If you’re uninvolved in politics the rest of the year, stay uninvolved on Election Day. You’re not doing anyone any favors by dragging your 🍑 to the polls Voting RESPONSIBLY and FAIRLY takes effort (or at least it should). And I don’t mean insurmountable, discriminatory, or unreasonable effort; I am referring to the fact that it takes effort to be an informed and engaged citizen today—just like it takes effort to run free and fair elections. Owning a firearm is your right. That doesn’t mean everyone should go right now and buy a gun. Voting is your right . That doesn’t mean everyone should go vote. You have the right to do one or both, but do you know what you’re doing? If you’re wholly uneducated and ignorant about guns/gun safety, then you exercising your right to firearm ownership can be DESTRUCTIVE. But my goal in saying this isn’t less Americans with guns—it’s MORE-INFORMED Americans with more guns. Just like my goal isn’t less Americans voting—it’s more informed Americans more engaged in their communities, including voting. Puberty blockers aren’t reversible. They’re NOT FDA-approved for use in kids suffering from gender dysphoria. We are experimenting right now on these kids. Kids cannot consent. Blair Peters, a self-described “queer surgeon” who uses “he/they” pseudo-pronouns: “One thing that is very new is genital surgery in someone that has under[gone] pubertal suppression. Not so much an issue in someone with ‘assigned-female-at-birth’ anatomy, that undergoes a phalloplasty…but much bigger issue for an individual that’s undergoing a penile-inversion vaginoplasty. Because we use all of that [penile] tissue to create the vulva as well as line the internal vaginal canal….we’ve maybe done a couple, a handful [of these surgeries] on pubertal-suppressed adolescents…No one’s published on it yet…we’re learning and figuring out what works. But [pubertal suppression] is really changing things because you don’t have enough tissue to line the vaginal canal.” Translation: natal males who undergo puberty blockers are at risk of having their members stop developing and growing. This is obviously an issue for a boy who later decides he isn’t “trans,” but it’s also an issue for a male who decides as an adult to undergo bottom surgery in order to “affirm” his “gender.” Because of the use of puberty blockers in his youth, there isn’t enough penile tissue to shape the neo-“vagina.” This often results in surgeons having to perform a much more invasive and dangerous surgery—taking skin from the colon or abdomen. I know I’ve already commented on this silly version of #snowwhite. But the more I see, the sillier it seems. It’s a ridiculous combination of self-aggrandizing unserious-ness. And I just can’t keep myself from commenting. 🙊 We do a disservice to women when we treat or portray them exactly like men, in smaller, softer bodies. Obviously women can be the hero of an action story/movie (this isn’t exactly ground-breaking news😂). But women, *in general,* are more interested in love and relationships than they are in slaying dragons. Little girls are too. It’s almost like we try to beat this out of women—especially young women in their 20s. But nature always wins in the end (…sorta like true love always wins in the end of the fairytale 🥰). People are free to produce or consume the movies they like. But I for one am so sick of seeing our culture push an anti-family narrative on women, on everyone. It’s not nearly as ground-breaking as they portray it to be. And it’s also a self-destructive lie. I also really believe the pop culture we take in, has serious influences on us. I think narratives like the one #rachelzegler is pushing, are ultimately more destructive than a silly #disney movie might seem. If a man having sex with a “trans woman” isn’t gay, then by that logic, a man having sex with a very ugly, masculine-looking woman is gay. How masculine or feminine a person looks doesn’t determine whether an act is gay or straight. The sex of both parties determines whether it’s gay or straight. Further, how you personally identify doesn’t determine whether an act is gay or straight. We used to acknowledge this. Two men who engage with one another secretly and hide their true feelings while publicly identifying as straight, wouldn’t be called “straight” by most of us. I used to hate men. You can change and grow and heal. If you can kill for convenience a genetically-distinct human life in-utero, why can’t you do it ex-utero? Why is it suddenly, magically wrong to end the life of a newborn, who—like a fetus—can’t “survive on his own,” isn’t profoundly sentient, doesn’t have any deep consciousness, doesn’t “know the difference” between being dead or alive, doesn’t have anyone else relying on him for anything at all? The difference is merely the environment.
