The King, a man who's respected and admired by all in Kookville (except Dominic), tells a little about himself.

Garyce is a hippie poet with a hidden rage problem. Here he explains how Kookville called to him.

Evelyn Sinclair, the First Lady of Plainville (better known as Kookville) talks about her life.

Dominic finds out his ex is now pregnant, then learns a little about why Kookville is the way it is.

Dominic winds up in an antiques store and meets with Anastasia, who has a special talent. It's a talent that Dominic doesn't really appreciate.

Jerome Hosquatch is Kookville's pre-eminent theater director, a man with vision and an uncompromising commitment, even though that commitment gets him into trouble all too often. He's directed in most major cities, even Off-Broadway, but his fall from grace led him to Kookville's stage.

The Press-Gazette's publisher volunteered Susannah and her crew to be a part of a documentary, meaning they'll be wandering the halls of her paper while she's trying to work, shoving a camera in her face. To make it worse, her ex-husband, someone she'd be happy to never see again, decides to show up with some unpleasant news.

Dominic's latest story tears into the King, a man who is loved and respected by members of the community. Susannah tries to explain to Dominic why this is a problem. She gets nowhere, so she decided to put Dominic in his place.

Garyce decides to tell the story of his life in a music video, how he left home, fell into addiction, and ended up in Kookville.

Garyce is Kookville's local poet-singer, and he's full of joy & love & angst & rage. Meeting him is the beginning of a beautiful (if annoying) new friendship for Dominic. Not that Dominic really wants it.

Dominic and his boss Susannah have drinks after work at the Stuck Pig. Susannah is in something of a good mood for once, so they end up talking about his job, how long he has left in Kookville, and what happened with his ex-girlfriend that led him to leave Atlanta.

Dominic ends up interviewing two oddballs who are all but inseparable. They hunt, they fish, and they have some interesting tales to tell, like how they caught a skunkape, and how they lost him.
