How to Inflate Car Tires
Don't get your road trip off to a bumpy start -- properly inflated tires will save you gas and money and get you there safely.
Step 1: Check tire pressure
Check your tire pressure with a gauge -– don’t just eyeball it. Your tire may be underinflated and not look it.
Tip
Check your tires when they are cool or first thing in the morning. It takes tires about half an hour to cool down.
Step 2: Check your tire pressure against manufacturer’s recommended pressure
Reference the gauge reading and the manufacturer’s recommended pressure found on the door jamb or your owner’s manual. If your pressure’s low, find a service station with an air hose.
Tip
Not all service station air hoses are free –- bring spare change or you may need your spare tire.
Step 3: Make sure air hose reaches all tires and turn on compressor
Pull your car up to the compressor and hose; you should be able to reach all four tires. Turn the compressor on by inserting your coins or follow the posted directions.
Tip
Purchase a portable compressor and stash it in your garage or trunk.
Step 4: Remove stem cap
Remove the stem cap and put it in your pocket so you don’t lose it.
Step 5: Inflate tires
Place the air hose fitting on the valve stem and press down. You’ll hear the air inflating the tire. If you feel air flow around the valve stem, you don’t have a tight connection. Repeat for the other three tires.
Step 6: Read air hose gauge
Read the gauge on the air hose if it has one -- it will let you know when you are close to the right amount. If you’re a little over, that’s okay.
Step 7: Recheck pressure with personal gauge and let out excess air
Double check the air pressure with your own gauge. If the pressure’s too high, press down on the pin inside of the valve stem and let some air out. Recheck and repeat if it's still not the recommended amount.
Step 8: Replace the stem cap
Replace the stem caps, sit back, buckle up, and enjoy the ride.
Did You Know?
The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company and NASA have developed an airless tire to transport large, long-range vehicles across the surface of the moon.

How to Drill into Your Wall
Drilling into your wall while knowing where the studs are and not hitting any wires may seem daunting, but it's simple if you follow these steps.
Step 1: Select a drill bit
Select the right drill bit for the job. If you're drilling into sheetrock or plasterboard, you can use a drywall bit; use a masonry bit for brick, block, stone, quarry tiles, or concrete; use a spur point bit to drill through wood; and use a tile bit for ceramic tile or glass.
Step 2: Be careful of electric wires
Avoid drilling above or below light switches or electrical outlets. If you have a light switch or outlet on the second floor, don't drill below it on the first floor -- the wiring likely goes down and through the first floor.
Tip
You can use a stud finder with a live wire detector as a secondary measure.
Step 3: Watch out for plumbing
Be careful drilling into a bathroom wall -- or into any walls that are shared with a bathroom. You risk hitting and damaging your pipes; this also applies to areas around radiators.
Step 4: Mark your spot
Use a pencil to mark the place on your wall where you want to drill and, using a hammer and countersink, make an indentation where the hole will be.
Tip
If you're drilling into ceramic or glass, make an X with heavy-duty tape over the surface before you drill. This will prevent cracks and chips.
Step 5: Insert the drill bit
Place the tip of your drill bit into the indentation and gently squeeze the drill's trigger, making sure to keep the bit straight.
Step 6: Increase drill speed, finish hole
Slowly increase the bit speed as you apply pressure. When you've achieved your desired depth, slow the bit down, but don't stop it. Keep pressing the trigger and slowly pull the bit from the hole.
Step 7: Insert anchor
Insert an anchor into the hole if you need to, and then screw in your hook or screw. You are now ready to hang decorations on your walls!

12 Zodiac Signs & What They Mean | Astrology Charts
Hi, I am Jenny Lynch, and I'm talking about the zodiac signs and what they mean.
So the first sign of the zodiac is Aries, and Aries is represented by a ram, okay? and is a fire sign. So we know that Aries people have the qualities of being impulsive, of being leaders, of being very impatient. They're also natural born entrepreneurs; they want to do things, they don't want to just sit here; they want to just go and do things.
Taurus is the bull, does not move as fast as Aries. Taurus is grounded, is patient, but it also can be very stubborn. So that's is one of the qualities of Tauruses, that they're fixed; once they make out their mind is hard to change it..
With the Gemini, that's the sign of the twins, they're always changing their mind, okay? Is a dual sign, is an air sign too, so qualities of Gemini are endlessly curious, very social, friendly people, intellectual too, and they like a lot of stimulation.
When we get to Cancer we are talking about the sensitive side. It's the crab, and if the crab gets sensitive, it would close down and run away, but they're also very much into their family, and they're very sweet and loving people, you just have to win their trust.
When it comes to Leo, Leo is the lion, roar, you've heard this before, but it does mean that the person is a very loyal person. They are very honorable generally, generous, good courteous. Those are other fine qualities. they can also be very talented.
With Virgo, the Virgin. We are talking about someone who is interested in health, nutrition, who is very organized usually, although the key word here is compulsive. And so, either they'll be really neat, or they could be very sloppy. But the main thing about Virgo is that they love to serve other people. So if you have one in your life you're quite lucky.
Now, we get into Libra. Libra is the sign of the scales, and Libras are all about beauty, grace, refinement, the arts. They're into relationships very much. You'll never ever hardly ever see a single Libra.
Let's talk about Scorpio. Scorpio is the scorpion okay. It's also the eagle. There's two different types of Scorpios they say; the ones that are very high with moral standing, and the other ones that go down, they take that road instead. So when you are thinking about a Scorpio do, you are thinking about someone who is very intense, who is very driven, and who can very much want to be a part of your life and merge. This is someone who doesn't take any thing lightheartedly.
I'm talking about a Sagittarius, we are talking about lighthearted. Sagittarius is the happy go lucky sign of the archer. And they always say with Sagittarius that the symbol of the archer pointing the bow back it means that they are looking far into the future, or a far distance away. So these people often love to travel, and love foreign cultures, and they're very philosophical.
Capricorn, this is the goat, the mountain goat. Highly, highly ambitious, they want to climb the mountain alright? You get the idea here, it's a earth sign, they're very practical, really organized and they usually do really well in business, and with any kind of structure, because they're ruled by Saturn.
When we get to Aquarius, this is the friendship sign. It's also the water bearer; of carrying of liquids, but is the most friendly social sign of all. Very strong with humanitarians, they love to be around groups of people, and they often make great doctors.
When we get to Pisces, we are talking about another dual sign; the fish swimming in two different directions. So, Pisces is often a very sensitive, very mystical, and very misunderstood sign, okay? They are highly sympathetic, and as I said before, this is a sign that kind of go with the flow, it's a water sign.
And those are the twelve signs of the zodiac, and a little about them.

How to Read a Tape Measure
Don't let all those little lines dissuade you from using a tape measure. Follow these guidelines to help you in reading all of those little ruler marks.
Step 1: Recognize the marks on the top
Recognize the marks on the top of the tape measure. The black numbers are inches and the red numbers are feet.
Tip
There are 12 inches in a foot.
Step 2: Identify the shorter marks
Identify the shorter marks between the inch marks, divided into fractions of an inch.
Tip
Most tape measures are divided into 16ths of an inch. Therefore, there are 15 lines between the inch marks, all representing 1/16 of an inch.
Step 3: Look for special markings
Look for special markings every 16 inches. These markings aid in many do-it-yourself projects that need to be measured on 16-inch centers.
Step 4: Notice the metric side
Notice the metric side of the tape measure. The markings represent meters, centimeters, and millimeters.
Tip
There are 100 centimeters in a meter and 10 millimeters in a centimeter.
Step 5: Write your measurement
Write your measurement in feet, inches, and fractions of an inch. For example 3 feet, 6 1/4 inches. Express metric measurements in the smallest increments. You would not say "2 centimeters and 3 millimeters." Instead, you would simply say "23 millimeters."
Step 6: Double check your measurement
Measure precisely and double check your measurement. It takes a lot less time to measure twice than redo an entire project because of inaccuracies.
Did You Know?
James Chesterman patented the first spring-loaded tape measure in England in 1829.

How to Play Squash
Squash is a fast-paced game, so keep your eyes on the ball and follow these simple steps.
Step 1: Serve the ball
Hold the racket with a tight grip. Hit the ball onto the front wall above the service line in the squash court. The ball must bounce in the quarter court where your opponent is standing, unless they volley.
Step 2: Return the serve
Your opponent returns the serve by hitting the ball before it bounces on the floor, called a volley, or after it has bounced once. The ball must hit the front wall below the out line, but may hit the back or side walls first.
Tip
Learn your opponent's strengths and weaknesses.
Step 3: Strategize your play
Alternate hitting the ball with your opponent.
Step 4: Alternate servers
Change servers when the ball bounces more than once, bounces before hitting the wall, or goes out of bounds.
Tip
Give your opponent room to take their shot; if interference occurs, it is a let and the point is replayed.
Step 5: Score points
Give a scoring point only to the server. The first player to nine points is the winner. Squash matches usually have five games.
Did You Know?
Squash originated in London in the nineteenth century.

Use these tips to organize a game of draw dominoes, the most popular domino game played today.
To complete this How-To you will need:
A standard set of 28 dominos
A large flat surface or table to play on
Two to four players
A pencil and paper
Step 1: Mix up the dominos
Place all the dominos facedown on the table and shuffle them around. Have each player select their dominos, keeping them hidden. If two people are playing, each person gets seven. If three or four people are playing, each takes five dominos.
Tip: There are 28 tiles in a standard set, from blank at both ends to sixes at both ends. Dominos are also known as bones.
Step 2: Decide who goes first
To decide which player starts, each player reveals their highest double -- a piece that has the same number of dots on both ends. Whoever has the highest double goes first. If none of the players drew a double, then whoever has the heaviest tile -- the domino with most dots on it -- goes first.
Step 3: Make the first move
The player begins by placing their heaviest domino faceup anywhere on the board. After the first move, players must match the number of dots on one end of one of their dominos with an open end of a domino already on the board. Take turns clockwise around the table, with each player adding a domino to the board.
Tip: Any side of the domino is considered an "open end." The game's layout can flow in any direction, turning as necessary.
Step 4: Match
When laying a domino down, the numbers of the piece on the board and the one being added to the board must match exactly. For example, if the only open domino end on the board shows five dots, only a domino with one end that also has five dots can be played beside it.
Step 5: Play a double
If you have a double, play it as soon as you can. Doubles create more opportunities for play on the board. These pieces are typically placed so they connect to the middle of a piece on the board, rather than one end, which means future dominos can be added to either end of the double piece.
Step 6: Draw if you can't play
When players do not have a domino that matches one of the open dominos on the board, they draw from the pile of extra dominos until they draw a playable piece. If there are no dominos left, players lose their turn.
Tip: The pile of leftover dominos is also known as the boneyard.
Step 7: End the game
The game continues until one player runs out of dominos, becoming the automatic winner, or when all the players have no playable pieces left.
Step 8: Add the points
When a game has ended, the players add up the total number of dots in their hands. That number is how many points the winner has earned. A typical match ends once one player has accumulated 100 points.

How to Get Laid
It's the reason you were created. You might as well start practicing.
Step 1: For girls
If you are a female... get laid. If you are a male, proceed to step 2.
Step 2: For gays
If you are a homosexual... get laid. If you are a heterosexual male, proceed to step 3.
Step 3: For guys
Locate a woman. Don't just stand there - manipulate your lips and tongue to create "words," which, if formed correctly, will put the woman at ease and communicate to her that you are an affable person who knows how to speak.
Step 4: Use words
Use the 'words' to talk about your massive pectoral muscles, collection of expensive sports cars, or your successful career as a multi-hyphenate firefighter-rock star-surgeon/astronaut. Now, get laid. Should you find these topics of conversation inapplicable, continue to step 5.
Step 5: Make a date
Go ahead and start checking for any signs of encouragement that it would be appropriate for conversation to continue. If you’re getting the green light, suggest reuniting with the woman at a later date.
Step 6: Don’t mince words
Convey to the woman in question that you would make an acceptable sexual partner. This can take weeks, months, and even years, so don’t mince words.
Step 7: Get laid
Get laid.
Step 8: Repeat
Repeat.
Did You Know?
The people of Earth "get laid" roughly 120 million times every single day. Please: do it responsibly.

How to Do Different Breaks | Bachata Dance
Edwin: Different breaks in bachata, so in bachata we had the tap, but there's a lot of other breaks that you can explore. We're going to teach you a couple of them. The first one we're going to talk about is the bachata heel break. So we're going to put out our heels, on the fours and the eights. Five, six, seven, eight. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. The idea behind the heel is to make sure that your heel is nice and sharp on that break, just as if you were doing a tap.
Daniela: And ladies, make sure when you do your heel tap forward, you have your legs closed. We don't want to do one, two, three, heel, okay? It's right in front of you.
Edwin: Now for the next break, this one is a tap in the back. We're going to use the toe to either tap across or behind. We're going to show you different ways, so make sure you that you explore however you feel more comfortable. Five, six, seven and one, two, three, tap, five, six, seven, tap.
One, two, three, tap, five, six, seven, tap. One, two, three, tap. Five, six, seven, tap. That's going to be the tap behind. Remember you can put it right behind you or you can send it across, depending on how you feel. Make sure you do it with confidence and smooth. The next break is going to be the scoop. The scoop is going to be picking up your foot. Gentlemen, what we're going to do is just lift it up, like this.
Daniela: And ladies, we're going to scoop up, so as soon as your toe hits the floor that's when you bring it up. Make sure you don't kick it out.
Edwin: Let's try it. Five, six, seven, eight and one, two, three, up, five, six, seven, up. One, two, three, up. Five, six, seven, up and one, two, three, up. Five, six, seven, up. Now for those of you who are interested in getting better as performers, make sure that you always point your feet down. If you keep your feet like this, of course it's an option, but make sure that if you want to develop good habits, always point your feet down.
Now we're going to do the last one, which is the shuffle behind. This one is a little bit more complicated, so I want you to pay attention slowly. Five, six, seven, eight and one, two, three shuffle, five, six, seven, shuffle one, two, three, shuffle five, six, seven and shuffle.
So what's happening here is we're going to take three steps one, two and three. On the fourth step we're going to quickly alternate our feet, right/left, and then continue to the right for five, six, seven. And do the same thing on the other side, left/right. Let's try it a little bit faster. Five, six, seven, eight and one, two, three shuffle. Five, six, seven, one, two, three shuffle, five, six, seven shuffle one.
Now let's demonstrate all these breaks with music, so here we have the heel, then we have the tap behind and remember, you can cross it behind or send it straight back, depending on your choice. The next one is the scoop and gentlemen, of course you can scoop as well, gentlemen. But for us it's more natural to just bring the knee up. And the last one is the shuffle behind. Shuffle, one and those are your bachata breaks.

How to Take a Shower
You probably take a shower almost every day. You might as well do it right.
Step 1: Dry brush your skin
Before showering, rub your skin with a natural-bristle body brush to loosen dead skin. Start at your feet and brush upward.
Step 2: Regulate the water
Adjust the water to a warm temperature; very hot water dries out the skin.
Tip
If you have access to a sauna, spend five minutes beforehand working up a sweat to open your pores.
Step 3: Wash your hair first
Wash your hair first and body last. Scrubbing strips your skin of some of its natural oils -- after which you don't want it exposed to harsh, hot water for long.
Step 4: Lather up a loofah
Lather up a loofah with the cleanser of your choice. Because it dries completely between uses, it's less likely to attract bacteria than a washcloth. Plus, it exfoliates your skin.
Tip
If you have dry or sensitive skin, use a pH-balanced cleanser.
Step 5: Scrub down
Scrub your body from top to bottom, in that order. You want the dirt to head down the drain!
Tip
Add rosemary oil to your loofah and rub any dimply areas. Fluid retention contributes to cellulite, and rosemary is a natural diuretic.
Step 6: End with a cold blast
Give your body a five-second blast of cold water right before you turn off the water; it improves circulation and helps tighten skin.
Step 7: Pat yourself dry
Gently pat yourself dry with a bath towel; you don't want to rub away your skin's natural oils.
Tip
Towels made of 100% Egyptian cotton are stronger, softer, and more absorbent than those made of other fabrics.
Step 8: Apply moisturizer
For better absorption, apply moisturizer while your skin is still damp.
Did You Know?
The average shower in the United States lasts 8.2 minutes.

How to Do a Shammgod Move | Basketball
Eric 'Broadway' Jones: This is called the Shammgod move.
Dwayne 'Swoop' Simpson: Who's Shammgod?
Eric: Shammgod is God Shammgod Wells.
Dwayne: Yes.
Eric: Former star NBA player. And he had a move named after him.
Dwayne: Oh really?
Eric:Yeah. When he was in high school.
Dwayne: Okay.
Eric: So this move was made famous by some of the European players, and you may even see a guy like Manu Ginobili doing this move.
Dwayne: Oh really? Really?
Eric: It's called the God Shammgod move.
Dwayne: Okay, I want to see, I want to see. I don't even know who that is. Yeah, this is like above my level. I want to try it.
Eric: This is expert level. SO obviously, the Roadrunner being the great dribbler that you are, you're going to go and show them the Shammgod move. Now he needs space for this move. See, what he's going to do is make the defense believe that he's throwing the ball out there. And then they're going to reach for it, and he's not going to move with his same hand. He's going to bring it back with the opposite hand. So it's out, and then bring across. And some fancy footwork. Show them how it's done, Roadrunner. This is the Shammgod move. See that? Either way. He can do it either way. You see that? That's the Shammgod move.
Dwayne: Oh, that's nice. That's nice. Okay. I've got to know. I've got to make sure these moves are effective. Okay. I want to see if this move is going to work for me, because I'm, you know, I'm a great defensive player.
Eric: You've got to get in the stance first.
Dwayne: Okay, okay. I'm in my stance here. He's going to throw the ball out. I almost had that.
Eric: You're getting there, man.
Dwayne: You know what? You know what? You think you're good or something.
Eric: You know what? I think he's like, he's an expert dribbler, and you like, you've been tricked.
Dwayne: I'm working on it.
Eric: You are working on it.
Dwayne: It's going to take practice.
Eric: You look good out there. It does take practice.
Dwayne: I'm fine.
Eric: But you can even learn the Shammgod move if you go in and put a lot of work in like the Roadrunner has.
Dwayne: Okay.
Eric: So the Shammgod move is obviously an expert level. You want to put that ball out there. Bring it back. Make the defense believe they're going to get it, and then you snatch it back. That's the Shammgod.

How to Determine a Rabbit's Sex | Pet Rabbits
Correctly sexing a rabbit is a really important task because you've heard the phrase, they breed like rabbits. Rabbits can have a litter approximately every 30 days. Now, that results in a huge number that I cannot calculate nor can I remember without a note to myself. So, I made here a rabbit multiplication table. This was actually done by one of our chapter managers in Florida, Donna Krimples, did a calculation one time of what would happen if you didn't correctly sex your rabbits and you put a male and female together and you let a few years go by.
She calculated only with female rabbits. At the end of year two you would have a total of 1,369 rabbits. At the end of year three, you will have 50,653 rabbits. At the end of year four, you will have 1,872,792 rabbits. I could go on and on. She calculated up many years past this, but that will give you a good enough idea of what happens if you don't sex your rabbits correctly.
This is an important topic because when rabbits are very young, it's very hard to tell one sex organ from another. They're very tiny and the openings which are characteristically different shapes, are not as well defined when the rabbits are babies. So, in a male rabbit as in other species, the penis can look like a tube with a hole on the end of it. In the female rabbit, it's a tube with a little slit on the end of it. The difference between a hole and a slit in a very young rabbit is almost indiscernible.
When you get rabbits from the pet store and they're young, you want to keep them separate until you are absolutely positive of their sex. You can find out their sex easily enough by consulting a rabbit saavy vet. Sometimes you'll encounter other experts at rescue organizations where ever who can tell you the sex of a baby rabbit with a lot more accuracy than you'll be able to determine it yourself.
Meanwhile, we have here Loretta and Finuccio and we're going to talk about how to sex a rabbit that's an adult already. Needless to say an adult male rabbit will have testicles and they're not subtle. They're about the size of cashew nuts actually. No pun intended, but they're the size of cashew nuts on either side of the genital opening and they're easy to see if they happen to be outside the body.
Rabbits are able to pull their testicles back up into their abdominal cavity. They can run very fast through spikey under brush without getting injured because they can pull their testicles up inside their body cavity and they do that when they're scared too. So, if you're working with a male rabbit who's frightened, you may not see testicles outside. It's a really important skill to learn how to see the regular sex organ, the penis and the vagina on the rabbit whether you see testicles on the male or not. Let's take a look now.
We have a little male here. These rabbits are both spayed and neutered, so we are not going to see testicles here, but we are going to see the normal ordinary sex organs. Here's the male and I push on either side of the genital region until I get something popping out and in this case it's a boy. You see it's clearly a tube with a little hole in the end of it. It's tiny and you can see that if it's this tiny in an adult rabbit you can imagine in a younger rabbit how tiny it is. I'm sorry to invade your personal space. I'm so sorry.
May I look at yours now? What a good rabbit. What a good bunny you are. What a good bunny. So, we're now going to look at a female, Loretta. I'm going to pick her up. I'm sorry to be so personal, but we need your help. We need your help. I'm going to sit her up. I'm going to push on either side of the genital opening to make the organ pop out and there it is. You will see that this is a pink tube with a little slit on the end of it instead of a hole. That's a typical mature female sex organ.
So, here we have a happily married couple who have committed to never having babies. Not a bad com

How to Remove a Ring That's Stuck on a Finger
Avoid a trip to the hospital by using these tricks to safely dislodge a stuck ring.
Step 1: Don't force it
Avoid pulling and tugging too hard, which could cause your finger to swell and make it more difficult to remove the ring.
Step 2: Lubricate your finger
Lubricate your finger and the ring liberally with hand lotion, petroleum jelly, cooking oil, or soap.
Step 3: Work the ring off
Turn the ring around your finger to get the lubricant underneath. Gently work the ring off the finger, turning it as you go.
Tip
Cover the drain if you are working over a sink so that the ring doesn't disappear down the pipe.
Step 4: Bring down swelling
Dip your hand in cool water for a few minutes to help reduce swelling if the lubricants don't work. Elevating your arm can also help reduce swelling.
Step 5: Try dental floss
Wrap dental floss tightly around your finger starting just above the ring. Lubricate the floss and then slip the ring off over the compressed knuckle.

How to Use Twitter
With Twitter you have the potential to reach millions of users instantly. Use it to issue public safety alerts, broadcast real-time news developments, inform constituents, or solicit feedback. It’s free and easy to use – here's how to get started.
Step 1:
Create an account. Go to Twitter.com and click the green 'Get Started' button to join. Enter your name, user name, password, and email address, and you’re good to go.
Step 2:
Decide what you want to say. In general, Twitter messages, or 'tweets,' answer the question, 'What are you doing right now?' But you can also post a link, express an opinion or reaction, or pose a question.
Tip
Twitter keeps things short and sweet: Messages can be no longer than 140 characters.
Step 3:
On the home page, type your message into the box at the top of the screen and hit 'Update.' Congratulations! You’ve posted your first tweet!
Tip
If your tweet is intended for one user in particular, type the ‘@’ symbol followed by that user’s screen name before the text of your message.
Step 4:
Twitter is a two-way street. Now that you’ve posted your first update, choose people whose updates you want to follow. To search by name, click on 'Find People' in the upper right corner and then click the 'Find on Twitter' tab. You can follow individuals, like friends and colleagues, and groups, like news services, organizations, and nonprofits.
Tip
People may be listed under a screen name that doesn’t match their real name.
Step 5:
Once you’ve found someone you want to hear from on Twitter, click 'Follow,' and you’ll receive their updates automatically. People you already know will often reciprocate and start following you, too.
Tip
If you have a Gmail, Yahoo, AOL, Hotmail, or MSN email account, you can import any contacts that also have a Twitter account. You can also invite someone via email, or scroll through a list of suggested people.
Step 6:
To help people find you, fill in account information under 'Settings,' such as your location, real name, and a brief bio. You can also add the URL of your web site or blog if you have one.
Tip
If you want to restrict your Twitter updates to only those who follow you, check the box marked, 'Protect my updates.' You’ll maintain your privacy, but you’ll limit your reach. To get the full Twitter experience, leave the box unchecked.
Step 7:
You don’t have to be online to use Twitter. No matter where you are, you can stay connected with your cell phone. On the 'Devices' tab under 'Settings,' enter your mobile number to receive and post Twitter updates via text message.
Tip
Twitter doesn’t charge for text messages, but your wireless provider might. Make sure you know the details of your messaging plan.
Step 8:
On the 'Picture' and 'Design' tabs, customize how your profile appears to others by uploading photos and choosing background themes.
Step 9:
See what people on Twitter are saying about subjects you’re interested in. At the bottom of any Twitter page, click 'Search' and type in a name or topic. Or, either below the search box or alongside search results, check out what’s generating the most buzz by browsing through 'Trending topics.'
Step 10:
You can post updates from the web in the update box, via text message, on your cell phone’s web browser using m.twitter.com, or from any third party application. Apps are available at twitter.com/downloads. The more updates you post, the more people will follow you. Now get tweeting!

How to Escape a Car Sinking in Deep Water
It can happen in an instant: Your car ends up in the water, and it’s sinking fast. Here’s how to get out.
Step 1: Calm down
Stem panic by reminding yourself that your car will usually float for a minute or two before it begins to sink. Use this time to unfasten your seat belt, open the driver-side window or a sunroof, and unlock the doors.
Tip
As long as you keep your keys in the ignition, the electrical system likely will work until the car is submerged enough for the system to short out.
Step 2: Break the window
If you were unable to open your side window, break it with your elbow, heels, or -- better still -- anything pointy you have on hand, like a pen or screwdriver. Aim for the center of the window. Don’t bother with the windshield; it's made to be unbreakable.
Tip
Hardware stores sell tools specifically designed to break car windows in an emergency.
Step 3: Undress
If the car is sinking slowly, take off your shoes. If you’re wearing jeans and you have time, remove those as well. Both weigh you down, making swimming to the surface more difficult.
Step 4: Get out
Climb out the window before the car becomes submerged, and swim to the surface.
Tip
Memorize the acronym POGO: Pop seat belt, Open the window, and Get Out.
Step 5: Wait until car fills
If you were unable to get out through the window, don’t panic! Let the car fill with water, knowing that once it does, the water pressure inside and out will be equalized, allowing you to open the door and escape.
Tip
Hang on to the door handle as the car fills with water so you don’t float and become disoriented if the car flips.
Step 6: Open the door
When the water reaches your chin, take a deep breath and hold it. Then open the door and swim out headfirst. If you’re not sure which way is up, look for bubbles and swim in the direction in which they’re rising.

How to Spin Back Dribble | Basketball
Eric 'Broadway' Jones: Here we go. Swoop, we're moving on to an expert level.
Dwayne 'Swoop' Simpson: Expert? Well, I'm not really, you know, I'm a professional, but I'm not really on an expert.
Eric: This is called a spin-back dribble.
Dwayne: Spin-back.
Eric: It's hard to explain these kind of dribbles, because this is kind of something you have to really practice on
Dwayne: Oh, really?
Eric: But we're going to try to break it down using the expert dribbler.
Dwayne: Okay.
Eric: The Roadrunner.
Dwayne: Alright.
Eric: So you actually want to show the defender.
Dwayne: Right.
Eric: Your back.
Dwayne: Back.
Eric: So the defender sees you in front of him first.
Dwayne: Right.
Eric: And then you actually turn around while maintaining the dribble, and you put the ball in front of him, giving him the illusion he can get it.
Dwayne: Right.
Eric: But your hands are so quick.
Dwayne: Right.
Eric: That he's not able to steal the ball. It sounds very complicated.
Dwayne: Okay, okay.
Eric: But when you become an expert like the Roadrunner, it's child's-play.
Dwayne: Alright. Let's see it. Let's see it.
Eric: So you're looking at the defender. You go right up on him. Show him your back. Bam.
Dwayne: Oh, wow.
Eric: That's quick. Bam. Spin-back dribble.
Dwayne: And you're certain that these moves work? Because, you know, I've been playing defense all day long, and I'm not really sure. The other ones, but this one? You know what? Come on. I'm playing defense again, because I don't ...
Eric: Hey, Swoop, are you sure?
Dwayne: No, listen, listen. I can get the ball. I'm going to get the ball. I'm watching you little guy. I'm going to get this ball. I've got it. Come on, baby. Come on.
Eric: Hey, Swoop, we need you for the game, man. You were right there.
Dwayne: It was right there. I had it, though. It was there.
Eric: Relax, man. Listen, listen. That was a nice move right there. I like that one. Good job, buddy. So that's the spin-back dribble. Again, expert moves by an expert ball handler, the Roadrunner. You want to put that ball right in front of the defense. Turn your back on him. Bring it here, and then keep going. That's how you do it. The spin-back dribble.

And basic and one, two, three. Half to the right, half to the left, and five, six, seven. Now let's break it down. This pattern is going to start with the basics, so lets do the basic first, five, six, seven and one, two, three tap, five, six, seven break from here. We're going to push the weight to the outside, open step, middle break. Then we're going to do it on the other side. Open step, middle break. Edwin: Twist.
Daniela: Twist, booty out.

How to Practice Nude Beach Etiquette
Unless you're an old-time nudist, you probably have questions about the proper way to behave on a nude beach. Well, we've got the answers.
Step 1: Don't call them nudists
Don’t call them nudists. The politically correct term is 'naturist.'
Step 2: Don't stare at people's private parts
Don't stare at people's private parts. Here’s a good rule of thumb: If it would be unseemly to gape at that body part when it’s fully clothed, it’s downright rude to gawk at it undressed.
Tip
Assume nothing about the morals of your fellow nude beachgoers.
Step 3: Ask permission before taking photographs
Always ask permission before snapping a photo or video -- they're naturists, not zoo animals. And no one wants to worry that their jelly rolls are going to be on YouTube.
Step 4: Be wary of using binoculars
The same goes for binoculars, which are only appropriate if you’re discovering new lands, looking at birds, or enjoying an opera.
Tip
If you get aroused, you needn't hide it, but you shouldn't flaunt it either. In other words, cut the beach stroller conversation short, and sit down until the moment passes.
Step 5: Restrict nudity to the beach
Restrict nudity to the beach. When you're in the parking lot, for example, have some clothes on.
Step 6: Cover chairs with a towel
Carry a towel wherever you go so you can put it down on beach loungers, bar stools, restaurant chairs, and so on.
Step 7: Make everyone feel comfortable
Make everyone feel comfortable, even those who are only willing to go so far as being 'top-free," as the naturists like to call it. Naturists, after all, are all about acceptance.
Did You Know?
Some naturist clubs only accept married couples.

How to Open a Bottle Of Champagne
The trick is to pop the cork with style and flair—and without creating a dangerous projectile.
Step 1: Make sure bottle is chilled
Champagne is best opened when very cold, so make sure you’re working with a well-chilled bottle. 43 to 48 degrees is ideal.
Tip
Put the bottle in a champagne bucket full of ice. To speed up the chilling process, add cold water and a little salt.
Step 2: Dry bottle & point cork
Dry off the bottle so you can get a good grip, and point the cork away from people.
Step 3: Peel foil wrapper
Peel off the foil wrapper, keeping the wire cage intact.
Step 4: Grip bottle
Loosely grip the bottle’s neck, placing your thumb on top of the cork.
Step 5: Untwist wire cage
Begin untwisting the wire cage, keeping your finger (or palm) firmly over the cork.
Tip
Drape a towel over the bottle’s cork and neck for added protection.
Step 6: Twist bottle & pull down
Don’t twist the cork at all. Keeping a good grip on the cork, and the bottle at a 45-degree angle, twist the fat part of the bottle as you pull the bottle down.
Step 7: Pop and pour
When you hear the tell-tale soft pop, you’re home free—pour away!

OK so after you're warmed up and you've stretched, we're gonna go into some slimming exercises, some cardiovascular movements that will get your heart rate up and start slimming you down. So first we're going to do skaters. What you're going to do is you're going to lean forward, keep your back flat and your core tight, and you're gonna go back and forth. Just like in a skater movement. So you're going to leap to the right, and as you leap you bring this foot behind you and this arm comes in front of you. Same thing happens on the other side. This arm comes in front of you, and this other leg comes behind. So you're going to go back and forth, in like a skating movement. Keeping you back flat and your core tight. Back and forth. You don't want to lean forward to much. You want to keep your back flat, your shoulders back, so that your back is not rounded. Back and forth. And what this is going to do is it's going to get your heart rate up, you're going to start sweating, like a cardiovascular movement. Do it for about thirty seconds, and you can do two or three sets of this. Back and forth. This is great for your legs, you're going to start feeling it burn outside your legs, your butt. And your core is always tight. And that is how you do a skater.

How to Win the Lottery
That little ticket may seem like a long shot, but simple statistics can help you maximize your chances of winning a small fortune.
Step 1: Mix up your numbers
When you're picking numbers, try to get a good mix of odds, evens, highs, and lows.
Tip
If you're playing Powerball, lows are numbers up through 27, and highs are 28 and greater.
Step 2: Pool with others
People who pool their money have a wider variety of number choices and can afford to buy more tickets. But before laying out any cash, the group should sign a mutually agreeable contract.
Step 3: Don't play consecutive numbers
Don't play consecutive combinations: It's extremely unlikely that four or five numbers will hit.
Tip
When playing a five-number game in which the numbers go up to 55, your picks should total between 104 and 176. Sums that fall within that range account for about 70 percent of all lottery jackpots.
Step 4: Vary your picks
Don't pick all of your numbers from the same number group, like the tens or thirties, and avoid selections that all end in the same digit.
Step 5: Play smaller games
For contests where there is always a winner, increase your chances by playing unpopular games and times -- like small payouts and on days like Friday the 13th.
Step 6: Consider scratch-offs
Be smart about scratch-offs. They have better odds than the pick-a-number games, but the payouts are smaller.
Tip
Check your state's official lottery web site for information about payouts and how to claim winnings, or call the office directly to clarify.
Step 7: Go beyond the calendar
People often play dates that are special to them, which means the numbers one through 31 get a real workout. It won't help you win, but if you do, choosing numbers over 31 will help you win bigger, because fewer people will be sharing the jackpot.
Did You Know?
In 2002, a West Virginia man won a $315 million Powerball jackpot, then the largest jackpot ever awarded to a single winner. Oddly enough, he was already a millionaire before he won.

How to Cure Nail Fungus
Are you embarrassed to go barefoot or without nail polish? You can eradicate nail fungus using this straight and easy-to-follow advice.
Step 1: Eliminate carbs and sugars
Eliminate or greatly reduce refined carbohydrates, dairy products, and sugar from your diet. They only feed fungus.
Step 2: Clean and trim nails
Trim yellow fungal growth with clippers and soak your feet or fingers daily for 15 to 20 minutes in two parts warm water with one part apple cider vinegar. Continue this for 12 weeks.
Step 3: Apply hydrogen peroxide
Apply a three percent topical solution of hydrogen peroxide with water several times a day for several months to combat fungal spores in nail beds.
Tip
Always keep your feet and hands dry, especially after eliminating the infection. Wearing cotton socks allows feet to breathe.
Step 4: Treat with tea tree oil
Treat nail fungus with undiluted tea tree oil drops two to three times daily for six months. Even missing one day may result in fungus regeneration.
Step 5: Eat probiotics
Eat probiotics –good bacteria like yogurt and kefir – to combat fungus. Homeopathic practitioners also recommend herbal extracts such as olive leaf oil for their anti-fungal agents.
Tip
Ask your doctor about laser therapy. Treatments are expensive but can be successful.
Step 6: Use prescription medications
Use topical or prescribed oral medications if the homeopathic treatments fail.

How to Stop a Cough with Acupressure
The next time you're hacking up a lung, try stopping it with the ancient Chinese healing art acupressure.
Warning
If you feel pain when using acupressure, stop immediately. Pregnant women should not use acupressure.
Step 1: Press beneath your collarbone
Using the index and middle fingers on each hand, press the two spots located on either side of the notch at the base of the throat, in the hollow just below the collarbone. This strengthens the respiratory system. Keep the pressure up for one to three minutes with this exercise and the following ones.
Step 2: Reach behind you
Reach behind you to press the acupressure points known as the Vital Diaphragm, located about an inch below the highest point of each shoulder blade, toward the center of your back.
Tip
Have someone else press points on your back if you can't reach.
Step 3: Tilt your head down
Tilt your head down and, using the first two fingers on each hand, put pressure on the points a bit above and on either side of the vertabra that protrudes at the top of the spine when your head is leaning forward. This manipulates the point known as Ding Chuan, which relieves wheezing.
Step 4: Relieve a dry cough
For a dry cough, try pressing the point called Heaven Rushing Out: It’s located in the large hollow at the base of your throat, below your Adam's apple, if you're a man.
Did You Know?
Chronic coughing that is the result of emotional problems is called psychogenic coughing, and mostly occurs in children.

What Is Flux? | Soldering
Flux is a very important part of soldering. Flux is necessary to reduce the oxides that tend to form whenever you have hot metals in contact with the air.
In electronics, we use a rosin-core solder or a mild solder or water-soluble solder. Make sure that you choose something that's not plumbing flux or acid-core flux, because that will tend to corrode the parts over time. It's okay for pipes but not for electronics.
So in this case, we're looking at rosin solder flux. It comes in a paste form. If the temperature's a little bit colder, it will tend to crystallize and solidify, but it can be melted with a little bit of heat from the soldering iron.
Now, when you heat flux it tends to produce smoke, so it's good to have some ventilation or some kind of vapor extractor to be sure that you're not breathing in a lot of the caustic vapors from the flux. What the flux does, when you heat a workpiece, is it reacts with these metal oxides that are forming with the temperature and exposure to the air, that tend to interfere with the metal-forming process of soldering. So this chemically reacts with these oxides, and makes for a nice, clean metal that can then form a nice, perfect alloy.
I should mention that many solders come with flux in the core. For example, this is flux-core solder. It's actually hollow, and inside there's a central core of flux. Then as you feed the solder into your workpiece, the flux then distributes itself over the surface of the work, and does its action in reducing those metal oxides, preventing them from occurring as you're doing the soldering. It happens to be at the right moment in time and place, so having a flux-core solder is often very, very helpful.
And finally, we should talk about water-soluble flux, which is a recent improvement in flux. With water-soluble flux, cleaning becomes much, much easier. With rosin-core flux, the flux is not water-soluble. It takes some kind of solvent in order to dissolve it and to remove it from the work piece. Solvents such as trichloroethylene and other toxic solvents must be used.
Water-soluble flux is definitely easier. It may not be appropriate in all circumstances. It can leave a residual layer that may interfere with high-impedance circuits, where you have resistances of ten megaohms or greater. The flux may actually lower that resistance and cause the circuit to malfunction. And on those cases you'd want to use a rosin-core solder flux. But in most cases, the water-soluble flux is the better choice. It's environmentally friendly and it's easier to clean when you're finished.

How to Use a Curling Iron | Hair Tutorials
Today, I'm going to show you how to use a curling iron. A few basic steps before you ever want to put a curling iron to your, is be sure you're using something that has a little bit of hold, and most importantly, a little bit of heat protectant spray. I would also suggest, if you have super-fine hair that doesn't take shape, to maybe add something to it that takes a little bit of texture. Sometimes with my fine-hair clients, I like to actually just prep the hair using a light flexible hold hairspray, just to give it a little of texture and little bit of airiness.
So, what I'm going to do is show you the basic principle of how to use a curling iron. You're always going to want to brush through the section of hair that you're going to curl. I'm going to take my curling iron, and when you're using a curling iron, you always want to curl from the root to the tip. So, it's the exact opposite. You never want to start at the tip and wrap your way up. The reason you don't is because this is the most fragile part of your hair, at the end, and this is the part that needs the most heat. So, you're actually doing it exactly the opposite.
So after you've prepped the hair and brushed it through, you're going to curl it with the curling iron. I always like to go through and season the hair, so I'm just adding a little bit of warmth through the hair and then start at the root, and wrap it around. And if you notice, I'm kind of hovering my clamp open. I'm not pressing all the way down. It's a very light movement. And that might seem easy. I find it really hard because I'm, naturally, not a very delicate person and so for me to be delicate, it takes me to think about it.
You're going to want to start, especially when you're just learning how to curl your hair, you're going ot want to start with a medium temperature and build your way up. Medium temperature is so that you don't feel too rushed while you're doing it. If you feel too rushed while you're doing it, you're going to panic that you're burning your hair and you're not going to have a good experience. So start with a lower temperature, until you get the hang of it.
Another technique that you can do is called tonging the hair, which you would just wrap the hair around the barrel. I'm still going to start by seasoning the hair. If you season the hair by just running it through your barrel, or even if you have your barrel closed and you just give it one full rotation of the hair and wrap it up and down, that's going to alleviate any clamp marks that you might have gotten. So, to tong the hair, you're going to hold your curling iron down, you're going to open it up, and you're going to wrap the hair, from root to tip around the barrel. So you just keep wrapping it around and your going to hold the tip in your hand and then you're just going to touch, I use kind of my middle finger here to just touch the hair. As soon as the hair feels warm, I'm going to go ahead and let it down.
And you'll see you get a very different type of curl. This is a softer, flatter curl, and this one is a little bit fatter and has a more natural end. Both of these curls, of course, can be softened even more by running your hands through. So those are my tips about how to curl your hair. Remember, most importantly, to protect the hair from heat, and to start at the root and work your way to the tip.
