Receiving the Holy Spirit & Hope Bible Study Verses:
•
Receiving the Holy Spirit
◦ Baptism
▪ Acts 2:38 → Baptism is necessary to receive the Holy Spirit.
•
While baptism may not be strictly necessary for salvation (i.e. due to extenuating
circumstances like being on a deathbed), it is recommended for all Christians to be
baptized in order to receive the Holy Spirit.
▪ Acts 5:32 → The Holy Spirit is given to those that obey God.
▪ John 3:5 → It is necessary to be born of Spirit to enter into the kingdom of God
▪ Romans 15:13 → The Holy Spirit can fill us with hope.
▪ Romans 8:14 → Those who are led by the Holy Spirit are sons of God.
▪ 1 Corinthians 2:10 → The Holy Spirit teaches us about God.
▪ Ephesians 5:18 → We are called to be filled with the Holy Spirit, not the sins of this
world.
▪ 1 Corinthians 6:19 → We are the temples of the living God and the Holy Spirit can
abide in us.
▪ 1 John 4:1-4 → We are told to test the spirits, that we should not be led by a false spirit.
We should seek to be led by the Holy Spirit.
▪ Isaiah 63:10, Ephesians 4:30-32 → Do not grieve the Holy Spirit: obey the Holy Spirit
and keep God’s commandments. God commanded us to love Him and each other.

Fasting Bible Study Verses:
• Fasting
◦ https://www.openbible.info/topics/fasting
◦ Fasting is a form of sacrifice
▪ When most people think of fasting, they think of not eating anything.
• 1 Corinthians 7:1-5 → While that is true, fasting that doesn’t involve food can also include giving up or sacrificing activities, pleasure, comforts, etc. before Jesus in order to give Jesus more of our time and dedication.
◦ For this reason, fasting in even the smallest parts of our lives is necessary as many people have idols and aren’t truly seeking God.
◦ Luke 16:10 → Even giving up one meal for God is good and at least something, as God cares about how we act in the little things as much as we do in the big things, as both of these involve where our heart is.
• When we willingly give up food or anything else for the Lord Jesus Christ, He pays attention.
◦ Isaiah 58:3-12, Daniel 9:3-4 → Repentance and obeying God should be done as well.
• Romans 12:1-2 → Fasting is important as we are called to be living sacrifices before Jesus Christ.
◦ While fasting isn’t the only way to sacrifice, it is one of the more important ones demonstrated continually throughout the Bible and promotes discipline.
◦ Fasting helps cleanse ourselves and is one of the spiritual weapons we have in tandem with prayer
▪ Matthew 17:21, Matthew 8:3, Acts 13:3
◦ Fasting in the Bible is often in combination with repentance as a way of genuinely seeking God
▪ Psalm 69:10, Nehemiah 1, Jonah 3
◦ Luke 18:9-14, Matthew 6:16-18 → Keep in mind to avoid attitudes of pride or self-righteousness when fasting, and also to avoid publishing that you are fasting (for the attention of other men)
▪ I believe there may be exceptions where you can tell people you are fasting if they ask first, and for example if it is deemed necessary to tell your family if you share meals together.
• Generally, your intention does matter to God, and if you are fasting for God’s reward, then it is best to keep it secret.
• Galatians 5:18-25 → Again, we are to be led by the Holy Spirit, and not under the law, so we shouldn’t fall into legalism with Christianity (as Christ came to free us of the burden of the law as He fulfilled it, but we still should keep His commands).

◦ Romans 6:22 → Holiness is not automatic
◦ 2 Corinthians 7:1 → Holiness is about purification
◦ 1 Peter 1:15-16 → God is holy, so we are called to be holy
◦ Romans 12:1 → Living Sacrifice = Holiness
▪ Additional verses: bearing our crosses to the Lord → Matthew 10:34-39 (38), Matthew 16:24-26, Luke 14:24-33, Galatians 5:16-26 (24)
◦ Ephesians 5:3 → Be blameless before the Lord that you may be holy
▪ John 4:23-24 → God is a spirit and wants us to worship Him in spirit and in truth.
◦ Summary of what to do as to become holy and not fall into mediocrity:
▪ Guidelines I wrote for my community:
▪ 1) Read your Bible. Read it daily. Make time for God to absorb His word. If you love God, keep His commandments and obey Him.
2) Ask God what your sins are in prayer. Repent of your sins. God values our repentance more than empty worship as obedience is the highest form of worship. Be blameless before God, so castigate yourself now by God telling you your sins that you may repent than be thrown into hellfire in prayer.
3) Pray frequently and often. Pray to be equipped in the armor of God. Pray to have the blood of Jesus poured upon you to forgive your sins, to break any curses, to be healed of any trauma, etc. Whatever you can think of that is beneficial, ask it in accordance to God's will and He will give it to you. More than anything, pray to be filled with the Holy Spirit and to have your heart close and ready before the Lord.
4) Love one another. Love God and your neighbor as yourself. You can not say you love God while hating your brother. This is spoken of in 1st John. God is love, and we must love one another as this is what God commanded of us. Love does not mean "do whatever makes you happy". Love includes discipline, charity, generosity, and generally the fruits of the spirit spoken of in Galatians.
5) Repent of any false doctrine. Examine yourselves to see if you are in the faith (2 Cor 13:5).
6) Do what you can on a daily basis for the Lord. Ask Jesus, "What can I do for you today?", "How can I serve you?", "What can I do better?"
7) Seek first to love others, even your enemies, and the Lord will also bless you in turn. You can pray for yourself, but there is also much joy in praying for good things for others. This all ties back to the 2nd great commandment Jesus gave us which is to love your neighbor as yourself.
Matthew 5:19
▪ On top of those guidelines:
• Seek Jesus Christ and the truth, as Jesus is the truth (John 14:6).
• Remember to serve Jesus Christ and not men (Galatians 1:8-9).
• Bear your cross to the Lord (which largely means denying ourselves sin and pleasure)
• Listen to what the Two Witnesses say, help them, and encourage them as they are servants of the Lord spoken of in Revelation. I have linked their blog many times.
• Pray to be filled with the Holy Spirit, to have the blood of Jesus Christ poured on you for the forgiveness of your sins, to be brought to repentance, server the Lord, love others, to be equipped in the armor of God, to be healed of what you may be suffering, that no weapons of the enemy shall prosper against you, to have sanctuary in the Lord Jesus Christ, and to overcome your sins in Jesus’ name. (Not an exhaustive list, but those are all good things to pray for. Prayer is our weapon as outlined in Ephesians 6 with the sword of spirit.)

Repentance Bible Study verses:
• Sin
◦ James 4:17 → If you know how to do good but do evil, it is sin.
◦ James 4:1-10 → Ask and you shall receive, but many do not ask. Be humble before God and do not make yourselves friends with the world. Friendship with the world is enmity with God. Draw closer to God, and He will draw closer to you; purify your hearts.
◦ Luke 3:3 → Our sins are forgiven by God by faith in Jesus Christ through His grace of which we obtain our salvation.
▪ There is no other way to heaven, any other gospels are false; Christ is the only way to heaven (Galatians 1:8-9, John 14:6).
▪ Salvation can be lost if we willfully sin after accepting Christ (Hebrews 10:26-31).
• Therefore, repent of your sins that you may be forgiven of them (Acts 3:19).
• Repentance
◦ https://www.openbible.info/topics/repentance
◦ Romans 2:4 → God leads us to repentance through love.
◦ Revelation 3:19 → Those who God loves, He wants to repent.
◦ 2 Corinthians 7:10 → Godly sorrows leads to repentance that leads to salvation, worldly sorrow leads to death.
◦ Luke 5:32 → Jesus came to bring the sinners to repentance.
◦ 1 John 1:9 → Confess your sins to each other.
◦ Matthew 5:27-28, Matthew 15:11-20, Act 8:22 → We can sin in our hearts. Repent in your heart as well as of your deeds.
▪ Jeremiah 17:9-10 →God searches our hearts.
◦ Repentance is difficult, but our reward is in heaven and God is faithful to all of His promises and will be with us in everything we endure for Him. (Isaiah 43:2, Matthew 5:12, James 1:12)
▪ The fundamental issue is that most people aren’t trying and are apathetic, ignorant, or prideful.
▪ We are called to bear our cross to be disciples of Jesus Christ. Paul expands on this saying that we are essentially to deny our sinful desires of the flesh and be crucified in them denying ourselves and sacrificing that to God because we love Him and wish to walk after Him. (Matthew 10:38, Matthew 16:24, Luke 14:27, Galatians 5:24-25)
▪ Most people who call themselves Christian walk the broad path, staying in sin, mediocrity, not going after holiness, truth, and righteousness in God, our Lord, Jesus Christ. And many of these people will be thrown into hell because they could but would not repent of their sin and love God, keeping His commandments. (Matthew 7:21-23, Matthew 7:13-14, Matthew 25:31-46, John 14:15)
• Reality is that most people are going to hell for lack of repentance.
◦ I am trying to tell you all about this that you have been sufficiently forewarned to repent while the door is open because when you die you will not have another chance to repent.
◦ The Mark of the Beast and Repentance of it
▪ Establishment
• The covid vaccine (vax) is the mark of the beast as it changes human DNA out of the image of God, as these people’s bodies’ cells become spike protein factories (Genesis 1:26). Part of why we have seen so much heart disease, spike protein clots, and death after the vax was implemented.
◦ The vax is Biblically the mark of the beast as can be discerned by Revelation 6:2 with the white horse and bow. The bow in KJV strong’s concordance is the root word of “toxon”, and further verses indicate the delivery of the mark to be in a “palisade”-like delivery. Read the More Rational Worldview’s writing on covid and the mark of the beast for a more in-depth explanation of this establishment.
◦ The people will be deceived into taking the mark of the beast (Matthew 24:24, Revelation 18:23).
◦ Taking the mark of the beast is a sin as it removes us from the image of God and creates the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel. We are the temples of the living God, so taking the mark of the beast and being taken out of God’s image means that Jesus no longer abides in us as taking the mark of the beast is a sin. (2 Corinthians 6:16, Daniel 9:27, Daniel 11:31)
◦ Again, our salvation can be lost if we willfully sin, so anyone who has taken the mark should be repenting. Revelation says that it is not that they could not repent but would not repent of taking the mark of the beast. (Hebrews 10:26-31, Revelation 9:21, Revelation 16:9)
◦ God has given us prophets to warn us about what is happening. We are told about the Two Witnesses of Revelation which I believe are the Two Witnesses found here: https://twowitnessesofrevelation.com/blog
▪ They are prophets whose prophesies have consistently come true meaning they are from God. (Ezekiel 33, Revelation 11:1-10)
◦ Remember, people in the Bible have perished from a lack of knowledge. (Hosea 4:6)
▪ Repenting of the mark of the beast
• If you have taken the covid vaccine or any mRNA altering vaccine or otherwise put something inside you that has changed your DNA and wish to repent, then pray to Jesus Christ, repenting of taking the mark of the beast and plead Jesus’ blood over your body, mind, heart, soul, and DNA. Pray to be forgiven of your sin in repentance.
• As well, I would recommend contacting the Two Witnesses about the possibility of repentance at their email: the.2.witnesses@proton.me
◦ Two Witnesses have made note of the sores in Revelation 16:2 occuring.
