Two men were killed and six other people were injured Saturday night after a shooting at an "unpermitted" block party in Orange Mound, police said. Initially, Interim Memphis Police Chief C.J. Davis said 16 people were shot but the department has since updated that number to eight because "we believe the error occurred with several victims being reported multiple times."

The father of an 18-year-old killed in a shootout with Memphis police is speaking out about the case. That shootout happened Friday morning and resulted in the deaths of Officer Joseph McKinney and teen suspect Jaylen Lobley. Lobley’s father wants the body cam footage of the incident released.

A body has been discovered following the Thursday carjacking and kidnapping of a Homestead woman in Central Florida, Seminole County Sheriff Dennis M. Lemma confirmed at a news conference Friday.

Local police are reporting a school shooting at Wilmer-Hutchins High School in the southeast Dallas area, with one person in custody at this time. At least one student is reported as injured and taken to a local hospital.

One person is dead and multiple people were injured when a stolen 18-wheeler semi tractor trailer truck crashed into the Texas Dept. of Public Safety office. According to Texas DPS, the suspect has been identified as 42-year-old Clenard Parker. A Texas DPS Sergeant reports Parker arrived at the Texas DPS office in Brenham the day before and was denied his Commercial Driver's License. The staff told Parker he was not eligible to renew his license. Parker is facing multiple felony charges and is in custody. Brenham is located in Washington County, northwest of Houston.
