Trust in God's Presence and Power Isaiah 41:10 - "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand." In times of uncertainty, we often find ourselves fearful and anxious. However, God's Word reminds us not to be afraid. He is with us, and His presence brings comfort and strength. Trusting in God's power means acknowledging that He is in control, even when the world seems chaotic. Our faith in Him should outweigh our fear of circumstances. 2. Finding Refuge and Strength in God Psalm 46:1 - "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." God is not distant, but a "very present help" in times of trouble. He is our refuge, a safe place where we can find shelter from life's storms. When we feel overwhelmed, we must turn to Him in prayer and seek His strength. In Him, we discover the resilience to face any challenge that comes our way. 3. Recognizing the Signs of the Times Matthew 24:6-7 - "And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom." These verses remind us that as believers, we should be aware of the signs of the times. While we should not be consumed by fear, we should be discerning and watchful. Understanding the state of the world allows us to be better prepared and engaged in God's work in these tumultuous times. 4. Trusting in God's Guidance Proverbs 3:5-6 - "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths." Our wisdom is limited, but God's wisdom is boundless. Trusting in Him means surrendering our own understanding and relying on His guidance. When we acknowledge Him in all our ways, we invite His direction into our lives. In uncertain times, seek God's wisdom through prayer and His Word. 5. Finding Joy in Trials James 1:2-4 - "My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing." Trials can be seen as opportunities for spiritual growth. Though they may be difficult, we are encouraged to find joy in them. Trials refine our faith, producing patience and perseverance. In the end, they make us more complete and mature in our relationship with God. 6. Surrendering Our Cares to God 1 Peter 5:7 - "Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you." We are not meant to carry the weight of our worries alone. Instead, we should cast our cares upon the Lord, knowing that He cares deeply for us. Through prayer, we release our anxieties and concerns into His capable hands, finding peace and rest in His care. 7. God's Promise of Protection Isaiah 43:2 - "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you." God promises His protection during life's trials. Just as He was with the Israelites through the Red Sea and the fiery furnace, He will be with us. Even in the midst of adversity, His presence ensures our safety and preservation. 8. Dwelling in God's Secret Place Psalm 91:1-2 - "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in Him I will trust.'" This secret place signifies an intimate and close relationship with God. As we dwell in His presence, we find refuge and shelter under His protective wing. It is a place of unwavering trust, where we declare, "He is my refuge and my fortress." In times of turmoil, let us retreat to this secret place through prayer and meditation on God's Word. 9. The Spirit of Power, Love, and a Sound Mind 2 Timothy 1:7 - "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." Fear is not from God. Instead, He has given us a spirit of power, love, and a sound mind. In times of uncertainty, we can tap into this divine spirit, finding the strength to face adversity, the love to show compassion to others, and the clarity of mind to make wise decisions. 10. God's Sovereign Plan Romans 8:28 - "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose." Ultimately, we can take solace in the knowledge that God's plan is sovereign. Even in the midst of storms, He works all things together for the good of those who love Him. As believers, we are called according to His purpose, and in our obedience, we can trust that He is orchestrating events for His glory and our benefit. In conclusion, dear brothers and sisters, as we prepare our hearts and minds for the storms that may come, let us remember these fundamental truths from God's Word. Trust in God's presence and power, find refuge and strength in Him, remain watchful, seek His guidance, find joy in trials, surrender your cares, rely on His protection, dwell in His secret place, embrace His spirit, and trust in His sovereign plan. If we follow what the scripture says, we can easily identify a fellow Christian. There are many who claim Christ, but who will be told, “depart from me, I never knew you” on that faithful day. First and foremost, someone has to confess with their mouth and believe in their heart that Jesus is Lord of their life and of all things. There is only one way to the Father and that is through the Son. We must also use discernment and test each spirit. 1 John 4 says this: Test the Spirits - “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out.” A Christian lives a lifestyle of repentance and when we miss it, we are convicted by the Holy Spirit and repent. We confess our sins to one another and turn from them. Here are a few of the main ways to know if someone is a Christian. 1. The are known by there fruit. The fruit of the Spirit is: Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, Self-control. If someone exudes these and makes the daily effort to die to flesh and follow the ways of Jesus Christ, that is one way to tell. If they continually exude the anti-fruit than they don’t have good fruit. What might be considered an "antifruit," would be actions or behaviors that go against these virtues, such as the acts of the sinful nature mentioned in the same chapter of Galatians. 2. Known by our love. John 13:34-35 says: “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” If someone is unloving and unkind, they are ungodly. It’s very clear about this. 3. A Christian follows the commandments of Jesus Christ and His Word. In John 14:15-31st says thus: “If you love me, you will obey my commandments. I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, who will stay with you forever.” 4. If someone is in Christ, they have repented of past sin and unrighteousness and turned away from it. 2 CORINTHIANS 5:17 says this: “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things have become new.” 5. They are not someone who gossips, causes division, seeks to malign or destroy someone else. They are not self seeking, manipulative, haughty, mean-spirited, jealous, narcissistic, controlling, or anything close to these types of behaviors. The Bible addresses the issue of causing division in several places, emphasizing the importance of unity and harmony within the Christian community and Body of Christ. Here are some key points: 1. **Romans 16:17-18**: Apostle Paul warns the believers to "watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned." He advises them to keep away from such people, describing them as serving their own appetites and deceiving the naive with smooth talk and flattery. 2. **1 Corinthians 1:10-13**: Paul appeals for unity in the church, urging the Corinthians to agree with one another and not to be divided. He emphasizes the importance of being perfectly united in mind and thought, pointing out the folly of following different leaders in a divisive manner. 3. **Titus 3:10-11**: Paul advises Titus to warn a divisive person once, then twice, and after that to have nothing to do with them. He explains that such a person is warped and sinful and self-condemned. 4. **James 3:14-16**: James speaks about the dangers of envy and selfish ambition, noting that where they exist, there is disorder and every evil practice. This suggests that selfish or envious motives often lead to division and conflict. 5. **Proverbs 6:16-19**: This passage lists things the Lord hates, and among them is "a person who stirs up conflict in the Body”. Divisiveness, especially when it stems from self-interest, pride, or false teachings, is viewed as contrary to the spirit of Christian fellowship and love. These are some very important elements of determining if someone is a Christian or not. The types of vicious online attacks on believers and constant vitriol is a sign of brokenness and misunderstanding of what it means to be a Christian. There should always be an attempt to find a place of agreement and/or even love and blessing eachother rather than looking like crazy people online as the world is watching. This doesn’t mean we ever compromise or accept sin, nor cave to it. Just because we are called to love each other, doesn’t mean we have to hang out or be friends with everyone. God knew that Christians would argue about their interpretations of Scripture. Therefore, He had Paul write this to Timothy: “Warn them before God against quarreling about words; it is of no value, and only ruins those who listen” (2 Tim. 2:14 NIV). Can we please adhere to these scriptures and uphold the standard of God’s Word? I believe this will be a game changer if we do this! Philippians 4:8 says this: “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.” A Christian is commissioned to be a soul winner. We should all care about souls and make soul winning a priority. "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age" (Matthew 28:19-20).

Pastor Todd begins by informing us that the book of Revelation is coming alive before our eyes, and God expects us to be disciplined in our hearts and minds, and not live in fear of the culture. He believes that the powers that be have been testing out ways they can use to control humanity, but we should rest assured that God is with us and He will never forsake us. Also, he makes us understand that we must always have a message of hope as Christians and admits that we haven’t done a good job as the body of Christ, because there’s so much filth around us that requires our attention, but we’ve turned a blind eye to it. Moving on, Pastor Todd insists we must exude the joy of the Lord, not be engulfed in the bad things happening around us, but be aware of the move of God around us, and also realize that all the crazy things happening around us, are not our future. Further on, Joseph recounts his earlier prophecy concerning Vegas and insists that there’s a sense of hope he feels in the middle of all that’s happening and in all that is to come. Pastor Todd weighs in on this, revealing that we have the authority in Jesus to abort the plans of the enemy, and just because the evil ones have a plan does not mean their plans will pull through; therefore we’re expected to engage in intercessory prayers for the Lord’s intervention. Similarly, Joseph uses the word of God from the Book of Mathew 24:19-20, to remind us that there’s an imminent event coming, regardless, God also instructs us in verse twenty, to pray that this event doesn't happen in certain periods; which he believes alludes to the power of intercessory prayer. Pastor Todd, on the other hand, agrees with this, explaining that the warning is clear and that, it’s important we begin to hear from the Lord. He makes us understand that the easiest way to hear from the Lord is to read the word of God frequently. Also, he explains that not only do we need to hear from the Lord, but also hearken to it when we do, because faith is the currency for everyone who believes in God. In addition, Pastor Todd engages in powerful prophetic ministration, regarding marriages, prodigal children, fear, and anxiety. He informs us that the Lord doesn't want us to doubt, and because the enemy cannot steal our faith, he tries to use fear and anxiety to distract and limit us. He further declares that we will well up in our faith and the root of this fear and anxiety will not go with us into the next year. Moreso, Joseph Z bears more prophetic messages for us, disclosing that the Lord assures that he will restore all the years that the locust has eaten, and there will be good news on the heels of this season. Pastor Todd concludes by letting us know that the heaviness we feel is the plan of the enemy, and urges us to always have the joy of the Lord in our hearts. He then prays for the joy of the Lord and more fire in the service of God.
