Browning SA-22: John Browning's Rimfire Masterpiece
Nothing says plinking like a .22! Browning’s SA22 was designed by the master, John Browning, to shoot pop cans and small game. It is my favorite for leisure shooting to relax and have fun.
This trim, lightweight takedown rifle is everything I ever wanted as a teen growing up in rural Ohio. I never owned one then, but now you can join me for an in-depth review of Mr. Browning's masterpiece.

The All New Marlin 336 Classic by Ruger
Marlin’s original Model 336 lever action defined generations of deer hunters. The design is now 75 years old, but the road hasn’t always been smooth. Early models have always been favored, but after John Marlin’s company changed hands numerous times over the years, the line went dead.
Flash forward to 2023. Ruger has taken ownership and is righting the ship. On the heels of a family of recently reintroduced Marlin Model 1895s, the brand is shipping the first “new” Model 336 Classics. Could they be the greatest yet? Let’s find out.

Uberti 1851 Navy Conversion Wild Bill in .38 SPL
My favorite .38-caliber revolver is the Colt Navy! It is perfectly balanced to be accurate and smooth in operation. I do not like slow loading of cap-and-ball pistols and cleaning messy black powder fouling.
When I saw this Uberti 1851 Navy Conversion Wild Bill revolver chambered in .38 Special, I had to have it. This beautiful version is named after the famous Wild Bill Hickok. He is known to have carried a cap-and-ball .36 Navy for protection and dueling.

Benelli M1 Super 90 Shotgun: Autoloading Masterpiece
If you are like me, you want your hunting shotgun to be reliable, flexible, and above all, lightweight! That is why I picked the M1 Super 90 by Benelli many years ago. Although Benelli has replaced this M1 with the newer M2, my Super 90 shoots well and is versatile enough to take bird hunting or target shooting. This gun excels in the field due to its simplicity.

Winchester 9422M: Famous Silhouette Rifle
Designed by John Browning in 1894, the carbine was chambered in .32-40 and .38-55, both black powder rounds. Smokeless chamberings followed, and the Winchester 94 became legendary as the most popular lever gun ever made, topping 600,000 by 1991.
Winchester came out with this lightweight .22 Magnum model in 1972. Primarily chambered in .22 LR, the WMR-chambered guns were a bit rarer. All Winchester 94 production ceased in 2006, although Browning imports a close copy of it from Japan today.
