In this episode, I talk about the authority of Sacred Tradition that comes to us through the teaching authority of the Holy Apostles as ordered by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Not only is "the Bible Alone" of Sola Scriptura insufficient, it is un-Biblical.... and the Bible didn't exist in the early Church until it was written, compiled and published by the Catholic Church operating under the authority of Christ through the guarantee of the Holy Spirit. Saint Irenaeus made the primacy of Sacred Tradition very clear in refuting the Gnostics who were heretics who perverted the meaning of the gospels to suit their own false teaching. In this episode, I discuss one of our Lord's most difficult teachings. No matter what is done to us, we must forgive. He does not require us to allow others to hurt us. But, Jesus, the embodiment of Love, says that if we do not forgive we will be punished by the Father. To forgive those who hurt us is a super-human act and can only be accomplished through Christ. In this episode, I talk about the Blessed Virgin Mary. She is the Mother of God and our mother as brothers and sisters in Christ. She is the Queen of Heaven and the greatest of all saints. Through her, Jesus came into the world. She loves each one of us and prays for each one of us. She crushes Satan's head. Every Christian has access to her help and affection as part of the family of God. The saints are more alive in Heaven than we are on earth. They care about us. They pray for us and they love us. As Saint Paul said, "we are surruounded by so great a cloud of witnesses" ready and willing to help us, and Mary is the greatest of all the saints.
