Launch of NASA’s Time-Resolved Observations of Precipitation structure and storm Intensity with a Constellation of Smallsats (TROPICS) mission is now targeted for 9 p.m. EDT, Sunday, May 7 (0100 UTC, Monday May 8) from Rocket Lab’s Launch Complex-1 in Māhia, New Zealand. NASA and Rocket Lab will launch two CubeSats into orbit for the TROPICS (Time-Resolved Observations of Precipitation structure and storm Intensity with a Constellation of Smallsats) mission. TROPICS is a constellation of four identical CubeSats designed to observe tropical cyclones from low Earth orbit, making observations more frequently than current weather tracking satellites. A second launch from Rocket Lab will carry two additional CubeSats, with exact launch times contingent on the date and time of the first launch.

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (FOX 2) - Mark Latunski, the man accused of a grisly murder and cannibalism of a Michigan man on Christmas Day. will spend the rest of his life in prison after pleading guilty to murder. Latunski pleaded guilty on Thursday, Sept. 22, just three weeks before he was due to go to trial on charges of murder and mutilation of a dead body. Nearly a month later, he was in court for a hearing where a Shiawassee County judge listened to both his defense team and the prosecutor's office as they discussed the sentence he would receive. The hearing took two days and started on Tuesday but carried over into Wednesday morning. It included his interview with police where he gave gruesome details about Bacon's death. The court found Latunski guilty of 1st-degree premeditated murder ahead of his sentencing set to be held at a later date. Latunski was found competent to stand trial after authorities say he murdered 25-year-old Kevin Bacon and was due to appear in court on Oct. 13 for a plea hearing ahead of his Oct. 18 trial date. Family members reported Bacon missing on Christmas in 2019 after he did not show up for breakfast. His roommate said he went to visit a man he met on Grindr the night before. This information led investigators to Latunski's Shiawassee County home. Scholars of the Clinton Body Count posit that there are spikes in deaths around key scandals in the Clintons’ political careers. He also had a gunshot wound to his chest but no gun was found anywhere near his body at the Heifer Ranch in Perryville, Arkansas. In fact, the gun that fired the fatal shot was never recovered. Middleton was President Bill Clinton’s “fixer” during his presidency and was found dead shortly after it was revealed that he was the man who introduced Clinton to Jeffrey Epstein and who admitted the notorious pedophile to the Clinton White House on 17 occasions. Like Bill Clinton, he also flew on Epstein’s “Lolita Express” private jet numerous times, according to The Daily Mail who state the controversial ruling on Middleton’s death “raises more questions than answers as it rules he died by suicide – despite no sign of the weapon that killed him.” And they are not wrong. You will need to take advantage of a new breathing mechanic introduced in this Tall Tale to stay in the water long enough to discover the Black pearl. Be on the lookout for tall spired plants that emit bubbles. Swimming near these plants and in the bubbles they produce will refill your oxygen, allowing you to stay below the water’s surface for longer.

A SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket carrying three satellites aborted an attempted launch at the last minute late Friday (April 28). Sea of Thieves is a cooperative multiplayer action-adventure video game developed by Rare and published by Microsoft Studios. The game takes place in an open-world environment where players assume the roles of pirates sailing the seas, searching for treasure, fighting other pirates, and encountering various sea creatures and supernatural entities. The gameplay revolves around completing quests, exploring islands, battling other players or AI-controlled enemies, and upgrading your ship and equipment. The game also features a dynamic weather system and a day-night cycle that can affect gameplay. Sea of Thieves was released for Microsoft Windows and Xbox One in March 2018, and has since received several major updates and expansions, including the "A Pirate's Life" expansion, which features characters and elements from the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. The recognition of a new State or Government is an act that only other States and Governments may grant or withhold. It generally implies readiness to assume diplomatic relations. The United Nations is neither a State nor a Government, and therefore does not possess any authority to recognize either a State or a Government. As an organization of independent States, it may admit a new State to its membership or accept the credentials of the representatives of a new Government. The procedure is briefly as follows: The State submits an application to the Secretary-General and a letter formally stating that it accepts the obligations under the Charter. The Security Council considers the application. Any recommendation for admission must receive the affirmative votes of 9 of the 15 members of the Council, provided that none of its five permanent members — China, France, the Russian Federation, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the United States of America — have voted against the application. If the Council recommends admission, the recommendation is presented to the General Assembly for consideration. A two-thirds majority vote is necessary in the Assembly for admission of a new State. Membership becomes effective the date the resolution for admission is adopted. At each session, the General Assembly considers the credentials of all representatives of Member States participating in that session. During such consideration, which routinely takes place first in the nine-member Credentials Committee but can also arise at other times, the issue can be raised whether a particular representative has been accredited by the Government actually in power. This issue is ultimately decided by a majority vote in the Assembly. It should be noted that the normal change of Governments, as through a democratic election, does not raise any issues concerning the credentials of the representative of the State concerned. What Are Extreme Risk Laws? Red flag laws seek to temporarily remove guns and prohibit future purchases of gun for those individuals who have been identified as being in crisis and presenting a significant risk of harming themselves or the community at large. There are two opposing views to the passage of red flags laws. This week, I will be examining the arguments in favor of and in opposition of red flag laws. APM Research Lab conducted a study of 1,000 American adults from July 16 to 21, 2019. This was just two weeks prior to the mass shootings in El Paso, Texas and Dayton, Ohio.[i] The study found that over three-fourths of those surveyed supported family-initiated red flag laws. For police-initiated red flag laws the support dropped slightly to seventy (70%) percent.[ii] The Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence reports in their fact sheet on red flag laws that two other studies conducted in 2015 and 2017 had similar results from those polled.[iii] Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina has publicly declared his support of passage of red flag laws at the state level.[iv] Following the shootings in El Paso, Texas and Dayton, Ohio, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell from Kentucky and Senator Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut have expressed their support for red flag laws.[v] The advocates of red flags laws promote the limited number of people who can request the protective order from a court. The laws limit the individuals who can request the order to law enforcement or family members. However, some states have expanded the list of individuals to include romantic partners or cohabitants.[vi] Proponents of red flag laws state that a judge can order the temporary removal of guns from an individual once evidence has been presented that shows the individual is a risk of inflicting harm on himself or the public at large. The judge can issue the order prior to a hearing on an ex parte basis, but the individual is entitled to a hearing and the opportunity to present his own evidence refuting the petition’s allegations.[vii] This temporary removal of guns will save lives is the argument made.[viii] Proponents of the laws also state that the current laws in effect require evidence to be presented before the order can be issued and include punishments for filing false petitions. The punishments may include fines or jail time.[ix]
