Easter 2024 is upon us. It’s a time when most people in the western world acknowledge the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Christ, by the way, is not Jesus’s last name. The word Christ comes from the Greek word Christos, which is a translation of the Hebrew word, Messiah. And the words Christ and Messiah both mean “The Anointed One,” referring to the prophesied King and Savior. Bible scholars tell us that God instituted a new dispensation about 2000 years ago, which came through the Man Jesus – who – as the Bible points out, was also God in the flesh. Jesus himself fulfilled the Mosaic Law. He didn’t abolish it; he fulfilled it by keeping the whole law. It was because He was God in the flesh that He was able to keep the law. We, as sinful man, could not. And cannot. Additionally, being perfect, Jesus was also represented the spotless lamb required for a sin offering. He also represented the spotless lamb required for the Passover. And yet those who were self-righteous – the Priests and teachers of the day – who, as humans, were also insecure, rather than be curious and look into what Jesus was saying, they stuck with their own interpretations of the Mosaic Law and they had Jesus crucified. If you’ve read the Old Testament, you’ll probably know a spotless lamb was required for the Passover. You’ll also probably know a spotless lamb was required for a sin offering. In the sin offering, the death of the lamb covered one’s sins. And with the blood of the lamb at Passover, you’ll recall the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob had become slaves in Egypt, and God was bringing a plague of death across that land. As scripture tells us, God’s angel of death “passed over” a house if he saw the blood of the lamb on the doorposts. No one in a house that had the blood suffered death that night. That’s why they call it the Passover – the angel passed over houses with the blood. Also, if you read the New Testament, you know that when John the Baptist first saw Jesus coming to be baptized, he said, “Behold, the lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world.” Not just the sins of a person or a family, but for the whole world. So, being a sinless, spotless lamb, Jesus’s death covers our sins. Permanently. And also by being a sinless, spotless, lamb, Jesus became the Passover lamb, because He was crucified on Passover. In truth, Easter was part of the spring fertility and renewal festivals common in Rome. In the 4th century, the Roman emperor combined the celebration of Christ’s resurrection with those fertility celebrations. Hence the inclusion of rabbits and eggs for Easter. But that’s a whole different story for a different day. The main point is this: instead of people having to follow the Mosaic law to be saved from eternal damnation – which was impossible for us humans to do, by the way – we only have to receive the gift God gave to us: the redemptive sacrifice of God, where He made Himself a sin offering for us. Plus it was Jesus’s blood representing that of the Passover lamb. When my body stops breathing I will be with Jesus. And because I believe in His blood atoning for my sins, and because his sacrifice and blood serves as the sacrifice and blood of my Passover lamb, God will pass over me when it comes to the second death. It’s a simple matter of belief. There’s nothing we can do to earn anything. God did it all. By Jesus becoming our sin offering AND our Passover lamb, if we merely believe that his blood was shed for us, we will inherit eternal life. It’s as Jesus himself said it would be. During the last supper, Jesus said, “this cup is the NEW COVENANT, IN MY BLOOD.” It’s a new dispensation, and all we have to do is believe, So, when your physical body stop breathing, if you have believed in the gospel – which is spelled out for us in 1 Corinthians chapter 15 verses 1-4, that Jesus died for our sins according to the scripture, that he was buried, and that he rose again according to the scriptures – then by that belief you are saved. The gospel if found in many New Testament books, as well as old testament books such as Daniel and Isaiah. Events Happening Around Us Now Now, to events happening today. You would think that the leaders of America, which was founded on Christian principles, would gladly be proclaiming the resurrection of Jesus this Easter. It saddens me to have to report that the current White House administration has forbidden any Christian symbols in the Easter art contest for children of National Guard members – a contest the White House was putting on. This is a holiday that’s supposed to honor the death and resurrection of Jesus, but the White House is forbidding children to draw any pictures representing that. But it gets worse. As if to slap God in the face, Joseph Robinette Biden, Jr. has proclaimed Easter Sunday to be a Transgender Day of Visibility. This is not a joke. The proclamation is right there on the White House’s website. Of course, this is clearly a tactic of those who wish to dismantle our form of government. It’s also designed to provoke a reaction from Christians, some of whom may over-react. If that happens, the powers-that-be will say those over-reactions prove Christians are unstable and violent. We know Joe Biden didn’t come up with this. His handlers did. But still, what should Christians do? Between not allowing children to draw pictures representing Christ’s death and resurrection, and by proclaiming Easter to be a day for celebrating behaviors that God clearly states are an abomination, it safe to say that those in America’s Executive Branch are not honoring the principles of our Founders. Nor are they honoring the God who send His son to die for them. It is truly a slap in God’s face. How Christians Should Respond No protests are going to make a difference. And because so many people in our government are themselves corrupt, protesting may even cause a person to be labeled a domestic terrorist, despite the right to protest being enshrined in our Constitution. No, the best response, and the only way to really make a difference is to pray. God hears every prayer, so pray. In case you don’t know, prayer is simple a fancy word for talking with God. So talk with God. Ask him to forgive those in the upper echelons of our government and for them to turn their hearts back toward him. Also pray that if they won’t turn back to God, ask God for them to be voted out of office and replaced with God-fearing people. Yes, prayer needs to be our response. For those who are appointed and not elected to various positions, pray that God-fearing people replace them, too. If you’re a God-fearing person, you could run for office yourself, or support another God-fearing person who’s stepping up to the plate. Also -- Pray that the people of this country stop believing the lies and turn to TRUTH. And for the record, GOD IS TRUTH. Of course, while you’re praying, also thank God for sending His Son, and thank the Son for enduring the crucifixion so that all the people of the world -- if they believe in the New Covenant in Jesus’s blood – can have the free gift of eternal life. It was through God’s providence that America became free. It will be through God’s providence and our willingness to stand for His truth that our liberties will be restored. Recently , Daniel Bobinski had the opportunity to interview Dave Hayes, popularly known as 'Praying Medic.’ In this “get to know you” interview, Hayes explains the overnight experience that turned him from being a staunch Darwinist who mocked Christians into being a believer in Jesus. Not long afterwards, Jesus showed him how to pray for people and heal them, which resulted in thousands of miraculous healings - and, at times, no small amount of embarrassment. One of his first healings involved a woman who described the pain in her foot as a level 7 out of 10. She had been to the hospital earlier that day, but had been misdiagnosed. While she was in the ambulance getting ready for a second hospital visit, Hayes asked and got her permission to pray for her. As he put his hand near her foot and began praying, she put her hands in the air and said, "Praise the Lord, I'm healed!" Hayes said they still took her to the hospital. "We rolled her in on the gurney – literally she was screaming, 'Praise the Lord, I'm healed.' I could not get out of that hospital fast enough. I was mortified. I mean, bring somebody in and explain, 'Well, she had 7 out of 10 pain in her foot, but I prayed for her and now she has no pain, so here. Can I get a signature? I gotta leave.'" Hayes credits his wife with the idea of writing books. He had always been a paramedic, but his wife noticed that as soon as he came home from work he would sit at his computer and crank out articles. Hesitantly, he acted on her recommendation. Since that time, Hayes has written 20 books on a wide variety of topics. After a few years, Hayes began making enough money on book sales that he retired from being a paramedic. I addition to writing, Hayes and his wife have a marketplace ministry, in which they pray for (and heal) people as they go about their day. Dr. Karlyn Borysenko is an organizational psychologist, a knitter, and up until four years ago, she was a lifelong Democrat. In her daytime job, some of her workshops were on how to spot and prevent bullying. Ironically, she noticed something in her online knitting community. Anyone who held anything resembling a conservative viewpoint was ostracized, mocked, and cancelled. She realized this was bullying, and it bothered her. It was also election season. This, combined with all the bullying she’d seen, got her curiosity up. Despite warnings from her friends, Borysenko attended a Trump rally. What she experienced was nothing like what she was expecting. People accepted her. They were kind and polite to her. She found they weren’t a gang of white male bigots – instead they were a crowd of extremely diverse people who loved America. These experiences lead Borysenko to write an article outlining the chain of events. She published it on the website “Medium” and went to bed. In no time her article went viral, and talking heads from around the country were clamoring to interview her. I met Dr. Borysenko at CPAC 2020, and during my interview with her there, she said she was impressed that diverse people were honored because of their commitment to America’s foundational values, not because of their skin color or their sexual preference. ** ‘Republicans’ Aren’t Always Conservative ** In this interview, Borysenko says she’s noticed much more since 2020, and not all of it good. Perhaps most troubling, she’s seen many Republicans vote against legislation that would prevent Socialist ideology from become societal norms in this country. She says by doing so, they are enabling Socialist creep, thus allowing America to be deconstructed from within. Borysenko also discovered that when she decided to join the Libertarian brand, conservatives turned against her, even though she’s working hard to expose how socialists are destroying America. Verifiably safe drugs prescribed millions of times are suddenly labelled dangerous – leading to the unnecessary deaths of hundreds of thousands of people. Beer companies hire flamboyant transvestites to promote their beer. The Navy asked a cross-dressing sailor to be a “digital ambassador” to aid in recruiting. The White House mandates a percentage of new cars sales must be electric, even though these cars fail miserably in winter, and can take more than 8 hours to charge just to drive 260 miles. And – the White House occupant regularly describes his political opponents as terrorists. Look around. Morals are evaporating while a police state is emerging. As the saying goes, the world is going to hell in a handbasket. In colonial times, King George mandated that colonists house and feed his soldiers. This tyrannical overreach was so egregious, it was specifically mentioned in our Declaration of Independence as a reason for severing ties with England. Jump to the 1930s. FDR’s New Deal resulted in a substantial increase in the number of government agencies, the leaders of which were given authority to create their own rules, enforce those rules, and apply their own penalties. This practice not only enables government overreach, it also violates the separation of powers built into our Constitution. To make matters worse, in 1984, the Supreme Court stated that government agencies have the right to interpret their own statutes, unless Congress says otherwise. In other words, agency personnel were enabled to act as both law creators and law enforcement, plus both judge and jury! The sinful nature of man has led to an ever-growing police state that is becoming more and more tyrannical. That may soon change. In 2020, agencies within the Department of Commerce began compelling fishing companies to house the agencies’ monitors on their fishing boats — AND pay $700 a day to cover the costs. This practice is no different from King George forcing colonists to house and feed his soldiers, and it resulted in court cases that ended up in front of the Supreme Court. Thus, the Court has an opportunity to fix the government’s ever-growing police state. As many predicted would happen, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is no longer in the Presidential race. On Sunday, he said: I am, today, suspending my campaign. It’s clear to me that a majority of Republican primary voters want to give Donald Trump another chance. They watched his Presidency get stymied by relentless resistance, and they see Democrats using lawfare to this day to attack him. While I’ve had disagreements with Donald Trump, such as on the Coronavirus pandemic and his elevation of Anthony Fauci, Trump is superior to the current incumbent, Joe Biden. That is clear. I signed a pledge to support the Republican nominee, and I will honor that pledge. He has my endorsement because we can’t go back to the old Republican guard of yesteryear. DeSantis endorsing Trump, and doing so respectfully, says he recognizes reality. Sadly, Nikki Haley hasn’t reached that point. In fact, Haley actually calls herself a conservative. Either she doesn’t know what a Conservative is, or she’s trying to pull one over on voters. Tuesday January 23rd is the New Hampshire primary. She’s slated to lose by at least 11 points, and polling indicates she’ll probably lose by more now that DeSantis has bowed out. Even more embarrassing, Haley is behind Trump by 30 points in South Carolina, the state where she was the governor! The longer she stays in the race, the more difficult it will be for all Republicans to get behind the person who’s clearly going to be the nominee. What is DEI? It stands for diversity, equity, and inclusion. Essentially: Diversity means hiring people based on physical attributes or sexual preferences instead of skill sets. Equity is not about equal opportunity, but equal outcomes, regardless of effort or skills. Inclusion addresses the methods by which the first two are brought about, so everyone feels included – unless you’re a white, able-bodied heterosexual middle-aged, English-speaking Christian male. Then inclusion doesn’t apply. It’s bad enough that this socialist / Marxist mindset is being pumped into our kids at school, and that companies now hire diversity officers, but our US Military? Yes. It’s being taught there. Lt. Col. Matthew Lohmeier WAS part of the Space Force, but he was terminated for writing a book that called attention to how DEI training was damaging our military. In that book he specifically criticized the DEI trainings, and said they were illegally occurring at his base. He also pointed out how DEI is rooted in critical race theory and Marxist ideology. Lohmeier submitted a complaint, but it was dismissed by higher officials. He warned that DEI initiatives divide troops and sow animosity towards the country. In Lohmeier recent testimony before Congress, he said, “I watched DEI trainings divide our troops ideologically and, in some cases, sow the seeds of animosity toward the very country they had sworn an oath to defend.” Lohmeier previously spoke about the dangers of the woke agenda in the military, claiming it weakens and divides the armed forces, compromising national security. He emphasized that service members should focus on their mission of protecting national security rather than engaging in political discussions. An NBC piece recently spewed forth a whole slew of unfounded concerns – hypotheticals that could be said about any President in any era. Let me point out some of the fearmongering to make us all afraid of Donald Trump – “Trump MIGHT give an illegal order …” “What a President MIGHT do …” “[A]n array of horrors that COULD result from …” They even accuse Trump of intending to assassinate political rivals. Maybe we should ask Seth Rich how that works. Oh – sorry. His death was “a robbery gone bad.” We could easily pose similar hypotheticals about Joe Biden: What if Biden collected millions of dollars from Chinese operatives and then made decisions as President that helped China but hurt the United States? What if Biden did a quid pro quo with Ukraine, withholding a billion dollars in aid until they fired the prosecutor investigating the company that employed his son? This week in Davos, Switzerland, the self-appointed global elites are busy plotting and planning how they will run the world. As we all observed a few years ago, all they need to do to get people to comply with unreasonable, made-up rules is to stir up a lot of fear. Remember the fear pushed on us at the outset of Covid? We were told 14% of those who caught it were going to die. That was fear. And lots of it. But we soon learned the predictions were incorrect. Covid deaths were on par with the seasonal flu – people were especially good to go if they took the drugs that Fauci didn’t want you to take. Well, this week in Davos, a presentation was given titled, “Preparing for Disease X.” And the very first sentence told us, “’Disease X’ could result in 20 times more fatalities than the coronavirus pandemic.” How do they know? That’s a lot of fear, but that kind of statement has all the markers of another “accidental release” of a new virus. The question is, “why?” At least two reasons exist. First, this is an election year. Think back to four years ago. We saw pictures of people in China lying dead on the sidewalk. That stirred up tons of fear, and governors decided their emergency powers gave them the right to suspend the Constitution. Included with that was changing the way voting occurred, and suddenly we had voting drop boxes where people could drop off their mail-in ballots. Never mind nobody was watching those drop boxes. But because of the fear that was ginned up, that method of voting was created for our safety. And we all know the Presidential election in 2020 was the most secure in the history of the nation. Well, the globalists don’t want Trump back in the White House, so it’s a fair bet that unless globalists keep Trump off the ballot by legal or other means, he’s going to be the Republican nominee. So, they’re going to need a lot of fear to have a reason for even more draconian efforts to make sure we have another secure election. Perhaps 20x more fear. The second reason for all the fear surrounding this mysterious “Disease X” is because the World Health Organization wants to move beyond being an advisory agency. They want to become the global dictator of all things health related. Keep in mind, the WHO is an arm of the United Nations. And their largest funder – after the United States – is the person Bill Gates. Billy Boy is arm-and-arm and lockstep with globalist goals of the World Economic Forum. So how does the WHO move into that position of global power? Well, another topic of discussion at this year’s meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos is the upcoming implementation of a global “Pandemic Treaty.” This “treaty” moves the WHO from an advisory body to decision-making body, and all member nations will be required to comply with the WHO’s dictates. This means the United States will become subservient to the dictates of the unelected WHO. Interestingly, while the rest of the world calls it a Pandemic Treaty, it will be called an Agreement here in America – because our Constitution requires the Senate to approve all treaties, and the Republicans in our Senate are not likely to submit America’s sovereignty to the United Nations. The White House occupant can sign an agreement, but he can’t authorize a treaty. It’s only a minor word change, right? Again, “Disease X” will be used to gin up enough fear to convince the world to comply with more unreasonable, made-up rules that will no doubt be put in place “for our safety.” Everyone needs to understand – the fear surrounding “Disease X” (and other fears that they throw at us) are being manufactured to manipulate us. Voting drop boxes should never again be allowed, and America must say “no” to this “Pandemic Treaty.” Our country is being systematically dismantled by globalists from without and from within our country. Donald Trump had a decisive win in the Iowa caucus. He pulled more than 50% of the vote, even with a field of five candidates. Vivek Ramaswamy, who articulates many of the same positions as Trump, wisely withdrew from the race and called Trump to say that Trump has his full endorsement. Ron DeSantis and Nikki Haley were in a distant 2nd and 3rd place. Here’s what World Economic Forum senior advisor Yuval Noah Harari said when asked if Trump would be re-elected to the Presidency. Yuval Noah Harari: It’s very likely. And if it happens, it is likely to be the death blow to what remains of the global order. During Trump’s time in the White House, globalists threw the kitchen sink at him to keep him from undoing their one-world agenda. In 2020, the Idaho Legislature passed a law that said if Roe v. Wade was ever overturned, abortion would immediately be illegal in the state, with exceptions for life of the mother, rape, or incest. Well, two years later, Roe was overturned, and wouldn’t you know, the Biden administration sued the State and a lower court blocked the law from going into effect. But last week the U.S. Supreme Court reversed that. Predictably, the White House criticized the Court, and said Idaho's law was "dangerous." The problem with most Leftists is they fail to complete their sentences. Yes – Idaho’s abortion law is dangerous. It’s dangerous for the bank balance of doctors who tear unborn babies from the womb as a form of post-coitus birth control. It’s also dangerous for the egos of power-hungry authoritarians. On December 19, the U.S. announced a new maritime task force operating in the Red Sea to protect commercial vessels from attack by Houthi rebels. The White House bragged it was a coalition of 20 nations, led by the U.S. That sounds impressive. One quickly imagines ships from 20 different countries protecting the free flow of goods. Well, not so fast. Canada didn’t send ships. Just three officers. The Netherlands sent two. Denmark sent only one. But hey, Australia’s going all out – they sent 11 officers. Norway tried to match them, but they sent only 10. The European Union sent nobody. Out of 20 countries that are part of this “maritime task force,” only two surface combatants were sent by other member countries. Remember when Democrats told us that we needed Trump out of office so America could regain respect in the world?
