Missouri Black Ice causes Wrecks
Kelly Williamson of Live Storms Media captured several incidents of vehicles sliding off the roadway in the Cassville area after rounds of freezing rain moved through the area. Temperatures are in the 20's and it will be difficult to reach the freezing mark on this first day of December.

Massive Oregon Coastal Storm
Oregon was battered and beaten today by the most powerful coastal storm to hit the region in over 10 years. Wind gusts over hurricane force caused numerous power outages. Large swells over 25 feet caused some homes to be knocked off of coastal cliffs and into the water. Sea spray launched upwards of 40 feet sprayed pedestrians looking off of the cliff here in the Newport area. Central Mississippi Tornadic Storm and EXPLOSIVE Lightning Strike!
Strong storms and tornadoes tore through portions of Central Mississippi during the afternoon hours on the 23rd of December. A large tornado tracked from Columbia, Mississippi to the community of Sumrall where Brett Adair filmed the action occurring live. Tornadic vortex crossing county road 42 in Sumrall and a massive lightning strike that sounds like an explosion occurs.

Georgia Struck by November Tornadoes
Live Storms Media stringer, Brett Adair observed tornado damage in the Logan's Landing subdivision of Thomaston, Georgia this evening. Several homes sustained damage and one structure was completely destroyed and swept across the roadway. Numerous trees and power lines were also taken down.

Halloween 2014 High Winds in Illinois
LiveStormsMedia.com stringer, Shae Cohan captured images of high winds across parts of Central Illinois this evening where some trees were knocked down. Street signs were whipping and the lake was capping as the cold front brought wind gusts upwards of 50 mph. The first major freeze of the season is impacting much of the Great Lakes region with this system.

Lackawanna, New York Historic Snow!
Historic amounts of snowfall continue to come down across New York. This is the common scene in Lackawanna just south of Buffalo. The National Weather Service officially has 70 inches of snow in the forecast! Cars are stranded...people are walking...and roads are closed. These vehicles will be stranded for days. Alabama Tornado Does Damage...Causes Injuries
A tornado struck Troy, Alabama overnight. The mayor confirmed at least 5 injuries involved as the Walmart and Hibbetts Sports stores were hit on US-231. Donald Simmons was on scene as the tornado crossed the road and debris was dropped in front of his vehicle overnight.

Students and citizens ventured out into the first true winter storm in attempts to get to their destinations as the snow piled up. The scrapers and snow shovels were hard at work on campus.

Northeast Kansas Blowing Snow
Early the morning of 12-30-14, parts of Kansas were hit with a blanket of snow. Semi's were pulled off by the masses in parts of Salina on I-135 as blowing snow reduced visibility and made travel difficult. The snow is expected to calm down later in the afternoon. White Top Mountain, Virginia Novemeber Snow
Chris Rose captured heavy snow falling across portions of Virginia earlier today. Wind driven snowfall made travel very difficult as portions of the region received 6-10" snowfall totals. Further south into the Smokey Mountains, upwards of 2 feet fell on Mount LeConte in East Tennessee. Due to the weight of the snow, some trees and power lines came down causing outages. A hard freeze is on tap for these areas Saturday night. The snow on the ground will only make it that much worse.
