Massive Oregon Coastal Storm

LiveStormsMedia Published December 12, 2014

Rumble Oregon was battered and beaten today by the most powerful coastal storm to hit the region in over 10 years. Wind gusts over hurricane force caused numerous power outages. Large swells over 25 feet caused some homes to be knocked off of coastal cliffs and into the water. Sea spray launched upwards of 40 feet sprayed pedestrians looking off of the cliff here in the Newport area. Conditions are expected to improve later in the week, but the area has certainly experienced wild weather over the last 48 hours. Scenes brought to you by Sharon Biddinger of Live Storms Media.
