Classical Gas – Mason Williams - Cover
This is my rendition of La Tablatura’s guitar arrangement of "Classical Gas" by American guitarist Mason Williams. Williams released this instrumental composition in 1968 with backing by members of the Wrecking Crew. He has made several recordings and releases of Classical Gas throughout the decades. One of his later versions served as the title track of a 1987 album by Williams and the band Mannheim Steamroller. The original name of “Classical Gas” was “Classical Gasoline” because the music was seen as a fuel for the classical guitar repertoire. A publishing error shortened “Classical Gasoline” to “Classical Gas.” In 1969, Williams won three Grammy Awards for Classical Gas: Best Instrumental Composition, Best Contemporary-Pop Performance, Instrumental, and Best Instrumental Arrangement. Rejuvenating by AmberSky (original music/photos)
“Rejuvenating” is an original instrumental composition I played on electric guitars. Spring is here! The better weather is on its way. During spring we have all kinds of weather—snowstorms, rainstorms, thunderstorms. All kinds of storms! But we also have sunshine, rain showers, blooming flowers, trees, and all of the critters freely roaming about in the warmer weather.
The video visuals are several pictures and videos I took of French Impressionist artists Claude Monet and friends’ outdoor artwork. There are pictures/videos of outdoor nature scenery—snow, rain, ponds, pods, flowers, trees, and so on. Monet was the leader of the impressionists and the master of water lilies, landscapes, and seascapes. His series of paintings of the same scene at different times of day showed his fascination with light and atmosphere.
Impressionist artists merged in the 19th century (1867 and 1886). They challenged the accepted methods of painting. Impressionist artists aimed to capture the fleeting effects of light, color, and movement on their subjects, often painting outdoors and using loose brushstrokes and vibrant hues. Some of the most famous impressionist artists were Claude Monet, Edgar Degas, Édouard Manet, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, and Camille Pissarro, who exhibited their works together in Paris. Theme from Symphony N 40 by Mozart (AmberSky Classical Guitar)
This is my rendition of La Tablatura’s classical guitar arrangement of “Theme from Symphony N 40” by Wolfgang Amadeus. La Tablatura has excellent guitar arrangements for beginner to advanced guitar players.
Symphony No. 40 was written by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Mozart in 1788. Mozart (b.1/27/1756-d.12/5/1791) was born in Salzburg, Austria. He lived to be 35 years old. During his short lifespan he composed more than 800 musical works from every genre of his time. Mozart composed during the classical period of music (1730 to 1820). Mozart is regarded as one of the greatest and most influential composers in the history of Western music. He was a child prodigy who began composing and performing at the age of five. People today acknowledge Mozart as a genius composer. (Source: Wikipedia)

Crimson & Clover by T. James & the Shondells (AmberSky vocals/guitar)
"Crimson & Clover" is a 1968 song by American rock band Tommy James and the Shondells. Written by the duo of Tommy James and drummer Peter Lucia Jr., it was intended as a change in the direction of the group's sound and composition. In February of 1969, Crimson & Clover reached number one on US charts. Prince, Joan Jett, & Cher are some of the artists who have covered this song.
The visuals in this video are of Impressionist artists and their artwork. Impressionism art was a radical art movement that began in the late 1800s. French Impressionism started with painting and then to music. Impressionism art developed mainly in France during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
“Impressionist paintings comprise the work produced by a group of artists who shared a set of related approaches and techniques. The Impressionist artists rebelled against classical art by embracing modernity to create art that reflected the world in which they lived. Claude Monet, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Camille Pissarro, Alfred Sisley, and Berthe Morisot. Later Édouard Manet, whose earlier style had strongly influenced several of them, Mary Cassatt, Edgar Degas, Paul Cézanne, and others joined them.
The identifying feature of the Impressionist artist was an attempt to record a scene accurately and objectively, capturing the transient effects of light on color and texture. They abandoned the traditional muted browns, grays, and greens in favor of a lighter, more brilliant palette; stopped using grays and blacks for shadows; built up forms out of discrete flecks and dabs of color; and often painted outside rather than in the studio. They abandoned traditional formal compositions in favor of a more casual and less contrived disposition of objects within the picture frame, and their subject matter included landscapes, trees, houses, and even urban street scenes and railroad stations. After the French Academy’s Salon consistently rejected most of their works, they held their own exhibition in 1874; seven others followed. A critic described them derisively as “impressionists,” and they adopted the name as an accurate description of their intent. Before dissolving in the late 1880s, the group had revolutionized Western painting.”
