Prepping Stream with panel including FastGroup and Steve Gosney
Prepping, short for "preparation," refers to the practice of individuals or groups taking steps to prepare for a variety of potential emergencies or disasters, such as natural disasters, economic crises, power outages, or even societal breakdowns. Preppers typically seek to become self-reliant and self-sufficient to better handle adverse situations. The level of preparedness can vary widely, from basic emergency planning to more extensive and long-term strategies.
Here are some common aspects of prepping:
Food and Water Storage: Preppers often store non-perishable food items and clean drinking water to sustain themselves and their families during emergencies. This can include canned goods, dried foods, and water purification methods.
Shelter and Clothing: Ensuring adequate shelter, clothing, and bedding for various weather conditions is crucial. Some preppers may have backup generators or alternative heating sources.
Emergency Medical Supplies: Basic first aid kits and medical supplies are essential. More advanced preppers may learn first aid and basic medical procedures.
Security and Self-Defense: Some preppers focus on personal safety and may acquire self-defense skills and weapons for protection. This can include firearms, personal alarms, or self-defense training.
Energy Sources: Alternative power sources, such as solar panels, generators, and backup batteries, can be important for maintaining electricity during power outages.
Communication: Preppers often have means of communication, like radios (including ham radios), to stay informed about the situation and contact others.
Financial Preparedness: Preppers may set aside an emergency fund, invest in precious metals, or develop skills that are marketable in a crisis.
Skills and Knowledge: Learning survival skills, such as foraging, hunting, and basic agriculture, is a fundamental part of prepping. Knowledge of first aid, navigation, and other practical skills is also valuable.
Bug-Out Plan: Many preppers have a plan for evacuating their homes (a "bug-out" plan) if the situation becomes too dangerous or unsustainable. This includes having a "bug-out bag" with essential items.
Community and Networking: Some preppers join or form communities or networks of like-minded individuals to share knowledge, resources, and support in times of need.
It's important to note that while prepping can provide a sense of security and preparedness, it's not without its criticisms and controversies. Some view it as an overreaction to relatively low-probability events, and there are concerns about hoarding and a lack of community focus in some cases.
Ultimately, prepping is a personal choice, and the level of preparedness one pursues can vary widely based on individual beliefs, values, and perceived risks. If you decide to engage in prepping, it's advisable to stay well-informed, have a balanced approach, and ensure your preparations align with your unique circumstances and needs.

How to Build a Nuclear Bomb - EDUCATIONAL
Nuclear bombs, also known as atomic bombs or nuclear weapons, are extremely powerful explosive devices that derive their destructive force from nuclear reactions. These weapons release an immense amount of energy in the form of an explosion, radiation, and heat. The two primary types of nuclear bombs are fission bombs and fusion bombs:
Fission Bombs (Atomic Bombs):
Fission bombs work by splitting the nuclei of heavy atoms, typically uranium-235 (U-235) or plutonium-239 (Pu-239). This process is called nuclear fission.
When a fission bomb is detonated, a chain reaction of nuclear fission occurs, releasing a vast amount of energy in the form of an explosion, radiation, and heat.
The most well-known fission bomb is the "Little Boy" bomb, dropped on Hiroshima, Japan, during World War II in 1945.
Fusion Bombs (Thermonuclear or Hydrogen Bombs):
Fusion bombs are more powerful than fission bombs. They use a two-stage process: a fission primary (similar to a fission bomb) triggers a secondary fusion stage.
In the fusion stage, the nuclei of light atoms, typically isotopes of hydrogen like deuterium and tritium, combine to form heavier elements, releasing an even greater amount of energy than fission alone.
The "Tsar Bomba" tested by the Soviet Union in 1961 is one of the most powerful thermonuclear bombs ever detonated.
Nuclear bombs have the potential to cause widespread destruction, create radioactive fallout, and inflict long-lasting harm to the environment and human health. Their use has profound ethical, humanitarian, and strategic implications. International agreements, such as the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT), aim to limit the proliferation and use of nuclear weapons.
It's important to note that the use of nuclear weapons is a highly controversial and widely condemned practice, and there are efforts worldwide to reduce and eliminate nuclear arsenals to prevent the catastrophic consequences of their use.

MightyMeat Meatia News Roundup!
NEW YORK (AP) — U.S. Sen. Bob Menendez of New Jersey was charged Thursday with conspiring for years to act as an agent of the Egyptian government while he held a powerful role in shaping U.S. foreign policy, putting the Democrat in deeper legal trouble as he continues to reject calls to resign.
The superseding indictment, filed in Manhattan federal court, accuses Menendez of violating the Foreign Agents Registration Act, which requires people to register with the U.S. government if they act as “an agent of a foreign principal.” As a member of Congress, Menendez was prohibited from being an agent of a foreign government.
The new charge comes weeks after Menendez and his wife were accused of accepting bribes of cash, gold bars and a luxury car from three New Jersey businessmen who wanted the senator’s help and influence over foreign affairs.
The new indictment says a conspiracy occurred from January 2018 to June 2022, alleging that Menendez “promised to take and took a series of acts on behalf of Egypt, including on behalf of Egyptian military and intelligence officials.” It said he conspired to do so with his wife, Nadine, and a business associate and fellow defendant, Wael Hana.

Communication Cable & pipeline between Finland and Estonia damaged #breakingnews
Is NATO Article V on the table?
HELSINKI/BRUSSELS, Oct 11 (Reuters) - NATO will discuss damage to a gas pipeline and data cable running between member states Finland and Estonia, and will mount a "determined" response if a deliberate attack is proven, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said on Wednesday.
Damage to the Balticconnector pipeline and telecommunications cable was confirmed on Tuesday after one of the two pipeline operators, Finland's Gasgrid, noted a drop in pressure and possible leak on Sunday night during a storm.

Helsinki, which is investigating, has said the damage was probably caused by "outside activity". That has stoked concern over regional energy security and pushed gas prices higher.
"The important thing now is to establish what happened and how this could happen," Stoltenberg told reporters in Brussels ahead of a meeting of the military alliance.
"If it is proven to be a deliberate attack on NATO-critical infrastructure then this will be, of course, serious, but it will also be met by a united and determined response from NATO."

Finland's National Bureau of Investigation said "external marks" had been found on the seabed beside the damaged pipeline and that it was reviewing the movements of vessels in the area at the time of the rupture.
"We are now focusing on the technical investigation of the pipe damage site and examining the seabed at the scene," bureau chief Robin Lardot told reporters on Wednesday.
Risto Lohi, the bureau's chief investigator, told a news conference that anchor damage had not been ruled out, adding: "At the moment it looks like the damage was caused by mechanical force, not an explosion."

Matheau Moore Trial - Week 4 - Murder Mondays
A man allegedly murdered his wife and made it look like a suicide. Matheau Moore, 51, stands trial in Delaware County, Ohio.
Wife Emily Noble, 52, was last seen on her birthday: May 24, 2020. She was reported missing the next day. Her body turned up in tragic and grisly fashion the following Sept. 16. She was found hanging from a tree in a wooded area near her home. There was reportedly a 20-inch USB cord around her neck. There were multiple injuries to her head and neck. Authorities determined that this was homicide.
Noble was so badly decomposed authorities had to use dental records to identify her.
Prosecutors argue Moore killed her and staged the hanging. He faces charges of murder and felonious assault.
Moore’s previous wife Lisa Pedersen told WBNS in a June 2021 report that he once choked her when she was pregnant with their first son. It was New Year’s Day 2001, she said. They had been married three months.
“He came over, and he did, for some reason, he ended up, yeah, putting his hands around my neck,” she reportedly said. “And he started to choke me.”
It was the only time he put a hand on her, and they kept in touch throughout the years, Pedersen said. Though they maintained contact, she noted that he, contrary to contemporaneous media reports, claimed to be participating in the search for Noble.
“Once the details were made clear to me, I started to lean toward his guilt,” she said.
Both of their sons are now dead, according to WBNS. One of the children reportedly died at 17 by hanging in a park the summer before Noble’s disappearance.

Israel Palestine conflict update for Sunday, is Israel overmatched, will they fall?
An unconscious woman taken hostage by Gaza militants attacking an Israeli music festival was seen being paraded around the coastal enclave in new video authenticated and geolocated by CNN.
CNN has confirmed the identity of the woman as Shani Louk, a German-Israeli dual national. CNN has reached out to her family for comment but has not yet received a response.
Her cousin confirmed to The Washington Post that Louk attended the Nova Festival, an all night dance party celebrating the Israeli harvest festival Sukkot near Re'im, Israel.
Louk is seen motionless in the video.
One gunman, carrying a rocket propelled grenade, has his leg draped over her waist; the other holds a clump of her dreadlocks. "Allahu Akbar," they cheer – "God is Great," in Arabic.
Some of the crowd gathered around the truck, just outside of the Al-Shalfoh bakery and grocery store, join in the cheers. One man spits on Louk's head as the car drives off.
CNN does not know Louk's whereabouts, or condition, at this time. CNN is not airing the video because it is graphic and disturbing.
“We recognized her by the tattoos, and she has long dreadlocks,” Louk's cousin told The Washington Post.
US aviation officials have issued a special bulletin to pilots and airlines operating near Tel Aviv, urging “extreme caution.”
“Potentially hazardous situation – Israeli Airspace,” reads the Federal Aviation Administration’s notice to pilots, known officially as a NOTAM.
“Due to the ongoing conflict situation between Israel and Gaza, operators are advised to exercise extreme caution when operating within the Tel-Aviv flight information region.”
“Flight crews should remain in contact with air traffic control at all times,” the notice says, underscoring the possibility of “airspace closures.”
The FAA notice follows an earlier alert from the Civil Aviation Authority of Israel telling pilots and airlines to use caution, expect delays, and “calculate fuel accordingly.”

Panel on the Israel - Palestine - Updates from Israel, what's next and politicians capitalize
Israel's Minister of Defense Yoav Gallant expanded the country's "special security situation" to the entirety of Israel's territory late Saturday, according to his communications office.
This enables the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) to provide security instructions to civilians and to close public sites as needed for security, the minister's office said.
A “special security situation” area, within an 80-kilometer (48-mile) radius of the Gaza Strip, had been established earlier on Saturday.
Today we saw the face of evil. The Hamas (terrorist organization) has launched a brutal attack against the citizens of the State of Israel - attacking men, women, children, and the elderly, indiscriminately," Gallant said in a statement.
"Hamas will understand very quickly that it has made a mistake - a grave mistake and will pay a (heavy) price," he said.
Latest attacks: The defense minister's statement comes after Gaza militants fired a fresh round of rockets on Saturday evening, making direct hits on multiple locations inside Israel, including in Tel Aviv, according to Israeli authorities.
In a Telegram post, the armed wing of Hamas — the militant group designated as a terrorist organization by the United States, European Union, and Israel — said it had fired an additional 150 rockets in response to the bombing of a residential tower in Gaza City.
A vow of change: In his statement, Gallant claimed he had been close to destroying Hamas 15 years ago, when he headed the military's Southern Command, but that he was stopped by "the political echelon."
"This phenomenon will not continue. We will change reality on the ground in Gaza for the next 50 years," he continued. "What was before will be no more. We will operate at full force."
"I ask Israel's citizens to remain determined and to support our security forces,” he added.

Hamas continues to attack Israel - Updates and thoughts on what caused this
Gaza and Jerusalem
—
Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared that the country was “at war” on Saturday, after Palestinian militants in Gaza fired a deadly barrage of rockets and sent gunmen into Israeli territory in a major escalation of the long running conflict between the two sides.
Militants launched about 2,200 rockets from the Gaza Strip into Israel, according to the Israeli military, while armed gunmen infiltrated into Israel by land, sea and air – in paragliders. Multiple explosions were heard over Jerusalem, Tel Aviv and in southern Israel – some blasts likely the interceptions of incoming rockets – while air raids sent Israelis pouring into underground shelters.
The Israeli military said Hamas had taken “hostages and prisoners of war” but did not give a figure.
By the early afternoon, some 70 were dead and hundreds more were injured in Israel, according to Israel’s rescue service Magen David Adom (MDA).
Israel responded by launching strikes on what it called Hamas targets in Gaza. The Palestinian health ministry said that nearly 200 Palestinians had been killed and 1,610 injured, but did not say where the deaths occurred or whether the toll included Hamas militants or civilians in Gaza.
Video shows the Palestine Tower, a high-rise building with two annexes in Gaza City, hit by an explosion and collapse.

Netanyahu said operations were under way to clear out militants from infiltrated towns and that he had also issued a call-up of reservists.
“We are at war, not in an operation or in rounds, but at war,” Netanyahu said in a video statement, adding that Hamas, the Palestinian militant movement that runs Gaza, had “launched a murderous surprise attack against the state of Israel and its citizens.”
The surprise assault on Saturday was unprecedented in recent history in its scale and scope, falling on the 50th anniversary of the 1973 War in which Arab states blitzed Israel on Yom Kippur, the holiest day of the Jewish calendar.
Israel Defense Forces (IDF) spokesman Lt Col Richard Hecht said in a briefing that Israeli forces “are fighting on the ground as we speak,” listing multiple locations where fighting was taking place, including several villages, army bases and border crossings.
Hecht declined to answer repeated questions from journalists about whether the IDF had missed intelligence that the attack was coming.
Dubbing the operation “Al-Aqsa Storm,” Hamas military commander Muhammad Al-Deif said in a recorded message that the group had “targeted the enemy positions, airports and military positions with 5,000 rockets” and that the assault on Israel was a response to attacks on women, the desecration of the al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem and the ongoing siege of Gaza.
“If you have a gun, get it out. This is the time to use it – get out with trucks, cars, axes, today the best and most honorable history starts,” Al-Deif added.
The attacks by Hamas follow one of the deadliest periods in the Israeli-occupied West Bank in nearly two decades. The violence has been driven by frequent Israeli military raids in Palestinian towns and cities, which Israel has said are a necessary response to a rising number of attacks by Palestinian militants on Israelis.
They also come at a moment of deep division in Israel, months after the government pushed through a contentious plan to reduce the power of the country’s courts, sparking a social and political crisis. The move this summer also struck a nerve with the military, prompting many reservists – the backbone of Israel’s army – to warn they would not come if called up, to protest the changes to the judicial system. An IDF spokesperson said Saturday that he did not know of any reservists refusing to be called up in the face of the latest attacks.

Israel Under Attack
JERUSALEM — Palestinian militants in the Gaza Strip on Saturday carried out what appeared to be an unprecedented infiltration into southern Israel, prompting Israel to order residents across the region to remain indoors. The infiltration took place as militants fired dozens of rockets into Israel.
The Israeli military said "a number of terrorists have infiltrated into Israeli territory." It gave no further details, but amateur videos posted on social media showed what appeared to be uniformed gunmen inside the Israeli border town of Sderot. The sound of gunfire could be heard in the videos, whose authenticity could not immediately be verified.
The infiltration came as militants in the Gaza Strip launched dozens of rockets toward Israel early Saturday, setting off air raid sirens across the country and raising the likelihood of a new round of heavy fighting.
The sound of outgoing rockets whooshing through the air could be heard in Gaza and sirens wailed as far away as Tel Aviv, some 70 kilometers (40 miles) to the north, during an early morning barrage that lasted more than 30 minutes. Israel's Magen David Adom rescue agency said a 70-year-old woman was critically injured when a rocket hit a building in southern Israel. Elsewhere, a 20-year-old man was moderately injured by rocket shrapnel, it said.
As the rocket attacks continued throughout southern and central Israel, millions of Israelis were instructed to stay near bomb shelters in their homes and apartment buildings. The army said residents next to Gaza should stay in their homes due to the "security incident."
Palestinian media in Gaza reported a possible attempt by militants to infiltrate Israel, but no further details were immediately known.
There was no immediate response from Israel. But the Israeli military usually carries out airstrikes in response to rocket fire, raising the likelihood of wider fighting. Although there was no claim of responsibility for the rocket fire, Israel typically holds the ruling Hamas militant group responsible for any fire emanating from the territory.
The launches came after weeks of heightened tensions along Israel's volatile border with Gaza, and heavy fighting in the Israeli-occupied West Bank.
Israel has maintained a blockade over Gaza since Hamas, an Islamic militant group that opposes Israel, seized control of the territory in 2007. The bitter enemies have fought four wars since then. There have also been numerous rounds of smaller fighting between Israel and Hamas and other smaller militant groups based in Gaza.
The blockade, which restricts the movement of people and goods in and out of Gaza, has devastated the territory's economy. Israel says the blockade is needed to keep militant groups from building up their arsenals. The Palestinians say the closure amounts to collective punishment.
The rocket fire comes during a period of heavy fighting in the West Bank, where nearly 200 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli military raids this year. Israel says the raids are aimed at militants, but stone-throwing protesters and people uninvolved in the violence have also been killed. Palestinian attacks on Israeli targets have killed over 30 people.
The tensions have also spread to Gaza, where Hamas-linked activists held violent demonstrations along the Israeli border in recent weeks. Those demonstrations were halted in late September after international mediation.

EVERYTHING IS FINE
he U.S. nuclear arsenal comprises thousands of nuclear weapons and three methods of delivery, sometimes called “legs.” Warheads can be launched from the air via strategic bombers carrying gravity bombs or cruise missiles, from the sea by submarines holding ballistic missiles, or from underground silos housing intercontinental ballistic missiles. Collectively, these delivery methods are referred to as “the Triad.” Currently all three legs of the Triad are being modernized at a cost of $494 billion, or about $50 billion every year from 2019 to 2028.
The United States has stated it must maintain all three legs of the Triad in order to support the policy of deterrence — the credible threat of retaliation if it or an ally is attacked. The argument is that the Triad enables a second-strike capability — the ability to retaliate in the event of a nuclear attack — as each leg is a hedge against the failure of another.
However, a debate has emerged among lawmakers and policy experts about whether the land-based leg of the Triad is still necessary or desirable. A recent survey found that many Americans support phasing out our land-based missiles because they are “outdated, destabilizing, and very expensive.”
How many?
The United States currently maintains around 5,800 nuclear warheads in its arsenal. Of these, about 3,800 are active warheads and 2,000 have been retired and are awaiting dismantlement. The inventory of deployed delivery systems consists of 66 bombers as well as dual-capable fighter aircrafts; 14 ballistic missile submarines; and 400 silos for intercontinental ballistic missiles.
Air
There are two distinct nuclear weapons systems delivered by plane: nuclear air-launched cruise missiles (ALCMs), which are guided and highly accurate, and gravity bombs, which require a plane to deploy them near a desired target. B-52 bombers carry nuclear-tipped ALCMs and B-2 stealth bombers have gravity bomb capabilities. Currently there are 20 B-2s and 46 B-52s deployed.
The B-2 can carry up to 16 nuclear bombs like the B61-7, B61-11, and B83-1 gravity bombs. Each B-52 bomber carries up to 20 ALCMs like the AGM-86B.
Current nuclear modernization plans include continued production of a new gravity bomb (B61-12) and a new nuclear cruise missile known as the Long Range Standoff Weapon (LRSO). The Air Force is also designing the B-21 “Raider” to replace the B-2 and B-52s, as well as the F-35 to replace the F-16 as the United States’ key nuclear-capable fighter aircraft.
Sea
The sea leg of the Triad currently consists of 14 Ohio-class ballistic missile submarines (SSBNs). These submarines are capable of firing ballistic missiles from submerged positions to hit an intended target. Current U.S. SSBNs can launch up to 20 nuclear-capable ballistic missiles with multiple warheads per missile. The Trident II D5 missile is the latest generation SSBN and can travel more than 7,000 kilometers. The sea leg of the triad is often considered the most essential, since submarines are difficult to track and destroy.
The Ohio-class SSBNs will be replaced by the Columbia-class SSBN in the early 2030s and includes 12 scheduled submarines slotted for production. As of now, this modernization will cost around $109.8 billion.
Ground
The Triad’s land-based leg is composed of 400 deployed Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs). U.S. ICBMs are housed in underground silos in Montana, North Dakota and Wyoming, but silos stretch into Colorado and Nebraska as well. Each ICBM carries one warhead each — usually the W87 or the W78 — but can hold two or three warheads each. ICBMs remain on prompt alert, meaning they can be launched in minutes.
Nuclear modernization plans include a replacement for the Minuteman III called the Ground-Based Strategic Deterrent, and includes 400 new deployed missiles, modernization of the ICBM launch facilities and a total lifetime price tag of about $264 billion.
The static nature of ICBM silos makes them vulnerable to attack and increases the risk of miscalculation. If the United States detects an incoming attack or what looks like an incoming attack, there is psychological pressure to launch the ICBMs before they can be destroyed in their silos — a sort of “use them or lose them” mentality. It is the combination of the vulnerability of ICBMs, the risk of miscalculation and the replacement cost that leads some experts to argue that the United States no longer needs a land-based nuclear weapon system.
