Dominic ends up interviewing two oddballs who are all but inseparable. They hunt, they fish, and they have some interesting tales to tell, like how they caught a skunkape, and how they lost him.

Joe Byers and Shannon Williams play Ernie and James, collectively known as the Skunkape Boys. They hunt, they fish, and occasionally catch real live skunkapes. They just can't keep ahold of them, mainly because they get drunk.

Dominic stumbles across one of the more morbid members of Kookville. Minnie is an axe wielding righter-of-wrongs in the local cemetery, and she enlists Dominic in her cause.

One of the odder residents of Kookville is The King, who has nothing but contempt for Dominic.
