With the glass work all done, now I can start the last of the painting. But first, I need to apply the micro balloon and resin compound to fair everything out, starting with the floor. Posted on YT June 2024.

This is a major milestone as it marks the completion of the fiberglass work, with the exception of a few small places in the floor area as I alluded to in my last video. After this, it's on to paint and completion work. Posted to YT March 31, 2024.

It wasn't as cold a winter as the past two or three years, but there were some days when the highs only reached single digits. And I also had a ton of home maintenance and repair work that needed to get done. So, I put the boat on hold for a few weeks and in this video, I sort of ease back into the build. But with warmer temperatures and daylight savings upon us, it's time to get the boat build up to full speed. Posted on YT March 16, 2024.

The Christmas and New Year holidays made it difficult to find time to work on the boat, but now that we're into the new year, it's time to round the bend and start heading down the home stretch and get this build done! Posted to YT January 7, 2024.

Like I mentioned in my last video, I had to pause the boat build for a spell to go on this road trip to Georgia. And less than a week later, I had to go on another long trip that was completely unexpected! But, when it's family, you do what you have to do! Posted to YT November 1, 2023.

Time to start installing the forward deck and to do that, I have to fabricate and install the support structure. It's good to finally start making some headway again after being shut down for weeks on end because of the intense heat. Posted on YT September 18, 2023.

Once September rolled around, it finally cooled enough for me to get out there and get the floors installed in the boat! This video will take you through that entire process start to finish, edited for time considerations. Posted to YT on September 2, 2023.

The high temperatures continued to shatter records that had stood for decades. But I got just enough of a break from the heat to get a good start on installing the flooring. It wasn't much of a break mind you, but we take what we can get. Posted to YT August 24, 2023.

I tried to keep pushing forward as long as I could. But the heat forced me to shut down the build for a while and wait till it cooled down enough to get back out in the garage. The high temps were in the 108 to 111 range, and that's hot even for Texas in August! Couldn't do anything but wait it out. Posted on YT August 14, 2023.

I didn't expect it to take over two weeks to cut and place the foam panels in place, even with the hot temperatures that limit my work time. Yes, the two-part liquid pour foam would have been faster, but like I explained in a previous video, I have my reservations about that stuff. So, I went this route. Overall, I added less than ten pounds to the boat's weight. The Styrofoam is light, but the tradeoff was the extra installation time. Posted to YT August 1, 2023.

Just had to buckle down and get all the priming and painting done! The hard work is paying off as I reached a major milestone on this build! Posted to YT on July 4, 2023.

Like I mentioned in the previous video, I took time off from the build to prepare a lesson plan for a Bible class I was going to be leading in the month of June. Then some severe weather moved in and settled over the area for a while, and I had to put the build on hold again until all of that calmed down. It is hard to get the momentum going again after grinding to a halt, but in this video, I slowly get the build ramped up again. Posted on YT June 27, 2023.

And to think, all I wanted to do was get the outboard mounted so I could take the boat to the lake for a float test! But.....I only want to install that outboard one time, so I'll just keep chipping away at the finish work on the transom! Posted to YT June 12, 2023.

Still have some work to do to get the transom ready for the outboard. I'm about 3/4ths of the way there. It wasn't easy forcing myself to bore holes in the boat. It just seems counterintuitive! But once that area is done, it will be a huge leap forward in the completion of the boat! Posted to YT June 1, 2023.

It's at the point where the boat needs to be close to its finished weight because one of these days, I want to take it to the lake and float it and see where the waterline will be. But, as I found out, the transom wasn't quite ready. Posted on YT May 27, 2023.

Electrical wiring is all but done, and I finally get to test everything! Good to get that part of the build behind me. Posted on YT May 13, 2023.

Like I mention in the video, when you build a new house, you have to run the wiring before hanging sheetrock. Same thing here. I've got to get the wiring done before I can start closing up the stern and laying down the floor. Posted on YT May 4, 2023.

In this video, I have several things that need to get done before assembling all the parts at the stern. The interior of the boat needs to be primed, electrical wiring needs to be run, and lights need to be installed, all prior to bonding the stern parts in place. Posted on YT April 29, 2023.

At last, after what seems like forever, I finally finished the work of bonding the ribs and stringers to the inside of the outer hull. Now I can moved on to the transom and start the process of finishing it out so I can mount the outboard! Posted to YT March 26,2023.
