NEW JEEP RECON EV 2024 #jeep #recon #car_2024 #electric_car
NEW JEEP RECON EV 2024 #jeep #recon #car_2024 #electric_car
The 2024 Jeep Recon and Wagoneer S are two new EV models and the brand's first for the U.S. market.
The Recon shares traits with the Wrangler, and the mid-size Wagoneer EV is different than the full-size, gas-fed Wagoneers.
Jeep also revealed the Avenger, an electric subcompact SUV that won't be sold in America.
Jeep is venturing deeper into uncharted territory as it transitions into the EV era. Now, the company is introducing two new fully electric models that are set to arrive in the U.S. in 2024. Enter the Jeep Recon and Wagoneer S.
Jeep says the mid-size Recon inherits characteristics from the Wrangler. Not only does it have removable doors and glass but, the company says, it has "impressive" approach, departure, and break-over angles. The Recon also shares the Wrangler's boxy shape and rear-mounted spare tire, but its square headlights and traditional fenders are obvious differences. While Jeep hasn't revealed any specific powertrain details or exterior dimensions, it did say the 2024 Recon will have electronic locking diffs, off-road-rated tires, and underbody protection. We fully expect it to have dual electric motors, too, providing all-wheel drive. Based on the photos, we can see its retractable roof and tan-colored interior.
While the electric Wagoneer S shares a nameplate with the full-size, gasoline-powered Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer, it actually has smaller dimensions that Jeep says make it a mid-size model. That makes us think it's more like an electric Grand Cherokee. The S is also merely a placeholder until the company presumably decides on a permanent name. As with the Recon, we didn't get many specific details about the Wagoneer EV other than claims that it'll have 600 horsepower and an estimated range of 400 miles. One thing we can say for sure is that its exterior styling is much prettier than the full-size Wagoneers, with an illuminated seven-slot grille, sleek bodywork, and rear spoiler that's nicely integrated into the design. Judging by the photos, it looks like the Wagoneer S will only have two-row seating.
Jeep Avenger Isn't for Americans
Earlier this year, Jeep announced it was going to introduce its first EV, which at the time we thought would be a small SUV the size of the compact Compass based on images of a little yellow ute. As it turns out, that model is the brand's first EV, and it's called the Avenger, but it won't be sold in America. The Jeep Avenger is also smaller than we realized. In fact, the company says it's smaller than the subcompact Renegade.
While the Avenger will be built in Poland and is expected to hit the streets overseas sometime early next year, the Recon and Wagoneer EV will both be built in America. However, they'll also be sold in Europe and other markets around the world. Jeep says orders for the 2024 Recon and 2024 Wagoneer S will open early next year, with production expected to start sometime in 2024.
Price: From £65,000
A baby Jeep electric SUV has already been revealed this year, but the firm will be hoping to stamp its authority on the opposition with an altogether beefier model.
Called the Recon, the Wrangler-sized EV will adopt a chunky design and the EV-specific STLA Large platform from parent company Stellantis. Like the Wrangler, the Recon will feature removable doors and a retractable roof, along with Jeep’s Selec-Terrain traction management system to boost its off-road credentials. The brand claims that the Recon won’t be a direct replacement for the Wrangler when it arrives in 2024.

NEW CUPRA TAVASCAN OVERVIEW 2024 #cupra #tavascan #electric_car #car_2024
NEW CUPRA TAVASCAN OVERVIEW 2024 #cupra #tavascan #electric_car #car_2024
The Cupra Tavascan is the electric SUV that will be the second 'zero-emissions' version in the manufacturer's range. It follows the compact Cupra Born and now takes as a reference a coupé SUV with all the magic and sportiness inherited from the rest of its family.
Cupra's first electric coupé SUV will be manufactured at the Volkswagen Group's Chinese plant in Anhui. The Tavascan has been designed and developed in Martorell and will be offered in power levels of 286 and 340 hp. Its most capable version, called VZ, has all-wheel drive and the maximum range advertised - for its most efficient option - is around 550 kilometres.
The series-production Cupra Tavascan borrows virtually the entire design language shown in Frankfurt as a prototype. Its sharp, sporty lines show muscle in an imposing electric vehicle that uses the light identity of the three triangles in its Matrix LED headlamps. The front end also features carefully crafted aerodynamics and a bonnet with an illuminated logo.
Nor can we leave out the racing references in the new Cupra Tavascan, which is inspired to some extent by the appearance of the Cupra Tavascan XE of the Extreme E championship to finish off the touch of sportiness expected in the model.
The alloy wheels are available in 19, 20 and 21-inch sizes, while the prototype unveiled in 2019 had 22-inch wheels.
The rear of the first coupé SUV also features the characteristic three-triangle headlamps, and the logo is once again illuminated, something that has not yet been seen much in other competitor models. The welcome light and LED door handle lights are also available.
The body colours offered on this car are Tavascan Blue, Silver White, Atacama Desert, Uranus Grey, Hypernova Red and Century Bronze Matt.
The Cupra Tavascan measures 4.64 metres long, 1.86 metres wide and 1.60 metres high, with a wheelbase that extends to 2.77 metres.
The interior of the Crupa Tavascan is as striking and avant-garde as its external appearance. The perception of quality and spaciousness is combined with a series of 'floating' elements that start from a main spine.
The standard 'bacquet' style sports seats already bring sportiness to the cabin and, if that's not enough for some, the 'CUPBucket' seats, which exclusively reserve the interior colour Enceladus Grey Metallic.
Sustainability plays an important role in the manufacture of these seats, which use lighter materials composed of up to 90 per cent recycled polyester.
A generous, centrally positioned 15-inch floating screen is a real eye-catcher in the cabin. This makes it the largest ever used in a Cupra model. The colours of the multimedia system and a 5.3-inch instrument cluster, also fully digitalised and with HUD functions, are matched by LED ambient lighting throughout the interior.
Opening the electric tailgate of the Cupra Tavascan - which can be done via the so-called Virtual Pedal - gives access to a generously sized boot, 540 litres to be more specific.
Among the options available on the Tavascan are stability control that can be completely switched off or set to sporty settings and an adaptive chassis system - DDC Sport - that can also be configured to suit the driver's driving style.
The 12-speaker sound system is from Senheiser and offers a quality that is worthy of the best sound experience for the occupants.
Connected car services are available on the Cupra Tavascan through Cupra Connect and Cupra App, with free online services for the first three years.
Among the driving aids offered on the electric SUV are adaptive cruise assist, traffic sign recognition, fatigue detection, 360° camera and emergency assistance, to name but a few. Other active safety systems include the automatic braking assistant - with turn and dodge assistance - and Connected Travel Assist technology, capable of actively keeping the car in lane or even performing an assisted lane change on the motorway.
The propulsion system of the Cupra Tavascan will depend on the version chosen. The entry-level version is called Endurance and uses an electric motor mounted on the rear axle that develops 286 hp and 545 Newton metres of torque.
The top-of-the-range option, called VZ, adds another 109 hp front motor for a combined output of 340 hp and an extra 134 Newton metres of torque. This version allows the model to accelerate from 0-100 km/hour in 5.6 seconds.
There is a choice of Range, Comfort, Performance, CUPRA, Individual and Traction driving modes, the latter of which is only available for the Cupra Tavascan VZ with all-wheel drive.
To power the mechanics, the Tavascan Endurance has a 77 kilowatt-hour battery that can achieve a range of 550 kilometres per full charge. The Tavascan VZ has the same battery capacity, but its type-approved range drops to 520 kilometres. Four regenerative paddle shifters allow a choice of four different levels to achieve these figures.

NEW ROLLS ROYCE SPECTRE 2024 #car_2024 #rollsroyce #spectre #new_car #ev
NEW ROLLS ROYCE SPECTRE 2024 #car_2024 #rollsroyce #spectre #new_car #ev
Electrification suits Rolls-Royce better than just about any other brand. After all, for decades, the highly exclusive automaker has worked tirelessly to tune its V-12s to near silence. But even in the context of previous Rolls-Royces, the electric Spectre represents a step change in quietude. If you subscribe to chief engineer Mihiar Ayoubi's take that "silence is luxury," then the Spectre is quite likely the most luxurious vehicle ever.
But the Spectre is so silent that to experience it is to ruin every other vehicle, including the rest of the Rolls lineup. At 80 to 90 mph, the slightest ripple of wind starts to nip at the Spectre's side glass. But compared with a ride the next day in a Cullinan SUV, one of the quietest vehicles we've ever measured (62 decibels at a 70-mph cruise), the Spectre is so much quieter that we thought one of the Cullinan's windows might be slightly open.
The company's first EV is about far more than just a lack of noise, however. Its tires roll so frictionlessly over smooth roads that you could believe you're hovering over the road, although sharp impacts ground those thoughts and serve as a reminder of the weight of the 23-inch wheels and 32-inch-tall Pirelli P Zero PZ4 Elect tires. The rolling smoothness is why we think the Spectre should have a coasting mode, which would continue the otherworldly feeling of effortlessness. Instead, there's a modest amount of default regen, with a B button on the spindly column shifter to increase regenerative braking to the point that it will bring the car to a stop without a touch of the brake pedal, which is a bit long of travel in an attempt to guarantee smoothness. Other than that, the Spectre has no selectable drive-mode settings, an approach we wholeheartedly agree with—offer a single excellent tune without giving drivers numerous ways to screw it up. For the same reason, there are no audio settings. The only other choice relating to the powertrain is a Rolls-Royce noise that scales with motor output; it sounds like an ominous futuristic storm that's a considerable distance away. With it off (our preference), the motors are perfectly silent. They're also plenty strong, although acceleration isn’t bonkers by today's EV standards. Still, a rush to 60 mph in the low-four-second range roughly matches the performance of the brand's V-12 models.
Those front and rear current-excited synchronous motors are borrowed from parent company BMW. There's a 255-hp motor in the front and the more powerful 483-hp rear unit from the iX M60 and the i7 M70. The 102.0-kWh battery pack is also shared with BMW and uses the same cells from CATL. Peak output is 577 horsepower and 664 pound-feet, all but equal to the latest twin-turbo V-12 in the Phantom sedan. Ayoubi says the Spectre uses nearly 400 pounds of sound-deadening materials, as in other Rolls-Royces, and the 1543-pound battery pack is another effective noise blanket.
A high beltline limits the view from the plush seats, with considerable distractions from the gorgeous leather and wood interior materials. A tap of the vents suggests billet aluminum. Despite the removal of the internal-combustion engine and drivetrain, there's still a central tunnel. The now-familiar Starlight headliner that's dotted with points of light is augmented with a new Starlight Doors option, featuring 4796 additional "stars" in the doors and the adult-size rear-seat area.
Nothing about the Spectre's arresting presence shouts about the sea change in propulsion, and that's deliberate. The brand's customers are not interested in a stylistic departure as Rolls-Royce transitions all its models to electric propulsion by 2030. Therefore, the long hood and generous dash-to-axle ratio remain, although there's not much to be seen under the hood save for a massive metal cover. The only bit that underwhelms is the oversize charge-port cover. Rolls reshaped and optimized every surface above and on the underside, leading to contribute to an impressive 0.25 coefficient of drag (versus 0.36 for the Phantom Coupe). Even the Spirit of
The company says research with potential owners showed that they are almost exclusively interested in charging at home and that the Spectre’s estimated 260 miles of EPA range is sufficient. Those traveling farther would likely choose a different vehicle from their personal fleet—one that isn’t ground-bound. Nevertheless, the Spectre has DC fast-charging capability with a claimed 195-kW peak.
Pricing starts at $422,750, but with a seemingly endless amount of customization possible, the company says it expects most of the vehicles to transact above $500,000. Rolls says 40 percent of those who have ordered a Spectre are new to the brand, and the first year of production, roughly 2500 cars, is already sold out. Deliveries start in November 2023.

NEW BMW i5 OVERVIEW 2024 FIRST LOOK #car_2024 #bmw #i5
NEW BMW i5 OVERVIEW 2024 FIRST LOOK #car_2024 #bmw #i5
BMW's executive express is going electric with the mid-size 2024 i5 sedan, which will fill the gap between the 10Best award-winning i4 and the extra-premium i7 flagship. Like those two EV four-doors, the i5 is expected to blend driving pleasure with upscale creature comforts. Two powertrains are coming, starting with a rear-drive eDrive40 model with 335 horsepower. The dual-motor M60 xDrive boosts horsepower to a stout 590 ponies and provides all-wheel-drive traction. The i5 faces a growing number of medium-size luxury electric cars made to court moneyed buyers looking for eco-friendly choices.
Debuting alongside a brand-new generation of the gasoline-powered 5-series, the i5 provides an EV option for those shopping BMW's mid-size sedan lineup.
If you're looking to maximize range, the eDrive40 will be able to sail on for a bit longer than the performance-oriented M60 trim. We're driving enthusiasts, though, and we'd gladly trade a bit of range for extra horsepower and cornering grip.
Two i5 models are offered, starting with the 335-hp eDrive40, which drives the rear wheels via a single electric motor. A hotter M60 xDrive model adds a second electric motor on the front axle for a combined 590 hp. During our initial drive in an i5 M60 prototype, we were impressed by the sedan's agile handling, confidence-inspiring levels of cornering grip, and muscular dual-motor powertrain. BMW says the more powerful of the two powertrains can rocket the i5 to 60 mph in just 3.7 seconds, which from our seat-of-the-pants evaluation seems entirely believable. M60 models also come with active anti-roll bars, a sporty suspension tune, wider tires, and rear-wheel steering, which are all intended to give the car a more athletic feel.
An 84.3-kWh battery pack lies beneath the i5's floorboards, which BMW says holds enough charge to power the eDrive40 model for 295 miles between charges. The dual-motor M60 model is less efficient and carries an estimated range of 256 miles per charge. The car's battery pack can be hooked up to DC fast-charging stations and is said to be capable of charging from 10 to 80 percent in 30 minutes on such a connection. Speaking of charging, BMW will include three years of free 30-minute charging sessions at Electrify America charging stations with every new i5.
The EPA hasn't released fuel economy estimates for the 2024 i5 yet. When we get a chance, we'll take the 5-series on our 75-mph highway fuel economy route and update this story with test results.
The i5's cabin is just as spacious and posh as that of the gasoline-powered 5-series. The battery doesn't intrude on cabin space, but trunk space is slightly less generous here than in the 5-series. Leather upholstery is still available, but BMW is launching a new faux-leather upholstery called Veganza in the i5; a set of glass interior controls is also available and adds a classy touch to the sedan's cabin. Heated and ventilated front seats with massage are optional on the eDrive40 and standard on the M60 xDrive.
The i5's dashboard is dominated by a large, curved panel that incorporates a 12.3-inch digital gauge display as well as a 14.9-inch infotainment touchscreen. BMW's latest iDrive 8.5 interface is easy to use and can be updated via over-the-air updates should the need arise for that. A head-up display is optional, but all models come with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, in-dash navigation, a wireless smartphone charging pad, a Harman/Kardon stereo system, and an onboard Wi-Fi hotspot.
The i5 offers the expected driver-assistance features as standard, including automated emergency braking and blind-spot monitoring, but more advanced features—including BMW's Highway Assistant hands-free driving mode—are optional. For more information about the i5's crash-test results, visit the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) websites. Key safety features include:
Standard automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection
Standard lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist
Available adaptive cruise control with hands-free driving mode
The i5 comes standard with the same warranty coverage as BMW's other electrified models, which means basic coverage for four years or 50,000 miles and more generous protection for the electric-vehicle components. All new BMWs also come with a three-year complimentary maintenance plan.

NEW 2023 REZVANI VENGEANCE #rezvani #car_2024 #2023 #vengeance
NEW 2023 REZVANI VENGEANCE #rezvani #car_2024 #2023 #vengeance
We've come to expect larger-than-life offerings from Rezvani, and the Vengeance is no exception. It's a three-row SUV with seating for up to eight people, though despite its outward appearance, the luxurious cabin features a massive OLED display and leather galore. There's also a 6.2-liter V8 under the hood, and if this all sounds like a Cadillac Escalade, you're not wrong.
The Vengeance does, and if you prefer pseudo-military features in your posh SUV, there are many other option boxes to check. Of course armored body panels and bulletproof glass are on the list, but how about armor for the passengers? Vests and helmets are available, along with gas masks, magnetic deadbolts for the doors, run-flat tires, sirens, ultra-bright lights, a thermal night vision system, and we aren't joking about shooting pepper spray. It's also an option, and if you need to find cover for a quick escape, it even has a smoke screen feature.
Those items and more are part of the optional Military Package, but if you just want to look tough, the standard-issue Vengeance offers the same bulky video-game body as the armored version. In fact, Rezvani called on video game vehicle developer Milen Ivanov to design the Vengeance.
Although it has had some forays into the world of sports cars (such as the Beast Alpha), Rezvani is known for creating SUVs that look like they belong in an army fleet. After the Tank and the monumental 6×6 Hercules, the brand raises the stakes even higher with the Rezvani Vengeance.
The model is based on the Cadillac Escalade, from which it retains the mechanical section. The other elements have been considerably modified, starting with a design that brings it closer to that of an armoured tank.
Rezvani has swapped the sleek styling cues of the US model for pure muscle, with a body panel that's really bulky and dominated by angular lines.
The front end looks like something straight out of a military vehicle, with an aggressive bumper and auxiliary lights on the bonnet. The wheel arches are very pronounced, the windows have a very small area and the bulky rear end has a huge tailgate.
At first glance, it's just an image, but those who need it can order the Military Pack, which, for $95,000 (around 96,000 euros at current exchange rates), turns it into an armoured car. In that case, it gets ballistic and blast protection, runflat tyres and reinforced suspension. It also adds electrified door handles, night vision, smoke system, strobe lights, intercom system and bulletproof suits for the occupants.
The interior has a seven-seat configuration and has a luxury focus. Most striking is the array of screens on the dashboard: a 14.2-inch instrument cluster, an additional 7.2-inch instrument cluster on the left and a 16.9-inch centre display. Equipment includes three-zone climate control, 12-way adjustable and heated seats and a 19-speaker sound system.
In addition, heated rear seats with massage function and screens for the rear seats are available as an option.
Three different engine blocks are available. The standard engine is a 6.2 V8 petrol with 426 hp and 623 Nm of maximum torque. There is also a 3.0-litre turbo diesel inline six-cylinder that delivers just 277 bhp and 623 Nm, and the range-topping 6.2 V8 with 700 bhp and 911 Nm of torque.
All alternatives are combined with a 10-speed automatic gearbox and an all-wheel drive system with a rear limited slip differential.
The Rezvani Vengeance is now accepting orders and is priced from $249,000 (252,000 euros), although some extras may increase the price considerably.

NEW VOLKSWAGEN JETTA 2024 #volkswagen #jetta #car_2024
NEW VOLKSWAGEN JETTA 2024 #volkswagen #jetta #car_2024
Compact sedans may not be the hot sellers they were a couple decades ago, but the 2024 Volkswagen Jetta remains steadfast as one of the best affordable compact sedans sold today. Often referred to as a Volkswagen Golf with a trunk, it shares some of that model's joie de vivre, which is good as the base, non-GTI Golf is no longer sold in the U.S. But that doesn't mean it's got the segment to itself; the Honda Civic and Mazda 3, for instance, put up some tough competition, and the latter offers all-wheel drive. Thankfully, the Jetta inherited some of the Golf's better traits, including agile handling that goes a long way to make the most of its 158-horsepower turbocharged inline-four engine. Drivers ins search of more power and sportier handling are encouraged to check out the 228-hp Jetta GLI, reviewed separately. The standard Jetta's kit includes a six-speed manual, but an eight-speed automatic transmission is on tap for a few hundred bucks extra. Heated power exterior mirrors, cloth upholstery, and a smattering of safety features including forward Collision Warning and Autonomous Emergency Braking are standard in the base S, and a host of excellent infotainment offerings and upgrades are available. Excellent fuel economy is standard, too: the last Jetta we tested returned an impressive 42 mpg on our real-world 75-mph highway fuel-economy test.
The big news for 2024 is the fitment of VW's IQ.Drive driver-assistance suite as standard equipment from the base S trim up. Also added for 2024 are an eco-leather steering wheel, leather gearshift knob, auto-dimming rearview mirror, and rain sensing wipers. The next rung up Sport trim gets standard heated front seats and a space-saving, lightweight spare.
The Sport trim level brings some nice features over the base model for not a lot of investment. It includes 17-inch alloy wheels, heated front seats, a slightly sportier front bumper design, and VW's XDS brake-based limited-slip differential. The SE adds power seats, keyless entry and a few additional upgrades. The SEL brings ventilated leather seating (heated front and rear), a sunroof and other luxuries, but the sweet spot remains the SE.
A turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder making 158 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque powers every Jetta. The base S has a six-speed manual transmission as standard, but an eight-speed automatic is optional. The last SEL we strapped our test gear to was equipped with an automatic, and it knocked off the zero-to-60-mph run in 7.1 seconds, 0.6 seconds faster than the previous automatic Jetta we tested. Our manual-equipped Jetta fared similarly, though it hit 100 mph 0.6 seconds sooner than the auto box. The chassis is tuned more for a quiet and comfortable ride than razor-edge handling, but that doesn't mean it's not entertaining within its limits; just know that steering isn't as precise as its GLI sibling's or even the Mazda 3's. In this case, "performance" means a pleasant personality that doesn't mind stretching its legs when called upon.
The 2024 VW Jetta is fuel-miser regardless of trim. The base S with the automatic takes the top efficiency honors with an EPA-estimated 31 mpg city and 41 mpg highway while the manual-equipped version gets an EPA-rated 29 mpg and 42 mpg highway. Note however, that the Jetta Sport, SE, and SEL trims get slightly lower ratings due to equipment differences, checking in with 29 mpg city and 40 mpg highway. We're pleased to report that both manual and automatic Jetta's exceeded their EPA Highway estimates in our 75-mph fuel-economy route. The manual Jetta returned an impressive 44 mpg while the eight-speed automatic returned and equally as impressive 42 mpg. For more information about the Jetta's fuel economy, visit the EPA's website.
Like its Golf sibling, the Jetta provides a satisfying amount of front passenger head, shoulder, and legroom.
Jetta S, Sport, and SE trims get a basic 8-inch digital gauge cluster; the SEL gets a 10.3-inch fully customizable setup. Likewise, Jetta S, Sport, and SE models are equipped with a small 6.5-inch touchscreen display with attendant hard knobs for volume and tuning that sidesteps the controversial new setup in the Golf GTI; the SEL utilizes the newer infotainment interface with a glass-covered 8.0-inch display, as well a 12-speaker stereo. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability are baked in (wireless is extra on most model, but standard on the SEL), and VW's Car-Net feature allows for gesture controls such as swiping and pinch-to-zoom. Every Jetta has a mobile hotspot as long as you're willing to pay for a subscription-based data plan, and wireless charging is standard on the top two trim levels.

NEW HYUNDAI ELANTRA 2024 #hundai #elantra #2024 #car_2024
NEW HYUNDAI ELANTRA 2024 #hundai #elantra #2024 #car_2024
Compact sedans such as the 2024 Elantra are widely viewed as basic transportation—great for first-time car buyers, fuel-efficient, and easy to park in tight spots—but the Hyundai also brings a ton of style and a whole lot of value. The sharp exterior design turns heads but the Elantra doesn't skimp on traditional compact-car traits. Its cabin is spacious for its size and an available hybrid powertrain boosts the Elantra's fuel-sipper cred. The base powertrain is a breathless 2.0-liter four-cylinder, but the N-Line model comes with a turbocharged 1.6-liter that offers a bit more zest. Even so, none of the Elantra models will raise its driver's pulse. Its handling is less entertaining than rivals such as the Honda Civic and the Mazda 3, both of which offer crisper steering and a more agile overall feel. For performance-oriented drivers, the full-on Elantra N model (reviewed separately) is far more satisfying than the regular Elantra, but it also costs a lot more.
Hyundai's compact car has been facelifted with a sharper-looking front end, updated exterior lighting elements, and new wheels. There are several new color choices, including Exotic Green and Ultimate Red. Hyundai has also added rear side-impact airbags and a rear-seat seatbelt reminder as standard across the Elantra range. Lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert—all of which are standard features—now alert the driver with haptic pulses in the steering wheel.
The standard nonhybrid Elantra powertrain is a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that pushes out a not-very-exciting 147 horsepower and 132 pound-feet of torque under the hood of SE and SEL models. Opting for the sportier N Line model drops displacement to 1.6 liters and adds a turbocharger, resulting in a much livelier 201 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque. The hybrid models also utilize a 1.6-liter four-pot but it’s paired with an electric motor rather than a turbo, which results in slightly less horsepower than the base engine at 139 but more torque at 195 pound-feet–equal to that of the N Line. The SE and SEL’s base 2.0-liter engine is mated to a CVT (continuously variable transmission) while the N Line, Blue Hybrid, and Limited Hybrid models get a DCT (dual-clutch transmission). Notably, the N Line gets a seven-speed DCT compared to the hybrids’ six-speed DCT. The hottest, enthusiast’s pick of the Elantra line by far is the performance-oriented N, which we review separately. But those who can't quite stomach that car's price tag could consider the tamer N Line model. After a brief test drive, we came away impressed with the N Line's perkier acceleration and its adept handling, which ups the athleticism without compromising the ride.
The EPA estimates the Elantra with the 2.0-liter four-cylinder will earn up to 33 mpg in the city and 42 mpg on the highway. Models with the turbocharged 1.6-liter four have estimates as high as 28 mpg city and 36 highway. The thriftiest hybrid Elantra is rated at 53 mpg city and 56 highway. On our 75-mph highway fuel-economy route, which is part of our extensive testing regimen, the Elantra hybrid managed only a 48-mpg result while the nonhybrid Limited with the base engine netted 38 mpg. By comparison, a Corolla hybrid hit 56 mpg in our highway test. For more information about the Elantra's fuel economy, visit the EPA's website.
To match its dramatic exterior, the cabin of the Elantra looks appropriately futuristic. The dashboard and center console wrap around the driver while the passenger's side takes a more minimalist approach. A single LED strip follows the dashboard-spanning air vent across the width of the car from the steering column to the passenger's-side door panel. Passenger volume is generous, particularly in the rear seat, which helps the Elantra compete with roomier rivals such as the Sentra and the Volkswagen Jetta. It’s not as luxurious as it looks in photos, though; there’s plenty of hard plastic inside, which isn’t surprising in this price class. In our testing, the Elantra fit six carry-on suitcases inside its trunk.
An optional 10.3-inch digital gauge display rubs elbows with a second 10.3-inch infotainment touchscreen that sprouts from the top of the Elantra's dashboard. The standard infotainment setup is an 8.0-inch center display and analog gauges for the instrument cluster. Hyundai's latest infotainment interface takes center stage here. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are both standard, as is a Wi-Fi connection. A voice-recognition feature allows the driver to adjust things such as the climate control or the heated seats by simply uttering specific phrases. A six-speaker stereo is standard, but Limited and N-Line trims come with an eight-speaker Bose stereo instead.

NEW NISSAN VERSA 2023 #new_car #nissan #versa #2023
NEW NISSAN VERSA 2023 #new_car #nissan #versa #2023
Nissan has given the Versa an update for 2023, but the subcompact sedan remains true to its mission of providing cheap, competent transport. The already handsome front end now has a flashier grille with cascading silver trim pieces, and new optional 17-inch wheels are available to dress up the little sedan's looks. The Versa is powered by a four-cylinder engine, and while its 122 horsepower isn't going to win any stoplight drag races, this powerplant will return impressive fuel economy on the highway. The Versa also impresses with its smooth ride, and it packs a suite of high-tech safety features like emergency braking. The 2023 model also brings more interior features, like a larger touchscreen on the top SR trim and a wireless charging pad on the mid-tier SV. Combined with comfy front seats, the 2023 Nissan Versa has a well-appointed cabin for its affordable price point.
The Versa features a standard 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with useful buttons and knobs; for 2023, the SR model gets a standard 8.0-inch display. Only the SV and SR trims have Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration as standard, but a new package for 2023 allows buyers to add the systems to the base S trim. During our evaluation period, we found that the CarPlay interface responded better to our inputs than the car's normal menus did. Every Versa has three USB ports and voice-command capability, but anyone who wants the ability to listen to SiriusXM satellite radio will have to look higher than the base model.
The Versa's interior no longer looks and feels like a children's play area. It uses nice materials throughout and has soft-touch surfaces on the doors and dashboard. While Nissan doesn't offer power-adjustable seats and leather upholstery here, the fanciest model can be had with heated front seats as well as a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob. The mid-level SV model unlocks some desirable standard features, such as a digital screen in the gauge cluster. For 2023, the SV also gains a center console with an armrest and a wireless charging pad. The top-tier Versa SR brings automatic climate control, passive hands-free entry, remote start, and more, and adds both a WiFi hotspot and standard adaptive cruise control for 2023. The back seat can comfortably fit two adults but both the Hyundai Accent and Kia Rio have more rear-seat headroom and legroom. The sedan has useful cubbies on its center console, and we managed to fit six carry-on suitcases in its trunk; 17 total with the back seat folded.
Nissan has given the Versa a light facelift for 2023, with a revised grille and a new 17-inch wheel design for the SR model. There are also added technology features in the cabin, with the SR trim gaining an 8.0-inch touchscreen, WiFi hotspot, and adaptive cruise control as standard. The SV model also receives a wireless charging pad and a center console with an armrest. In late 2023, rumors that Nissan could discontinue production of the Versa, but not until the 2025 model year.
The top-of-the-line Versa SR is the one to get. Sure, it's the most expensive version, but we think it's worth it for all the enticing standard equipment it provides. Both the SR and the slightly less expensive SV come with an automatic transmission, and their infotainment systems feature Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. However, only the SR gets 17-inch rims, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, LED headlights, passive entry, and remote start. For 2023, the SR gets even more standard equipment, like adaptive cruise control, a WiFi hotspot, and a new 8.0-inch touchscreen. For those who live in colder regions, we'd also add the Convenience package for its heated front seats.
Every Versa is motivated by a 122-hp four-cylinder engine that powers the front wheels. A five-speed manual is the default transmission on base models, but a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) can be had on the S, too. The latter comes standard on the higher SV and SR trim levels. While the Versa feels slow when pulling away from stoplights and during highway-passing situations, its CVT helps prevent coarse noises by mimicking actual gearchanges. The Versa we drove had a smooth ride that isolated road imperfections. It also was much better to drive than the previous generation car, providing accurate steering feel and consistent brake-pedal feedback. At our test track, the 2023 Versa SR managed a fairly lethargic 9.5-second run to 60 mph, but that was almost an entire second quicker than the 2020 model we tested before.
The Versa is rated up to 32 mpg in the city and 40 mpg on the highway when equipped with the CVT. The entry-level Versa with the manual has significantly worse figures, with an estimated 27 mpg city and 35 highway. We tested an automatic-equipped Versa on our 75-mph highway fuel-economy route, which is part of our extensive testing regimen, where it earned 40 mpg.

NEW BMW I8 M OVERVIEW 2024-25 #bmw #i8 #2024 #electric_car
Even though the current i8 hasn't lived up to the sporting intentions BMW had for it, that apparently hasn't put the German luxury brand off of high-dollar hybrid sports cars. Development of the next i8—we're a fan of calling it the i8 M, considering it should represent a significant performance improvement over the current model—is underway, and BMW's Vision M Next concept from mid-2019 is proof. A massive increase in power, a longer all-electric driving range, updated styling, and a more capable chassis are all expected to separate the i8 M from the model it will ultimately replace.
The i8 M—or whatever BMW decides to call its next-generation hybrid sports car—will be all-new for the 2026 model year. We expect to find out more as we get closer to the car's on-sale date, which is predicted to be sometime in 2025 as a 2026 model.
Without knowing how the i8 M will be equipped or what options may be available, it's hard to recommend a particular model. We expect the i8 M to be offered in both a fixed-roof coupe body style as well as a ragtop roadster, similar to the previous generation model's lineup.
The i8 M's plug-in hybrid powertrain is anticipated to follow the same basic setup as the current i8, which means an electric motor driving the front wheels and a mid-mounted gasoline engine and electric motor for the rear wheels. In lieu of the i8's turbocharged 1.5-liter three-cylinder gas engine, BMW has said the new car will offer a turbocharged four-cylinder; the company also claims a total system output—gas and electric power combined—of 591 horsepower, which is far more than the i8's 369-hp output. This up-rated powertrain will help the i8 M compete with rivals such as the Lexus LC500h and the new Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray.
The previous generation i8's 18-mile electric driving range was unimpressive to say the least. BMW has been mum on details such as battery size but said the electric driving range for the Vision M Next concept was a claimed 62 miles. That means either BMW's engineers found a way to squeeze a lot more miles out of the current car's 11.6-kWh battery pack or they found space for a much larger unit. It's almost certainly the latter. More information will be available regarding the i8 M's battery, range, and charging capability closer to the car's on-sale date.
Little is understood about the i8 M’s cabin thus far, yet we are really hoping BMW addresses the i8’s hard access and also egress by furnishing the brand-new vehicle with front-hinged doors as well as a reduced side sill to make the inside much more quickly available. Like the present car, the i8 M will be BMW’s playground for future designing as well as need to include one-of-a-kind products, innovative functions, and also eye-popping styles. Storage space as well as freight capability will likely continue to be limited, yet a front trunk (or “frunk”) might take a look to give extra baggage room.
Speaking about the price, honestly, the company doesn’t provide its official price information yet. But According to Caranddriver, and other autos website, the price for the 2024 BMW i8 M Coupe is $160,000 while
Roadster version is $180,000

NEW CADILLAC CELESTIQ 2024 #electric_car #cadillac #celestiq #car_2024
NEW CADILLAC CELESTIQ 2024 #electric_car #cadillac #celestiq #car_2024
Caddy's battery-electric flagship aims to take on the likes of Rolls-Royce and Bentley in an attempt to prove the American luxury brand is still the standard of the world.
The 2024 Cadillac Celestiq debuts as the most extravagant and expensive model the brand has ever built.
The electric Celestiq is an avant-garde, four-seater hatchback that's made by hand and built to order.
Cadillac fits every model with an expected 600 horsepower, an estimated 300 miles of range, and a base price of around $340,000.
UPDATE 8/8/23: The Cadillac Celestiq will have a base price around $340,000.
When was the last time Cadillac was truly considered the Standard of the World? If you're like us and have to phone a friend to answer that question, then you might need to have your grandparents' landline on speed dial. The point is it's been a long time, but the brand looks to return to those former glory days as a legit luxury coachbuilder with the 2024 Celestiq, a moonshot model the company claims is one of the most important in its 120-year history.
The Celestiq is a battery-electric avant-garde four-passenger hatchback that's built by hand and tailor-made for individual customers. It also features a bespoke platform based on General Motors' Ultimum battery technology.
The Celestiq's interior technology also consists of an 11.0-inch touchscreen that sprouts up from the front center console. While there's an ominous lack of physical buttons, there's a rotary controller and a volume knob on the center console. Phew.
Those in the Celestiq's two individual and highly adjustable rear seats even have their own digital command center by way of an 8.0-inch touchscreen display. The setup includes settings for the Gentherm four-zone climate system that's said to allow intimate tailoring of temps, including those for the heated and cooled cushions.
Every Celestiq is also equipped with GM's Ultra Cruise hands-free driving-assist technology that uses a combination of cameras, radars, and lidar in order to work on more than two million miles of various roadways (including but not limited to highways) in the United States and Canada.
Cadillac didn't just build the Celestiq to be a big comfy cruiser that looks like more than a quarter of a million bucks, and every one of these big EVs comes equipped with an air suspension system and the fourth generation of GM's magnetorheological shocks. Additionally, the Celestiq also has rear-wheel steering and a variable-ratio electric steering system. It also marks the debut of Cadillac's active anti-roll bars.
The front and rear suspension both feature independent five-link configurations. Large 23-inch wheels, which are wrapped with a set of Michelin Pilot Sport EV summer tires that were specially developed for the Celestiq (they even have a unique sidewall graphic), serve as the mediators between the Caddy's chassis and the road below.
The Celestiq is motivated by a pair of electric motors (one at each axle) that work together to generate an estimated 600 horsepower and 640 pound-feet of torque. Cadillac claims this allows the all-wheel-drive Celestiq to race to 60 mph in 3.8 seconds.
Maintain a light enough right foot, though, and Cadillac estimates the Celestiq will go 300 miles on a full charge of its 111-kWh battery pack. (That's gross capacity, as Cadillac's currently mum on the pack's useable capacity.) To maximize interior space, Cadillac positions the Celestiq's battery cells horizontally.
As with most ultra-luxury cars, the 2024 Cadillac Celestiq, which enters production in December 2023, really has to be seen in person to be appreciated. Unfortunately, its exclusive nature will likely make it a rare sight. Of course, that's what Cadillac wanted when it set out to design the Celestiq.
Cadillac commissioned this ambitious car to reconnect with its heritage, reboot its image, and be the flagship of the brand's plans to go entirely electric by 2030.
Needless to say, the Celestiq is extremely expensive, with a $340,000-plus base price that'll rise based on customers' individual customizations. Cadillac also says it will only build a limited number every year at GM's Global Technical Center in Warren, Michigan. Those allocations will only be available to those on a waitlist.
So, what does Celestiq mean and where did the name come from? That's not important. What's important is that it doesn't have a generic alphanumeric moniker like some other models Cadillac sells.
It also maintains Cadillac's plan to use the suffix "iq" at the end of its electric vehicles' model names, a trend that began with the recently introduced Lyriq electric SUV. That's better than the Celestiq being called the CT7 or something similarly uninspiring.

2024 NEW MITSUBISHI MIRAGE #mitsubishi #mirage #2024 #new_car
2024 NEW MITSUBISHI MIRAGE #mitsubishi #mirage #2024 #new_car
Despite its name, the 2024 Mitsubishi Mirage is no optical illusion. It's real, and it's among the last subcompact hatchbacks still available (we review the Mirage's sedan counterpart, the Mirage G4, separately). With a starting price of less than $20,000, the Mirage is also one of the cheapest new cars sold today, and even in base form Mitsubishi's budget-friendly hatch includes a lengthy list of standard tech and convenience features, including automatic climate control, a forward collision warning system with automatic braking, and a touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. That said, the Mirage is a rather disappointing vehicle: it's slow, not especially comfortable, and its interior feels chintzier than a watch from TK Jewelers. Much as a mirage taunts the dehydrated desert wanderer, the Mirage teases consumers in search of a reasonably well-equipped new vehicle on a budget. Unfortunately, it's like discovering that the desert oasis out in the distance is indeed mere heat waves; the Mirage looks like a great deal from afar but its value quickly vaporizes upon closer inspection.
Mitsubishi adds more features to the mid-level Mirage LE for 2024, including a driver-seat-mounted center armrest, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and automatic headlights. Meanwhile, Graphite Gray and Jet Black replace last year's Mercury Gray and Mystic Black.
The Mirage makes the most sense in entry-level ES guise, as moving up the trim ladder puts the hatchback in contention with a number of similarly priced and far better vehicles from competitors. Though it's the least expensive way to get into a Mirage, the ES trim is reasonably well equipped for the segment, and it comes standard with the likes of cruise control, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, and an automatic climate control system.
With a mere 78 horsepower, the Mirage's 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine lacks the oomph to properly push the barely 2100-pound hatchback about town, let alone on the highway. A continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) is standard across the board, and it only exacerbates the little car's uninspired nature. Blame the transmission's tendency to hold the engine at higher revs in a vain attempt to make the most of its limited power. The resulting drone makes the Mirage's straight-line acceleration seem even more tedious than it is—and it is tedious. We estimate the Mirage needs nearly 11 seconds to accelerate to 60 mph, during which a barrage of uncouth engine noise pummels the cabin.
ccording to the EPA, the Mitsubishi Mirage's fuel economy comes in at an estimated 36 mpg city and 43 mpg highway. If high fuel efficiency from a strictly gas-powered vehicle is what you're after, then the Mirage's numbers are hard to beat.
The Mirage is among the cheapest new cars sold today, and its interior reflects this. Hard plastic abounds, and the cabin's design is as plain as an unsalted rice cake. None of the five seats are particularly comfortable, but those up front at least have reasonable legroom. The three-across rear bench features a flat bottom, while the rear quarters offer barely enough useable space for two, let alone three, passengers. Cargo space is reasonable given the Mirage's size, and popping the rear hatch reveals a 17-cubic-foot hold with all seats in place. Fold the 60/40-split rear seat backs and that figure expands to 47 cubes.
A 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system that's compatible with both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay comes standard on all Mirages. Bluetooth connectivity and a four-speaker audio system are also standard.
Even the bottom of the barrel Mirage ES includes automatic emergency braking. Stepping up to the top-of-the-line Mirage SE, meanwhile, adds lane-departure warning and automatic high-beam headlamps to the table. Still, more advanced driver-assistance features are missing from the entire Mirage line. For more information about the Mirage's crash-test results, visit the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) websites.
Mitsubishi offers one of the best warranties in the business. The Mirage's coverage leaves warranties by rivals like the Nissan Versa in the dust.
Limited warranty covers five years or 60,000 miles
Powertrain warranty covers 10 years or 100,000 miles
No complimentary maintenance

NEW 2024 CHEVROLET CORVETTE E-RAY HYBRID #hybrid #car_2024 #new_model #chevrolet #corvette
NEW 2024 CHEVROLET CORVETTE E-RAY HYBRID #hybrid #car_2024 #new_model #chevrolet #corvette
This year, the 2024 Chevrolet Corvette E-ray is one of the highest-hyped vehicles around the world. As the first electronic car from Corvette, it has successfully captured the attention of car enthusiasts and specialists.
As far as I’ve seen the craze, people have a huge expectation from this car. Some have said it can meet the expectations, while others have stuck to a different opinion.
Though it is not being sold yet, rumors and facts have already spread worldwide. Here in this article, I’m going to offer some information about the car and discuss what I think about it.
E-ray is going to be an all-wheel-drive car, being the first of this type from the Chevrolet Corvette. It can be easily mistaken with Z06 as both have almost similar body and structure. But the main difference is in the engine and its haul. Where the racing focus Z06 hauls loudly, E-ray will stay almost silent.
According to Corvette, it’ll be offered in convertible and coupe styles. Customers have the choice to pick one. Also, around 14 colors will be available, with a few new colors.
Another great thing is that a body-length stripe that runs over the hood can be added.
3 Carbon-fiber and 4 aluminum wheel options will be available. Also, you can choose one from two different wheel caps.
Its interior is customizable also.
Exclusively for the 2024 model, Corvette is going to use a new interior design called ‘Artemis Dipped’, which is truly attractive. But if buyers want, they can pick from seven interior colors and three seat options. Also, two carbon-fiber trim packages are available.
Corvette will probably insert a 6.2-liter LT2 V8 engine into E-ray to allow it to run fast. Besides, a motor will be added to it to complete an output of 655 HP. The motor will be there to drive the front wheels, while the v8 engine will drive the rear wheels.
To make it easier for the drivers, 6 different driving options will be there- Track, Sport, Tour, Weather, Z-mode, and My Mode. The driver can choose any of the options based on the driving condition.
This model is expected to reach from 0 to 60 mph within 2.5 seconds, similar to Z06. However, some experts claim that E-ray will run faster because of the combined power of the motor and engine.
Also, it’ll be a better performer than Z06 because Z06 was made especially for tracks, but E-ray is designed to run smoothly in different driving conditions and roads.
A problem with E-ray is you can’t drive it for long if you solely depend on the electric power. Thus, it is different from conventional hybrid or electric vehicles. It is focused on performance, not on energy saving.
With a high-definition backup camera and rear parking assist sensors, parking will be easier in the case of E-ray. It also has a forward collision warning system and automatic emergency braking feature to protect from accidents.
It is full of several other safety features.
For example- Teen Driver Technology allows the parents to know how the car is being used. Its blind-spot warning feature will be a lifesaver for sure.
Pros
All-wheel drive vehicle to ensure performance
A wide range of customization opportunities is available
Advanced technology and safety features
Stylish and sleek design
Also, everything else discussed above
Cons
A high price tag has made it out of reach of many enthusiasts
Limited space for cargo
As the first electric vehicle from Corvette, I think the E-ray is a quite good offer. Its focus is on high performance, which most electric vehicles often overlook. It is a great pick if you’re looking for a hybrid with a complete focus on performance and safety.
With E-ray, Corvette has entered the world of electric vehicles. This is just the beginning. But Corvette has made it truly remarkable. Considering the specifications and features described by the manufacturer, it can be said that the hype is not there without any reason.
Still, it is not for the ones who want to use electric vehicles from an environmental viewpoint. The reason is- it is not completely dependent on the battery power. In fact, with battery power, it won’t run that long- many experts have already said.
For those eager to dive deeper into the captivating journey and technological marvel that is the Corvette E-Ray, a wealth of information and updates can be explored at corvetteerays.com
Chevrolet says the new 2024 Corvette E-Ray 1LZ’s price will start at $104,295 and the 1LZ Convertible at around $111,295. Moreover, the 2LZ and 2LZ Convertible will demand about $109,795 and $116,795, respectively. The 3LZ will start at about $115,245, and the convertible version will start at around $122,245.

NEW TOYOTA INNOVA ZENIX HYBRID MODELLISTA 2023 #hybrid #toyota #innova #zenix
NEW TOYOTA INNOVA ZENIX HYBRID MODELLISTA 2023 #hybrid #toyota #innova #zenix
Today's Innova Zenix is a wholly different beast. Now spun from the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA-C) platform – similar to the Corolla Cross – the unibody-construction people mover not only ups the ante in terms of tech, but in sheer size too. It's wheelbase is a 100 mm longer than the old CG Innova's as well.
At long last, the 2023 Toyota Innova Zenix has just been launched in Malaysia via a virtual event. Two 2.0 variants are on offer, one of them is a hybrid, and both of them are fully imported (CBU) from Indonesia.
As a CBU model taxes have thickened the prices somewhat, however price concious shoppers can note that UMW Toyota Motor will continue to offer the older, IMV ladder-frame Toyota Innova alongside – and those 8- and 7-seaters.
Dimensions - Innova Zenix
Length 4,760 mm
Height 1,795 mm
Width 1,850 mm
Wheelbase 2,850 mm
Notable improvements (or just good points in general) are the Innova Zenix's rather tight turning radius of 5.67 metres, a ground clearance of 185 mm, and it's up to 170 kg slimmer than the ol' IMV Innova.
Naturally, comparisons will be drawn towards the new Proton X90 (RM 13k seperates the top-spec Flagship and the Innova Zenix 2.0 V). In that respect, the Proton is just marginally larger: 70 mm longer, 50 mm wider, but 31 mm shorter.
On the the powertrain, the Innova Zenix comes with a choice of two Dynamic Force 2.0-litre mills: one without electrification, and in keeping with the company's greater multi-pathway directive, a full-hybrid for the range-topper.
Keen observers may note that this is the same engine that's in the Harrier we have here, plus it's also the first car to receive Toyota's 5th gen hybrid system in Malaysia: the Corolla Cross Hybrid runs on the 4th-gen.
Both variants are almost equal when it comes to their features, and in one place where things are identical is on the outside. Automatic LED projector headlamps adorned with LED daytime running lights (DRL) start things off up front, and at the sides you have 18-inch wheels wrapped in 225/50 profile tyres.
Completing the outside look are LED rear tail lamps and LED fog lights. Five colour choices for buyers too, ranging from Metallic Gray, Attitude Black (with mica finish), Avantgarde Bronze, Silver, and Platinum White Pearl. Fleet customers can opt for a solid Super White finish.
The deviance between the 2.0 V and 2.0 HEV is the presence of a panoramic sunroof and captain seat second-row layout; both reserved for the pricier car. The Hybrid variant then is a 7-seater, while the V is an 8-seater.
The rest, as follows, are equal. Note too the flat floor; made possible by the new platform and ensures a better use of space and more comfort.
Both cars are decked out with leather seats (power adjustable up front), automatic front and rear air-conditioning, electrochromic rear-view mirror, ceiling illumination, and a smattering of USB ports for smartphone charging.
Behind the tilt-and-telescopic adjustable leather-wrapped steering wheel are paddle shifters, and beyond that drivers will find a 7-inch coloured digital screen, flanked by two analogue dials. Infotainment is handled by a 10.1-inch touchscreen that comes with wired Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay connectivity, and pipes your bangin' tunes through a 4 speaker, 2 tweeter set up.
TSS updates also encapsulate its autonomous emergency braking (AEB) system, in which it can now detect vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists right ahead and at intersections. The RSA and DRCC combo both deserve a word; the pair can integrate and override the set cruising speed if a new speed limit is detected.
For example, if the driver has set 110 km/h and the vehicle is cruising at that speed, it can automatically reduce speed to 90 km/h when the system detects a 90 km/h speed limit sign ahead.
Par for the course of all other UMW Toyota Motor models, the Toyota Innova Zenix comes with a 5-year warranty with unlimited mileage. The factory warranty is transferable to the next owner if it's still in effect when sold off.
The hybrid battery pack, meanwhile has a seperate 8-year, unlimited mileage warranty, which also includes warranty for the inverter and power management control ECU.
Test drive the all-new Zenix at a Toyota showroom near you and receive a test drive gift, while stocks last, during the Toyota Showroom Weekender happening nationwide on 23- to 25-June 2023.

NEW TOYOTA HARRIER WONDERFUL SUV DESIGN DETAILS 2023 #toyota #harrier #suv
NEW TOYOTA HARRIER WONDERFUL SUV DESIGN DETAILS 2023 #toyota #harrier #suv
Currently, in its third generation, the Toyota Harrier was given a mild makeover, which made it in line with the current refreshed Toyota lineup. Sold in two different variants – Premium and Luxury, the Toyota Harrier gets a sole powertrain of a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine mated to a CVT transmission. Color options available for the Toyota Harrier are Dark Blue Mica Metallic, Sparkling Black Pearl, Silver Metallic, and White Pearl.
At the front, the Toyota Harrier is nothing like any other conventional Toyota SUV, as it welcomes one with its aerodynamic profile much similar to its sedans. One does get a full trapezoidal chrome grille with an individualistic looking bird logo at the centre. Bi-LED headlamps with daytime running LEDs and sequential turn indicators. The large honeycomb grille on the front bumper adds some visual heft to the front fascia.
Moving towards the side view, and the Harrier looks like no other traditional SUV. The rounded profile and the slightly sloping roofline are unmistakably crossover-ish. However, the lack of any prominent sharp line on the side doors of the Harrier makes it look a bit bland. Nevertheless, the large 18-inch machined alloy wheels and chrome garnish on the window waistline makes the side profile feel premium, if not outright sporty like the front.
The three-spoke steering wheel of the Harrier has a simple design, but the buttons and steering wheel have a solid feel while holding it. The instrument console lacks the flair of the rest of the design, though, however, the rectangular TFT MID screen in between the analogue dials is very comprehensive in terms of the data on offer.
The layout of the centre console as well as the design of the AC vents is asymmetrical, something which we have seen on the Lexus vehicles and the Toyota offerings of the modern generation. While the 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system has an excellent display and very responsive touch, the lack of essentials in this segment such as navigation, Android Auto and Apple Carplay is a shame.
However, when it comes to other features, the Toyota Harrier complies to its status of being the flagship Toyota SUV. It comes with some premium features like a panoramic moonroof, memory seat with front seat ventilation, premium Nappa leather upholstery, power adjustable tilt and telescopic steering, push-button start with keyless entry, touchscreen panel for dual-zone automatic climate control and rain sensing wipers. Even in terms of overall cabin space, the Toyota Harrier provides ample room for five passengers with the option of 60:40 split rear seats to maximise the cabin space.
Being a flagship SUV means that it has to take the bars higher in terms of the way its presence is felt. In that perception, the Toyota Harrier fulfils the expectations, considering the fact that it is derived from a Lexus, which is already believed to be a more luxurious form of a Toyota product.
Unlike other traditional Toyota SUVs, the Harrier is built on a monocoque frame, which makes it very agile to drive and handle. The Harrier gets Macpherson struts at the front and double wishbone at the rear, which are set slightly on a stiffer side to add some agility in its overall driving experience. However, the suspension is supple enough to absorb all the undulations of the road surface with ease.
For the Harrier, Toyota has employed its tried and tested, 2.0-litre four cylinder VVT-I turbocharged petrol engine, which we have already seen on proven cars like Camry. Mated to a CVT transmission, the engine is good enough to pump out a maximum power output of 170 PS and a peak torque output of 350 Nm. For a turbocharged petrol engine, the turbo lag is almost negligible in this engine, making it as rev happy, if not more than as a naturally aspirated engine. The engine does impress you with its sheer refinement and power delivery.
Toyota has a very keen focus on the aspect of safety, and considering the fact the Harrier is a flagship crossover in Malaysia, the vehicle is quite loaded with safety features. The Toyota Harrier gets a total of seven airbags, ABS with EBD, front and rear parking sensors, reverse parking camera, electronic parking brake, Hill Start Assist, Vehicle Stability Control, Traction Control, adaptive cruise control, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Pre-crash warning system, and ISOFIX mounts for child seats.
For a flagship SUV, the Toyota Harrier has the sense of luxury and individualistic presence which is commendable. Apart from it, the Toyota Harrier performs decently on all the other parameters, such as engine performance, ride quality and handling, thus making it a well rounded practical package.

NEW SUZUKI GRAND VITARA HYBRID 2023 EXTERIOR AND INTERIOR DETAILS #hybrid #suzuki #vitara2023
NEW SUZUKI GRAND VITARA HYBRID 2023 EXTERIOR AND INTERIOR DETAILS #hybrid #suzuki #vitara2023
The new Grand Vitara is on the way. After so many years, Suzuki will bring back “Grand” to the famous moniker. The new model has been developed by Maruti Suzuki and from what we know so far, it will be primarily designed for the Indian market, as well as for some other Asian and African countries. It will have a lot of things in common with Toyota Urban Cruiser and judging on the dimensions, it will be notably more spacious compared to the standard Vitara.
The new model will share a lot of technology with Toyota, with the Urban Cruiser in particular. Among the shared components, we will also see the hybrid powertrain, which should make this crossover pretty efficient. Also, we can notice a completely new interior, which looks way more upscale compared to the previous Vitara models. The new model should hit the market in the next few months.
The 2023 Suzuki Grand Vitara will come as a completely new model and it won’t have too many things in common with the current generation Vitara, which has been around since 2015. The new model will share most of the parts with Toyota Urban Cruiser, which was also developed by Maruti Suzuki. Compared to the current-generation Vitara, the new model will be notably bigger. It will feature a 100 mm longer wheelbase, as well as more than 150 mm in overall length. All this should ensure way more space on the inside, especially when it comes to the second-row legroom.
Mechanically, things won’t be all that different. Just like most Suzuki models, this model will also rely on proven technologies. Therefore, the suspension setup will be rather simple, with a typical McPherson strut at the front and a torsion beam on the rear end. Also, the rear brakes will feature classic solid discs, while the front ones will be ventilated.
When it comes to the exterior design, we already mentioned that the new model will be notably bigger than Vitara. It will also feature significantly different aesthetics, whether it’s about the front or rear end. On the other hand, the overall shape will come in a typical SUV manner, which is a body style that generally can’t bring bigger surprises.
The front end will be characterized by a way more futuristic look, which separated the lighting group and a massive grille, as well as a lot of chrome details. The rear end will also come with some pretty interesting details, such as the new lighting bar that spreads from one to the other taillight.
The interior will also be completely new and the first thing that you’ll notice is that everything looks more upscale than in the Vitara. The materials look much nicer and many surfaces are now soft to the touch. Also, you can notice a lot more tech features, including a pretty massive 9-inch infotainment screen, as well as a 7-inch digital instrument display. Higher trim levels will also come equipped with things like a panoramic roof, two-tone seats, ambient lighting, head-up display, surround-view camera, ventilated seats, rear USB ports etc.
Considering the additional 100 mm in wheelbase, we are pretty sure that the new model will be pretty generous with legroom in the second row, while the front row seems pretty cozy and spacious.
When it comes to the powertrain, the 2023 Suzuki Grand Vitara will be offered in two variants. Base models will use Suzuki’s 1.5-liter naturally-aspirated four-cylinder engine, which will come with a 12-volt mild-hybrid system and a total output of 103 horsepower and 117 pound-feet of torque. This engine will be available with two transmissions, either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic. Front-wheel-drive is standard, while Suzuki’s famous AllGrip AWD will be available.
On the other hand, more expensive versions will come with a full hybrid system, the same one that can be found in the Yaris Hybrid. That means that you may count on a 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine and a pretty capable electric motor, for a total output of 114 horsepower. Also, this engine will come coupled with an eCVT.
Fuel Economy
At this point, the company still hasn’t come up with any numbers. We can’t say how efficient the base engine will be but on the other hand, we may presume that the hybrid version will be slightly thirstier than the Yaris Hybrid. The popular subcompact is good for 3.5 L/100 km but the real-world numbers are slightly higher.

NEW MITSUBISHI XFORCE 2024 #mitsubishi #xforce #car_2024
NEW MITSUBISHI XFORCE 2024 #mitsubishi #xforce #car_2024
Remember that unnamed compact SUV the Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) teased right before the 2023 Indonesia International Auto Show? Turns out it was a lot more like the XFC concept than previously thought. Making its official debut, the new Mitsubishi xForce has been revealed overseas, and the automaker has plans to keep it there. Available only in Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) region, the 2024 Mitsubishi xForce will only be sold across Southeast Asian, Latin American, Middle Eastern, and African countries. We would say, “bummer”, but it’s not all that flashy.
What We Already Know
It’s clear that the new xForce took a lot of inspiration from the previously tested XFC concept. The xForce could very well be the compact SUV shared during the automaker’s “Challenge 2025” business strategy, but it does leave a bit of a sour taste in our mouth. We were hoping for something brand new, something a little more futuristic based on past Mitsubishi concepts. Much of the style seen in the early preview is unchanged.
The 2024 Mitsubishi xForce gives off a more muscular and aggressive tone up front with a new grille, large headlights on either side, and even some slim fender flares in the front and rear. Much of it is remiscient of the XFC concept, but tweaked to make the xForce stand on its own four wheels. Speaking of which, these large 18-inch wheels, Active Yaw Control (AYC) system, and a segment-leading ground clearance of 8.7 inches, the xForce is capable of going off-road. This is almost unheard of for a two-wheel drivetrain. That’s right, the xForce only comes with two-wheel drive, but also comes equipped with four drive modes (Normal, Wet, Gravel, and Mud) to help tackle rough and slippery surfaces one may find when going off road.
Powered by a 1.5-liter engine, and paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT), the engine is able to generate 103 horsepower and 104 lb-ft) of torque. There goes the chance of a new rally car, but some American fans would be definitely jealous if Mitsubishi returned to its rally car roots and kept it restricted to overseas markets. The 2024 Mitsubishi Colt was thought to be the resurrection of past times, but it’s a crossover, and a rebadge of the Renault Clio. There is still the Ralliart Vision concept left to be seen, so there’s some small hope that the revival of Ralliart wasn’t just for show and graphic-inspired appearance packages.
What’s New in MITSUBISHI XFORCE 2024
It would seem that the xForce model did take the interior of the XFC concept, although not as flashy. The cockpit is still fairly digital, but it doesn’t cover the entire width of the dashboard. Featuring a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen and an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, the cabin is comfortable and convenient. Able to sit up to five passengers, there are a lot of storage compartments for keeping items and devices safe as well as connected. This includes a wireless charging pad, plus USB ports, and smartphone holders. The upholstery is said to be a “mélange” fabric, possibly the only option. For entertainment, a Dynamic Sound Yamaha Premium sound system featuring 8 speakers is the standard setup.
Nothing really new when compared to the models we already have here in the states. It’s just a little more modern with the digital screens on the dashboard. Guess we’ll wait and see how the Ralliart Vision turns out, after all. Follow along with us on University Mitsubishi social media for more.

NEW MITSUBISHI TRITON 2024 #triton #mitsubishi #new_car #car_2024
NEW MITSUBISHI TRITON 2024 #triton #mitsubishi #new_car #car_2024
The Triton is a true, ladder-frame truck with a leaf sprung live rear axle. It's what many truck enthusiasts claim is a "proper truck" without ever actually trying anything else. It also means that the Triton wouldn't be based on a CUV platform and will be a "proper" RWD platform. We'll admit that many of these "proper truck" features do make the Triton perfect for a work truck or hauling overland gear.
Ladder frame, live rear-axle, leaf springs, manual transmission—the 2024 Mitsubishi Triton screams perfection in the minds of some U.S. pickup truck buyers. Heck, it even comes in single cab and "Club cab" configurations along with the double cab. With Mitsubishi practically non-existent here in the U.S., a pickup truck like the Triton would really help the Diamond Star brand right now. Unfortunately, it's not meant for any part of this hemisphere.
The Triton really would bring Mitsubishi back into relevance here in the U.S. After such a lackluster attempt to rebrand itself for EVs with the i-MiEV and then the poor reception of the Eclipse Cross, the Diamond Star needs something to bring it back from this brink of irrelevance. With the small and midsize pickup truck market being as hot as it is right now, the Triton would really help bring back the good days of Mitsubishi (especially if they go bold and bring it as the Mighty Max or maybe as the Raider). We're going to make the case on why it would be a good idea.
It's also not "compromised" by only having an automatic transmission as many other midsize pickups are saddled with. Even with 4WD and its most powerful version of its 2.4 liter turbodiesel 4N16 I-4 engine (204 hp with 346.7 lb-ft of torque from 1,500 to 2,750 rpm), you can still row your own gears. The interesting trick about the six-speed is that it's a "shift by wire" shifter. There is no direct connection between the shifter stalk and the transmission. It would be interesting to see how well that works. Shifting into 4WD is also remote with a dial selector, but you do get several modes and the ability to lock the center differential and low gearing. It's also a full-time AWD system and not just a traditional 4WD, but it also has a 2WD mode for fuel economy driving.
The Triton's bed height is just 32.28 inches high while the bumper corners offer real space and strength to step on. Inside, the automatic transmission version has the ability to hold tablets in its center console, but both transmissions are capable of holding four 600 mL bottles in their cupholders. The interior storage is also designed for people who wear gloves regularly as the glove box, smartphone holder, and small storage areas are made to have space for and operate while wearing them. You'll also get USB A and C chargers as well as a wireless charger in the bottom of the central instrument panel. The Triton also features advanced ADAS features like adaptive cruise control, Forward Collision Mitigation, Blind Spot Warning with Lane Change Assist, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.
Mitsubishi even made a version that would really appeal to U.S. buyers, too. The Triton Beast Mode design concept adds in features to the four-door version like contrasting fender flares, a sport bar, bed liner, roof rails, and more. While a concept, Mitsubishi does offer many of the same accessories for the Triton, including a factory bed liner.
Additionally, the Triton is going racing in Cross Country Rallies in and around Asia with Team Mitsubishi Ralliart. A Ralliart version of the Triton here in the U.S. would prove it has the off-road chops that the Ford Ranger and Chevrolet Colorado have in their own off-road racing programs. It would be awesome to see it also come with the same Work Crag T-Grabic II wheels and maybe some of the carbon body bits, too.
Right now, the 2024 Mitsubishi Triton is already on sale in Thailand and will be rolled out into the ASEAN and Oceania markets not long after. This includes Japan, which hasn't happened in 12 years. It's been over 14 years since the U.S. had a Mitsubishi pickup truck and it's time for it to make a return. We think the new Triton would be the perfect vehicle for the Diamond Star's revival in North America.

NEW INFINITI QX MONOGRAPH 2024 #qx #monograph #car_2024 #infiniti
NEW INFINITI QX MONOGRAPH 2024 #qx #monograph #car_2024 #infiniti
Infiniti is coming around to futurist design as it reveals the ultra-modern 2024 Infiniti QX Monograph at Monterey Car Week.
Based on the flagship QX80 SUV, Infiniti says it's entering an evolutionary state of design, as it cites specific Japanese design philosophies like Kabuku.
Red dominates the color palette of the QX Monograph, featuring red highlighted wheels, red tinted windows, and a light-changing paint color based on a setting sun.
There was a time when Infiniti was one of the legendary Japanese automakers, ushering in the four-door, gentle person's version of the 350z. Its G35/G37 sedans and Q-series coupes have become ubiquitous in the enthusiast scene, but its crossover and SUV offerings haven't always reached such desirable levels.
But a fresh, exciting design could change all that, as Infiniti reveals its 2024 QX Monograph edition at Monterey Car Week. At a glance, this SUV certainly looks like a major change, but the company says it's actually part of the brand's ongoing design evolution.
"We approach each Infiniti design from the perspective of an artwork, with the aim of evoking emotion and intrigue," said Alfonso Albaisa, senior vice president of global design. "The QX Monograph presented a sizable canvas for us to explore Infiniti's artistry at maximum scale and create something bold."
On this QX80 canvas, a few key features stand out, namely the digital piano key lighting wrapping around the front of the car. A new Infiniti logo is also present for the first time, 3D enlarged on the nose of the car.
By shaving down the door handles, the QX Monograph has a smoothed finish, in a purposeful move to de-emphasis the formerly boxy shape.
Proportioning out the QX Monograph was arguably the most important part of its design, Infiniti said. Inspired by the Japanese design philosophies of "Ma," the mastery of empty space; "Utsuroi," representing seamless transitions; and "Kabuku," which translates to provocative and extraordinary, Infiniti wanted to reinterpret the QX80's shape.
What that translates to visually is a tall hood line that continues to the hips of the trunk, but it's not this geometrically satisfying design that stood out to us. The most striking part of the SUV is its red highlighted, gloss black, and shadow chrome spoked turbine-looking wheels.
Similarly, the model-specific paint hue is a visual dance of sorts, as it goes from dark and reflective to light and creamy depending on the light. Infiniti calls this paint color Akane, citing its inspiration as a warm glowing red sunset transitioning into a dark night sky.
The red highlights continue through the glass, as Infiniti says the windows are ever-so-slightly tinted red for ultimate privacy and sun protection. Coming around the rear of the car further invokes the red vignette, as the body-contoured tail light housings sport factory-installed smoked lamps.
The boxy QX platform has undeniably received a strong but legacy-honoring makeover, even if we don't know much about its mechanics. Given its QX80 bones, the burly, 400-hp 5.6-liter V8 may be present, though the evolutionary rhetoric means Infiniti may opt for a more modern powerplant.
Additionally, being based on Infiniti's flagship model means this special edition won't be cheap, especially considering the QX80's nearly $75,000 sticker price. Infiniti has yet to reveal its price, production numbers, or delivery date, but we suspect this model will go for upwards of $80,000, especially if its interior is characteristically draped in cushy leather.
How do you feel about boxy vehicles with rounded edges, like the QX Monograph or Hyundai's new Santa Fe? Does it remind you of any previous design era? Please share your thoughts below.

NEW DELOREAN ALPHA5 | OVERVIEW 2024 #delorean #alpha_5 #electric_car
Estimated Launch Date: End Of 2024
As Dodge sets out to retire the Charger and Challenger, all hope isn’t lost, as the Dodge Charger Daytona SRT might just be what saves the future of muscle cars. While it’s not yet completely clear how muscle car purists will take the shift from V8s to volts, Dodge does a pretty good job of making the Charger Daytona SRT sound like a real V8-powered muscle car. The sound emanates from a series of chambered pipes underneath the exhaust system instead of the external speakers some EVs use.
Although Dodge is still keeping some information about the powertrain specifications of the Charger Daytona SRT EV a secret, the base Charger will likely have an output of 455 hp, while stage 1 and stage 2 upgrade boosting take the output to 495 hp and 535 hp, respectively.
Notable Features
Two 400-volt powertrain versions
eRupt multi-speed transmission with electro-mechanical shifting
DeLorean is back with grand plans for a bright future.
WHAT IT IS: In spring 2022, DeLorean Motor Company released a teaser shot of its upcoming EV sedan, and you might have wondered exactly what year you were in when you absorbed that news. The DeLorean run by the late John Z. is long gone, but its spirit, if not look, lives on in the Alpha5 sedan concept. The Alpha5 is a product of DeLorean Reimagined LLC, headed by auto industry veterans Joost de Vries and Troy Beetz, and penned by ItalDesign—whose founder, Giorgetto Giugiaro, created the original DeLorean DMC-12's origami form.
WHY IT MATTERS: The DeLorean name is recognized mostly for being a part of Americana rather than ever having been on a vehicle of marketplace significance. But the original DMC-12 has maintained a loyal following for decades, thanks in no small part to the Back to the Future movie franchise. Stephen Wynn, who has catered to that crowd by running the Classic DMC business near Houston since the mid-1990s, continues in that role. However, the Alpha5 business is a separate project headed by de Vries and backed by CMO Beetz. They plan to set up a new corporate HQ in the San Antonio area as they look to enter the EV space and leverage the DeLorean name.
PLATFORM AND POWERTRAIN: Alpha5 details are sparse, but its massive gullwing doors recall the original DMC-12 and the Tesla Model X. They provide a huge portal to the four-place interior, which has a clean look reminiscent of other American EVs. The initial official images of this future vehicle are paired to ambitious numbers, including a sub-3.0-second sprint to 60 mph and a range exceeding 300 miles from a 100-plus-kWh battery. There had to be a Back to the Future nod in there somewhere, so there's also an estimated run from 0 to 88 mph in a claimed 4.4 seconds. The new company plans to reveal more info and have an Alpha5 on hand during the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance in August.
ESTIMATED PRICE: $145,000

NEW SONY HONDA AFEELA EV 2026 #electric_car #honda #sony
NEW SONY HONDA AFEELA EV 2026 #electric_car #honda #sony
After introducing the Afeela concept at the 2023 CES show, Sony Honda Mobility invited us for an in-cabin tech demo at Sony Pictures Studios in Los Angeles. This was our first chance to get a good long test-sit in the Afeela concept.
Let The Good Times Roll
First things first: Does it have a PlayStation in it? The short answer is yes and no—no PlayStation, but you can play PlayStation games in the car. The longer answer can be found here.
Our second order of business was to ask about what makes it go—and, just like at CES, Sony Honda Mobility provided no answers. No technical data and not even the barest hints about the machinery. It's obvious from the structure that the battery is in the now-typical location under the floor, and we can see disc brakes peeking out from behind the wheels, but SHM had no further information for us.
Of course, before we did that, we needed a minute to stare blankly at the Afeela concept's unadorned sheetmetal, because it doesn't have any door handles. Oh, and speaking of the unadorned sheetmetal, one of the SHM reps explained the humble styling, which we lamented in our First Look: The goal is to put the emphasis on the Afeela's software rather than its hardware. Um, OK. We also noticed the lack of seams for an opening hood. When we asked what was going on under there, SHM again had no answer, but a rep did tell us that a frunk is TBD.
Back to the doors: Turns out the Afeela uses cameras to recognize approaching occupants and open the doors automatically. This feature wasn't yet implemented, so our hosts opened the doors with a phone app. (The concept car also has buttons hidden in its fender arches.)
We hopped in, settling into the Afeela's leather-and-suede driver's seat. Synthetic, of course; no animals were harmed in the making of this upholstery. Sony Honda pointed out the faux suede on the door panels, a recycled (and very convincing) material developed by Honda.
Once sitting behind the steering wheel, we couldn't help but notice we weren't sitting behind a steering wheel. The Afeela has a steering yoke, but what we don't know is what lies behind the yoke. Is it a proper variable-ratio drive-by-wire steering system, which we got to try on a prototype of Lexus' RZ electric SUV? Or is it just a yoke attached to a conventional steering system, which we found silly and useless on the Plaid version of Tesla's Model S? No firm answer, though the SHM rep did opine that only a variable-ratio system would make any real sense.
The rest of the control layout is EV-contemporary: Lights and wipers on the left-hand column stalk, shifter on the right. yoke—has buttons that appear fairly conventional, with push-to-talk and stereo controls on the left side and cruise control to the right. Mandatory button controls (hazards and defrosters) are at the center of the dash, flanked by seat-heat and climate controls. And above all that: Screens, screens, screens.
The Afeela has the expected digital driver's display, and to its immediate right is an ultra-wide screen split into center and passenger zones. At the dash's outer edges you find small screens that replace the side-view mirrors. We've seen these before on concept cars; SHM told us it anticipates regulatory approval for the cameras by the time the Afeela goes on sale in 2026.
Another nifty feature is the ability to set themes, which change the screen backgrounds (including the instrument panel), the color of the interior accent lighting, and even the piped-in electric motor sounds. No surprise all of the themes we saw were based on Sony Entertainment movies, games, and franchises. We asked if owners will be able to create their own Afeela themes; Sony Honda Mobility said there is no decision yet, but the system will be open to developers for content creation. Sounds like the PlayStation Store will be coming to the Afeela electric car.
Speaking of sound, the Afeela will feature Sony's 360 Reality Audio system, developed as a competitor to Dolby Atmos. Although Sony would not reveal the number of speakers, it did point out a set of speakers located in the seat, just below the headrest. The system in the concept car, Sony said, could only provide surround sound for the driver, but we saw similar speakers in all four primary seating positions.
Bottom line, we mostly liked the Sony Honda Mobility Afeela concept car's interior. It delivered the multimedia experience we expected, with car controls that (yoke aside) are fairly conventional and straightforward. Like the rest of the car, the Afeela concept's interior strikes us as realistic and producible. Sony plans to take orders in 2025 with initial customer deliveries in 2026, and we should see something closer to a production car long before then. Aside from some desperately needed rear headroom, we'll be happy if there aren't too many changes from the concept.

NEW RIMAC CONCEPT ONE 2024 | OVERVIEW #rimac #concept #one #car_2024
NEW RIMAC CONCEPT ONE 2024 | OVERVIEW #rimac #concept #one #car_2024
NEW Rimac Concept_One Review 2024
Tesla may be the best-known fully electric car manufacturer in the US but the small Rimac Automobili company start in 2013 in Croatia is one of the new breed of modern automakers that is making big inroads into this segment.
Their first and only vehicle so far is the Concept_One, claimed to be the world's first electric supercar, it is a powerful two-seater coupe that promises unparalleled levels of acceleration and handling. Built in extremely limited numbers, updates and drivetrain improvements are ongoing.
The interior is a completely bespoke design and the center console in particular looks futuristic, the in-house designed infotainment and control screen offers a multitude of functions and settings that obviates the need of physical buttons and switches.
There is space for two in the tight cabin and the seats offer superb lateral support, the fit and finish of the interior is very good for a very low volume product and it would have to be as it is competing at the very pointy end of the hypercar segment.
Taller occupants will have trouble with the restricted headroom though. The rear hatch opens up to reveal the electric control unit and luggage space is limited to what you can store in the cabin and your pockets.
The Rimac, like the majority of electric vehicles weighs a fair bit, just over 4000 pounds in this case, although its immense torque output neutralizes the mass and the Concept_One makes the most of its unique four-wheel electric motor setup and should offer superb cornering abilities.
Not much is known about how this electric sports car handles around a race track but the focus on the driver is apparent in details like the decision to use hydraulically assisted steering instead of a less interactive electric unit.
The all-wheel torque vectoring system can be adjusted to suit a variety of driving requirements and it should outperform conventional drivetrains when it comes to putting the power down effectively in low grip conditions.
According to reports there are a few negatives too, the ride quality is firm and unyielding on rougher road surfaces and the Concept_One is at its best on smooth, flowing roads. The braking system features a regenerative feature which reverses the electric motors when decelerating and this combined with the carbon-ceramic disc setup can make for an unpredictable and varying brake pedal feel.
Despite these shortfalls, the Rimac promises an engaging and immersive experience like no electric car has provided before.
The Rimac Concept_One is fitted with four electric motors at each corner and the combined output is a serious 1073 horsepower, even more impressive is the 1180 lb-ft of torque. Unlike just about every other electric car the Concept_One features a small 2-speed dual-clutch gearboxes linked to each of the rear motors.
The lower geared transmission allows for speeds of up to 100 mph and helps keep the 0-60 mph time down to a claimed 2.5-seconds, the second gear helps keep the furious acceleration levels strong right up to the claimed 221 mph top speed.
No gas-powered car can match the instantaneous response to throttle inputs and a 95-kWh battery promises a range of around 200 miles when you are not exploring the upper reaches of its performance envelope.
Currently eight units of the Concept_One have been delivered to customers and specification levels vary as development is ongoing. Basic specifications include full LED lighting, Carbon-ceramic brakes, full carbon-fiber body, 22 Kw on-board charger and an in-house infotainment system.
There may safer choices than the Rimac Concept_One when it comes to top level supercars, but this low-volume electric-powered coupe offers a glimpse into what the future holds for the performance car.
A totally bespoke interior and exterior design are impressive for such a small volume manufacturer and the all-wheel torque vectoring system may be a game changer too. It may have a cramped cabin and brakes that need further development but it offers searing acceleration and a level of exclusivity few other competitors can match.

NEW TESLA ROADSTER 2024 |OVERVIEW #electric_car #tesla #roadster
NEW TESLA ROADSTER 2024 |OVERVIEW #electric_car #tesla #roadster
A Fast-Paced Sequel
It's been a decade since production of the first Tesla Roadster came to an end. We've known about the second-generation Tesla Roadster for some time, as has been the case with the Cybertruck, but both are still missing in action. Still, the Roadster promises to be a record-breaking model when it eventually arrives and a step up from its predecessor in every way. Interestingly, this will be Tesla's first model to enter a second generation if Elon Musk's suggested timelines are correct. The new Tesla Roadster will have a 0-60 time of 1.9 seconds, a top speed of over 250 mph, and a 620-mile range - at least, those are the claims. If all those numbers are achievable in the real world, it will be untouchable. Here's what we know about Tesla's sports car so far.
The 2024 Tesla Roadster's price is as eye-opening as its performance. Merely reserving one of these cars will cost you $50,000. At the time of writing, Tesla did not have a base price published on its website, but previous indications suggest that the Tesla Roadster will start at a $200,000 MSRP for the base model and go up to $250,000 for a limited Founders Series model.
Electric sports cars are rare, so pinning down rivals for the 2024 Roadster in the USA is a challenge.
New Tesla Roadster Exterior And Colors
The Tesla Roadster's exterior looks close to being production-ready. This is a four-seat sports car with a removable glass roof and a sporty, uncluttered design. Like other Tesla models, the exterior is smooth and mostly free of embellishments. It has a low front hood, sharply angled headlights, and a sporty lower bumper. Muscular fenders and large wheels dominate the side view, and the rising beltline leads to a shapely rear-end with an integrated spoiler.
The glass roof panel can be stored in the trunk and provides open-air motoring for those in front, although rear-seat passengers will still have a roof above them.
As for the Tesla Roadster's colors, it was shown in red but we hope Tesla deviates from its rather limited color palette which offers little more than black, white, grey, and blue. Overall, it is a sporty, modern, and sophisticated sports car that makes the most of Tesla's traditional design cues.
The Tesla Roadster's dimensions haven't been shared yet, but it should be bigger than the first-generation model that could only seat two. That first Roadster was around 155.4 inches long, 73.7 inches wide, and 44.4 inches in height. The wheelbase was just 92.6 inches.
Tesla Roadster Engine And Performance
Expected to be equipped with three electric motors - one in the front and two at the back - the all-wheel-drive Tesla Roadster has been touted as the quickest car in the world. Remember, the record-breaking Model S Plaid also has three motors and makes 1,020 horsepower, so the Roadster should be capable of the same. Tesla has released a few specs including wheel torque of 10,000 Nm which translates to 7,375 lb-ft.
The performance figures would have seemed scarcely believable if the Model S Plaid wasn't already around. Tesla claims that the Roadster will go from 0-60 mph in 1.9 seconds, 0-100 mph in 4.2, and can clear the quarter-mile in a blistering 8.8 seconds. The top speed will be over 250 mph, which would be some achievement for an EV.
Will it be another painfully fast but emotionless EV, or will Tesla find a way to make the Roadster fun in the corners, too? We'll have to wait and see.
EVs have only just begun surpassing 500 miles of range, as is the case with the Lucid Air sedan. Bearing that in mind, Tesla's claim of the Roadster going 620 miles on a full charge sounds optimistic. But with a 200-kWh battery, perhaps this claim isn't beyond belief.
The new Tesla Roadster coupe should be capable of Tesla's 250-kW charging speeds. At a Tesla Supercharger, about 200 miles of range can be added in 15 minutes.
The Tesla Roadster's interior shares a button-free, rather stark approach with other models in the brand's range. While the production model might be different, the dashboard we've seen is nothing more than a horizontal slab without anything on it. The one main difference inside compared to other Teslas is that there is a floating, lengthened touchscreen display in the center. There is also no traditional gauge cluster, and the steering wheel is the company's contentious yoke design.
The Tesla Roadster's cargo space is concealed beneath a long rear hatch, although it doesn't look like there'll be much space in there if the roof is stowed. Information about the Roadster's frunk is unknown - or if it will even have one at all. The absence of a visible shutline at the front edge of the hood leads us to believe that there won't be a frunk and that all your belongings must be stored in the rear trunk or on the back seats.

NEW TOYOTA LAND CRUISER PRADO 2024 #toyota #land_cruiser #prado
NEW TOYOTA LAND CRUISER PRADO 2024 #toyota #land_cruiser #prado #new_cars #new_car #new_toyota
On Tuesday, the 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser debuted with a turbocharged hybrid powertrain, a smaller footprint, a lower price, and a retro design. When it arrives in the U.S. in the spring of 2024, it will start from the mid-$50,000 range, according to Toyota. The last model started at about $85,000.
The latest Land Cruiser shifts directions from where the 200 Series left off three years ago, with a smaller size and a retro design to go with its lower price. The lineup will consist of Land Cruiser 1958 (for the year it was introduced in the U.S.), Land Cruiser, and 5,000 Land Cruiser First Edition models.
The new Land Cruiser is 4.4 inches narrower and 1.2 inches shorter than the outgoing model. Its design is influenced by forebears from decades ago rather than years ago. The base Land Cruiser 1958 and top-spec Land Cruiser First Edition models both sport round headlights, while the mid-trim model has rectangular LED headlights. The round headlights recall the 1960s 40 Series models and 1980s 60 Series Land Cruisers, but the squared-off LED units are a nod to the facelifted 60 Series known as the FJ62. Every model has vertically oriented rectangular taillights like the FJ60s, and "Toyota" is stamped into the grille.
An upright stance, slab sides, and tall glass should provide good outward vision, critical for off-roading. Most Land Cruisers will ride on 18-inch wheels wrapped in all-season tires, but 20-inchers will be available on the mid-trim Land Cruiser model.
The V-8 is dead. Every Land Cruiser will be a hybrid. A 2.4-liter turbo-4 paired with a 48-hp electric motor in the 8-speed automatic transmission combine to make 326 hp and 465 lb-ft of torque. Full-time four-wheel drive and a 2-speed electronically shifted transfer case will come standard. Every Land Cruiser will also have a Torsen limited-slip center differential with manual locking capability and a locking rear differential, but the mid- and top-spec models will add disconnecting front sway bars.
Like the current 300 Series Land Cruiser, which isn't sold in the U.S. and won't be coming here, as well as the Tundra, Sequoia, Tacoma, Lexus GX, and Lexus LX, the new Land Cruiser rides on the TNGA-F body-on-frame platform. All models will use double-wishbones up front and twin-tube shocks with a multilink suspension in the rear.
The Land Cruiser's signature off-road capability is enhanced by an approach angle of up to 31.0 degrees, a max departure angle of 22.0 degrees, and breakover angle of 25.0 degrees. Ground clearance checks in at 8.7 inches, and should that not be enough, rock rails and high-strength steel skid plates will be available. A tow hitch receiver will be standard, with a tow rating up to 6,000 pounds.
Toyota's terrain management system will come standard on mid- and top-spec Land Cruisers. It now features Mud, Dirt, and Sand modes that can all be used both in 4Hi and 4Lo. Crawl Control, which is essentially off-road cruise control, will come standard, as will hill descent control.
Inside, base Land Cruiser 1958 models will have heated cloth seats, an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a six-speaker sound system, and a 2,400-watt AC inverter. The mid-spec model will swap in a 12.3-inch touchscreen, a 10-speaker audio system, Rigid-brand color-selectable LED fog lights, and synthetic leather trimmed seats. The only way to get leather seats in a Land Cruiser will be in the top-spec First Edition.
Toyota promises more than 100 accessories will be available at launch through the automaker, ranging from off-road recovery gear to racks and attachments.
Every Land Cruiser will come with automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitors, and adaptive cruise control. A surround-view camera system will be available.

NEW JAGUAR I-PACE 2024 #jaguar #i_pace #car_2024
NEW JAGUAR I-PACE 2024 #jaguar #i_pace #car_2024 #new_jaguar
Debuts With Smoother Face, New Tech
It has the same 394-hp electric powertrain as before.
European and North American deliveries of the Jaguar I-Pace started in 2018 and now the electric crossover is entering a new model year with subtle visual changes and notable tech upgrades. We don’t have pricing available for the US market yet but we know the zero-emissions utility looks better than ever. This isn’t a regular large facelift but that doesn’t mean there are no improvements to talk about.
Starting with the exterior, the I-Pace gets a new front grille with a smoother form finished in Atlas Grey. This new simpler closed-off grille design replaces the previous mesh-type grille for a cleaner overall look. The same Atlas Grey finish can be also found on the vertical blades at the outside of the front air intakes integrated into the bumper. An updated version of Jaguar’s logo in black and silver takes a center stage on the front fascia.
If you go for the 400 Sport model, there’s a new subtle rear spoiler. There’s also a new family of diamond-cut alloy wheels with sizes of up to 22 inches, which can be ordered with self-healing all-season tires. Last but not least, Jaguar also offers a panoramic roof with the option for a black finish for the rear section for the first time.
No hardware upgrades to the powertrain are introduced for the new model year, which means the electric I-Pace continues to be powered by a dual-motor system. It generates a peak output of 394 horsepower (294 kilowatts) and accelerates the vehicle to 60 miles per hour (0-96 kilometers per hour) in just 4.5 seconds. Optionally available is an air suspension with electronically-controlled damping, which is standard on the 400 Sport model.
There’s no word about changes made to the battery pack, too. This means the 90 kWh battery will provide a range of up to 292 miles (470 kilometers) between two charges measured by Europe’s WLTP cycle. The fastest available charging is at up to 100 kW, while at home the 2024 I-Pace can be charged with up to 11 kW through a three-phase wall box charge.
The novelties inside the cabin include a standard Pivi Pro infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, as well as integrated Alexa voice control, Spotify, and what3words navigation system. Over-the-air software updates keep the software of the crossover always up to date.
