; consider it a waste of time and money.
Biden is finally doing something about the baby formula shortage. Three months ago, the company that manufactured 40% of the baby formula in the US shut down, but the federal government didn't do anything about it until store shelves were empty for weeks.
Record high gas prices, supply chain issues, empty store shelves, soaring housing costs, and yesterday the stock market plunged. Huh, maybe this inflation isn't transitory. Maybe the market is starting to react to the creation of nearly $8 trillion over the past two years.
It may be time to look into an emergency food supply. I recommend preparewithmojo50.com

I'm Peter Serefine with today's Liberty Minute.
After spending all day yesterday at the polls for the Pennsylvania primary election, I am more convinced than ever that the primary process is partisan just for the sake of being partisan.
I was surprised by the number of independent voters who showed up just to be turned away because we have closed primaries in Pennsylvania.
I find it odd that the voters' political party affiliation is called out for everyone present to hear.
I still believe that the government should have nothing to do with primaries at all. Primary elections are how private organizations choose their candidates. Government should not be involved until the general elections.
The entire primary process is nothing but a system put in place by Democrats and Republicans to maintain their control and the illusion of a two-party system.

Today is primary day in Pennsylvania.
I'm Peter Serefine with today's Liberty Minute.
Here in Pennsylvania, the primary has become quite interesting. Trump has endorsed Dr. Oz for the US Senate and went as far as to disparage the other Republican candidates.
The leading Democrat candidate for that US Senate seat had a stroke over the weekend.
If you watch this in video format, you can see that I am wearing a uniform. This is because I am a Pennsylvania State Constable, and election days are essential to Constables.
The only mandatory job of a Pennsylvania State Constable is to guard the polls on election day. I make sure everyone is allowed to vote, and there is no voter intimidation.
I will be bouncing between the five polling locations in my little town for the 13 hours the polls are open today.

The office of the President could gain new powers.
I'm Peter Serefine with today's Liberty Minute.
Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi announced the “Consumer Fuel Price Gouging Prevention Act,” which would grant Biden the power to “issue an emergency energy declaration making it unlawful to increase gas and home energy prices in an exploitative and excessive way…"
Rather than reverse the failed energy policies of the political left, the speaker wants to grant new "emergency powers" to the President.
Over the past two years, We The People have seen how the government abuses emergency powers.
Would anyone be surprised if a president were to use new emergency power to further cripple the energy industry for the sake of their green energy movement?
We need limits to the existing emergency powers and more checks and balances.

Mass Graves were found in the United States.
I'm Peter Serefine with today's Liberty Minute.
The Interior Department has identified 408 boarding schools for indigenous children that operated in 37 US States and territories.
These schools were set up to assimilate indigenous children into American society. American Indian children were taken from their parents and sent to these schools for nearly a hundred years.
Some of these boarding schools were operated by the federal government and others were run by churches and funded by the federal government.
So far, 53 mass burial sites holding 500 or more indigenous children have been identified.
Unmarked mass Graves on American soil. That is disgusting, but it should not be surprising considering other atrocities our government has committed.
Remember this the next time the federal government tries to help by doing anything for 'the greater good'.

The CDC says gun deaths were up 35% in 2020.
I'm Peter Serefine with today's Liberty Minute.
Yes, you heard me correctly. The Center for DISEASE Control and Prevention reported on firearms deaths. 2020 had the highest rate since 1994.
Gun violence is a crime. It would make a lot more sense if the FBI reported on shooting deaths.
Maybe, since firearm is in their name, the ATF should be producing this report.
Why is the CDC reporting on anything that is not a disease? This is how gun violence will become the next Public Health Crisis that the CDC will seize unconstitutional power to combat.
What will the CDC claim as their next domain to conquer? Traffic fatalities and aviation deaths?
Why do we even need the FBI, ATF, DOT, or FAA. Just let the CDC do it all.

Biden "strongly condemned" firebombing pro-lifers.
I'm Peter Serefine with today's Liberty Minute.
Someone threw a molotov cocktail into the office of a pro-life group in Wisconsin. The official Whitehouse statement said, “President Biden strongly condemns this attack and political violence of any stripe."
First of all, the official statement? Resident Biden couldn't comment himself?
Second, someone throws a firebomb. This administration "strongly condemns" the action, but speak out to a school board against Critical Race Theory in elementary school, and you're a domestic terrorist.
The MAGA movement is the most extreme political group our country has ever seen.
Defend yourself during a riot, and you're a racist.
January 6th, attendees are held under the jail without due process for attacking democracy itself.
Fire bombing a pro-lifer is strongly condemned.
This administration is a partisan blend of hyperbole and hypocrisy

Republicans are "disinformers."
I'm Peter Serefine with today's Liberty Minute.
Nina Jankowicz, who was appointed to lead the Disinformation Governance Board, recently said, “Critical race theory has become one of those hot-button issues that the Republicans and other disinformers, who are engaged in disinformation for profit, frankly, … have seized on,”
What, "Republicans and other disinformers"? So, all Republicans are disinformers, according to the Disinformation Governance Board.
Jankowicz went on to praise left-leaning NPR and PBS because they “provide a balanced, nonpartisan source of information.”
Don't worry. The government would never attempt to regulate what can or can't be said for political control. This is a non-partisan group only interested in the truth. You're too dumb to figure out the truth for yourself. Government is here to help.

Will Trump save the Republican Party
I'm Peter Serefine with today's Liberty Minute.
In primary elections held this week, former President Trump endorsed 55 Republican candidates.
All 55 of those candidates won their primaries, proving that Trump is still the most influential man in the Republican party.
Trump did some great things as President, but he is still only one man. Don't rely on the endorsement of one man. Trump has endorsed some candidates that I just don't trust. His influence should be concerning. How can we be sure Trump is still endorsing candidates for the right reasons?
No one man can save our republic. We need hundreds of people elected who believe in our constitution.
From Inspector of Elections to President of the United States, vet every candidate yourself. Do the research. Saving our country from our government is worth the effort.

The so-called student loan crisis is the government's fault.
I'm Peter Serefine with today's Liberty Minute.
Let's look at a brief timeline of events.
In 1980 the federal Department of Education was created.
The Department of Education pushes the idea that only those who go to college have any chance at success in life.
Thirty years later, in 2010, the federal government took over the student loan program and began handing loans out like beads at a Mardi Gras parade in New Orleans.
The only winners in this timeline have been the colleges and universities that have dramatically increased the costs of degrees.
Now, in 2022, the government plans to do what it always does, make Joe Taxpayer pay for the problems the government caused.
Student loans should not be forgiven, but maybe the colleges should have to pay them.

One of the world's leading killer infections is on the rise in the US.
I'm Peter Serefine with today's Liberty Minute.
The number of tuberculosis (TB) infections in the United States was up 9% last year alone and is still on the rise this year.
Could that be because our federal government allowed two million people to enter the country illegally and then distributed those illegal aliens throughout the nation?
Or maybe because we couldn't focus on anything but covid last year?
Remember what the government did because of a virus with a less than 1% mortality rate. Well, tuberculosis is a disease actually worth worrying about. It has a mortality rate over 12%.
The US has not seen outbreaks like this of this highly infectious disease in nearly two decades….oh but covid is still out there.

Abortion may soon lose its federal protection.
I'm Peter Serefine with today's Liberty Minute.
Politico is reporting on a rare breach of US Supreme Court secrecy. Politico has obtained a draft majority opinion, written by Justice Samuel Alito, which says, "We hold that Roe and Casey must be overruled," and "It is time to heed the Constitution and return the issue of abortion to the people's elected representatives."
If this truly is the opinion of the court, it not only is a huge win for the right to life movement but also a huge win for state rights.
I'm not sure which is the bigger win. The federal government giving any power back to the states is almost unprecedented.
Don't get too excited yet. It may be two more months before the official ruling, and the justices still have time to change their votes.

I'm sure by now you've heard the Department of Homeland Security created The Disinformation Governance Board.
Copied from George Orwell's Ministry of Truth and the Chinese Communist Party, this is the worst attack on our freedom ever.
The evil of this board cannot be overstated. Everyone involved in its creation should be fired or removed from office.
Free Speech is the foundational bedrock of all other freedom. Ask yourself, without free speech, would slavery have ever ended? Could women vote? What about segregation and the Civil rights movement?
The freedom of speech is what makes America great and what gives us the potential to become even greater.

I'm Peter Serefine with the Liberty Minute for day 776 of 15 days to flatten the curve.
The Wuhan Flu Federal Emergency Declaration was renewed on February 18th by Resident Biden, but yesterday, Dr. Anthony Fauci said, "We are certainly, right now, in this country, out of the pandemic phase,"
So, the 15 days to flatten the curve started 776 days ago.
The CDC eviction moratorium lasted over a year before it was declared unconstitutional.
The public transit mask mandate lasted over two years before a judge struck it down.
The fight over mandating the emergency use of experimental vaccines continues in courts even after thousands of people have lost their jobs.
Is there any chance government spending in the name of coronavirus will end before 2030? Not if the progressives and fearmongers get their way.

The US Constitution is remarkable in many ways. In about 4500 words on four pages of parchment 55 men outlined a new form of government; the three branches, the powers of each, the people who will hold office, how they become office holders, and much more.
22 of those men, or 40%, were lawyers. They chose not to obfuscate the document with legalese and pages of clauses and conditions. They chose to write a document in language simple enough that we the people can read and understand it.
That was probably the last time a lawyer ever wrote anything simple. It was definitely the last time our federal government wrote anything with the understanding of we the people in mind.
Everything that comes out of Washington DC today is so convoluted that even the original intent is lost.

As soon as the news that Twitter is being sold to Elon Musk came out, several human rights groups raised concerns about hate speech.
Elon Musk considers himself a "free speech absolutist," while the Human Rights Watch statement said "freedom of expression is not an absolute right."
Amnesty International is worried about moderation, aka censorship of hate speech.
All of the groups expressing these concerns have forgotten that free speech is the foundational bedrock of all freedoms. Hate speech, misinformation, disinformation, and blatant lies are all protected free speech.
Personally, I hope the new community guidelines say something to the effect of speak your mind; just don't break the law.

90% or more of our federal government is unconstitutional. Let me explain.
The US Constitution clearly states that only Congress can pass laws.
Congress has created 440 federal departments and agencies, many of which have the power to write and enforce regulations.
Regulations that are enforceable with penalties are laws. Congress has delegated law-making authority to regulatory agencies, but there is no power to delegate that authority given in the Constitution. Thus, ALL regulatory agencies are unconstitutional.
It was Alexander Hamilton who said, "A sacred respect for the Constitutional Law is the vital principle, the sustaining energy of a free government."
Executive orders, mandates, and regulations do not respect constitutional law.

My fellow American patriots, I'm Peter Serefine, and this is today's Liberty Minute.
Both sides of the political aisle agree our nation needs criminal justice reform. We may disagree on what that looks like, but one idea made the news yesterday.
The Tennessee legislature passed a bill Wednesday that would require drunk drivers to pay child support.
The legislation, which has yet to be signed into law, requires DUI drivers convicted of either vehicular homicide or aggravated vehicular homicide due to intoxication to pay child support if a parent killed in a crash has any minor children. The payments would continue until each child reaches 18 years old and graduates from high school.
This may be one of the most appropriate punishments the government has ever handed out.
Criminal justice reform needs more ideas like this. Ideas that benefit society and/or pay restitution to victims.
