Show 35: The feast of Saints Peter and Paul - finding hope in troubled times
In this episode I discuss the troubling times in which we are living.... those who hold fast to Christian morals and doctrine are under constant attack from not only secular culture but certain forces within the Church. We can find courage in Christian martyrs who died for the faith. God willing, we will not face torture and death as did these two Holy Apostles. We must never waver though. "Those who endure until the end will be saved."
BTW, I have just learned that an inappropriate ad is being placed by the hosting platform on this show. I apologise. It is not in my control, but I am trying to figure out how to not let this happen again.

Show 34: What did Jesus mean, "Call no man father"?
In this episode I discuss the very common and ignorant anti-Catholic charge that Catholics cannot be Christians because we call priests "father", and Jesus said, "call no man father." This is a prime example of taking a Biblical passage out of context. Calling priests father is both Biblically and logically correct, as Saint Paul tells us... and out of context, it not only makes no sense but would inviolate the 10 Commandments. We all have earthly fathers and we all need spiritual fathers - both receive their authority from the heavenly Father. Jesus also said to call no man rabbi or teacher. Yet, anyone who teaches is a teacher just as everyone who fathers a child is a father and everyone who is a Jewish officiant and teacher is a rabbi. So, what Protestants claim is ridiculous on its face. What did Jesus really mean, in context and as understood for 2,000 years or so by faithful Christians? Listen to find out.

Show 32: No, Catholics do not worship Angels and Saints, part 3
In this episode I discuss the writings of the early Church Fathers and .prayers to the Blessed Virgin Mary and Saint Joseph that date back to around 50 -250 AD, an image of the Mother of God painted by Saint Luke that has been venerated by Christians for around 2,000 years and letters exchanged between Saint Ignatius, Saint John The Apostle, and Our Lady. So, you get to learn what the authors of the New Testament Gospels believed about venerating and praying to saints.

Show 33: No, Catholics do not worship Statues Either
In this episode I discuss the very common and ignorant anti-Catholic charge that Catholics worship statues and idols. The Catholic position on this is clear, perfectly Biblical and goes back to the Apostles. The earliest Christians venerated images of Jesus, angels and saints, but never worshipped the physical object. Holy images are simply like the pictures of our family members - when we look at them we are reminded of someone we love, who loves us and is more alive in Heaven than anyone is on earth. We venerate statues as both Catholics and Protestants venerate the Cross, Bible and altar as physical objects that bring us closer to Heaven, just as the ancient Jews venerated the Ark of the Covenant and the Temple with all of its ornate "graven images".

Show 26: Why Christians Do Not Follow Torah Law, part 2
In this episode I talk more about the odd concept that Christians must obey the Mosaic or Torah Laws of Judaism. This heresy was specifically condemned in the New Testament and by the early Church Fathers, but has become very popular in recent years. In this episode, we finish examining the Bible on this subject..

Show 29: why some people insist we must call Jesus Y'shua and why they are wrong
In this episode I talk about the name of Jesus. In recent years a heresy has arisen that claims we must not call Jesus, Jesus.... but we must call Him Yeshua, Y'shua or Joshua. They even claim that to call Jesus, Jesus, is to worship Zeus. Frankly, the entire argument is ridiculous on its face. It has no basis in historical fact or logic. Unfortunately, well meaning and devout people have fallen into serious error due to nothing more than ignorance and anti-Catholic bigotry. We also get into transhumanism, which is the Tower of Bable of the modern era.

Show 28: Why Christians Do Not Follow Torah Law, part 4 -Saint Justin Martyr
In this episode I talk about Saint Justin Martyr's dialogue with Trypho. Trypho was a religious Jew who beleived Christianity to be insane and blasphemous. However, Justin, a Greek philosopher who converted to Christianity, brought him to belif in Christ thrugh the writings of the prohpets of the Old Testament. This first generation of Christianity makes very clear that Christians did not practice circumcision, observe the Jewish sabbath, dietary laws, etc. Saint Justin was clear, concise, logical and absolutely Biblical. Then, I talk a little baseball in regard to the Dodgers controversy. Stay strong and hold the line against evil!

Show 27: Why Christians Do Not Follow Torah Law, part 3 - The Epistle of Barnabas
In this episode I talk more about the Epistle of Barnabas, which dates to around 100 AD. This was either written by Saint Barnabas or one of his disciples/students. Regardless, it makes clear that Christians no longer followed Torah Law. Not only is Sunday worship commanded but this, one of the earliest writings of Christianity, proposes that the Mosaic Law may have been given in parables.... much as when Jesus spoke to the Jews, He spoke in parables.... Barnabas says that Moses did not command the Jews not to eat pork, but not to associate with men who act like pigs, etc.... but to eat ruminants, like the Lamb of God. He also says that the Temple of the Jews was utterly destroyed and the Law with it, because there is a new Temple, which is Jesus Christ and a new Law, a new covenant, a new Church, a new man in the new sabbath, which is Sunday.

Show 24: Why Christians worship on Sunday, and why that is right
In this episode I talk about when, why and how true Christian worship came to be the celebration of Sunday Mass. The Apostles, guided by the teachings of Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, expressely and purposefully abandoned the Mosaic, Torah Law of the Jews in establishing a new Church under the New Covenant, a Sunday Church that worships on the Day our Lord rose from the dead. Christians have worshipped, at least from Pentecost Sunday to the present day... and they wrote a lot about why that is right.

But then, that is what Jesus said.... if we are shocked, it is only because we have fallen from the original understanding of the first Christians.
