Machine was an older Miller Dynasty 280DX I forgot the amperage the machine was set to, but the amperage remained the same. The only setting I changed for each part was the PPS. 500PPS definitely has a smaller heat affected zone.

First day with the robot and I’m struggling. Welding a steel or aluminum frame would be a piece of cake. Sheet metal boxes push the limits of what these machines are capable of. Is it worth it for this part? Probably not. Once I get the machine dialed in, the finished welds need to be ground flush. Small TIG beads clean quickly. Thick MIG beads do not. More to come and I’ll be giving a step my step breakdown of how to operate the robot soon.

These are my thoughts on the Capital Robotics class. I would assume other classes out there offered by corporations are somewhat similar. This video is meant for people who may be considering taking such a course, for those making an investment in robotics, students, and those who are just curious.
