With an easy-loading barrel akin to that seen on pocket .22s in the past but in a 14-shot .380, Florida-based European American Armory may have a hit on its hands with the new Girsan MC 14 T.

Clay shooting is one of the best disciplines to get into as a new shooter, but it can be pricey. Even beginner or budget over-under shotguns typically start at about $1,000. Over-unders can range up to $5,000 or even $20,000, so I was excited to see the Stevens 555 Sporting pop up on my radar with an MSRP of $991.

Ruger has continued to brush the dust off Marlin's beloved old lever guns and has returned the Model 336 to production. We cruised by Ruger's booth at the 152nd NRA Annual Meetings in Indianapolis last week and were able to wade through the crowds to get a look at the newest version of the classic .30-30.

With an eye-catching $999 suggested retail price, FN's newest black rifle was a hit at the NRA Annual Meetings in Indiana last week. The new FN 15 Guardian runs a mid-length gas system, ships standard with a 16-inch 1:7 twist hybrid profile barrel, and includes a 15-inch free-floating handguard that is covered in M-LOK slots and Picatinny rail. It has a lot of mil-spec internals, as well as an A2 style flash hider, and uses FN’s custom 30-round magazine and synthetic furniture.

Bond Arms continues to deliver Texas-made double-barreled derringer-style handguns, and the new Stubby fits the bill for an ultra-compact two-shot 9mm.

With CZ USA announcing a full-flavored PCC variant of the new Scorpion 3 + just in time for the NRA Annual Meetings, we had to swing by, and, well ... Czech in for more details. The Scorpion 3+ line debuted originally last year with a pistol that upgraded the standard Scorpion 3 by giving it improved ergonomics, ambidextrous controls – including a new ambi bolt catch – and an ambi AR-style mag release. Now, the company has gone full carbine mode in a series complete with a 16.3-inch barrel with a faux suppressor and the iconic EVO-style side-folding collapsible stock.

With new Heirloom and Specialist models, Dan Wesson is keeping a foot in both the vintage and contemporary 1911 market. The newest version of the Specialist debuted at the 152nd NRA Annual Meetings in Indianapolis over the weekend, adding an optics-ready slide to the .45 ACP rail gun. The factory cut has three optic plate options, while a front fixed Novak-style fiber-optic night sight and a tactical rear sight are also mounted.

Ruger made sure to have its new Super Wrangler convertible rimfire revolver on hand in Indianapolis last week. The company brought its expanded Wrangler line of single-action .22s to the NRA Annual Meeting in Indiana for attendees to meet. The new Super Wrangler installment has better target-style sights and a longer barrel than the standard Wrangler model, as well as the ability for the user to swap out cylinders to easily convert the wheel gun from .22 LR to .22 WMR.

Today we take a look at one of the most underrated guns we've ever put hands on, the Stoeger Cougar 8000. There isn't a ton of fan fare surrounding this gun but we'd like to see that change as there are a number of features that make it an outstanding defensive pistol.

When I saw the Ruger .22/45 Mark III Target Model in a local gun store, I immediately recognized the similarity to a Colt Gold Cup .45 ACP pistol. Ruger matched the grip style to Colt’s 1911-series guns for shooters like me who need lots of practice time. The price of centerfire pistol ammo is high, but .22 rimfire ammo costs much less.
